                        Personality: Unrepentant and malevolent, Akira walks the earth claiming souls in the name of Jashin as one of his emissaries of death. She has a one-track mind for murder and would rather shoot first and ask questions later. The only comraderies she considers worth her while are those of her fellow "horsemen", and those who serve Jashin. Though, she would not hesitate to sacrifice a fellow follower of Jashin if she felt they were weak and not worth their lord's attention.

                        Biography: Akira Genji began her story as a blessing to a family of cultists. A ritual had been performed, and souls offered up to Jashin in exchange for a child that would lead the family's order in glorious destruction for the magnification of The god of Death. The spilling of blood and the profane ritual that had ensued during her conception brought forth a child with the rare and destructive Kekkai-Tota, but at a price. This cost would not become realized until she had grown much older, and it was during these early years she spent being indoctrinated and bathed in the text and ritual of murder and sacrifice to her divine progenetor. Her talent for killing and her obvious signs of antisocial tendencies were praised by the family, as they were the signs of a true killer, a pure psychopath. This childhood of abuse and misdirection would soon come to haunt them.

                        As Akira grew older, she began to exhibit her talent with the scythe and her love for murder on the local serfs and workers in Moon Country, slaying them in absolutely horrific displays, with nothing but a pentacle shaped ritual sign as her calling card. Now, these murders were done without the approval of her family elders, and not in the routine ritual manner that kept attention away from them. The people she was murdering were not drug addicts, and low-lifes that nobody would miss. These were people with families, and sometimes those people's families would ask questions. It was the evening the family came together to admonish Akira that she snapped, and nothing but dust was left in the morning after. There was no grim display when the authorities of the local lord came calling, just dust in the wind and profane altars. Akira had gone off on her own in the dead of night, now guided only by her prayers to Jashin and the wave of death she planned to leave in her wake.

                        During the final years of her "finishing", she picked up her skills in the ninja arts primarily through the shared teachings of fellow followers of Jashin. She was tutored and schooled to hone her killing arts with each 'sacrifice' to her lord. Thus, the assassination arts of ninjutsu and use of her scythe became almost second nature. After all, she had been born to do nothing but serve the god of death. Akira had even gone so far as to merge her psychosis with the idea and personification that she was an angel of death, sent by Jashin to spread his will.

The Elementalist's wide understanding of the elements reduces the cost of their elemental ninjutsu by [1] whole rank without losing their potency but elemental ninjutsu cannot be lowered in cost beyond this. Additionally, the user can choose [1] elemental status effect upon the character's creation that will cruelly apply at [1] tier higher than the rank of the technique at a maximum of the fourth tier on contact.

                        ▱▰▱ Maladies PhysicianShinobi of this discipline are experts in iryojutsu and are especially well-versed in afflictions. Their medical techniques cure all symptoms of status effects applied to the user, rather than where most of the techniques cure them one at a time. In addition, medical techniques which inflict a status may inflict three different applications of the status, rather than just one. The user's crafted poisons also carry this property. The shinobi also obtains 5 custom techniques for medical ninjutsu as well as a Medical Ninjutsu Keystone technique. Refer to the Keystone Guideline for more information.
                        ▱▰▱ Cross Class:Ninjutsu – Medical: The user is able to combine their medical techniques and ninjutsu for a single action, paying only the total resource cost. Doing so allows the harming elements of the ninjutsu to impact foes while the healing aspects are able to heal allies in it's area of effect simultaneously. Once every three posts, the user may use this effect with offensive medical ninjutsu.

                        Non-Combat Outfit: When in the comfort of his home, Gotetsu sheds the formal attire and dons more casual, loose-fitting clothing.
                        Combat Outfit: For all other situations outside of what is listed above, Gotetsu dresses in high-quality suits. The full dress, equipped with vest, tie, and jacket as well. There are various pockets, both hidden and fully visible, on this suit that he uses to carry various ninja tools such as kunai, shuriken, wire spools, and so on.


                        ▰ SOCIAL AND PERSONALITY

                        Nindo: "The reality is that you can be whoever or whatever you want, so long as your resolve is strong enough to accept the consequences."
                        Personality: Gotetsu Ryugasai has a bit of a complicated personality. He maintains a controlled composure, an attempt to prove to himself that he’s better than his mind, but also as a show of what he would call dignity. Beneath his exterior, He’s passionate, kind hearted, and a deeply loving person. He forms attachments extremely quickly, and the loss of those attachments is heartbreaking for him. He has big emotions, and those same emotions come with their own metaphorical cliff. Gotetsu’s mind floats somewhere at the bottom of that cliff. He suffers from major depression, coupled with a generalized anxiety disorder, and he’s generally a complex mess of mixed emotions. His depression manifests itself on a spectrum, but when in the midst of an episode, he becomes extremely irritable. To the point that small triggers call forth a deep well of rage within him. Regardless of if he’s suffering a depressive episode or not, he will do everything in his power to hide it. If you peek beyond his stoic mask, you’ll see his warm emotions, but it’s extremely rare that he will allow someone to see the darkness beneath that.
                        The one saving grace is that he has at least a semblance of control over his own mind. Strangely enough, despite his hesitation to do so, he can “turn it off,” meaning that he can stop himself from feeling any emotion at all.

                        On a more mental level, and less emotional, Gotetsu’s mind operates with a dominantly logical hierarchy, using facts and understood concepts to navigate the world around him; however, he prefers being creative, often letting his thoughts paint vivid pictures of impossible worlds and images when in the mood to daydream. His moral compass is primarily grey. Good and evil, chaos and order, yin and yang; he doesn’t believe in one without the other, nor does he believe that you can solely fall on one side of the spectrum. As such, he may be loyal to his village and his companions, but business is business, and he will do whatever he must to ensure that everything operates as smoothly as possible. He’ll lie on his own, but isn’t opposed to cheating or stealing either if he is given the order. Regardless of the loyalty he feels for his nation, business is just business, and he will sacrifice any number of pieces of himself to make sure that business is good.

                        Gotetsu prefers the quiet, finding constant strings of noise to be draining, as his focus will shift with each sound, and can easily fall victim to sensory overload due to the shifting stimuli. He struggles with real communication, as if the words he needs to say disappear from his vocabulary, and instead will fall defiantly and selectively mute if he doesn’t like the conversation being had. His depression and anxiety take their own respective tolls on the functionality of his brain, and result in slightly impaired short-term memory retainment and a few complexes that he’s developed over the years.

