WHACK A WALKER
Character Name: Kane
Result: 3/6 WIN (3-4 = hit, at least 2/6 = WIN)

It was his first prom in...ever...so Kane was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a whole area dedicated to games and such. He wasn't too into these kinds of festival games, mind, but he was definitely more into them than he was into dancing so he walked around for a bit and took everything in at first. It all seemed so festive, so he pulled his camera out and took a few shots of the booths before he stepped up to one that looked simple enough and laid his eyes on the gnomes that were manning the station.

"So..." he started, a little confused when they started chattering about something or other. Eventually one of them yawned and gave him instructions, so he grabbed the provided hammer (he wasn't entirely sure it was softened for the sake of the game, but that wasn't his business) and gave it a shot. The first toy to pop up was too fast--or he was still getting used to things, so he didn't feel too bad when he missed. The second one popped up and he managed to hit it, and he couldn't help but grin. He missed the next one, but got the next two, and then missed the last one before the gnome grunted and told him to drop the hammer.

Apparently his hand-eye coordination wasn't that bad since the gnome handed him a coin and shooed him away, so that must mean that he won. Kane pocketed the coin and went on to see if there were other games he might try his hand at.

ARCHERY RANGE
Character Name: Kane
Result: Turn 1 - 3 points
Turn 2 -
Turn 3 -
Total: (at least 8 = WIN)

Considering his hand-eye coordination seemed alright, Kane found himself drawn to the archery game just nearby the last game he was at. He hung around the back of the crowd for a short while, taking a picture or two as he watched some games to vicariously get a feel for it. When the crowd had mostly cleared out he gathered a bit of his confidence and finally stepped forward.

"I'll give it a shot," he said, the pun going completely over his head. The gnome that handed him his bow and arrows looked him a little funny though, then stepped back to make sure he wasn't hit with a stray arrow.

Kane quickly tucked his camera away and picked up the bow first, fiddling with it a moment before mimicking the motions he'd seen others make just a little while ago. Next he picked up an arrow and again mimicked what he saw the others do, and then he let it fly. When he looked it honestly surprised him that he hit anything at all...but he was glad to have earned some points for it. Two more arrows to go...

Kane picked up his next arrow and tried to aim a little better this time. His tongue even stuck out a little with the concentrating he was doing, and the background noise and chatter from other games and other creeple in attendance to prom that year sort of faded out from the moment he started aiming until he let this arrow fly as well.

He scowled at the gnome that snickered at his failure despite the extra effort--just one point this time. That's alright, he still had one more arrow to go.

Again, he picked up his third and final arrow. He wasn't sure how many points he needed but he was still aiming for the bull's eye. He drew the arrow back once more, aimed, and let it fly, scoring another three points. He gave half a fist-pump when the gnome simply came and asked for the arrow back. Kane waited for a moment to see if he would get another coin this time, but no...the gnome just waddled away back to his station.

It was a bit of a bummer, but not a big deal. No one had seen him fail, or at least no one he knew (as far as he could tell), so it was fine. He walked off to see what other games were around.

SAVE THE FEAST!

Result: HIT

Eventually he came across the dance floor when some masked something-or-other approached, going on about food being ruined and how he could go about helping save the food. Kane gave the dance floor and the food tables on opposites end a good look and he did notice quite a number of birds hanging about, pecking at food and what have you, so he figured it couldn't possibly hurt to help.

Possibly.

He wasn't much of a dancer but he did his best...er, sort of. He wriggled his way toward one corner of the dance floor and, when the timing of the song was right, hopped just next to one of the birds. It squawked quite loudly before glaring at him and flying off, much to Kane's satisfaction. The masked character came up to him then and handed him a coin for his trouble, then went back to recruiting other students for help.

Boogie-ing wasn't really his thing so he wandered away when the masked creature wasn't looking and was soon within earshot of a curious conversation--something about a precious. One of the things glanced at him before pointing at the stack of hay, and the two on bickering about the ring or precious again. Whether it was a ring or whatever he wasn't sure, but he spent all of ten seconds looking and came up with a stick.

