Core Classes

Astronomy : E

Leah studies really hard in order to come out with an Exceeding Expectations on her Astronomy exam.
Though she would have preferred an Outstanding, she decided to accept the fact it wasn’t a subject needed in the long run. Near perfect was better then the alternative she supposed.

Charms [✔]

Defence Against the Dark Arts : E

Defence was probably tied with Healing in Leah’s strength for magical use. Ranking third she wasn’t surprised that she only managed to Exceed Expectations.
It was that boggart that was the trouble. Not that she’d admit it.

Herbology : A

Leah was severally disappointed that she didn’t do better then a high Acceptable in Herbology. Despite all her studying her skills with plants could have been better.
Her written exam probably brought her grade down and she planned on possibly continuing the class just to get a better grade down the road.

History of Magic [✔]

Potions : E

Potion brewing Leah imagined could be way worse. Not that she enjoyed working with all the ingredients. She did manage to obtain an Exceeding Expectations grade.
Luckily that meant she’d be able to continue in the subject. The Ravenclaw did plan on doing better on her NEWTs when they came around.

Transfiguration [✔]

Electives

Arithmancy : E

Arithmancy wasn’t something that Leah found overly hard. It was just numbers after all. She actually found herself disappointed that she didn’t get an Outstanding in the class.
Having to settle all for an Exceeding Expectations, she knew she could have done better.

Care of Magical Creatures : E

Leah found herself to enjoy magical creatures class. She’d come to respect the creatures they worked with unlike one boy in the class (Caleb).
Coming out of the class with an Exceeding Expectations she had no complaints even if she could have gotten a better grade.

Ghoul and Ghost Studies : A

Leah took ghost studies simply because she wondered about it. Both her parents were dead and neither of them were ghosts. Aside from that it also opened a career path which she knew David approved of. Though she didn’t think she’d continue in it after the following year. Ghost weren’t exactly her thing. Leah did put in an effort to get at least an Acceptable grade during her OWL.

Healing : E

Like brother like sister in Leah’s case. Healing although not her speciality nor interest still managed to be one of her top classes.
Unfortunately, she came up short for an outstanding and landed herself a high Exceeding Expectations. She’d have to accept the grade for what it was.

LEAH's NEWTs

Core Classes

Charms : O

Leah was gifted with charms, no surprise given that it seemed to run in the family. Picking up a knack for the wand work, she had little effort excelling.
By the end she wasn’t at all surprised that she got an Outstanding grade. She would have expected nothing less then that.

Defence Against the Dark Arts : E

DADA Leah was pretty good at. She had a good strength in the course. However, she still struggled to deal with the boggart.
Though she’d done better this time around, it was less then perfection. At least she managed to Exceed Expectations with the rest of it.

Herbology : A

Leah after getting an Acceptable grade on her OWL decided to continue into NEWT level. Herbology was not her best class. Going in she’d wanted to get a better grade then before.
Coming out of the exam however she obtained yet another Acceptable grade. At least it was a pass, even if she wasn’t quite over it.

Potions : A

Walking into NEWT level potions, Leah had planned on doing better on her exam then she had on her OWL.
However, that wasn’t the case when she came out of it with an Acceptable grade. Her brewing had never exactly the best but at least it was passable.

Transfiguration : O

Leah had always enjoyed transfiguration. Though she’d never been a fan of transfiguring herself.
Even so she studied hard and made sure to do her upmost best. Luckily her hard work gained her an Outstanding grade.

Electives

Arithmancy : O

Coming out of her OWL, Leah was disappointed in her Exceeding Expectations grade. Coming into her NEWT level exam she was determined to do better and that she did.
Obtaining an Outstanding grade, she was satisfied to walk away with the highest grade possible. Hard work pays off.

Care of Magical Creatures : E

Leah enjoyed magical creatures, she studied hard to get top grades in the class. Ultimately, she got through without many issues gaining an Exceeding Expectations for her final grade.
She wasn’t totally heartbroken over getting just shy of an Outstanding.

Healing : E

Healing had always been one of Leah’s better courses. She’d worked hard to make her brother proud despite his disapproval of her extra curricular actives.
She’d studied hard to make top marks. Evidently obtaining an Exceeding Expectations grade when all was said and done, Leah wasn’t accepting of that.

Muggle Studies : E

Muggle Studies was pretty easy for Leah. She didn’t need to study overly hard.
Sadly, her overall grade dropped to Exceeding Expectations while she was working on other subjects. She’d accept it for what it was even if she wasn’t happy about it.

Music : O

Leah had always been good at music. As such she didn’t have any problems excelling in the class. Her NEWT exam wasn’t much to worry about.
With her usual work in the subject she was able to obtain a rather high Outstanding grade. Nothing short of perfection for her in the subject.