                        Although his past might paint a different story, Gotetsu Ryugasai does not enjoy violent confrontation any longer. He has matured since his youth, and now finds physical altercation to be a barbaric way to handle disputes. He prefers diplomacy and discussion be used to reach a mutual agreement. However, if the Tanikage were to give the order, Gotetsu is willing to put aside his personal feelings in order to enact her command.

                        Biography:
                        ”Once upon a time,” a calm voice began, echoing through the room from somewhere behind the crowd of young academy students. The energy that the boys and girls were buzzing with moments before died down. Eyes and ears perked up to locate the man who would be their guest speaker today. Still hidden away, he continued. ”This sort of event would not have been necessary. I guess times really have changed.” A figure slowly entered the room. Dignified in posture, clad in a luxury suit-tie-ensemble. Smokey eyes glanced left and right as he walked, taking quick scans of the faces to judge the general interest of the group. The bottoms of his derby shoes hit the floor in a way that almost commanded respect, echoing his footfalls throughout the auditorium. In front of the rows of students was a makeshift stage. A chair and stool rested upon it, a wordless invitation for the guest to make himself comfortable. At the very least, the stool was meant to serve as a table to hold the glass of water and ashtray that had also been provided. The man turned the foldable chair around before sitting, crossing his arms in front of his chest and resting them on the back.

                        His face was carefully neutral, not belying any indication of his emotions. He rested there for a moment before sitting up straight, pulling a pack of cigarettes and a lighter from the inside breast pocket of his jacket. A sprig of flame and a long drag, exhaling a thin cloud of smoke. Finally, with the buildup of anticipation being almost too great to sustain further, he spoke. ”My name is Gotetsu Ryugasai. I’ve been asked to speak with you all as a way of… Invigorating your spirits, lighting that fire in your bellies that all of the greatest shinobi in history had at your age. Let me be clear,” he paused to take in another drag of tobacco. ”I have no intention of doing that.” The students gasped and whispered among themselves. The teachers in charge glared in Gotetsu’s direction, obviously displeased with his speech so far. Their anger and confusion was quickly replaced with curiosity as the speaker continued. ”I’m simply here to tell you a story.”

                        “I did not grow up here. In fact, I was born and raised in a different country altogether. One ruled by the lawless, where the only thing you could do was survive. By whatever means necessary.”
                        The children’s whispers died away, a hush falling over the crowd. At this point, some of them had leaned forward in their seats, eager to hear more. To them it might have sounded like the beginnings of a fairy tale. Another drag, knocking the ashes into the tray beside him. ”My father was a man who was quick to anger, and my mother turned a blind eye to his cruelty. It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that I left home rather young. After all, that wasn’t much of a home to begin with. I started running the occasional errand for some of the people in my village to earn wages to eat with, but I was far too eager for more, and started keeping some rather sour company. A band of thieves, that’s what you would have called us. Back then, though, we were just like everyone else.” The darker tone of the story began to settle in the childrens’ minds. Teachers were growing restless. Perhaps it wasn’t the best idea to have this particular guest at the academy. Nonetheless, Gotetsu’s expression was unwavering.

                        ”Over time, we began to take bits of control away from various semi-militant groups that patrolled our fair village. We would rob them of their supplies, strike when they were at their weakest, and force them into submission one by one. By the time I was a little older than you lot, we had become the only form of government that my home had ever known, even if it was mostly tyrannical. We took what we wanted, dealt punishments on a whim, we even burned a few properties just to send a message.” At this point, one of the teachers stood up quickly and took a step, preparing to forcefully remove Gotetsu from the stage. The teacher’s eyes met the grey pools of Mr. Ryugasai, and he returned to his seat. Slowly, as if in a trance. Another teacher moved to check on his friend while Gotetsu pressed on with his tale. ”We maintained power for around a year before the greed for more power set in, and we looked towards conquering more land. We were able to collect a bit more territory, but in doing so, our little paradise was noticed by other villages. The fury that rained on our land,” a slight chuckle finally broke his stoic expression. He paused here to take a few more hits from his lit cigarette. ”It was glorious.”

                        “Our little group broke apart, some of us fled while the village was destroyed, others stayed to fight the good fight. Turns out, the United Villages had known of our position of power for quite a while before they stepped in. They didn’t want to take us out without a good reason, avoiding potential war and whatnot. I later learned that they had been referring to us as the ‘Black Flag Group’ after we had taken control. I was one of the ones who had fled, and I was hunted down and captured. They threw me in prison for a few years. I never really cared what the charges were for. Eventually, after Tanigakure was founded, I was given a choice. I could rot in that cell, or I could turn things around. A new leaf, if you will. Contribute something good to the world. That’s how they put it, at least.”
                        Gotetsu extinguished his cigarette and stood, walking around the chair to stand at the edge of the stage. He stuffed his hands into his pockets and allowed the students a good long look at the man before them, at the appearance of discipline and dignity that he personified. A few minutes passed like this, not a word was said until Gotetsu cleared his throat.

                        ”I have no interest in trying to convince you to keep working hard. If you truly want to be shinobi, hard work is a given. Training every day to hone your skills to exemplary degrees. The world you will be joining soon is going to challenge you every step of the way, especially now. I told you my story as a way to show you that there is room for growth. I never would have pictured myself standing here, giving you this speech if I did not allow myself to grow as a person. I would have never become a shinobi myself, if I did not allow myself to become better. You will be forced to make some difficult decisions in your future, but do not let those choices dictate the rest of your life. Always give yourself the opportunity to become better. The future of this great nation is in your hands, you need to be ready.” Gotetsu left the stage without another word. The students clapped slowly, stunned and confused by the man who was leaving the room. The teacher’s were equally as confused. The way he ended his speech didn’t feel definitive enough for them to even be sure that he was done. The teacher who had stood up earlier shook off the Genjutsu that he had been placed under. He would later tell his peers that the way the speech ended was different from what he remembered, but wouldn’t be able to recall the exact words.

