"Earth represents those things that are rigid and solid in this world. Pae'il with earth affinities are often stubborn, and highly resistant to movement or change. They are seen as confident Pae'il within society, though part of this confidence is merely that resistance to change, a desire for things to remain as they are."
In the company of strangers, Delyth comes off as an atypically shy girl. She shies away from the crowds, eyes downcast and her arms and wings folded behind her so as to make her presence as least noticeable as possible. If she hasn't anything particularly important to contribute, she won't. Even things that she feels need to be said are often kept to herself until the last possible moment. This comes, in part, from her forgetfulness as much as her anxieties. Do not expect her to remember you if she met you only in passing or a brief conversation. Your name; best not even consider it a possibility. She has a way of removing anything that does not appear important from her memory very soon after it occurs and does so habitually and without intending to.
This habit may make her appear somewhat cold or distant, and to most that would be a correct assumption. She is frightened of 'the unknown,' of leaving herself emotionally vulnerable, and of those she cares about being hurt. Should such a thing happen, it would leave her greatly troubled and take a long time for her to emotionally recover. Instead, she does not readily allow any others to grow close to her.

Personality: What was once a solitary child living only with the spirits of the jungle, innocent and self-reliant, has aged into a very different kind of personality due to his upbringing. While he never wanted for any of the essentials, he was also given heavy doses of love and hate in equal measure. Scorned for what he is but cannot change, praised for apologizing for things that need not be apologized for... he loathes nearly everything about himself and truly laments that he he was born an angel - one of the lower races. He would give everything to be a fey. Aided in turn by his adopted mother, he has limited his eating, his exercise, and bound his body in growth to develop a more androgynous, fey-like body. Even then... Even that is not nearly enough to make him feel comfortable in his skin.
He may have come to recognize his relationship with his adoptive mother as being mutually toxic as he grew older, but even then he has no inclination to relieve himself of the situation. Much in the same manner a river continues flowing through a terrain's twists and turns, he rolls with life's punches without much effort. He takes things as they come and doesn't stress too much about the potential outcomes or consequences that may happen as a result. To a degree, he has a fatalistic outlook on life - what will happen, will happen, so there's no need to worry about it. So he doesn't. He does wonder at times if he is simply wasting his life away in idleness, but these thoughts tend to dissipate without much reflection. It would take extraordinary effort to cause him to panic - and honestly, he wouldn't even understand what was happening to him until later reflection. Likewise, he tends to have a muted emotional response in his everyday, both regarding to positive and negative emotions. He does not respond strongly to either mania or depression, and he finds it difficult to empathize with other's emotions as a result.
Even with such a baseline calm demeanor, he seeks out simple, time-passing activities to do just that. Fishing, bird-watching, needlework, reading - the sort of things others might write off as "boring" are exactly what he enjoys doing the most. Interestingly, he is also quite fond of sexual activities, as they appear to be the only thing capable of stimulating his nerves. He wouldn't go so far as to self-identify as a deviant, per say, but he is willing to go further than most others to satiate his appetite when it hits. Should a partner back out prematurely, however, he is likely to become visibly frustrated and remain irritable for some time thereafter.

