She did not want to be here. Ada came earlier than she every would have wanted. It was because of her family name. She was the only one in her family who could make it after all. People would definitely know if she was absent. It would cause her more trouble to skip the event than to suffer through the night. At least she had some friends with her: like Mitsuru. They came together. Well, she told him he didn't have to come as early as her. If he was currently with her Ada would definitely feel more at ease. If he hadn't arrived yet she would survive. It really wasn't an end of the world situation after all. At least she wouldn't be the most revealing dressed person here. Ada was counting on that to help people leave her alone. It probably wouldn't work.
A glass of champagne was in her hand as she stood off to the side for the time being--people watching. One of the teachers came in and she knew the Alarics were around. She didn't really converse much with either of those particular members of the staff. At least not idle talk. It was usually work related--which was fine. Just because she tends to be friendly doesn't mean she needs to become friends with everyone. Plus, her fun-loving attitude hasn't been as prominent with everything going on within the passed six or so months. She had even started to question if she should step down. After all, she took up the position for Ander. She just wanted to help him. It was the least she could do. Now, she seemed to be...not needed. Being a headmistress was never a passion of hers. Sure she cared about the students, but still. Ada didn't even know if she had a passion. Everyone did, right? Mitsuru had his music. Aurora was always fiddling with her bike. Jacob was obsessed with learning. Tink was really trying to get adjusted to the new job. Wait. Were all of those actual passions? No, probably not. She just didn't have any drive when others around her seemed to. A soft sigh left her lips before she took a sip of her drink as she continued to space out lost in thought. Perhaps her current outfit was reflective of her inner feelings. Some might see it as being on the casual side after all.

Events like these, were never new to him. He had been to a million like them, and would most likely be to a million more. The part that was new to him however, was actually having a date. Well, he called it a date in his head, but it was probably just friends weathering a boring party together. However it was seen to others, he would continue to see it his way for now. Sometimes a person needed a little bit of delusion in their lives. Though with Mitsuru, you would think he had everything he ever needed. A father whose happy, a foster father whose looking happier and healthier everyday, students that he enjoys teaching, and a friend he appreciates being around. He was a very lucky man right now. If his crush and him became a thing, then he would entirely be a man with a long stroke of lucky lately.
He had arrived at the same time as her, had even seen her walking inside. But, he didn't get to catch up to her right away since he was speaking with his father, who was still kind of blubbering like a baby because he got engaged this afternoon. It was adorable how much like a child he was sometimes. But he would eventually part ways with his father and the new official addition to the family, before coming up quietly behind the woman.
Lifting his hands, he would rest them over eyes with a small smile. "Now I know these things can be a bit stale, but I don't think I have ever seen someone look so miserable before." He would say with a chuckle before he released her eyes and gave her a small smile. He was in business casual clothes at the moment. He didn't want to look overdressed, but not that he wasn't trying to look nice either. His hair, which he was growing back out, was down, hair only tousled from him pushing it back with his hand. "Should I steal you away later so you can escape?" He would ask with a lighthearted tone as he gently nudged her and took a glass of champagne himself.
"As always, you look beautiful." Sometimes he felt like she looked TOO beautiful for someone who probably didn't have to put a lot of effort into it. Some people were just blessed with natural attributes others would die or kill for.

