One cloud avoided and remained, the other cloud struck enhanced by his Chakra half of them died. Half remained undeterred. Hopefully, Shion would have ceased her forward momentum if not her hands or perhaps the tips of her fingers would have been exposed to the Rinkaichu remnants. Many typically assume attacks of similar if not stronger capability were enough, but the Aburame's parasitic insects were hardier much hardier things than typical Jutsu. Out of the wave of sixteen thousand Okabe had produced Shion had killed twelve thousand. Four thousand lingered to punish a reckless advance. This four thousand remaining having formed a wall. Which vehemently defended its host from the rest of the attack she had made. There was no sign that they would be moving from this formation. The venemous cloud was no more but now stood a wall of the lethal insects. Between Shion and Okabe.
In her assault, Okabe did not so much as even look in her direction. His back was turned in ravings to himself. "Have I accomplished anything? A pipe dream was it? How can I save the lives of thousands if I cannot even save one? Perhaps I am better off dead. I can rejoin my son. Prostrate myself in the afterlife. Perhaps then?" He seemed completely separated from the happenings that were going on. He was talking about wanting to die. That could have been accomplished had his insects not formed this wall. Kikaichu. Their relationship with their host symbiotic. If their host dies, they die, and while Okabe himself wished for death his insects would not allow it, and while they were given no orders to attack Shion herself they would remain a roadblock in her path to victory. A hissing sound. 16,000 more of these insects surrounded their host. But this would not have been visible to Shion as Okabe was behind this wall of insects.
The room quivered. While he wasn't openly attacking her the fact of the matter stood. The place was still going to blow unless something was done and soon. His insects. IT seemed they were responding to his emotional crisis. Not from rational control or manipulation. For a woman this was comparable to calling his emotional state PMS and the seemingly inevitable explosion his period and right now he was experiencing some severe menstrual cramps. ~~ Techs

Honey only gave a nod of affirmation to Kagerou. She hated working with the enemy more over an ally of a person that just triggered their boss. The unstable lunatic as he may seem had helped both her and Juichi there was no denying and in the time the trio spent with one another they all realized it was him that needed the most help. She had done everything she could do. If that girl had just kept her mouth shut she could have done what she'd always done and fixed this. Remove the memory of Yoshi...just like Toshiro...like Yukasa...like Rokuga...like Iori...like Akihiko...then get rid of everything belonging to them...as the armored woman ran with the group she began to wonder. Honey stopped as they had gone through the tunnel that had essentially lead Shion back to the Auditorium after defeating the former Beetleborg to which Honey would kill her train of thought with a single blatant. "God Damnit." Looking down at the passageway which led to the sub level that was in all sense of the word filled with ******** rocks. These weren't fresh rocks either. Shion's earlier explosive impacts paired with blacks had caused this cave in earlier. Honey looked at Yuno and Kagerou. "Well this is all kinds of ********. Your idiot and our idiot caused a collapse. I know because Yoshi's place was the sturdiest and baby s**t like these tremors wouldn't have caused this." She'd shove her spear into the rocks blocking the passage way. It unclogged only to reveal a hellscape of rock and rubble below." "Yoshi's more than broken a** body is down there somewhere no thanks to your captain hothead midget." Yeah, honey was giving Shion big disrespect. She was entitled to but really she was one to talk when it was HER boss that causing all this to begin with..but then again using that logic SHION was the one who opened her mouth. Really the blame game could go back and forth but Honey would try to signal her comrade through something on her arm after a few button presses.
JUICHI I NEED SOME OF YOUR GREEN UNIT NOW! a response came rather quickly in the man's voice with the sound of childrens crying in the background. "No can do! The sound of a falling rock and screams would be what caused the sudden signing off of the man. To which Honey just pinched the bridge of her helmet looking at the duo with her. "JUICIHI! b***h! ...Alright, calm down, old fashioned. LETS GO WE DONT HAVE TIME IF ONE OF YOU CAN USE EARTH ELEMENT OR SENSORY ABILITIES THAT WOULD BE REAL USEFUL OTHERWISE OPEN THOSE EYES!" Honey would then jump down the hole on the massive hunk of rubble and start looking around with a rather irritable pace to her head movements typically associated with desperation.

Instinctively, Kagerou took a step back, trying to place herself out of the line of sight of others as she activated her eyes. Even if she would be revealing them soon, anyways, years of hiding didn't simply leave just like that. The Uchiha scarlet eyes now ringed and purple, Kagerou saw the world in a whole new light. Information flooded into her head. Yuno's chakra levels and so forth coming from her peripherals, while smack in the middle of her vision she was getting even more detailed readings from Honey's chakra.
However, none of that was what she was looking for. She honed in, finding chakra of an explosive nature and matching with the bakuton chakra her family had introduced to her back when they trained these eyes of hers. The greatest concentration of its lingering remnants coincided with a mass of stagnating chakra, resembling the signatures given off by freshly created corpses.
Down there... underneath all that rubble... Well, luckily, it wasn't like she needed to be very delicate with the body. Stretching her fingers out in front of her, Kagerou let Yuno know, "I've found the body. I'll handle the majority of the rubble, can you bring it up?". It was an order framed as a request because Kagerou didn't give Yuno much of a chance to reply before she jumped down the pit like Honey before her.
Except, Kagerou didn't land even remotely softly. "Alright," she encouraged herself, "Just channel your inner Takeda. All that rage and need to deliver physical punishment." Aiming her leap and landing, she turned midair and shifted her weight over than down to greet the ground with a powerful kick [S+ Hard Physical Formless]. The rubble beneath her cracked and creaked, giving way. Before it could settle, her fist came for a second strike that completely caved in the damaged debris, scattering it in several directions and opening up a large pit that sank several body lengths through what used to be the surface [S+ Hard Physical Formless].
