User ImageFaust looked at his white flames around his paw and had to admit to himself he was quite bored. It had been ages since he got into a good fight. In truth he wanted nothing more than to bite and tear into something right now. Taking a deep breath he got up and started to head back to the den. It was time to raise some trouble and something was going to burn if he had to set a forest on fire himself.

He soon saw Giovannti lounging about near the cave entrance. Snarling as he sauntered past he got a perverse pleasure in seeing the brown male recoil. On more than one occasion he had bitten him to make sure that kind of reaction was automatic when he snarled. If the other deava feared him them he was more likely to do as he was told and be of use. A foul burning smell reached his nose as Faust continued into the den. Fear was useful, but there were just some foxes that didn’t work well on.

The blue male came upon a disgusting site. Bái fāng was being his usual self and singing off bits of his own fur. Faust had long sense stopped asking why the male did this. There was always some reason that was utterly ridiculous and pointless that Bái fāng believed with all his three brain cells. Either way it made the den smell and there would be singed bits everywhere for a long time. “ENOUGH!” Bellowing at Bái fāng he kicked a rock at the male only to see the white look up at him confused. “do that outside.” Faust’s lip rolled back over his teeth in a revolted face. A part of him regretting taking in the white deava. He had done it to start fires and blame a group of foxes he was feuding with for territory as their flames were black as well. He followed the white male out and stopped when he reached Giovannti. “The den you will attend to later. For now I want you to find the other black flame foxes.” He knew he didn’t need to give more instruction then that. He had been having a bit of a turf war with a certain set of deavas for a long enough time that Giovannti would likely find them without his eyes. He watched the other male leave and quickly turned back to Bái fāng to see what the male was up to now. Bái fāng was watching some tree roots and twitching staring at them. Deities he hated the lack of intelligence on this fox but the fox was as strong as he was crazy which was helpful. That and having numbers on his side when dealing with another group of deavas was very nice. “Stay here and guard the place. Intruders could be coming.” Faust fought back the urge to laugh as that snapped Bái fāng out of whatever day dream he had and the male began sniffing and pacing checking for intruders. Defiantly an insane fox, but the kind of crazy that was better on your side then coming after you in your sleep.

With a sad certainly that the place was being watched until Giovannti returned Faust took off. He had one other to collect before he would go after the black flame fox group once more. it didn’t take him long to find Nettlebane and his mate. The pair stood out like a pair of suns compared to the rest of the area. Still he made sure to land always away from them and approach slowly. Slu-shi’s mate was something of a trickster and enjoyed a good laugh so by taking his time he was sure to vex her and it was more likely that Slu-shi would come to him and he wouldn’t have to see Elicidy. His patience was rewarded after a particularly long wait. The orange deava came up to him clearly expecting that something was going to happen given the smile on his face. “Care to come and deal with a mild annoyance called boredom?” It seemed the orange fox was very willing which meant that given his numbers he had a good chance of driving back Nos Galen Grief and his brother even if they had their little pet with them today. It was a great day to seize more land get more control. Faust had a pleased face all the way back to the den. Once there he got report from Giovannti as to where the black flame foxes where today. It seems they took advantage of the lax time Faust had not been out or sent out patrols and were already back to their old hunting grounds… in HIS land. Licking his fangs he decided it was going to be better not wait and have the white male start a fire to smoke out the deavas as he had so many times in the past. He did not want to damage his own lands after all. It seemed that they did have the spotted whipping boy with them as well. That should be fun at least. He nodded to Giovannti and Slu-Shi. They knew the score well enough. It was the white crazy fox that took work. “Bái fāng. They are coming for you.” That had the male’s attention. “Those other foxes with black flame. They are stealing all the game to make you starve and they will then come when you are weakened and” He took a short silence to imply just what Nos would do and it wasn’t hard to see the wind flowing in through one ear and out the other for Bái fāng. Slowly things began to click into place and it was clear Bái fāng was getting more agitated. That was good it meant the angrier the fox got the harder it would be to stop him latter. “We’ll help you. Giovannti will take us to them now. After all we are your friends~” it was a clear lie but Bái fāng was too gone to notice already. The brown male had to jump and start right away lest Bái fāng start turning on him for taking to long. Faust remembered that happening on more than one occasion when they had first taken the white fox in and started to see just how crazy he was.