Said stick simply gets swatted away, so Kane dismissed himself as the two bickered on.

He eventually circled back and realized that he'd probably be circling around the games a lot that night, which was fine with him. Kane stepped up soon enough and was once again given a hammer (rather cordially this time because it was the more enthusiastic gnome between the two), and he started whacking at the walkers. He got four of them this time, and when he gave the hammer back the bored gnome traded it for a gold coin, which he once again put in his pocket.

ARCHERY RANGE

Turn 2 - 0 points
Turn 3 - 10 points
Total: 10 WIN (at least 8 = WIN)

He wasn't feeling too confident when he came back to the archery game, but he still wanted to give it another shot--again, no pun intended. Kane took the bow and three arrows and did his best to aim. The first shot was a misfire and barely made it halfway across the range; he glared toward the gnome that snickered (it was the same one as last time). The second shot was more or less the same, getting yet another snicker out of the gnome and firing up the first year quite a bit in the process. He aimed very, very carefully for his third shot and...bull's eye!

Kane nearly did a fist pump out of pure joy but stopped himself mid-motion, so he looked a little funny...but he returned the bow with a huge grin. The gnome took the bow and gave him a coin and even a compliment for that last shot.

The dance floor looked like it was still overrun with birds, so he jumped in again after letting the masked whoever-it-was know. He landed square next to one, which once again squawked and actually pecked at his legs a couple of times before flying off and leaving him a "present." He scowled and sidestepped away from what it left behind, but the masked whoever-it-was sort of just blazed right over it and handed him another coin.

They were repeating their thanks over and over again as they disappeared into the crowd of probably really, really confused dancers.

The duo at the haystack game were still arguing, so he stood around and listened to their nonsense for a bit before he felt one glare at him to start playing already. With a sigh the first year started his second search for the ring or precious or whatever was actually lost in the haystack, but once again came back to them with the stick that was promptly swatted away.

One of the two hurled some kind of insult at Kane, who was already starting to back away, before going back to their argument.

WHACK A WALKER
Character Name: Kane
Result: 2/6 WIN (3-4 = hit, at least 2/6 = WIN)

Kane wandered around the prom venue for a little bit again, trying to find other ways to perhaps entertain himself before eventually coming back to the games section. Nothing else, at least at the moment, really appealed to him elsewhere so there he was for the third time that night (though if he kept coming back there was little chance he'd actually keep count). The gnome were still handling the game in very opposite manners--overly enthused and overly done with the world and everything in it--so he ignored them for the most part and took the hammer and started whacking away.

He had a little less luck this time around, only managing to smash the heads of two walkers. Still, when he turned in the hammer one of the gnomes gave him another gold coin.

The gnome manning the archery range gave him a funny look when he came back again, but handed him the bow and arrows all the same and repeated the instructions before stepping away to handle other students coming to take a shot. Kane sighed and took aim and let his first arrow fly after only about a second. Rightfully so, he missed. Second shot was a lot better--he hit one of the inner circles--but he also took a little bit more time to aim and concentrate. It was getting a little louder behind him so it was a bit tougher for the third shot, but he managed to concentrate just enough to hit dead center again.

The gnome collected the arrow and traded it for another gold coin, and Kane walked away with a giant, self-satisfied grin.

And it was back to the bird-infested (okay, that was probably an exaggeration) dance floor where the masked boogie-ing guy kept going around asking for help with getting rid of the birds. Kane raised his hand again to get the guy's attention before starting to do a little jig on his own, eyeing an area of the floor that wasn't too full of other bodies. He wasn't a huge fan of crowds and it was a miracle he'd come to prom at all, but there he was trying to play some games and (maybe...maybe) mingle if he was feeling more up to it later. Thankfully no one came up to him while he was doing his little dance, and before long he did a sort of hop-skip into a spot just beside a bird, causing it to squawk in both surprise and irritation (he noted that it did glare at him, much like the others) before flying off.

Kane slowly made his way off the dance floor and waited until the masked man found him again, and he pocketed the coin that was gifted to him for his efforts.
