[1v1] Crash and Burn (Melvin/Slaw)

The haunted house was just dusty enough, just haphazard enough to ruin the illusion of it being just a poorly designed house. He hated old houses and he gripped the rod sword more tightly as he walked the halls.

He'd surely hear a thunk and a shuffling ahead that seemed to come from a room. Then the door creeeked open slowly.


Slaughter had been exploring the school for a raidable pantry when he accidentally stumbled upon a gateway to the haunted house. Fortunately, it spat him out into a relatively safe spot. Unfortunately, it wasn't likely to be safe for long, even with his creepy creepin.

He was quiet as he listed, sword out and pointed up, hand close to his chest as he moved. As the door creeked, he stopped and glanced around. No cover. The hallway eas wode but not good for dodging. Not ideal but it would have to do ubtil they could get into a room.

He waited and took a fighting stance.

The student, a dirty blonde with one white eye and one black, wandered through the doorway and into the hall with little to no attempt at subtlety. His dark-colored ears, round and sparse with hair, twitched slightly as he sniffed the air.

"This closet is bigger than I thought," he muttered to himself before suddenly turning and facing the blonde, who was clearly holding a weapon.

His rat-like tail went completely straight and rigid.

Melvin kept the weapon at him but waited. He looked near dead, which had him wondering.

"Halloween, right?" He said, debating if they were something else. He didn't need the energy from a horsemen and this thing looked dead.

"Halloween," he confirmed, completely unaware what that meant for him.

"What does that make you?" He eyed the weapon over curiously. "A reaper?" He cautioned.

He stared back and smiled, glad to have a power source to attack.

"No. Try again." He said, wondering how common knowledge the existance of hunters was. He readied the sword and took a fighting stance.