Looking at her handiwork, Kagerou still couldn't find the body she could see in her vision. Moving over to a nearby crack, Kagerou hooked her fingers into the hold and, with a not very elegant grunt, broke the rock at the crease and heaved it up. A good shinobi trained their strength, and Kagerou was a good shinobi. However, brute force had never been her forte. Leaning her entire body into this slab was barely holding it, and the rubble on top of it up.
"Yuno..." Kagerou called out through gritted teeth, in order to call Yuno's attention to her, "approximately 2 meters to my right and 4 meters down... The body should be there, beneath the rock. I think that's the last layer because it looks really close." Sorry, I have to reserve my chakra right now, was the last part Kagerou wanted to say but couldn't.

• Kiritani Heritage - The Kiritani, the maternal side of Kagerou's family, have a long tradition of serving Kirigakure from the shadows and high standards to match. Being able to cast techniques without hand signs is what they consider the bare minimum, and they expect no less from Kagerou despite her Uchiha surname. Kagerou can replace hand signs/seals with equivalent gestures and motion from the wrists or fingers of one hand. • Hippocratic Oath - Whatever it takes from her, Kagerou is determined to save every life she can, more so than taking any. When a healing eiseijutsu is used, a single healing or situational eiseijutsu of lower rank can be supplemented onto it for no extra cost in chakra or activation. This includes augment techniques. • Nightmare Veteran - There's really no place like home. Even genjutsu struggles to match hellish nightmare created from the mind of an exhausted Jack, and this experience, along with several others, has left the already naturally calm Kagerou even better suited to remain composed in the face of any pressure. She is adept at seeing through genjutsu, and even when she can't (or if the horror turns out to not be genjutsu at all), she's still incredibly difficult to ruffle to the point that once Kagerou recognizes the genjutsu, it loses much of its potency. A recognized genjutsu of lower rank than Kagerou cannot inflict real injuries on Kagerou, and while her physical body within the genjutsu is still affected as normal--being pushed, pulled, bound, or what have you--emotional and other strictly mental sensations have no hold on her. • Inkapocalypse - You thought this was a pun on Inka, but it was me! Dio! Bad jokes aside, the PA really isn't about Inka. Dissatisfied by her cluelessness during the Sero pod event, Kagerou spent days researching sealing, and through sheer repetition, it's become easier for her to use seals. She can write seals up to her body rank on the fly, using even her own chakra manifestation if necessary. Writing a seal takes up the same activation as using it, and in the case when her chakra manifestation is used to form a seal, her chakra becomes visible to the naked eye and she can only extend her manifestation as far as 1m away from her body. For the purposes of this PA, Fuuinjutsu includes the Kuchiyose techniques. When a chakra manifestation seal absorbs something, said something is considered to be stored within her chakra manifestation until it is later released with the appropriate technique. • Blood Moon - In the light of the blood moon, Kagerou maintained her calm and spread it to others. Since then, such a practice has imprinted itself into her eiseijutsu. Targets of Kagerou's eiseijutsu can korabo their kai with the eiseijutsu technique, increasing the strength of their kai by one rank. As per korabo rules, the eiseijutsu technique and kai must be the same base rank.
Medical Job Attributes
• Iryo-nin I - Kagerou can retrain [Medical] jutsu into those with a [MEDIC] tag on the end of them. [MEDIC] jutsu exhibit healing properties equal to their rank and are considered to be [Medical] and eiseijutsu. • A Sound Mind I - Due to her training in the psychiatry medical field, Kagerou knows when someone is deceiving her. Note that this does not mean she knows the details of the deception, such as how she is being deceived, what she is being deceived on, to what extent the deception goes, etc. This PA can be countered by either an opposing PA and a higher rank in the psychiatry medical field or by a technique above or at Kagerou's body rank that can obscure truth and lies. • A Sound Mind II - Due to her training in the psychiatry medical field, Kagerou is adept at deceiving others. She doesn't give those telltale signs, down to even the smallest detail, that others use as indicators of truth and lie. This PA can be countered by either an opposing PA and equal ranks in the psychiatry medical field or by a technique above or at Kagerou's body rank that can discern truth from lies.
SHIONxxxxxMORI As the wash of flames faded and revealed Okabe to be completely intact, Shion instinctively shifted her posture to be ready to receive a volley of returned fire. Much to her surprise however, she found the man's insects had also taken up a purely defensive posture as they swirled around Okabe. Shion sighed at the reveal of what her true opponent was; nothing more than a blabbering mad man. Hardly a challenge at all, and certainly not a fun fight. "Oh spare me..." She'd shout, cutting off the man's forlorn monologue. "You think it's the end of the world just cause one person died? News flash, buddy! We've all lost someone. Me, Kagerou, your goons, hell even the kid..." Shion would take a brief pause from her lecture to take a breath and steady herself. "You weren't in that room. There's no way you could have saved him. You cant hold on to every loss, dude. It's not healthy to dwell on it. You gotta move on, keep working to better the world... Now are you gonna calm down and talk this out like rational adults, or am I going to have to paint the walls with your face?" What? You expected a purely heartfelt speech? No sass? Nah. Shion aint about that life.
Kagerou was pretty amazing, Yuno had to admit as the older girl sparked some sort of doujutsu to life. Whatever it was it let her find the body underneath all the rubble Shion had left behind. "I can try but um I don't really come equipped with any earth moving abilities." Her rapier wasn't exactly good at shattering stone and neither was her suiton.
Once Kagerou had shattered quite a bit of the rubble Yuno was quick to follow her instruction and jumped down into the hole. She wasn't exactly that physically strong herself but following Kagerou's example she could try punching as well. Once she located the spot where the body was supposed to be she took a deep breath and concentrated on her training. First she'd weaken the rock by seeing if her rapier could be thrust into it. [Thrust - rank C] then she'd sheath the weapon, focus her mind quickly and deliver a hard strike with her fist to the same spot. [Hard Physical -C]
Silence. The only sound was the buzzing of the Rinkaichu. But wait. Silence? For there to have been silence the gave would had to have stopped shaking. Which it did. The wall of insects remained in position then it parted when the tip end of the man's shoe penetrated it. Like Moses parting the red sea the insects split. The man's head was cocked in a curious position as if something for just this moment clicked into place. "Spare you? If only that were within my ability. You're already dead. A walking corpse." Okabe would turn around and remove one of his gloves. Like a vaccum, the insects all began to be sucked back into his body. What did the man mean? Was she already infected? He'd make it clear she was, but not with his insects.