                        First Class: Genjutsu
                        ▱▰▱ Lasting HypnosisThe user's genjutsu prowess has achieved a heightened level of potency and lingers for longer. The primary sense of any genjutsu that was released using Kai lingers for [1] additional post. This residual effect is minor because the manipulation of the target with the technique has ended. For example, a complete darkness sight genjutsu that was dispelled may leave the lingering feeling that the world is still a bit darker than it is in reality. If a genjutsu used a mental status effect then it will linger for [1] post longer at one level below what it was before at a minimum of level one. Originally level one mental status effects are too weak to linger. The base duration of your genjutsu are increased by [1] post at E-C, [2] at B-A, and [3] at S and above. Instance genjutsu are not affected by an increase of duration but instead cannot be dispelled by kai and only by pain. Genjutsu upkeep lessens by [5] Chakra per body rank and non-Instant are applied with overwhelming up to S Rank, requiring lingering genjutsu to use [1.5x] the resource to Kai.}
                        Second Class: Genjutsu
                        ▱▰▱ Master of DeceptionWith genjutsu, realism and the sensory ability of the target factor heavily into the ability of the victim to realize they are in a genjutsu. The illusionist chooses [1] Sense of Specialization that will render a genjutsu cost [1] rank less if the casted genjutsu's primary sense is their specialization. Genjutsu that use the illusionist's Sense of Specialization as the primary sense become resistant to the sensory powers of sages and non-Infinite Perception discipline scholars. This resistance means that the genjutsu will go unnoticed from these abilities. Since the illusionist has become so adept in their Sense of Specialization they may always weave it into genjutsu as an Additional Sense unless it would bring the illusion's sensory control above the [5] limit. The illusionist may also always select any Additional Sense that is not their Sense of Specialization to add to a genjutsu as long as it does not exceed the cap of [5] manipulated senses.

                        Sense of Specialization: Sight

                        ▱▰▱ Cross Class or Specialization:Genjutsu Specialist: If this class is taken as the first and second class, then you may take two disciplines from this class and are considered a Specialist. Additionally, those who are a specialist can choose one category of genjutsu to follow as a path. You can follow the path of the illusionist (illusory focus), enchanter/enchantress (enchantment focus), trickster (instance focus), or conjurer (chain focus). Selecting a Path grants [3] additional custom slots and [1] keystone for techniques of that category. Genjutsu that are cast by those of this specialization are more efficient as according to the user's body rank, all Genjutsu are [10] Chakra cheaper to perform with the user's specialized Focus are further reduced by another [5] Chakra per body rank. No cost can be lower than a minimum of [5] Chakra. Once every other post all three of the genjutsu specialist's actions in a post can be used for genjutsu.

He places a large amount of importance on mastering his own body. His personal belief being that having complete control over ones own body is the closest that Shinobi will ever come to Godliness. When it comes to interpersonal affairs, Kojino can be humble, but it is mostly due to an inability to appreciate his own skills that don’t involve physical effort; however, he is overconfident in his ability to perform physical tasks, making him seem arrogant, even in the face of defeat. Any failures are taken as a learning opportunity, therefore he can never truly lose. Koji has a tendency to be flirtatious, but has absolutely zero idea how to be truly romantic.

                        Biography: Kojino is an Arashigakure shinobi born and raised. His mother and father were both devoutly religious, but supported the shinobi lifestyle due to the inherent and deep ties between religion and the world they live in. As such, Koji was brought up being taught the ways of Zelelism, but being pushed by his parents to join the Shinobi forces. He attended the academy, but shortly after graduating he was granted permission to go on a pilgrimage, as it was a requirement of being a follower of Zelel. The main RP story and Kojino's participation will be taking place after his return from his pilgrimage, while any events that happened during his absence (which spanned multiple years) will be placed in an MIT for the sake of continuity and explaining many of the things that happened during the pilgrimage.

As a versatile discipline, a Master of None also receives +1 to any stat for every other body rank starting at body rank C. {C,A,S+}

                        ▱▰▱ Jack: Infinite PerceptionYour specialty is more in sensory than in sealing or summoning. You are able to discover things such as demon chakra, or the type of technique that is about to be active (Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, etc.), even specifics such as Bloodline type and rank from any active sensory technique. This discipline allows the user to be able to sense their enemy’s ninjutsu attacks and their composition, which grants a -2 rank reduction to dodging with the dodge mechanic X-ranked skill so long as it was used within the range of the user’s sensory abilities. You can release yourself from genjutsu at one rank lower in kai chakra release but with no benefit in pain release. In addition, the user's sensory abilities are extended fifty feet per rank of the technique. As a master tracker, you can advance in the ninja hunter and special ops careers for half as many Oinin Butai and ANBU missions completed. Upon reaching Initiate in Oinin Butai, you gain the Eagle Eye perk innately so you can choose one other Oinin perk as well. When you use a sensory technique with jamming you can double the jamming effect, this ability applies to one technique per three posts.
                        ▱▰▱ Cross Class or Specialization:Jack – Jack: Master of none, the jack does, however, have an edge over the mundane that most would not. The jack gains an additional Non-Bloodline Trait at character creation as opposed to just one, allowing a Jack Spec to hold Two, the same Non-Bloodline trait cannot be taken more than once. In addition, the user gains 50 chakra at D, B , and S ranks while gaining 50 stamina at C, A, and S+ Ranks. User may also select an alternate discipline from most other classes besides Jack (Tamer, Bloodline and Puppeteer are excluded from selection of a discipline). As a Jack Spec, you also have an 8 stat cap instead of the normal 6.

The woman aspires to own a restaurant someday to share her delicious food with everyone, and believes firmly that this is the key to maintaining a strong body and mind.                         Biography: Lady Yoko has been alive for a long, long time, and has many stories to tell about the "good old days". Not much is known of her past, or where she came from, but she often explains to people that she was born and raised by a group of nomadic monks. How she ended up in Arashigakure, is quite the tale, but she decided to work alongside the Shinobi with intentions of testing whether she's "still got it".