So apparently there was this whole mandatory banquet thing he had to attend, even though it really wasn't his scene, and everyone was dressed up in monkey suits which just made people awkward. He would have dressed in some never-before-seen style, but money being what it was, he had to opt fro something slightly more practical. He chose to don black pants that were still unnecessarily tight, black studded belt, black boots, black short-sleeved button up shirt, and a loudly bright red tie. Strolling in, he noted that there was already a decent-sized crowd, which was good he supposed, nice to know that people weren't dead or anything...Glancing around, he saw the abomination was already there with an older man, but thus far Ali had not yet shown up. Maybe he would get lucky and Meredith would stay as far away as freaking possible and not mess with either Ali or him. Doubtful, but it was still a nice thing to hope for he supposed.
If this stupid thing hadn't been mandatory, he wouldn't be here, that's for sure, but it wasn't all bad. There was a benefit here that all teenagers and young adults could blatantly recognize and appreciate: free food. If he had to dress up, albeit like the lead singer of a certain epic band, and act like a dilettante, he was at least going to get some free grub out of it. Speaking of...he made a bee line for the buffet, piling up his plate like he was never going to come back, not really caring if he got awkward looks from other people. Feck, he was, like, the tallest and probably one of the biggest people here, so he needed more fuel than most people. Or at least that was the excuse he preferred to use. He hoped Ali would get there soon, it was too freaking boring here. Unless he wandered off to look at the fishies...yeah, he might have to do that at some point in the near future.

There was this mandatory banquet for all of the heroโs happening, and while normally he would be delighted any time to enjoy the free booze- they chose a terrible night to hold the event. It was a full moon. So normally he would be locked up or running around the ruins, that he now knew the truth about. Which he still had several inquires about, but that was for something at a later date. Thankfully though, his friend Kim had put together such a device that could prevent him from acting out with most of his instincts. With the talisman around his wrist, it kept him more lucid. He walked side by side with his plus one, Kaden, โHey, itโs not like you paid for it yourself. So just be grateful and accept it~โ he said with a teasing smile as they walked up the stairs. He looked over at his friend who so nicely matched him. Jae-Seong was wearing a fitted black suit with a royal purple dress shirt and a red tie.
As they entered into the main dining hall, jade eyes glanced around to see familiar faces of his fellow heros. There werenโt too many, but it was still early. He slipped his hands gently into his pockets. While Jae was more subdued from the talisman, he couldnโt help but worry that he might slip at any moment. It worked well enough so far, but this was the first time he was actually out in public with it on.
He passed on the hors dโoeuvres for now, while Kaden politely took one and seemingly enjoyed it. But turned to where his companion was pointing to when brought to his attention. โHm? Oooh~ Champagne isnโt one of my favorites, but right now Iโll take anything,โ he smiled and rubbed his hands together, walking towards the server with the tall glasses. Jae asked for two of them, one for him and one for Kaden. He handed the fragile glass with the sparkling liquid to his friend. โHereโs to hopefully a calm night.โ He said before taking a sip of the sparkling alcohol.
Lunar Affinity: His senses are enhanced from the moon, and is able to absorb lunar energy- using abilities related to the affinity. He gains more strength, is faster and more durable, etc. He is slightly weaker during the day, but since the moon is still present at times he still gainโs some of the energy. The amount of energy that he absorbs from the moon also depends on the lunar cycle. He is weaker towards the beginning of the new moon, but will be the strongest during a full moon. From absorbing the energy of the moon, he can release it with attacks of various shapes and/or intensities, either projected, used as a part of melee attacks, etc. from huge rays of energy that knock over targets or singe them with the light.
They talked about the fact that it was a full moon tonight and how it was his first time being out in public with the talisman. Kaden assured him he'd be there whether something went wrong or not. He wasn't planning on sticking to his side, however. More like being watchful just in case. If it worked in the past then it should be fine. He wasn't a big fan of it honestly, but if Jae was happy using it that's what mattered. It didn't seem to have some crazy adverse effects. "I didn't ask you to buy it." He reminded him. Would he have bought it for himself? Probably not. He'd rather borrow something to use. At least Jae didn't buy the flashy red suit. He was not trying to be so noticeable. Plus, his mission outfit was mostly red. A thanks was giving when he first was gifted it, however. They both knew that.
Kaden nearly rolled his eyes when the other mentioned champagne not being his favorite since he knew that. It wasn't his either. He knew he'd take anything at the moment, however. That's why a slight smirk appeared on his features instead. He even let out a brief chuckle as he followed the eager man. Kaden took the offered glass gently into his hand. A smile graced his features when the other cheered to a calm night. Hopefully he'd learn something interesting as well. It was a good opportunity after all. The glass was put to his lips so he could take a sip. It wasn't bad considering. Still not his preferred drink. He wouldn't have even gotten one for himself--only having taken it because it was handed to him. Perhaps he would nurse the one in his hand. "When do I get to meet the important people?" He wasn't excited to meet them. Mitch would have fit this situation better. Too bad he wasn't invited. It'd be all too easy for him to get information. Oh well, he'd make due. "You look rather dashing tonight." He said with a slight smile curling onto his face. He didn't mention it before because he was too busy joking about how they looked like a couple since they were matching their ties and shirts.

