Keepin' It Simple - El's Pae

Welcome!

I know I've been incredibly inactive but, hopefully, putting together this journal/diary will get me on the right track to making it up. n.n

That said, this is gonna be pretty basic as it's more for my own record-keeping and peace of mind than anything else. Each pae will get their own post, with a little blurb of a bio, links to RP activity, and probably little notes for myself to keep track of who wants time with that particular pae. Feel free to stalk and plot; PM me on here or poke at me on the discord for requests.

Roslyn

Ros is a wide-eyed innocent who tends to look for the silver lining in all things. In other words: she's an optimist, a "the glass is half full" kind of person. She enjoys collecting rocks and hates being cooped up indoors on rainy days. Roslyn is gentle, kind, and humble.

Midoriko

Midoriko has been. and will always be, a little hellion. She's not particularly crude or rude but she's very much a free spirit and lets herself be taken on flights of fancy. Always exceptionally creative and artistic, Midoriko wouldn't be opposed to putting up all manner of graffiti. At some point, without her knowledge, she became a tiger mom and fought hard not to let Malachite leave, but he's all grown up now.

As his name suggests, DYB looks for the best in everyone and does what he can to help them see it in themselves. He's everyone's number one cheerleader, encouraging with a child's sense of enthusiasm. He adores his foster-mum, Ros. Kurt's Ranch is the best place ever 'cause it has minipacas and his best friend, Pip.

Beltan

Beltan is every inch the warrior. He takes great pride in his position within the Royal Guard and being chosen to escort Her Highness Tariel to meet the land-dwellers. Despite his earnest efforts to be brave, serious, and a credit to Her Majesty's service, he still displays a certain ineptitude in his overeagerness. He's just grateful to be back, mostly. He still messes up sometimes, but he's a devoted father and mate.

Selich

Selich is naturally curious and playful. He quite enjoys using his unusual good looks and honey-colored eyes to charm land pae with his irreverent attitude. His sense of fun also leads him to find amusement in the knowledge that naiads don't recognize him for what he is, instead mistaking him for one of their own.
Selich has a bit of a Scottish burr. As it wasn't particularly obvious in the VDay stuff but made an appearance in Beltan's return post, I'm making it canon that he drops the accent when he's trying to be smooth.

Nebulosa often comes off as aloof but really, she's just quite shy. She can be slow to warm up to others because of her shyness. However, with some persistence, she can become exceptionally affectionate and warm.

Malachite

Malachite is very much Midoriko's son and very like her in many ways only in miniature. Well, not so mini anymore as he's a teen now and actually taller than her; both facts that he loves to constantly remind her of. He comes by the snark and quick wit honestly, inherited from his mother and picked up from Kane due to proximity.

Current Events: Still in the midst of the business of bringing him into the world. But he, like George R. R. Martin's winter, is coming. <<

Horkos

Spartan God of Oaths. Brother to Phaenna and Kleta. Son of Ares, mother unknown. Despite the seriousness of his job and title, Horkos is a pretty chill guy. He's got a long-standing pseudo-sibling rivalry going with Logoi; the taunting is real. Horkos covers mostly oaths of fealty or protection, but, as a member of Venus' retinue, he works closely with Hymnaios and oversees marriage vows, promise pacts, and handfasting.

Quetzal

Quetzal is a bit of a goof. He's embraced that he'll never be as graceful a swimmer as, say, his dad, or other naiads (his feathers cause a fair bit of drag), which is a large part of his silliness. On land, though, he makes Beltan look clunky and ungainly. Quetz likes his 'Uncle' Hjortur a lot; the other male naiad stops by every once and awhile to say hi and tease his dad. He's not sure what "ditching" is, but it always makes Beltan huff.

Fenella

Fenella is very prim and proper, especially when compared to her often rough and tumble sister. She chooses to speak formally in most cases and is almost always polite and on her best behavior. However, when pushed (usually by Sgàile), she can become quite haughty and snappish.

Sgàile is not shy in the slightest. Instead, she is incredibly outgoing, adventurous, and prone to showing off. Her favorite thing to do as a pup was to drive her da to distraction and then beat a hasty retreat to the water via cannonball. This is still her favorite pastime.

Anthias

Anthias dances to the beat of her own drum; most of the time literally. Having no real talent for singing, she hums to herself while she dances. This habit can be a bit misleading and cause some to think that she's a total space cadet, but she takes her job as Water Fetcher quite seriously. She hails from Forn Sheedhiel. Navarchus is the bane of her existence, but she puts up with him because his seed was harvested at the same time as Serrani's. Calanthe is probs her best friend; when she's not loitering helping in the kitchens, she's with the gardener.

Coraciidae

Coraciidae is easily distracted to say the least. Shiny things especially catch her eye. What she attends to varies, though, and she tends to float from thing to thing on a whim.

Current Events: She met lots of nice paeple at the Venus Day party. The maze was awkward, but the actual party was worth. Dulce and Beatrice are real cute. Domini has cool protective stingy spines.