"You're right I couldn't have saved him. But you could have, yet decided not to. Why was that? Because you had to follow your orders? Because you felt your life endangered?" Once the cloud of insects was gone he slipped the black glove back on it making a distinctive sliding sound. "Shinobi are tools for their nations. You can disguise it with what you call camaraderie. Duty. You're that villages slave. You decided on your own whim to sell yourself to it. The man says jump you say how high, the man says to kill your family you ask with a knife or sword. Refuse to do so and you're no longer the hero you think you're being. You're a traitor, and at the end of the day no matter your justifications. One who murders. Yoshimoto was extreme but even he'd have spared your life. But I understand. You're correct. That's the way of the world isn't it? Knowing Yoshimoto, you felt pressured and deemed killing him the only possible solution. He wasn't a man that surrendered easily. It was not as though you had the option to spare his life then was it?" He looked up at the collection of corpses in the glass dome above. "You were only keeping the ones you care for dearly alive. You gave them a choice. Some would take it. Others refused. You yourself had no choice." It seemed he was talking to himself...yet also Shion? It was difficult to tell. After all he was being classified as a loony.
Okabe didn't know that Shion could have easily ended the battle without casualty. Yet it sounded as if he did. His words would weigh this guilt on the girl's shoulders. Whether Shion had the heart to acknowledge that...well to be determined. Okabe it seemed had calmed down. If not only because Shion's words spawned a tangent away from his current thought processes. "You think you're doing good. Confined to your little villages. "I'm keeping the lives of these people safe." you all say but when you open your eyes and realize you've given up your own life for theirs. Any hopes, any dreams, and aspirations. Must all be confined to that prison you call a village...and while you're here the rest of the world burns to the ground." The monitor on the screen changed. The red sky revealed. The meteors that would eventually collide with Uzugakure destroying it and much of its populace. Okabe would have turned around and looked at it as if being mesmerized by it as it reflected in his sunglasses. "No matter how hard your efforts. You can't make a better world in your position. You can surely make a better village that's for certain. But with a career that employs children to die for them, to deceive others, to kill without question, to DIE for their village, and who play with their power like this... As I said, I cannot spare you. You are already dead and the only one capable of sparing you is yourself from slavery til death." Okabe would stare intently at the monitor as the meteors touched down. The cave again would begin to quake. Whether it was Okabe or the meteors was uncertain but as far as the retrieving group would know or could possibly assume Okabe would have yet to calm down.

Honey watched complacently. So she had those 'eyes' huh. It truly was a good thing it seemed she didn't decide to get serious with her in their earlier fight. To Honey she had developed a train of thought that Kagerou was just toying with her that entire time. Far from the truth seeing as in reality apparently she had put the psychologist on the ropes. Yet, this display made it so Honey would have an utmost air of confidence given to Kagerou if not just for her eyes alone which implied a reliable strength. When she destroyed the rock additionally Honey couldn't help but say So you were going easy on me this whole time? I should be insulted but as long as we get Yoshi back." Cue the rumbling. and soon. The better.
Yuno's first strike would cause a divot in the rock. Certainly not enough to destroy but with its integrity weakened her subsequent strike would prove just enough to reduce the remnants to dust. There beneath the rubble as well...a mess. Honey would then position herself with the girl "Not bad for a kid. Juichi would likely be in this same situation had you gotten serious with him...maybe." Blood clearly made by a blade around the neck had caused blood to pool. The upper portion of the head was destroyed by most likely a rock with grey matter pooling into the blood. His Torso remained turid and strong despite a rock having landed on it but several bone fractures reproduced a gruesome sight. Out of everything his legs were the most intact. His body was also covered from head to toe in burns. Honey looking at his lower body would see that his 'defense mechanism' was ripped out, and judging by how it was ripped out Honey would make the comment "Stupid idiot. You always were a closet masochist weren't you." Although there was a shakiness to her voice. As if trying to resist getting emotionally upset into an ugly cry. After all the promise of this 'woman' she was with was to bring her associate back to life after all. No point mourning the returning dead right?

Once Honey and Yuno brought Yoshi out of the pit, Kagerou wasted no time in sliding out from underneath the large rock she had propped up and exiting herself. With a heavy bang, the rock settled after being released, and Kagerou's jump out of the pit was accompanied with a large cloud of dust. She settled on her knee, giving herself a few moments to rest, but not too long. She could feel Honey's expectant gaze upon her, to which she returned with a smile, and she naturally didn't want to disappoint. Playing the role of the reliable, far from exhausted kunoichi, she strode gently to the side of the splattered corpse.
"I'll begin now," Kagerou announced as she went through the usual show of hand signs, "I'll have to take the body to heal it first, and then I can search for the soul and, if all goes well, return it."
At the end of the string of signs, a large head erupted besides Kagerou, with eyes the exact same as hers. She put a hand upon the structure and lightly leaned upon it as it activated.The opening of its mouth revealed no less than five tendril-like arms weaving and spinning out to grab onto the remains of Yoshi. Some of the arms entwined around the body. Others scooped the gray matter and whatever was left. All of them dragged in everything that remained until the floor where Yoshi lay upon was now bare. Then the mouth closed.
And for a while, all was silent, at least from Kagerou. Seconds ticked by as she waited, still patiently leaning against the statue.