She did not notice someone approaching her since she had been spacing out a bit. When she saw the hands coming to cover her eyes she could help the startled jerk her body did on it's own. A soft gasp even left her lips. She relaxed as soon as she heard the words spoken right after. It was just Misturu after all. She really needed to pay more attention to her surroundings. A small smile graced her features as the other chuckled. "Do I look that bad?" She asked in a tone which might have revealed she was a bit surprised while trying not to seem too concerned. Ada didn't want anyone seeing her looking as if she wanted to be somewhere else. It just wouldn't do. There were probably many others who didn't want to come yet had to bare with it and put on a happy face. To think she failed at keeping up appearances already. At least his chuckle made her feel more at ease.
Dual-colored orbs watched the other push his hair back after she took in what he was wearing. He looked good in what he picked out. She didn't say anything in that moment, however. It could have been because she was taking another sip right before the question was asked. A light chuckle escaped her as she made sure her glass wasn't jostled too much from his little bump. "Maybe~ Are you going to act like a kidnapper?" It was silly to even suggest such a thing, but now she felt like a fake kidnapping would be rather exciting. Was it weird to think in such a way? Probably.
"Ah," she took a moment to look down at what she was wearing before actually responding. "Thanks...I just kind of threw something on." She did make some effort, but not enough worth mentioning. Ada just didn't care as much about things lately. A smile formed on her face before she spoke again. "You're looking nice yourself." She said as she brushed something off his chest. Was there something even there? Probably not. Another smile graced her features as she moved the glass up to her mouth to take a sip. Eyes eventually looking around to see who else had came in while she was spacing out. "Have you met all these people before?"

Today is the Hero's banquet and he's excited. Getting to spend the night with the other heroes, he was thinking of asking Jae to be his +1 but he was also a hero so he had the feeling he was going be there already. Also Caelia would probably kill him if he didn't take her with him, she is a big fan of heroes. Emilio chose a wide grid inverse black and white suit with a plain white shirt underneath, accessorized with a belt and chain. His little sister was wearing a simple black dress, after Emi being a typical big brother arguing with Cae about she'll be wearing cause you know, she's his little sister. Anyways they managed to come to an agreement. Also Caelia learned sign since she was little, so she is also Emi's interpreter.
They took an Uber to the aquarium, it only took about ten minutes to get there. Caelia almost left Emi be left behind at the entrance of the building but he managed to grab onto her hand to slow her down. Though he couldn't blame her either. Since she was little, she has always looked up to pro heroes, like him when he was her age. And for her having the oppertunity to attend an event with a whole lot of pro heroes, she is indeed internally fan girling. Despite being excited to see the heroes, Caelia.. is also nervous. So as Emilio went around waving at some of the heroes they passed by, she hid behind her brother. Though he tried to encourage her, also because he needs her to interpenetrate to him.
After introducing her to some of the heroes, even introducing her to Mr. & Mrs. Yang (his bosses) along with their son. When suddenly he noticed a familiar face in his peripheral vision. It was Jae!! Now he's the one running ahead of his sister. "Jae! He called out towards the other male before joining up with him while briefly waving at Kaden while hoping he wasn't interrupting anything. He then hand gestures at his little sister before she tried to hide behind him again. This is my little sister, Caelia." He said while signing because habits.

