[TD: 5/18/18] Rob Van Dam vs Chris Jericho (Non-Title Match)

The arena would light up in flashy colors after a huge spark of pyro filled up the stage. That man was none other than Y2J, Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho stood there for a couple of seconds, feeling the energy of his entrance, as pyro would begin to go off, officially turning on the arena lights back to its correct and proper lighting. Chris Jericho would turn his body around, and have a serious look on his face, signifying that tonight like any other night was no laughing matter. He began to walk down the ramp, making his way to ring ignoring the hands of the fans that requested high fives from him. Jericho thought they were disgusting, and they were obviously hypocrites. One minute they cheer you, and one minute they boo you. Jericho was tired of that. For those who do hate him, would only prove a point, and for those who loved him, only showed just who his real fans were. From Camera view, via Television screen, a nameplate would come up, as his name "Chris Jericho" would be there as well as underneath it being his twitter handle, @IAmJericho. The announcer would begin to talk on the mic letting the fans know that Chris Jericho hailed from Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, followed by his billed weight for tonight's match. Chris Jericho would approach the ring, and make a left turn toward the steel steps, as he would walk up the steps one foot at a time. Once he got up on the apron, he looked back at the crowd with a straight face, shortly putting his mind back on the task at hand, coming into the ring through the second rope. Once Jericho entered the ring, he would walk forward to the middle of the ring and look around at the crowd. What he would see was ridiculous fan signs and people thumbing him down, as if Jericho even cared what these lazy snobs thought of him. Jericho's theme would die down becoming nothing but silence. Once Jericho's theme was finished from play and was stopped from the production truck, Chris Jericho would take off his light up jacket, and hand it to the time keeper that was outside the ring. Chris Jericho would then lean up against the turnbuckle and crack his neck from side to side with a small smirk on his face. He would then revert back to his straight mug, as he got ready to participate in this match.

CWF WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION



Rob Van Dam was backstage, preparing for his upcoming match by performing various leg exercises, warming himself up so he wouldn't be rusty when he got in the ring, and when he was told it was time to go, he begins walking towards the ring, through hallways and other backstage areas, stretching his arms while on his way. He smiles at people he was passing by, before eventually making it to the curtains. When he was given the signal, and when his theme started, RVD began to head to the arena.

ROB VAN DAM!!!...... THE WHOLE EFFIN' SHOW!!!



As the beginning of RVD'S theme song he used in TNA would play in the arena, the audience cheers for their World Heavyweight Champion, as Rob Van Dam walks out from backstage with the World title over his shoulder. He stops at the top of the ramp and raises both arms quickly and a pyro goes off. RVD walks down the ramp smiling at the audience and shakes a few of their hands, making their day. As he was making his way down the ramp, the announcer introduces him.

"Introducing at this time from Battle Creek Michigan, weighing 235 pounds, he is the CWF World Heavyweight Champion..... ROB VAAAAAAN DAAAAAAMM!!!"



Rob would make his way to the ring and leaps onto the apron and gets in the ring, walking to a corner and raises his arms, and then raises the World title proudly. He gets down, goes to another corner and does the same thing, before doing his signature Rob Van Dam taunt getting the crowd to go along with it. He gets down, paces around and starts warming up his legs so he doesn't come out rusty when the match begins. RVD's theme fades out and he waits for the bell.

After Rob Van Dam had made his entrance, Jericho was in the ring doing warm ups, from there he would wait for the bell.

RVD hands his championship to the official who hands it to somebody on the outside. He checks with both competitors before calling for the bell! Rob begins pacing around, circling the ring with a familiar opponent in Chris Jericho.

The bell sounded three times and Jericho would get a chance to get retribution against RVD, a man who he faced in the Elimination Chamber match. Maybe tonight, a win could possibly put Jericho back in line for the title. He would circle the ring, measuring his opponent.

RVD closes in on Chris Jericho and offers a lock up.

The audience would have now taken their seats at this point, and Chris Jericho accepts the collar and elbow tie up with Rob Van Dam, as the two would struggle, both seemingly being even in power and weight.

As this test of strength was basically a stalemate, Rob would transition it into a side headlock!  

[Christopher Keith Jericho]

Jericho would be transitioned into a headlock, unexpectedly-expected. From there, he would quickly look to push Rob to the ropes!

RVD would be sent to the ropes, hitting them and rebounding back towards Chris Jericho!

After pushing Rob to the ropes and off the rebound, Jericho would drop down to his stomach, forcing Rob Van Dam to jump over him and run the opposite ropes now!

Rob would jump over Jericho and hits the opposite ropes, coming back towards the center of the ring again.  

[Christopher Keith Jericho]

Getting up to his feet quickly when Rob Van Dam ran the ropes, Jericho looked to bring him down with a Japanese Arm Drag!

Rob was took down with the arm drag, getting back up quickly!