Then Yoshi's body was released, fully restored. The King of Hell statue remained as Kagerou's eyes glimmered, spinning a 7th of the full way around. "Almost done," she spoke calmly, assuaging any worries the others might have. She took a seat besides the head of Yoshi new body and then took another breath. While dangerously close to her limits, she knew what she could and couldn't handle. With a still clear mind, she went through the whole show of hand signs again and then cupped one hand in front of the King of Hell's statue. Once again, the gaping maw opened wide. This time, there was nothing within the abyss of its throat. However, over time, within the fingers that were curved like they were holding onto a small, precious orb, a small soul slowly swirled into existence. At first, a weak wisp, then as Kagerou gathered it more and more completely from beyond the veil of life, it shined brighter and grew stronger. If one listened closely enough, they would be able to hear her humming and singing a little tune very softly, slightly breathlessly. She hardly had the energy to spare, low on reserves as she was and exhausting at this technique proved to be, but the technique was as complicated as it was exhausting, and the song helped her concentrate.
When the soul was completely within her grasp, she breathlessly asked, "Yoshi, my apologies if this is against your wishes. However, the people on this side still need you," out of respect for the one she summoned, before lowering her cupped hands and gently placing the soul upon the lips of the dead. Her hands moved up and over the soul in order to push gently upon the glowing orb until it was completely absorbed through the mouth, and even after that, Kagerou kept two fingers over Yoshi's mouth, keeping any of what just entered from leaking out. The soul of one who died would rarely fly back to its old shell. To do so was against nature. Until the very end, they needed to be guided, and while Kagerou could force it through sheer will, she had always felt, perhaps out of inexperienced optimism, that a gentle touch couldn't hurt.
Once she saw that the soul was completely absorbed, Kagerou closed her eyes as the Rinnegan faded and dropped her extended hand to her lap, where her other hand also rested. She sat completely still, sweat beaded on her forehead the only signs of the properly poised and still gently smiling kunoichi being on the brink of exhaustion.

SHIONxxxxxMORI A smirk is all Shion would dignify the man's attempted guilt-trip with. Did he really think that was going to work? Going to make her feel sorry for what she'd done? Shion would always mourn the loss of a lfie, true, but she'd never take back her actions. From the moment they stepped foot into the cave, it's been nonstop attacks. Green: Attacked on sight. Honey: Attacked on sight. Black: Attacked on sight. Each giving no initial signs of backing down or showing any mercy. Black's death was just as much his own fault as it was Shion's. "You know what? You're right. I did throw away my freedom to work for the village. I'm a killer. Have been since the day I was born..." She began, glancing at the horrors unfolding on the monitor; it was a problem she couldnt afford to become distracted by just yet. "I may also be a walking corpse... but I'm still streets ahead of you. Sure, I might not be able to make a perfect world. I may never save everyone, and I may end up hurting a lot more people than I actually do save... But I'm never going to stop trying. I'll never lie down in the dirt and throw aside my ideals, even if it costs me my life. You talk about saving the people from the village system as if its some noble goal, then just as quickly throw that goal away and condemn those very same people to die when you lose someone. Is your resolve really that weak? C'mon, dude. Surely you're better than that. As she spoke, Shion readied a Kunai in her hand. Time was almost up...
"Indeed it is." That was the answer in regards to Shion's question about his resolve. The screen blacked out. He'd turn around. "For if it was stronger, then Yoshimoto never would have died to begin with, but I had believed him a man capable of standing on his own merits." Okabe walked toward the nearest chair. Calmly he'd pull it out and sit. One leg over the other. "You seem to have one misconception. The NLA is not Kogarashi. If shinobi and people choose to live in their villages after becoming enlightened then that is their choice. The only thing we intend to liberate, is people, from themselves. If you wholeheartedly believe this 'village' and your life is worth what I consider imprisonment you are more than welcome to it. I simply see it as a waste." the man took a breathy sigh. "That includes ourselves as well. I cannot control my outbursts, this is why I surround myself with people whom I believe can. Yoshimoto was diligent but also arrogant, Juichi is enthusiastic, but also ignorant, Amai is considerate but also hesitant and I appear strong..but not afraid to say he's broken. We are each other's pieces ensuring the others do not fall apart. So for what it is worth, you have my thanks from preventing another accident which would have broken my parts further. But that is the only thanks I'm willing to offer you. Now that the adrenaline has left the room when you leave perhaps you should think heavily if all the actions which led you to this point were all at all necessary." Okabe would then close his eyes concentrating the cave began to rumble again as the hatches of the glass dome above opened again. The insects which he had wildly lost control of began to return back to their nest of corpses but then came a realization he could not recall all of them. "Well it seems this place is no longer fit for residence." He stood up with the screeching of the chair as the cave rumbled again though much less intense than before. He walled by Shion to exit without so much as acknowledging her existence but this was the norm. When calm he always seemed somewhat lucid.

Honey would brazenly push Kagerou aside rudely but really it was clear what that intent was as she picked up the mans body and embraced him in a sobbing like a manner that tried to keep the tears at bay. "Yoshiiiiiiiii! I thought we lost youuuuu.""Honey. What did I say about touching me. Moreover what is happening and why do I have this pit of both hate and satisfaction in my stomach for someone or something other than you at the moment. letting go and letting the situation sink in the cave wasn't shaking as violently as before but yet continued shaking. "We don't have time for that right now! We need to go! Now!" She'd sling the man over her shoulders and look at both Yuno and Kagerou. "Hey...uh..Thanks...but...You're on your own from here on out!"THE HELL WOMAN PUT ME DOWN I HAVE LEGS!..Although it seems I cannot feel them right now."Honey would book it with the man in tow. The quaking was no longer violent. Something happened but whatever it was the structural integrity of the 'base' was not sound. That enough was certain.
~Screen Fade~ {{You can continue a post chain of how you escape the collapsing cave if you desire but this will be the last post on my end here.}} All was said and done. Had the rest of the party escaped gathered outside would be a bunch of people on the back of ants, Green standing with his arms crossed looking at their former base, Honey with her spear at her side doing the same. Okabe as well and finally the Black Ant resting on the back of green ant still having yet to fully recover awake but immobile as if his whole body were numb. In one final rumble, the base collapsed in of itself. ...tch..I worked so hard on that place. Well boss we're going to head out. Maybe we'll get to see each other again kid and we can do each others nails, show me the ropes. he'd refer to Yuno before a wave of his arm caused the ant parade began to walk eastbound. Honey, the one ant carrying Black and Okabe remained.