"Bad? Never. Ready to jump out of the nearest window, definitely." The man replied with an amused chuckle. One that was coming from the joys of actually being able to surprise her enough to gasp, and the other because of his joke. Though, while he could see her initial surprise, the man could also see a bit of concern. Knowing her, it was about how she was showing herself to others. She always seemed like the type that didn't like to be easily read by everyone. That is what made her so appealing. She had a mysterious allure to her. "Don't worry, I think that I only noticed it because I hang out with you. Everyone else would probably be fooled by your facade of enjoyment." Now he was grinning as he teased her, in a better mood than what she seemed to be reflecting at first.
"I most certainly would. Now where is the fun in stealing you normally? That would be safe, yes, but very boring." He teased as he took a drink from one of the waiters passing by. Raising his glass to her for a second, his winked, before lifted the glass to take a drink. As he did this, he looked around the room to see if he spot anyone new around.
His attention wasn't off of her for long however. He glanced back her and gave a small smile. "You must be very good at coincidentally putting things on then. And thank you, I tried to find something appropriate but nothing extreme." He didn't need to stroll in the place with a full on tuxedo and slicked back hair when everyone else was wearing more casual but professional wear. He did not want to stick out more than he already did height wise. "Hmm, so far, the only person who looks even remotely familiar is Mr. Alaric. I don't recognize the man whose hand he is holding though. I didn't know a guy like him even had a lover." The most unfriendly guy ever, throwing books at people, was dating someone. So now Mitsuru just looked even more pathetic as a single man. Was he unattractive? Somehow he doubt that with his fan base. They didn't get crazy on him for his music, he was sure of that. Not with everything they wrote in the comments of his videos.
"What about you?" He said as he turned his gaze away from Masumi and their date, the two dancing and chatting casually on the dance floor.

The sweet tasting bubbles fizzled in his mouth and over his taste buds. It was a nice treat to have once in a while, something not too heavy tasting on the alcohol. Unfortunately these glasses that the party chose were smaller than usual and Jae-Seong was already about half-way done with his first champagne. He smirked at Kadenโs question. โIn time, dear friend! Learn to have some patience~โ he teased, taking another sip. His jade colored eyes glazed over Kaden after he made the compliment. It was a rare genuine comment coming from his friend, usually they would just tease each other. โWhy thank you~. Iโve had practice learning how to clean up nicely,โ Jae said to him with a smile, remembering other events in his life. โYou look even more ravishing than usual.โ
He was taking another sip from his glass, nearly finishing it now, before he heard a familiar voice close to him. The male turned around to the sound of the voice being directed towards him and saw Emilio, being accompanied by a girl with hair to match his. Jae looked the manโs outfit up and down and gave a low whistle, though remembered that he wouldnโt hear it. โHeya!โ he said as well as signed hello to Emi. And then the girl who was trying to hide behind his friend was introduced as his little sister, which then made sense since they looked alike. โHello, nice to meet you, Caelia,โ he waved to the young, bashful girl with a friendly smile. It was only polite then that he would introduce his friend standing next to him. โThis is my friend, Kaden. Heโs my plus one for the night. And Kaden- this is my friend Emilio, heโs a hero at the agency.โ Jae signed the first half of he said while speaking, but turned to Kaden for the second half.

Yang had just arrived at the Aquarium after must contemplating if he wanted to go or not. With Yue living in the dorms he didn't have much options of what to do tonight anyways so he figured it was best to go. Looking around as he snuck in the place was much fancier than normal, he smiled thinking what his little sister would be trying to do if she seen all the decorations. He nodded to some of the people as he passed by them on his way to get a drink. "Interesting to see so many heroes in one place," He muttered to himself as he kept looking around at everyone.