The trip was short and uneventful. Soon enough the brother’s Grief and their little busy boy were in sight and Faust and his skulk began their decent

Nos heard the laugh of the obnoxious pr**k before he saw him. Twisting his neck he saw a group of foxes coming for them. Swearing under his breath he snarled and turned to face the enemy. He let loose his flames to set the grass on fire. Faust Gothyc was a crazy fox that was convinced all land was his and it didn’t seem to matter where Nos or any other fox for that matter was. if they were in what Faust perceived to be his land they would be attacked. Nos found it was easier to fight back and fend of Faust for a while as then the male would have to lick his wounds before he attacked again. It took no time at all before Faust and his little groupies were on them. The orange fox came for Ner’f and the white one came for his brother Drain. Faust was circling around and making attacks of opportunity wherever he could. Coward! Nos’s growled and kicked dirt into the eyes of the brown one. If Faust wasn’t going to face him directly then he would simply have to put down the minion quickly and attack Faust. He saw his brothers eyes flash brighter. Drain’s fur was already splattered with blood as was his enemy. That was interesting. Being distracted was a bad thing. He felt a large weight slam into him making him step back and onto his cloak. Growling he changed tactics and rolled and rolled so that he used the momentum given to him. Popping back up he launched himself at his enemy. A part of his mask became tangled with his the collar on the brown fox. The mask fell to the wayside as he twisted snapping at the other male’s jawline. The flames he let loose before were spreading. Nos knew he and the others would have to leave but so would they. He had let loose the flames to end the conflict early as they were outnumbered but he wanted chance at Faust. Clawing forward he dug his claws into the brown male and let out his flames searing the other male. Seeing him in aguish he kicked out and managed to force the male away. Snagging his mask on his foreleg he darted forward and looked for Faust. The place was a mess with flames and blood everywhere. He saw Faust working with the orange deava to attack Drain. He watched as the orange fox clawed down and put a deep gash in his brother’s wing and Faust was a biting down on Drain’s front legs. Charging forward he aimed for the wings to cripple Faust and leave the male to die in the flames. He would help his brother get out of this mess if he and Ner’f had to carry him themselves. Sinking his fangs in he shook his head as hard as he could do the most damage. He felt another wound appear in his side from a horn. He didn’t know whose it was and didn’t care. “Drain!” Nos shouted through the smoke and pain. Trying to disengage he flailed and attacked where he could before pulling back as and Drain turned to collect Ner’f from his fight with the white and green fox. It was clear that Ner’f was not faring well against the white fox. Swearing over and over in his mind he jumped the psychotic white fox while Drain helped Ner’f get away. He hated running. It was painful to not being able to do more damage, but being outnumbered made this very hard. He would have to gather more friends if he was going to come to this area again as it seemed Faust had been gathering minions and it would likely not be long before he started to attack other locations. Bashing the white fox in the back of the head he jumped off and rushed away from the gathering horde behind him. He was injured and would have a long time to heal he knew. It would take some time before his brother would fly and he didn’t even know how bad Ner’fs damage was. The flames helped to mask Nos’s escape and he only hoped they had done some damage to the other foxes. Thinking over the other ways to escape beside the air he caught up to Ner’f and Drain. Ælfsige Tamir. The name rolled through Nos’s mind. He didn’t know the deava well but knew full well that the other deava despised Faust more then Nos did. Changing their direction slightly the deavas followed Nos’ lead as he headed toward Ælfsige Tamir’s territory. This way even though they were not allies per say if Faust had the gall to peruse then he would have to deal with a healthy very angry enemy. Nos knew from his short interactions with Tamir that Faust had tried to bully and dominate the green fox into becoming a minion and Tamir would not have it. Nos had tried to convince Tamir to join him once but they had parted terms peacefully remaining on separate paths. He knew it was a long shot and the other deava had no reason to help them but if he did then Nos vowed to himself that he would make sure to aid Tamir in any dealings with Faust in the future. This was not the first attack done to him by the crazy deava but this was too far.