                        ▱▰▱ Battlefield PresenceThe user's powerful presence on the battlefield strikes terror into their foes. Opponents are able to sense the user's terrifying fighting spirit five feet from the user per body rank of the user through chakra sense. Those within range can have this radiating fearful aura become the trigger for genjutsu, allowing genjutsu to be cast by acknowledging the user. In addition, should an opponent be targeted by a melee technique that is greater in rank than the target's body rank that target has tier two paralysis applied to their legs, requiring it to be broken by Kai equal to the user's body rank, costing the target no action for that specific instance of kai.
                        Second Class: Taijutsu
                        ▱▰▱ BrawlerYour taijutsu is just one side of your skill, as you are also versed in utilizing ninjutsu as well. Your Speed and Agility are enhanced by [+1] and you gain an additional [4] ninjutsu slots per rank. Once every other post all three of your actions in a post can be used for offensive taijutsu. Additionally, the user gains a keystone technique and two additional custom slots for taijutsu.

                        ▱▰▱ Respect Your Elders | In this day and age where young ninja are taking the fast track and shortcuts to higher rankings and status, Lady Yoko is here to remind them that she doesn't give a damn about that when it comes to treating those older than you with respect. The rank differences from the Battlefield Presence discipline are instead replaced with the difference between her strength stat and the opponent's endurance stat.
                        ▱▰▱ Self-Sustaining System | Junsei are able to use self-iryojutsu for their third activation every three turns. Iryojutsu used on the self is treated as two applications for removing status. Additionally, every three posts, one tier of any one status may be removed through the natural cleansing that Junsei bodies go through.

When receiving this implant, Junsei may learn it completely with no limits on what PAs they take from it (like Dual Ancestry) but they may not take any other implants unless given through a bijuu.                         Combat Outfit: For all other situations outside of what is listed above, Gotetsu dresses in high-quality suits. The full dress, equipped with vest, tie, and jacket as well. There are various pockets, both hidden and fully visible, on this suit that he uses to carry various ninja tools such as kunai, shuriken, wire spools, and so on.


                        ▰ SOCIAL AND PERSONALITY

                        Nindo: "The reality is that you can be whoever or whatever you want, so long as your resolve is strong enough to accept the consequences."
                        Personality: Gotetsu Ryugasai has a bit of a complicated personality. He maintains a controlled composure, an attempt to prove to himself that he’s better than his mind, but also as a show of what he would call dignity. Beneath his exterior, He’s passionate, kind hearted, and a deeply loving person. He forms attachments extremely quickly, and the loss of those attachments is heartbreaking for him. He has big emotions, and those same emotions come with their own metaphorical cliff. Gotetsu’s mind floats somewhere at the bottom of that cliff. He suffers from major depression, coupled with a generalized anxiety disorder, and he’s generally a complex mess of mixed emotions. His depression manifests itself on a spectrum, but when in the midst of an episode, he becomes extremely irritable. To the point that small triggers call forth a deep well of rage within him. Regardless of if he’s suffering a depressive episode or not, he will do everything in his power to hide it. If you peek beyond his stoic mask, you’ll see his warm emotions, but it’s extremely rare that he will allow someone to see the darkness beneath that.
                        The one saving grace is that he has at least a semblance of control over his own mind. Strangely enough, despite his hesitation to do so, he can “turn it off,” meaning that he can stop himself from feeling any emotion at all.

                        On a more mental level, and less emotional, Gotetsu’s mind operates with a dominantly logical hierarchy, using facts and understood concepts to navigate the world around him; however, he prefers being creative, often letting his thoughts paint vivid pictures of impossible worlds and images when in the mood to daydream. His moral compass is primarily grey. Good and evil, chaos and order, yin and yang; he doesn’t believe in one without the other, nor does he believe that you can solely fall on one side of the spectrum. As such, he may be loyal to his village and his companions, but business is business, and he will do whatever he must to ensure that everything operates as smoothly as possible. He’ll lie on his own, but isn’t opposed to cheating or stealing either if he is given the order. Regardless of the loyalty he feels for his nation, business is just business, and he will sacrifice any number of pieces of himself to make sure that business is good.

                        Gotetsu prefers the quiet, finding constant strings of noise to be draining, as his focus will shift with each sound, and can easily fall victim to sensory overload due to the shifting stimuli. He struggles with real communication, as if the words he needs to say disappear from his vocabulary, and instead will fall defiantly and selectively mute if he doesn’t like the conversation being had. His depression and anxiety take their own respective tolls on the functionality of his brain, and result in slightly impaired short-term memory retainment and a few complexes that he’s developed over the years.

                        Although his past might paint a different story, Gotetsu Ryugasai does not enjoy violent confrontation any longer. He has matured since his youth, and now finds physical altercation to be a barbaric way to handle disputes. He prefers diplomacy and discussion be used to reach a mutual agreement. However, if the Tanikage were to give the order, Gotetsu is willing to put aside his personal feelings in order to enact her command.

                        Biography:
                        ”Once upon a time,” a calm voice began, echoing through the room from somewhere behind the crowd of young academy students. The energy that the boys and girls were buzzing with moments before died down. Eyes and ears perked up to locate the man who would be their guest speaker today. Still hidden away, he continued. ”This sort of event would not have been necessary. I guess times really have changed.” A figure slowly entered the room. Dignified in posture, clad in a luxury suit-tie-ensemble. Smokey eyes glanced left and right as he walked, taking quick scans of the faces to judge the general interest of the group. The bottoms of his derby shoes hit the floor in a way that almost commanded respect, echoing his footfalls throughout the auditorium. In front of the rows of students was a makeshift stage. A chair and stool rested upon it, a wordless invitation for the guest to make himself comfortable. At the very least, the stool was meant to serve as a table to hold the glass of water and ashtray that had also been provided. The man turned the foldable chair around before sitting, crossing his arms in front of his chest and resting them on the back.

                        His face was carefully neutral, not belying any indication of his emotions. He rested there for a moment before sitting up straight, pulling a pack of cigarettes and a lighter from the inside breast pocket of his jacket. A sprig of flame and a long drag, exhaling a thin cloud of smoke. Finally, with the buildup of anticipation being almost too great to sustain further, he spoke. ”My name is Gotetsu Ryugasai. I’ve been asked to speak with you all as a way of… Invigorating your spirits, lighting that fire in your bellies that all of the greatest shinobi in history had at your age. Let me be clear,” he paused to take in another drag of tobacco. ”I have no intention of doing that.” The students gasped and whispered among themselves. The teachers in charge glared in Gotetsu’s direction, obviously displeased with his speech so far. Their anger and confusion was quickly replaced with curiosity as the speaker continued. ”I’m simply here to tell you a story.”