Okabe would then approach Kagerou."So I see it wasn't a bluff then. You have my sincerest gratitude Kagerou Uc...Kiritani. Before I depart it may be best that you know. As I stated earlier, an ex-member of the Sons of Helios resides in your village. He will have likely taken residence somewhere underground. He is, unlike us, a merciless sort and a frightfully deadly puppeteer. You may now be realizing this, but your village is on the brink of war with a group known as Kogarashi I'd advise you be prepared and before you ask, the NLA will have no part in it. Perhaps we will cross paths again on better terms. Feel free to scavenge the base for anything you may find useful."
Meanwhile. Black while staring at the clouds would then call out to Shion. "Might I see the one that slew me! I've some words." should Shion humor the guy he'd be looking up at her the same flames in his eyes as he did then. "I will never live down this dishonor. I had been restraining myself due to you being a woman and so petite." It sounded like he was insulting her before he closed his eyes and continued with what sounded like gratitude. "You have enlightened me in showing me that women are not all weak, that all challenges are to be treated with all due seriousness, and that I should be more humble and less foolish when taking hits. I will look forward to facing you in the future where when I defeat you I will take you as my bride." Had Shion been restraining herself. Honey would place a hand on her shoulder. Having assumed women weak was enough. Rather than discourage Shion Honey would give her a nod implying it was okay to injure the man. Seeing as she was a medic raising a healing hand as a context clue.

"Hey!" Kagerou shouted after the escaping Honey and the guy named after a green dino.
What for? Out of outrage for being left in the dust? Disgruntlement for being pushed aside? Disregard for literally bringing a person back to life.
"Don't forget to give Honey a coin for hugging you!"
No, apparently, it was none of the above.
"Oh! And don't let him do anything physically- ahh... Whatever..." Yoshi and Honey had both long since turned the corner. "Come on, Yuno, let's go." With the way Kagerou casually spoke and stood up, while expertly hiding the lack of strength in her own legs, one wouldn't think the cave was literally collapsing around them.
As for her escape? Well, Kagerou won't bore you the details of something so bland.
Once outside, the excitement started up again. Though, Kagerou had relatively little to say. She only nodded pleasantly at Okabe's gratitude, and otherwise blended into the background as the others took front and center with their own pieces. It wasn't until Black took Shion aside for some talking to that Kagerou approached Green, taking out the coins she had collected during her short and tempestuous visit. "Here," Kagerou returned the coins, "Please give Honey's coins to her when you can, and feel free to keep in touch. Not just you, but everyone. Although, I think your boss already knows how to reach me... Oh, and you, Juuichi, you should definitely visit some time in the future. Not too soon, though. Can't make any promises really, but I'll try my best to not use them." While her words formed one part of what she said, the coins Kagerou had given to the two would complete what she intended to convey. An address to some place in the Water Country was etched into the backs two coins, one each for each of the two. Juuichi's coin also had a small "63" next to a larger kanji for "ant."
Questions regarding what and how Okabe knew so much for her would, also, need to wait for another day. As well as his perceptions on Kiri and other philosophical musings. Back on the surface, the aftermath of what Kagerou had seen on the video screen had painted the sky in a murky red, the catastrophic effects dying that corner of the world a new color entirely. Behind that flawless smile and in the peripherals of the gaze Kagerou directed towards her immediate gathering, concern lurked. That was the direction of Uzushiogakure if she recalled correctly. Aside from the countless other lives, there was also a special friend.
The temptation to summon herself to said friend was great. However, she restrained herself. After all, said friend hadn't summoned her, so then... everything must be alright, right? If not, then what must have happened was that everything must be anything but alright, and it would be folly for Kagerou to plunge unknowingly into that chaos.
It wasn't like her end wasn't without chaos, either. Once the two groups went their separate ways, Kagerou reconvened with Shion and Yuno. Her eyes lost their purple hues then, having been active and registering chakra signatures this entire time. Kagerou gave a meaningful glance at the abnormal skies, but said something different, "Should we start searching for Arashigakure from the crater it no doubt left behind?".

SHIONxxxxxMORI [i hate that this is a short post but i gotta get one out for yall.]
Shion let out another one of those infuriated sighs that had become her calling card this mission. Sure, this was cause for celebration... I mean, the not-terrorists got their friends back and Shion's team had technically completed their mission. Still, her mind lay heavy with thought [probably a first for her tbh]. For one, she was just letting a group of unstable mercenaries loose into her countryside; surely no good could come of this. Second, and probably the most pressing, was the matter of the villages. The world's two most prominent villages were either totally gone or teetering on the brink of destruction. What's even worse, one of the enemy's agents had apparently slipped in past the guard; no doubt a result of CORE effectively being put out of commission.
Just as Shion was turning to leave, Black called out and delivered his... heartwarming... speech. Shion would simply roll her eyes and give the man a shake of her head before turning away. "Whatever. Just dont die again." It was all she'd give him. Now wasn't the time for jokes or levity, despite what those around her thought. "Kagerou. Yuno. C'mon, we got places to be."
And with that she was gone, dashing off into the woods and towards home.
A blue skinned boy could be seen approaching the nearby falls. It seemed he had come here for something...his mind wandered a bit thinking back to last time he was here....he didn't remember....but this place seemed important. It felt like he had to do something here particularly he likely couldn't do elsewhere. Taking a moment...he would sit down and close his eyes. He didn't really know what it was he was doing exactly...he was just...doing it. He could feel it...chakra all around him. He felt like he could experience it....take it in, make it his own....
He tried....so hard. Focusing on the chakra in his body, attempting to allow the chakra around him to make it's way into his body...to meld with his own chakra...his own body. But it seemed to almost not work....like something was stopping it from doing so. Maybe it was himself, maybe he just wasn't ready. No that couldn't be the case, he knew he was ready. He just needed to try harder right?
