CALEB's OWLs
Core Classes
Astronomy : T
- As far as Caleb was concerned astronomy was a useless subject. He didn’t even bother studying for it which explained his horrible Troll grade.
Why he ever had to take it in the first place was beyond him.
Charms : E
- If most ministry jobs didn’t require him to have Charms, Caleb wouldn’t have bothered to study. However, they did and so he did.
With the hard work he put in that was full of distain he was luckily to get a low Exceeding Expectations grade.
Defence Against the Dark Arts : O
- Caleb’s second best class had to be Defense Against the Dark Arts. Though that didn’t mean he didn’t have to study.
Managing to get through the written portion of the exam rather well, he only needed to deal with the boggart. Something he was alright with dealing with.
Though his form of humor was a little odd he still managed an Outstanding on his OWL.
Herbology : A
- It wasn’t hard to see that Caleb disliked herbology never mind his head of house. However, he cared enough to at least pass with an Acceptable grade.
Guess he could thank his detentions in the herbology greenhouses. Oh, how he hated mandrakes.
History of Magic : D
- Caleb hated history. It was boring and about stuff he cared very little about. As such he only managed to get enough to obtain a Dreadful.
Potions : E
- Caleb never saw himself being overly perfect in potions. Though he never minded the subject. Coming out Exceeding Expectations grade he surprised himself.
Looks like his studying for the subject paid off.
Transfiguration : O
- Transfigurations although complicated was Caleb’s best subject. Something about changing animals into objects was enlightening.
As such he put time into studying gaining himself an Outstanding grade on his exam.
Electives
Alchemy : A
- Caleb found alchemy to be a tough subject. One he wanted to do decent in. Unfortunately, he’d have to take an Acceptable grade on his OWL.
Not exactly what he wanted but he wasn’t complaining about the grade either.
Arithmancy : A
- Truthfully Caleb never cared about the mathematics or the answers that it gave when done correctly.
The subject in his honest opinion was completely uninteresting. With the little studying he had done he was surprised to pass with an Acceptable grade.
Care of Magical Creatures : P
- Caleb had never been a fan of magical creatures or at least caring about them. He wondered why he even bothered taking the class to begin with.
He hadn’t even bothered to do the practical. It was thanks to the written that he even got the Poor grade that he had.
Cursebreaking : E
- One of the few classes Caleb actually enjoyed and put the effort into studying for. Practically he got it and book wise he managed to do rather well.
In the end he managed to Exceed Expectations.
Study of Ancient Runes : A
- Another one of those classes his parents made him take. Luckily Caleb paid attention and came out of the class with a low Acceptable grade.
Though he could have done better had he not found it uninteresting.
Wandless Magic : A
- Caleb would have done better at wandless if not for his anger issues.
It was one of the few electives that he had chosen to take, so he wasn’t happy with the Acceptable grade.
However, he had no choice but to take it. At least it was a pass.
Wizard Law : D
- The only reason Caleb was in law was because his father made him take the course.
Though he could have done better, he choice to roughly more or less to not try just to spite his father. So, he only came out of the exam with a Dreadful.