                        “I did not grow up here. In fact, I was born and raised in a different country altogether. One ruled by the lawless, where the only thing you could do was survive. By whatever means necessary.”
                        The children’s whispers died away, a hush falling over the crowd. At this point, some of them had leaned forward in their seats, eager to hear more. To them it might have sounded like the beginnings of a fairy tale. Another drag, knocking the ashes into the tray beside him. ”My father was a man who was quick to anger, and my mother turned a blind eye to his cruelty. It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that I left home rather young. After all, that wasn’t much of a home to begin with. I started running the occasional errand for some of the people in my village to earn wages to eat with, but I was far too eager for more, and started keeping some rather sour company. A band of thieves, that’s what you would have called us. Back then, though, we were just like everyone else.” The darker tone of the story began to settle in the childrens’ minds. Teachers were growing restless. Perhaps it wasn’t the best idea to have this particular guest at the academy. Nonetheless, Gotetsu’s expression was unwavering.

                        ”Over time, we began to take bits of control away from various semi-militant groups that patrolled our fair village. We would rob them of their supplies, strike when they were at their weakest, and force them into submission one by one. By the time I was a little older than you lot, we had become the only form of government that my home had ever known, even if it was mostly tyrannical. We took what we wanted, dealt punishments on a whim, we even burned a few properties just to send a message.” At this point, one of the teachers stood up quickly and took a step, preparing to forcefully remove Gotetsu from the stage. The teacher’s eyes met the grey pools of Mr. Ryugasai, and he returned to his seat. Slowly, as if in a trance. Another teacher moved to check on his friend while Gotetsu pressed on with his tale. ”We maintained power for around a year before the greed for more power set in, and we looked towards conquering more land. We were able to collect a bit more territory, but in doing so, our little paradise was noticed by other villages. The fury that rained on our land,” a slight chuckle finally broke his stoic expression. He paused here to take a few more hits from his lit cigarette. ”It was glorious.”

                        “Our little group broke apart, some of us fled while the village was destroyed, others stayed to fight the good fight. Turns out, the United Villages had known of our position of power for quite a while before they stepped in. They didn’t want to take us out without a good reason, avoiding potential war and whatnot. I later learned that they had been referring to us as the ‘Black Flag Group’ after we had taken control. I was one of the ones who had fled, and I was hunted down and captured. They threw me in prison for a few years. I never really cared what the charges were for. Eventually, after Tanigakure was founded, I was given a choice. I could rot in that cell, or I could turn things around. A new leaf, if you will. Contribute something good to the world. That’s how they put it, at least.”
                        Gotetsu extinguished his cigarette and stood, walking around the chair to stand at the edge of the stage. He stuffed his hands into his pockets and allowed the students a good long look at the man before them, at the appearance of discipline and dignity that he personified. A few minutes passed like this, not a word was said until Gotetsu cleared his throat.

                        ”I have no interest in trying to convince you to keep working hard. If you truly want to be shinobi, hard work is a given. Training every day to hone your skills to exemplary degrees. The world you will be joining soon is going to challenge you every step of the way, especially now. I told you my story as a way to show you that there is room for growth. I never would have pictured myself standing here, giving you this speech if I did not allow myself to grow as a person. I would have never become a shinobi myself, if I did not allow myself to become better. You will be forced to make some difficult decisions in your future, but do not let those choices dictate the rest of your life. Always give yourself the opportunity to become better. The future of this great nation is in your hands, you need to be ready.” Gotetsu left the stage without another word. The students clapped slowly, stunned and confused by the man who was leaving the room. The teacher’s were equally as confused. The way he ended his speech didn’t feel definitive enough for them to even be sure that he was done. The teacher who had stood up earlier shook off the Genjutsu that he had been placed under. He would later tell his peers that the way the speech ended was different from what he remembered, but wouldn’t be able to recall the exact words.


                        ▰ CLASSES AND STATS

                        First Class: Genjutsu
                        ▱▰▱ Lasting HypnosisThe user's genjutsu prowess has achieved a heightened level of potency and lingers for longer. The primary sense of any genjutsu that was released using Kai lingers for [1] additional post. This residual effect is minor because the manipulation of the target with the technique has ended. For example, a complete darkness sight genjutsu that was dispelled may leave the lingering feeling that the world is still a bit darker than it is in reality. If a genjutsu used a mental status effect then it will linger for [1] post longer at one level below what it was before at a minimum of level one. Originally level one mental status effects are too weak to linger. The base duration of your genjutsu are increased by [1] post at E-C, [2] at B-A, and [3] at S and above. Instance genjutsu are not affected by an increase of duration but instead cannot be dispelled by kai and only by pain. Genjutsu upkeep lessens by [5] Chakra per body rank and non-Instant are applied with overwhelming up to S Rank, requiring lingering genjutsu to use [1.5x] the resource to Kai.}
                        Second Class: Genjutsu
                        ▱▰▱ Master of DeceptionWith genjutsu, realism and the sensory ability of the target factor heavily into the ability of the victim to realize they are in a genjutsu. The illusionist chooses [1] Sense of Specialization that will render a genjutsu cost [1] rank less if the casted genjutsu's primary sense is their specialization. Genjutsu that use the illusionist's Sense of Specialization as the primary sense become resistant to the sensory powers of sages and non-Infinite Perception discipline scholars. This resistance means that the genjutsu will go unnoticed from these abilities. Since the illusionist has become so adept in their Sense of Specialization they may always weave it into genjutsu as an Additional Sense unless it would bring the illusion's sensory control above the [5] limit. The illusionist may also always select any Additional Sense that is not their Sense of Specialization to add to a genjutsu as long as it does not exceed the cap of [5] manipulated senses.

Additionally, those who are a specialist can choose one category of genjutsu to follow as a path. You can follow the path of the illusionist (illusory focus), enchanter/enchantress (enchantment focus), trickster (instance focus), or conjurer (chain focus). Selecting a Path grants [3] additional custom slots and [1] keystone for techniques of that category. Genjutsu that are cast by those of this specialization are more efficient as according to the user's body rank, all Genjutsu are [10] Chakra cheaper to perform with the user's specialized Focus are further reduced by another [5] Chakra per body rank. No cost can be lower than a minimum of [5] Chakra. Once every other post all three of the genjutsu specialist's actions in a post can be used for genjutsu.