Wrong, it seemed trying harder had the opposite effect that he wished for. The calmer he got, the less active he got....the less the chakra seemed to accept him. It was frustrating to say the least, maybe even more so he felt like he should already be able to do this. Being able to pull natural chakra to him seemed almost like it was suppose to be what he was meant to do in the first place. He couldn't give up here though.
He decided to try something else, taking a moment he began to move towards the nearby body of water. It was rushing...the rapids leading to the waterfall where he would plunge in. Maybe it was because of the water. Maybe he couldn't focus. He tried once more, the rapids moving him as he calmed himself. It seemed to be working....however not so much the calmness he had in the water. It felt different, almost like the chakra around him was responding more to his movement than the lack there of.
From this point he would begin moving, keeping himself calm, practically meditating while moving. Not an easy feat for a normal being...but he was different. Not as different as others of his kind...but he was an ever moving predator....or at least closely related to them. Focusing while moving was part of his...thing...part of their thing. As he did such he could feel it, the chakra seemed to practically flow to him....his movement only helped him continue it's flow to him. He felt like he could use it...this natural chakra....he would soon find himself swimming quickly through the rapids, exiting the water to jump into the air before plunging back into the river's waters every so often heading off to who knows where. It wasn't a smart decision, but Emiko couldn't take it. The guilt she felt towards the exiled people and their plight was far too great. The voice inside of her head spoke such ruthless things, truths she had put off for so long. Whether she had wanted to admit it, Emiko knew it in her heart. Nobody would want an outsider such as herself. This was all a front, for her skills to be taken advantage of. The girl would take rest near the falls in a dark section of the forest, taking a rest while she would sit atop a large rock. To distract herself from the thoughts she was having, Emi would let the curiosity of genjutsu get to her and perform a simple hand sign all too familiar. One of the ones Kagami had done before her at the academy. It hadn't had gone as expected, as Emi only proved to really...do nothing apparent.
She swung the stick in her hand nearby the rock after pulling her hands towards her. Why had that sensation washed over her? She hadn't been interested in genjutsu before but perhaps that little evolution of the voice had tempted her into venturing further into the web of illusions and lies that was the world of genjutsu. Emiko hesitated a moment more or so before allowing herself to dabble a bit more into another genjutsu technique. The girl swung her hands towards her chest and performed another few pieces of genjutsu to fill to her heart's content.
A smile was creeping along the girl's cheeks, caught up in her little symphony of trickery. Colors and symbols would float around her head while Emiko would tap her stick along the ground, creating a beautiful, vivid soundscape as every little impact with the ground gave way to mesmerizing illusions within. As she swung away, her eyes would catch a glimpse of a fleeting blue, swirling around her. Her skin felt the kiss of water, crashing down upon her with enough force to swallow her whole. Emiko could feel the oxygen escaping her airways. She felt herself being pulled down under, unable to help but sink further and further.
As she sank further and further, Emiko would slowly begin to falter. Her eyes would begin to close, her struggle with drowning fading away while it became hard to even focus on surviving. She was tired, exhausted of caring about everything and would open her eyes to an endless black void which she was floating in. Bubbles passed as the shape of Toshiro would come to her. "Toshiro...Please help..." Her hand reached out to him, just barely close enough to reach. Her mouth warped into a frown while the tips of her right hand would just barely grace his fleeting form. Just as their eyes met, shadow enveloped his form, distorting it into what looked like the outline of what a person might imagine another human could appear like had they never seen one before. She willed herself to lean closer, skin passing right through the outline of Toshiro until his form would disperse into fragments, each vanishing into the darkness she had found herself in. "He...left." she thought to herself. "Just like everyone else." As if to finally give into the abyss, Emi would allow her body to fall limp. Everything taken from her without remorse, without reason. Her heart had been broken for what felt like time and time again. And this time, she was sick of hoping. Her body sank deeper and deeper...

Deeper into the abyss...
By some kind of force, Emiko awoke on her back, lying awake on the ground, but still only darkness would surround her. The air brushing against her skin was cold, devoid of any warm embrace. Was this what it was like to experience death? To exist only in this frigid void? Emiko wouldn't wish this upon any person. Except one. The name left her lips as her voice echoed across the way. Each voice erupting from this echo chamber would rise in volume with every name passing by. They grew so loud that Emiko would have to cover her ears just to hear herself think. Nails dug into the skin around her ears while her eyes closed shut tight. A cry of frustration left her lips, "Shut up!" she said, shivering to herself. Around her, mirrors would rise up from nothingness in a large dome that surrounded her. A single eyelid rose to be greeted by the face of her supposed torturer: Kagami Hari. The reflections in the mirrors encasing her would move in tandem with one another while she smirked. "You appear troubled, child. Did your only light in the darkness abandon you yet again?" Emiko rose to her feet with a look of astonishment on her face. "You're the voice!? B-But you're dead!" The reflection reacted very little to her and continued. "Your faith that people will save you from this loneliness is laughable at best. To think a whimpering child like you could ever become a ninja." Emi's hands balled into fists while she rushed to punch through the mirror in front of her.
"You don't know ANYTHING about me!" she cried, Kagami tauntingly leaning closer. "A shinobi that relies on others for every aspect of life is worth more to the crows than their village." Crash! Another mirror gone. This continued for a solid five minutes or so before only the giant mirror above would remain. The crimson haired youth was catching her breath, shards of glass around her from her path of destruction. The Kagami above took the break in her violent fit would manage to get a word in. "You lack everything that the people you idolize possess, and yet, you hold yourself to their standard." she said with an ethereal chuckle. Emi couldn't response, the blood which slid down her wrist from a few small cuts would make contact with the floor beneath her feet.
"But fortunately, I am a generous host."
