It had been quite a while since he had been back in the Nchi. And already, he had been whacked by Boneka for getting the wrong sort of scales or proceeding to taunt her about it. He couldn’t help it, though. The youth was such a brat and fun to tease.

Stretching happily, he had finished checking in with Shauku about diplomatic affairs, had delivered his goods to his clients, and was ready for a long, refreshing nap in his den. It was nice to get home and be able to spend solitude in his den. It was his own private space, built rather nicely by vervets, baboons, and meerkats. It was a mound with supported beams on the inside, a place that funneled smoke if he decided to start a fire in a protective space, a stream that ran through one area. It was also rather large, with two more areas that opened up further down and to the back. His wasn’t the largest den with such creative structures. But he enjoyed it. It was great for a bachelor such as him.

Stretching, he moved across the main cluster of dens, spotting someone he had talked to on occasion. A slow grin stretched. ”Why hello,” he murmured playfully to Nantale. He wouldn’t touch, of course. He made a habit of not approaching mated females. If they made a move on him first, however… well, he wasn’t one to deny a pretty lady.