                        Biography: An escapee from a laboratory located in the Sky Sector, Tetsu hid within the sewer canals of the Cistern Sector to avoid capture. Accompanied by two other 'testing subjects', the trio had to learn quickly how to fend for themselves in order to survive. This task was only made difficult due to the fact that they were actively being pursued, by the only marker that could reveal their former identities: the unfinished rune on their chests. The once scared and lost individuals would soon toughen up due to their circumstances, and encountering one of the gangs that 'ran' the Cistern Sector. They were initiated in, and immediately involved in illegal acts ranging from robbery, pit fighting, and small resistances against authority.

                        Years passed by, Tetsu and the two individuals he escaped with - known as Naomi and Hiro - had grown fairly close as friends while establishing themselves in the steadily growing gang. Tetsu and Hiro were acknowledged for their fighting skill and shot calling, and Naomi had the most nimble hands of the group. Their raise in fame among the group threatened the current leader of the gang, who decided to disban Hiro (the largest and presumably the most threatening of the the three) as a result. Tetsu's objection was met with violence, so he reacted accordingly, settling the dispute with a brawl. His victory ensured that Hiro would be able to stay, and he took the title of gang leader, but not without resistance from the former who had lost. Tetsu, Naomi, Hiro, and those who sided with them disbanded as a group in response.

                        Having re-established themselves within the short period of time after, they were still barely surviving just as they were before. The Academy was becoming a possible option with each passing day, of which he heard whispers about throughout the cistern. Unbeknownst to any of them, after so many years dwelling in the sewers, the Illusion Grid had taken a hold of them - Tetsu, more so than the others. After discussing with Hiro and Naomi about possibly changing their lives for the better by taking a chance in the Academy, the majority vote sided against it. Naomi and Hiro were too concerned about their identities being revealed as this would put them in arm's reach of literally anyone that was affiliated with the Sky Sector. Tetsu decided to go regardless, with the intentions of returning when he graduated. This life was not enough for him; he sure didn't want this for his friends and fellow members either. He was unsure if it was curiosity, stubbornness or some twist of fate which compelled him to do this.

                        First Class: Bloodline
                        ▱▰▱ Heritage KeystoneYou receive an additional 5 custom technique slots to be used only on bloodline and bloodline-related techniques. Additionally, you may create a "keystone" technique; this technique is essentially a Bloodline ninja's signature move, with power and versatility similar to a technique such as Kamui. In addition, you are able to use your third action for any Bloodline Jutsu, whether it is offensive or defensive, once every two turns. This discipline may not be taken in conjunction with another Keystone Discipline.

                        ▱▰▱ Dual AncestryDual Ancestry allows you to have full access to two bloodlines upon creation including all techniques, abilities, and personal attributes associated with them. For biographical purposes, your secondary bloodline may be genetic or implanted at your discretion. This discipline gives you [4] bloodline PAs to be used only for the bloodline attributes of your dual bloodlines on top of the [2] personal attributes you receive at base for a total of [6]. If two elemental bloodlines are chosen then the primary bloodline's elemental affinities become your base elements and you gain full access to those elements while your secondary bloodline gives you locked elemental affinities that you cannot learn ninjutsu techniques from but you gain full access to the secondary bloodline. Locked elemental affinities can be unlocked through methods such as ninjutsu class or personal attributes. Elemental affinity personal attributes are automatically allotted to locked affinities. Jiongu users do not have access to Dual Ancestry nor can they be chosen as a secondary bloodline.                         Nindo: Free Will is an Illusion.
                        Personality: Naoto is a hyper intelligent member of a family that lives in the Sky sector of Amegakure. As such, he was quickly introduced to and accepted the idea that status is power, and power is an essential part of life. He views himself as an "elevated being," believing that those of lesser class than him are insects and playthings. He's a depraved youth, with a sadistic streak, to the point where torturing weaker individuals is a common way for him to pass the time. The only deviations in this belief system is that joining the Shinobi forces in Amegakure, and serving under Satoshi makes you even better than those in the Sky sector, and that anyone who actively practices the religion of Yatagarasu, no matter their status, is untouchable. As such, he tends to be nicer to religious folks, and shows high respect for any Shinobi ranked above him. Anyone else, however, is free game for him to manipulate and toy with as he so chooses. Because of his early indoctrination into the Amegakure way of life, Naoto sees everything as being decided by class. Free will is an illusion, with everything in life being laid out from birth without Divine intervention.

The mechanisms can be approved and used for other puppets but would otherwise not count toward the Puppeteer’s mechanism limit.                         ▱▰▱ Forge Master | At creation, the user may choose Armor Smithing or Weapon Smithing. The character begins at Apprentice Status in that chosen crafting profession. The user is able to use their Steel Release's metals to forge all weapons and armor they create with durability that matches their body rank. In addition, each weapon or armor crafted this way gains an additional ability unique to that weapon that must utilize the clan's abilities in some way. Finally, items created this way can be freely absorbed into the body and expelled by paying an E Rank amount of chakra with no activation for each item removed during combat in this method.
                        ▱▰▱ Deconstructed Essence | When custom metal armors, weapons, and items are successfully reduced to iron sand by the deconstruction ability, the jiton user is able to retain [1] of the custom abilities of the original item in their iron sand for the duration of the battle. Up to [3] custom abilities from [3] separate weapons can be obtained in a single battle. Additionally, you receive 200 extra chakra to your pool, which is useful for deconstruction.
                        ▱▰▱ Electromagnetism | For an additional 10 chakra, all Raiton techniques can magnetize the target individual(s) or object(s) on direct contact and apply T1 burns from E-B Rank and T2 burns from A-S+ Rank. Using this method also allows Raiton techniques to turn the magnetic field created by the Magnetic Manipulation technique into an electromagnetic (EM) field. The result of this is that the Raiton technique can instantly travel over the area of the EM field while being manipulated by the user around allies. Doing this does not consume a combat action. Finally, you are granted [10] ninjutsu slots exclusively for Raiton techniques.