"Earth represents those things that are rigid and solid in this world. Pae'il with earth affinities are often stubborn, and highly resistant to movement or change. They are seen as confident Pae'il within society, though part of this confidence is merely that resistance to change, a desire for things to remain as they are."
She's the kind of pae to take things as they come and try to not worry too hard about what's currently happening or what could happen later down the road. It would take something extraordinary to shake up her relaxed demeanor. She doesn't think too hard about things or try to read between the lines of what's happening to find a sort of hidden meaning. That's not to say she takes everything at purely face-value, as she can be rather skeptical and claims that this degree of pessimism simply makes her a "realist," but she doesn't want to waste energy by obsessing over it. In fact, much of her life is dedicated to minimizing the effort she needs to achieve her dreams. It's not that she's lazy, mind you - she can put out an honest effort when it's needed - but she'd rather "work smart" than "work hard." And she'd rather relax and enjoy herself than work at all. Impulsive and prone to sudden shifts in her tone and desires, if it weren't for her incredibly calm demeanor, many would find her to be initially off-putting. That's to put it lightly. She is prickly of strangers at first encounter, even going so much as to provoke them into showing their 'true, ugly selves;' even should a decent first-impression be provided, she is likely to remain suspicious for some time. Just because someone was nice once does not mean they will always be so; likewise, someone who has gained her trust can lose it in just a moment over something trivial. When her defenses are lowered, she is a hearty individual. Welcoming and gentle, a minor stubborn streak apparent in her mannerisms, and a lover of crude humor. She prefers to remain out of conflicts and will go to extreme lengths to remove herself from an uncomfortable situation, even if it proves to be spiteful and selfish.
Children are barred from her initial hostility. She absolutely adores children, even if she is not always the best at interacting with them. Even so, an earnest effort will be made. When near her, she assumes the role of a protector and takes great responsibility in caring for and ensuring their safety. None are barred from this. Should she watch one grow into adulthood, she will have internalized them as a child and continue to treat them as such.
Unsurprisingly, she feels utter contempt towards those of inherited authority. Birth and Early Childhood: The only daughter to her poor parents - her mother was a Chef de Partie (poissonnier) in the palace kitchen and her father one of the rangers - Åsrun was raised in a warm, if modest, environment. This all changed one night in her late childhood. The night her father didn't return. Assumed to be killed in action, her mother fell into a deep depression as she mourned the loss of her love, growing more and more emotionally unstable in the process. At the peak of her depression, the roles of child and mother were ultimately reversed, with Åsrun skipping lessons to care for her ailing parent.

The Turning Point: As puberty came and passed, her mother took a new lover under the pretense of moving on and starting a new family. The son of one of the Queensguards, her lover was outwardly kind, even doting, but would become cruel to Åsrun when the two were left alone. Unwanted advances, mind games, emotional manipulation... Soon, her childhood home ceased to be. While she made attempts at reaching out to other adults in authority for help, such cries were in vain. How could such a well-to-do man do the things she accused him of? Surely she was just throwing a spiteful tantrum! Eventually, he convinced her mother that Åsrun was the reason for her unhappiness, and only by being rid of her could she finally move past her late-mate. He was successful, and Åsrun was barred from her home without notice. In her panic, she tried to find an apprenticeship or some way to sustain herself in the society, but was ultimately denied due to her own emotional instability or the masters' commitments at the time.

Truly humble through and through, he isn't one to brag about his accomplishments or to seek out attention for a job well done, nor does he want for much in the way of material possessions; and what he has, he has to give, be that knowledge or goods. What he lacks in book-smarts, he has experience, perseverance, and a good head on his shoulders to get him through most situations. No matter how difficult a task may seem, you won't find him complaining about it - and if it's simply too much, he's not above asking for help. Now, he may not always come across in the best manner, but that's more so due to social ineptitude and the way others can read him like an open book than hostility.
His happiest moments are those spent in the company of family and friends, and he would go to the Dragnid and back to be there for them. If you're family, you're family forever, no matter what you may do. Blood is thicker than water, and he'll more readily forgive and forget than hold a grudge or act out of spite. Growing Apart: Despite their talks of moving in together and raising a family, and despite Thulani's best efforts to reach out, Aquarious begins to grow distant. As time passes, their contact disappears entirely. Perhaps... perhaps he had unknowingly done something to push her away on accident - had he gone too fast? grown too close? done something to deeply upset her? Without a way to ask, he'll likely never know.
Offering a Neighborly Hand: Spurred on by his mother, Thulani returns home then and again to help their neighbor, Ducky, with the farm as she raises her newborn daughter, Blush, alone.