The mirror which hung over her head had become disconnected from the rest and came falling down on top of her. Seeing this, Emiko braced for the impact that never came. A feeling of liquid draped over her body while the falling sensation came over her again. While doing so, Emiko's hands had a soft colorful glow to them. The darkness they traced would finally give way to color. It would spread at a fast pace, the shapes and colors depicting her entire history. From her time in the Academy and Genin-hood towards her time spent with...a familiar looking brown haired boy. For whatever the reason, she couldn't recall the name of the boy despite their history. His parents had owned a ramen shop of some kind and it was very clear they meant a lot to each other. Even Toshi...To...Her eyebrows furrowed. Why couldn't she remember perfectly? It was the first half that she could recall perfectly but not the resulting ones. The canvas that was her story was laid out in perfect for her viewing pleasure but without the essential knowledge to fully appreciate such art. The lone child stared up with a troubled expression as the holes in her memory were growing. That time in her village. The headband was still located on her waist. After the color had ceased its movement in front of her, a blue illusionary flame would come up and consume the painting there in front of her. A part of her would cry out to the painting while the other found it incredibly strange that any part of her would show concern over some history that wasn't hers. Kagami's voice would ring out from the inferno in front of her. "I will turn every part of your being into dust, and from the ashes you will be reborn." The smoke blew into her face and clouded her vision until all turned to black before her.
There wasn't a loss of consciousness but a simple: blink. She was falling once second and the next she was lying on the ground, her head in the lap of Kagami with a look of gentle comfort. Her head was pounding as strands of blue hair were moved out from her face by Kagami. There was a strange weight around her neck and her body just felt larger in certain areas. "You're awake." she said, the woman in her lap simply wondering what was going on. "Where...am I?" she spoke, looking down into what was around her. To the right of her, facing the two, was a large mirror showing the two of them. They were dressed so similar, clad in what looked to be some kind of religious uniform? Perhaps it was some kind of strange performance attire? She looked down out herself to take a hold of her current standings. A slender body, smooth skin with no blemishes. The woman across from her would take her hands in her own. "Can you remember anything?" The confused twin would shake her head, doing her hardest to conjure some kind of memory or speck of information. The woman across from her would wait patiently for her other to surrender the fight and reply with a sullen, "Nothing. Not even a trace." She was brought closer, her hands over the woman's heart while she spoke. "It will pass. But for now, it is time for you to rise from the charred husk that you had been trapped in. Stand up and face your audience, Kagami-" her voice cut off as her image froze. The woman leaned forward out of confusion before she felt herself being pulled away. Her form shrank as the distance between them increased until she was just a brief blip inside of the void.
The woman's eyes opened in a forest, with the sounds of a calm spring next to her, submerging the left side of her body. The posture she had found herself in suggested that she had fallen into the water from some position. The girl recovered and pulled herself ashore, glancing about with a a strange sort of curiosity. This all felt so familiar, though still nothing was really in her head to prove such to herself. Her gazed went back to the stream as her reflection showed herself, but things were wrong. Her hair was red and not the brilliant shade of azure that it once was. Tears of blood flowed down her cheeks as the dreaded dojutsu would be staring directly back at her, the name of which coming to mind. "The Ketsuryūgan." The girl stared at the water before a name came to mind. "Kagami." A smile spread across her lips. "As if I could be anyone else." Her hands undid the tie that held her ponytail and allowed the hair to fall down to her back. After splashing some water to wash away the blood, the newly titled Kagami spun around and began walking through the woods at a slow pace. There was much on her mind, and even more work to be done. But for now, she would simply work on gathering what was taken from her.

You can follow the path of the illusionist (illusory focus), enchanter/enchantress (enchantment focus), trickster (instance focus), or conjurer (chain focus). Selecting a Path grants [3] additional custom slots and [1] keystone for techniques of that category. Genjutsu that are cast by those of this specialization are more efficient as according to the user's body rank, all Genjutsu are [10] Chakra cheaper to perform with the user's specialized Focus are further reduced by another [5] Chakra per body rank. No cost can be lower than a minimum of [5] Chakra. Once every other post all three of the genjutsu specialist's activations in a post can be used for genjutsu.
↳ Master of Deception: With genjutsu, realism and the sensory ability of the target factor heavily into the ability of the victim to realize they are in a genjutsu. The illusionist chooses [1] Sense of Specialization that will render a genjutsu cost [1] rank less if the casted genjutsu's primary sense is their specialization. Genjutsu that use the illusionist's Sense of Specialization as the primary sense become resistant to the sensory powers of sages and non-Infinite Perception discipline scholars. This resistance means that the genjutsu will go unnoticed from these abilities. Since the illusionist has become so adept in their Sense of Specialization they may always weave it into genjutsu as an Additional Sense unless it would bring the illusion's sensory control above the [5] limit. The illusionist may also always select any Additional Sense that is not their Sense of Specialization to add to a genjutsu as long as it does not exceed the cap of [5] manipulated senses.
Sense of Specialization: Sound ↳ Lasting Hypnosis: The user's genjutsu prowess has achieved a heightened level of potency and lingers for longer. The primary sense of any genjutsu that was released using Kai lingers for [1] additional post. This residual effect is minor because the manipulation of the target with the technique has ended. For example, a complete darkness sight genjutsu that was dispelled may leave the lingering feeling that the world is still a bit darker than it is in reality. If a genjutsu used a mental status effect then it will linger for [1] post longer at one level below what it was before at a minimum of level one. Originally level one mental status effects are too weak to linger. The base duration of your genjutsu are increased by [1] post at E-C, [2] at B-A, and [3] at S and above. Instance genjutsu are not affected by an increase of duration but instead cannot be dispelled by kai and only by pain. Genjutsu upkeep lessens by [5] Chakra per body rank and non-Instant are applied with overwhelming, requiring lingering genjutsu to use [1.5x] the resource to Kai.