                        ▰ SOCIAL AND PERSONALITY

                        Nindo: "Even if my life is ultimately meaningless, I'm selfish enough to not just roll over and die."
                        Personality: Hitoshi isn't exactly used to anyone wanting to talk to him, so he tends to remain quiet when given the option. Despite that, he actually doesn't like to be alone, so he usually ends up just kind of... standing there. Existing. When he does eventually choose to speak though, it tends to be about something depressingly nihilistic such as the futility of life and how no person is as good as they at first appear. He isn't aware of this fact but such words tend to not match up with his actions in any capacity. Or at least, he isn't quite as nihilistic as he tries to portray himself. After all, he is the kind of person who will wax on about how evil and self-interested humanity is as a whole, including himself, and yet in the next moment, he will act counter to his denial of meaning in life to nurse a sick or wounded animal back to health just because he suddenly decided he likes cats. Despite what one may assume upon seeing such a seemingly selfless act, that couldn't be further from the truth.

                        In truth, it is actually quite the opposite.

                        Having not known much happiness growing up, Hitoshi will selfishly do all that he can to protect the small amount he's managed to obtain for himself, even going so far as to put his life on the line not to lose it. This exposes his claims to Nihilism for what it really is; a mask that he isn't even aware that he is wearing in order to protect himself from becoming too invested in others, just to avoid being hurt by them.

                        Ironically, this abrasive mask tends to only serve to push normal people away. To those he isn't close to, he is a quiet man whose head appears stuck in the clouds as if his mind is somewhere far away, not experiencing the present moment. In reality, he is always paying attention. He just doesn't want to speak or be spoken to. Once Hitoshi does become close to someone though, it suddenly becomes much harder to consistently wear such a mask of indifference, revealing that he is, in fact, a more optimistic, cheerful person than he lets on, surprisingly keen on enjoying a bit of friendly banter with those he would call friend. Such friendship and loyalty is hard-won though, and he often wonders if those who are willing to put up with his initial personality are okay in the head themselves.

                        Harder still than making friends would be convincing Hitoshi that there is any positive trait to his character. Being convinced that all people are purely self-interested, he presents himself as a prime example. Without fail, he always managed to rationalize a selfless act of kindness to somehow be to his benefit, only serving to reinforce his worldview.

                        Hitoshi's negative opinion of himself certainly isn't helped by the negative view he has on his more... unique traits. After experiencing the fear and derision of others because of the seemingly alien nature of his tentacles for so long, he finds it difficult to look at them with anything short of disgust, an irrational hatred directed towards them for the role they played for his lot in life. He will still use them, but he currently doesn't have the mentality to bring out his full potential when it comes to the extra limbs. Thankfully, there is no such mental block when it comes to the use of his ink, something he rationalizes by observing that the Ukyo clan uses ink in their jutsu and don't seem to be forced to deal with any negative consequences because of it.

                        Biography: The major shinobi villages don't tend to pay much attention to what happens outside of their walls. It's hard for them to, what with constantly being wrapped up in their own huge conflicts, and for the smaller villages that can't afford to request their aid... well, sometimes those villages just don't last. Hitoshi often wonders if it's evil for him to be secretly pleased with the fate of the place he once called "home".

                        Born of Hojo blood into a village full of superstitious individuals who feared those like him with Bloodlines that changed their bodies in ways others would call inhuman, it didn't take long for Hitoshi to internalize such disgust for his own body. Others might have rebelled against such unfair discrimination, but after watching a young member of the Kemono Shinzō clan get beaten half to death after accidentally taking on his animal form he quickly learned that it would be safer for both himself and his mother if he just fell in line. After all, they were pretty fortunate. His mom was always careful to never use the tentacles that being part squid gave her, and he hadn't even manifested his own yet. So long as they both kept their heads down, it seemed as though they would be able to live peacefully.

                        Of course, that didn't happen. Children would still be children after all. Certain types didn't need an excuse like hating bloodlines to be a bully. Hitoshi was unfortunately ganged up on, and out of desperation to defend himself, a single tentacle manifested to strangle the self-proclaimed leader of the group, thankfully leaving him alive. The townspeople didn't care, only calling him a monster. Their anger didn't last very long though.

                        Hitoshi doesn't know anything about the group responsible for it, or why they'd chosen that particular day to revolt. What he does remember is great clouds of insects, gallons of blood somehow being thrown about as projectile weapons, elemental ninjutsu being thrown left and right, and dozens of... intoxicated people? Oh, and corpses. There were so, so many corpses. Eventually, he did find his way back home where he knew his mother would be, only to fall to his knees and cry out in agony at the sight of the house that had been reduced to a smoking pile of rubble. He never was able to find his mom's body, or even figure out which side of the battle to blame. Even if he could, he knew that there was nothing he could do about it. The city was basically reduced to ash at that point, himself the sole "lucky" survivor for being too weak to be noticed. He ended up hiding in the ruins of a nearby house that had managed to stay standing for several days, the boy too scared of what would happen to himself if he was spotted by either side.

                        Eventually, he was of course found. By a Chunin of Konohagakure passing through, no less. Hitoshi, lost and with nowhere to go, asked the woman who called herself Yukiko to take him with her. When she asked him if he wanted to be strong, the only answer he could come up with is he doesn't know what he wants. He was supposed to live a boring civilian life with his mom and, in the future, start a family of his own. Being strong sounded appealing though. He didn't ever want to go through feeling that powerless again, so he said yes. The following months were hell for him, for even at the age of fifteen he wasn't anywhere near the level of even an average academy student due to his complete lack of training, but the results soon showed in how he was quickly able to grasp the concept of Genjutsu. To his dismay, the one other thing he showed great talent in was his Bloodline abilities. He resigned himself to the fact that he would most likely have to use it, even if he really didn't want to.

                        The Chunin could only teach Hitoshi so much without it affecting her personal life. She'd grown fond of him however, so upon arriving back to Konoha she allowed him to live with, becoming his legal guardian. From there he was enrolled into the academy, where he could complete his training and hopefully in that time figure out what he'd do after.


