I have one daughter. Her name is Illaria, and she'll be 2 in August. She's currently being monitored for Autism, and has genetic testing next month >.< I'm a concerned mother....

Have you received any news?

Nothing definite yet. She had her late 18 month appointment with her pediatrician this week. He's still concerned about some of the things she does. Most babies grow out of their odd habits, but we'll see. For now, everything she does is just cute.

what "odd" things? My friends were afraid something was wrong with their daughter because she was so rigid and organized, but then found out she was just copying them!

She prefers to wear socks on her hands, put cups or rings on her feet, and tries to make things with wheels move left and right instead of forward and backward.

Yeah ^^;; They're more like things we hope she grows out of, but if not it means she doesn't make the connection for how things actually work.

And I am happy to say my situation I mentioned earlier was resolved. My husband sat his friend down and talked it out, so the next time we were all together there were no negative comments being thrown out. biggrin
