Dris loved studying the stars, either in class or by painting the sky. It was always his favorite bit of natural canvas, and he believed that the sky was a beautiful design with each star in perfect place. He made sure to know all the stars and celestial bodies, enjoying being out under the night sky.
Cʜᴀʀᴍs
Dris always found charms easy, the study fun and interesting. He likes to read up on the topic, learning new charms. He practices whenever he gets a chance, liking to make sure his stances and movements were flawless.
Dᴇꜰᴇɴᴄᴇ Aɢᴀɪɴsᴛ ᴛʜᴇ Dᴀʀᴋ Aʀᴛs
Dris liked defence, but he never found himself terribly good at the magic involved. Try as he might, he couldn't ever quite master the topic. He also struggled to face his fears against Boggarts, causing him to lose points in the practical.
Tʀᴀɴsꜰɪɢᴜʀᴀᴛɪᴏɴ
Despite being decent at maths, Dris never quite figured out the logic behind Transfiguration. He tried to figure out the correct moves and measures, but never managed to perfect it, despite getting extra help.
Aʀᴛ
Having practiced and studied art for practically his whole life, Dris was pretty confident going into his NEWT exams. Sure enough, he did his best and utilized his knowledge and skill, proving his prowess in the subject.
Cᴀʀᴇ ᴏꜰ Mᴀɢɪᴄᴀʟ Cʀᴇᴀᴛᴜʀᴇs
Despite liking magical creatures, Dris was a bit lost with some of the lesser known critters. Sure, he knows unicorns and centaurs, but he gets hinkypunks and skrewts. He can identify most of them, but sometimes has issues remembering which is which.
Mᴜsɪᴄ
Dris spent his life in love with music, and he fell in love with the class. He studied composers and artists, while learning how to play the few instruments he knew. He didn't know many instruments, but he studied a few hard on the ones he was able to figure out.
Wᴀɴᴅʟᴇss Mᴀɢɪᴄ Pʀᴀᴄᴛɪᴄᴇ
Dris loves using Wandless magic, as it makes things a little bit easier for him to manage. It helped that his wand was usually covered in paint or mixed in the bottom of his bag with brushes and pens. He always just found it a bit easier to use his hands instead of channeling magic through his wand.
Wᴀɴᴅʟᴏʀᴇ Sᴛᴜᴅɪᴇs
Even though he had a friend who specialized in wandlore, he still had never perfected the skill. He was partially able to figure out the woods, but he couldn't figure out how to identify the cores by just looking at the outside. It was something that baffled him.