                        ▰ CLASSES AND STATS

                        First Class: Bloodline
                        ▱▰▱ Heritage KeystoneYou receive an additional 5 custom technique slots to be used only on bloodline and bloodline-related techniques. Additionally, you may create a "keystone" technique; this technique is essentially a Bloodline ninja's signature move, with power and versatility similar to a technique such as Kamui. This technique must be submitted as a custom jutsu and approved. It also does not take a custom jutsu slot. In addition, you are able to use your third action for any Bloodline Jutsu, whether it is offensive or defensive, once every two turns. This discipline may not be taken in conjunction with another Keystone Discipline. Refer to the Keystone Guideline for more information.

                        Second Class: Genjutsu
                        ▱▰▱ Master of DeceptionWith genjutsu, realism and the sensory ability of the target factor heavily into the ability of the victim to realize they are in a genjutsu. The illusionist chooses [1] Sense of Specialization that will render a genjutsu cost [1] rank less if the casted genjutsu's primary sense is their specialization. Genjutsu that use the illusionist's Sense of Specialization as the primary sense become resistant to the sensory powers of sages and non-Infinite Perception discipline scholars. This resistance means that the genjutsu will go unnoticed from these abilities. Since the illusionist has become so adept in their Sense of Specialization they may always weave it into genjutsu as an Additional Sense unless it would bring the illusion's sensory control above the [5] limit. The illusionist may also always select any Additional Sense that is not their Sense of Specialization to add to a genjutsu as long as it does not exceed the cap of [5] manipulated senses.

                        ▱▰▱ Cross Class:Bloodline – Genjutsu: The user is able to combine their bloodline techniques and genjutsu together for one action by using the bloodline technique as a trigger by effecting the target's senses.                         Strengths:
                        • Versatile And Unpredictable: Hitoshi is utilitarian in that he is willing and able to use everything available to him to come out on top. He seems to have an answer for any kind of fighter he comes across, with only a few exceptions. His various ink blends are able to weaken his enemies while strengthening himself at the same time, almost allowing him to fight on equal footing with those more physically gifted than he. The extra limbs his biology grants him paired with his talent in Genjutsu makes it possible to even overtake them, though getting him to use his biological advantage is another matter entirely.
                        • The Will to Endure: He may not be as gifted at Taijutsu as those who dedicate themselves more fully to it, but Hitoshi still has a strong body capable of taking more of a punishment than most illusionists can claim. He takes advantage of this fact by not shying away from taking risks in battle others wouldn't dare.
                        Weaknesses:
                        • It's a Battle of Endurance: Currently Hitoshi lacks the means to put a swift end to a battle, especially if it's against Taijutsu specialists. His ink blends are highly irritating and can make taking out his opponent through other means a bit or a lot easier, but there isn't a single one that will bring him to victory just by itself and if they don't his the opponent then they're basically useless. This means that even if he can fight on equal footing against such fighters, odds are he won't be defeating them with Taijutsu. These kinds of fights rely on him having to use his resources carefully to wear down his opponents.
                        • Self Hatred: Hopefully this particular weakness will only be temporary eh? Unfortunately, it is the truth for now that Hitoshi hates the very thing that could give him an advantage, his tentacles. While he will use them if pushed, there will be times he could have used them that he just won't for as long as he believes that others find them disgusting.
                        • Bladed Weapons Are Scary: Even when he uses his tentacles, Hitoshi must be vigilant. Since they can stretch so far away from his body, it's easy to overextend and that's dangerous to do against someone who uses bladed weapons.
                        • Hot Stuff: Boiling water makes his ink blends useless, making certain bloodlines particularly annoying to fight against.
                        • Dojutsu, Sensors, And Other Bloodlines With a Genjutsu Bonus: This is probably his biggest weakness. Hitoshi's entire fighting style revolves around using illusions and subterfuge to debuff his opponents using his ink and various poisons, either forcing them to waste more of their chakra/stamina resources or end the fight himself before the effects can wear off. If he isn't able to do this because an Uchiha saw through his genjutsu with his Sharingan or a Hyuuga saw him coming from a mile away, then that makes winning much more difficult.
                        Fears:
                        • Being seen as inhuman, or a monster.
                        • That any happiness he finds through the bonds he forms with others is only temporary, due to his low opinion of himself.

                        • All Hojo treat any technique with or involving [Tentacles] as a bloodline technique.

                        • The Hojo are not affected by the adhesive of their own inks and cannot suffer the [Ink-Stained] status from their own Ink Blends
                        • The Hojo can dismiss the [Tier] effects of their inks with a single hand sign but the colored stains remain.
                        • Hojo ink is treated as [Suiton] for determining rank superiority and disadvantage unless otherwise stated.
                        • Using the Hojo's tentacles with Taijutsu that grapple confers a [+1 Rank Bonus] to the grapple and sustaining the grapple.

Opponents are able to sense the user's terrifying fighting spirit five feet from the user per body rank of the user through chakra sense. Those within range can have this radiating fearful aura become the trigger for genjutsu, allowing genjutsu to be cast by acknowledging the user. In addition, should an opponent be targeted by a melee technique that is greater in rank than the target's body rank that target has tier two paralysis applied to their legs, requiring it to be broken by Kai equal to the user's body rank, costing the target no action for that specific instance of kai.
                        ▱▰▱ Cross Class:If this class is taken as the first and second class, then the user takes 2 disciplines from this class and an additional taijutsu style. This ability costs no chakra or action and allows the mirror to act as a visual trigger. Genjutsu cast in this way are acutely bewitching and have their mental stress and insanity effects extended after the genjutsu ends by [2] posts for no cost or action. Finally, due to their prowess in enchanting mirrors, the Hari can learn an additional 10 enchanting genjutsu at D-Rank, B-Rank, and S-Rank body.
                        Grand Reflections | The Hari's mirrors can appear to be of finer craftsmanship with ornate frames if desired. As a result, the Hari doubles the number of posts their mirrors stay active and doubles their range of control. Additionally, thrice per battle, the Hari can use the Reflect technique without paying its cost. Finally, while the mirrors are active at E-C rank body your agility stat increases by [1] and by [2] at B-S+ rank body.
                        Through the Looking Glass | Ninjutsu fired through the two-way mirrors augmented by the Magnify technique can be increased by [2] ranks thrice per battle. Also, the Hari can double a technique with the Refract technique without the rank drop and shattering of the mirror once per battle. Finally, the Hari receives 200 extra chakra to their pool.