↳ Kurama: Sakkakugan owners are typically physically fragile. The Sakkakugan is able to see the life-force of a demon inside it's host even when it is hidden by a seal. Genjutsu rank D - C cost [5] less chakra to perform. Genjutsu rank B - A cost [10] less chakra to perform. Genjutsu rank S cost [20] less chakra to perform. Kai costs [10] less chakra to perform.
↳ Sakkakugan Abilities: Life Sense: Within 100 meters, any type of life is able to be seen as a bright glow, when even the Byakugan cannot see it. Potent Illusions: Genjutsu performed while Sakkakugan is active are treated to cost an extra [5] chakra per rank of the genjutsu to Kai Sixth Sense as the First: With a stationary body, the user can detach his vision and walk around to look at things. Cannot physically move during this. The Gift of Life: The user may trade their life for another's, resurrecting them if they were recently killed.
↳ Personal Attributes: Abolishing Sight: All techniques labeled 'weakness' have their duration increased by [1] post. Interweaving Fairytales: Because the Sakkakugan is so adept at weaving genjutsu together they are afforded a unique version of self korabo which is done in place of a normal korabo between two illusions. When more than one genjutsu is on the target their ranks are shifted so that the lower ranked genjutsus get their strength bumped up to highest ranked genjutsu on the target for the rest of it's duration. This is only useable up to the users self ranked korabo level and each genjutsu is still treated as separate when interacting with kai. Any upkeeps are also increased to reflect this change. Otherwordly Imagery: Genjutsu performed by Emiko cannot be mimicked or reversed by any means. ( Genjutsu can still be broken, however. ) Mental Break: Emiko is able to use each Sakkakugan's "weakness" techniques twice instead of once. Doubtful Whispers: With her focus on auditory hallucinations, Emiko is able to cast any genjutsu through the sense of sound. Vicarious Visions: When a genjutsu deals with any elemental status that can be attributed, the target will suffer from the tier that is one rank below of the genjutsu cast. Any resources afflicted are only temporary, and given back when the genjutsu is kai'd or broken through some other means.

"Well, I wouldn't say no to any non-perishable food you have laying around. I'm running kind of low on rations."
A light-hearted exchange between Kigai and an old man who called himself Jun ended with the samurai leaving a small, warm cottage holding a small cloth satchel of kanpan as the two exchanged waves. The younger of the two had been traveling the Land of Floods for a few months doing research on local and rural medicine when he heard the old man scream for help after being pinned beneath a cart that he was using to transport vegetables to a market. Kigai had lifted the cart and tended to the man's hip before parting ways. The older samurai smiled a moment as he continued on his path, taking a small bite of the bread and sighing contentedly. He was finally helping people the way he wanted. Healing them, rather than bringing them harm. The soft scraping of dirt and gravel beneath his sandals blended naturally along with the gentle washing of the river over the smooth stones nestled beneath the water's bed.
And then.
A scream.
Piering the tranquility of the forest beyond the source of the small stream that Kigai walked near, just beyond Old Man Jun's cottage. It sounded distressed. "Shut up! The samurai paused to get a better listen but was greeted with silence. For a split moment he thought he could hear the sound of glass shatter, but it was so faint that he could have easily mistaken it for windchimes. Still, it was enough to spur action. Kigai took a light jog back to the cottage and found it as he had left it. Jun was nowhere to be seen outside, but there wasn't any real sign of distress coming from this place. You don't know anything!" The voice was a little more clear now and he could tell that it was a bit further from where he was. It was not a voice he recognized, but it was still in some kind of pain.
Faster than before, Kigai rushed up towards the waterfall that he had meditated at before running into the old man. He didn't remember seeing anybody go up there behind him, nor was there anybody there before as far as he could tell. It only took a few minutes to get back up the hill. Once he reached the edge of the rocks where the sound of the waterfall was close to roaring, he looked around carefully. If somebody had fallen in they would already be washing up downstream. He didn't see anything strange floating in the clear water below. The trees weren't too dense, and even though they held back the sun by a fair amount he was able to gaze into the various clearings around him. That was when he noticed a woman sauntering beyond the trees. Was she the only one here? She didn't appear hurt in any way, though Kigai knew that not all injuries were readily apparent.
His mind slightly wandered to the possibility that she was the cause of the screaming, and not necessarily the one doing it. He shook his head slightly and narrowed his eyes before slowly moving towards the pink-haired woman. He maintained a bit of caution but made sure to remove his hand from the hilt of the blade at his side so that he didn't come across as possibly threatening. In any case, if he needed to, the rectangular kit slung across his back would serve him should the need arise. "Excuse me, miss? Are you alright? I heard screaming and you're the only person here so...I wanted to make sure you weren't hurt."

It came at very little surprise that Kagami would have very little recollection of what she was doing before her little tangent with her dream near the water. In fact, she very likely couldn't even recall her own goal she had in coming here in the first place. Why would she be here instead of being someplace more worthwhile of her time? The girls feet brought here to a standstill while debating her options here. She could continue and wander aimlessly, like some vagrant without purpose, or she could fully return to her duties of plotting the downfall of the villages themselves. Yet somewhere during this brainstorming session, a man would approach here as Kagami spun around, her hazy pink eyes matching the color of her light red hair in the backdrop of the trees. He approached her with caution, that strange, the way he almost appeared to lower his guard with her, it was a welcome treat and likely one of this final mistakes had she been in a non-playful mood. "Hello." Kagami said, disguising her intentions for this interaction with the man while taking on what he would likely be able to presume a non-threat. "No, I haven't heard any screaming. But I was a tad lost before you found me."
"Who are you? What are you doing so far away from Arashigakure? Isn't it a bit a bit out from home for you?"

Instinctively, Kagerou took a step back, trying to place herself out of the line of sight of others as she activated her eyes. Even if she would be revealing them soon, anyways, years of hiding didn't simply leave just like that. The Uchiha scarlet eyes now ringed and purple, Kagerou saw the world in a whole new light. Information flooded into her head. Yuno's chakra levels and so forth coming from her peripherals, while smack in the middle of her vision she was getting even more detailed readings from Honey's chakra.