User ImageÆlfsige Tamir was already annoyed having seen a large amount of smoke. Curious he was sitting in a tree watching a large pillar of smoke from Faust Gothyc’s lands. Nope he was not dealing with that mess. His claws flexed digging into the dirt. As he watched he noticed fleeing foxes headed toward his land. The flames could be seen spreading in the background of the forest. He didn’t think they would spread to his lands. Though he might need to start a counter burn to keep it from coming. His eyes watched as the foxes kept coming. It took quite some time until he recognized the foxes headed toward him. Nos Galen Grief was a gold masked deava he had met before. An odd fox but clearly manipulative so he didn’t trust the other male. Not as bad as Faust though as Nos left and if he did see the other male did not try and force him to join his little group and was still polite? That wasn’t the right word. The other male was still gauging him he felt like. Considering the male was fleeing what appeared to be carnage Ælfsige could only wonder if Faust was coming. The idea of snapping at the throat of Faust was tempting but the problem was it was rarely just Faust he always seemed to have a horde with him.

Waiting patiently he saw Nos and others with him and they were indeed coming straight to his territory and not changing course. Taking a sigh he stretched out and got ready. A part of him wanted a fight but a larger part of him just wanted to be left alone. Either Nos was fleeing Faust’s territory due to trouble or he had raided Faust’s land and was now coming for Tamir’s the second seemed less likely but Tamir was not removing it as an option. As the group came closer he noticed the limping and blood. So it was the first option were they had gotten attacked by Faust. Still Nos and here were not allied so coming here was risky. Not only that but there was a good chance that Faust would be following. Weighing his options Ælfsige decided he would let Nos’s group pass and should Faust be foolish enough to follow he would make sure to teach the other deava a lesson. Hopefully Nos and his group were enough to make a dent in the enterague that Faust kept. That would be more ideal still Ælfsige didn’t trust that thought.

The closer Nos’s group came the more obvious it was that there was no other group either running or flying after them. That part of Ælfsige that wanted a fight was disappointed. Shelving his feelings he started to approach the group. Nos and his two companions slowed down as Ælfsige approached. “What business do you have here?” He knew the brown golden masked deava could have words that tasted of honey but promised a sting. He was surprised when Nos so openly told him it was solely to avoid Faust and his skulk. That was … rather forward of him. No flattery or kind words? Looking over the group it was true they looked quite battered and Ælfsige noticed then one of the deavas had similarities with Nos. A silver mask and blood stains though is brown was different the flames were also black. As was the white deava with brown markings. Were these foxes family with Nos? that was an interesting thought. Waving a wing to the woods behind him, Ælfsige sat and watched the group limp by him. Nos and the silver masked had similar scents but the white one did not. perhaps a friend or cousin of some kind? That mystery could come later. Ælfsige had learned something interesting. While still a manipulator like Faust it seemed Nos had more refinement and cared for something other than his own ambitions. Following the group he noticed Nos was the only one who did not look back at him warily. So they didn’t know much about him though Nos didn’t seem to mind it.”Settle yourselves. I have no desire to attack you who shares my enemy with me.” That seemed to relax the silver masked fox but did not help the white one. At the end of the day that wasn’t Ælfsige’s problem so he left it at that and kept walking. Every so often he would circle back hoping to find Faust or one of his little cronies behind them. Still nothing happened so either Faust had more on his wing then he could handle or this group wasn’t worth bothering over. Finally reaching a small valley in his land he told Nos they could rest here in the shade of the trees out of sight for a time if they wanted. Nos actually took him up on the offer. Ælfsige stood aside both as guard to his wounded guests and as guard for his land from his wounded guests. He needn’t have worried as they kept to themselves save Nos who came over and offered to answer any questions he might have. Ælfsige assured him he had no questions and didn’t care what Nos did or did not do as long as it didn’t affect Ælfsige or his lands. With that Nos nodded and headed to lay down and rest near the other black flame deavas. In truth Ælfsige had many questions but if he got involved here with this group they might come back and have more dealings with him which would cause issue. The only fox he hated was Faust and by extension his little minions. As long as Nos didn’t join with him then Nos was free to come and go as long as he didn’t cause a ruckus.

Snorting softly emerald flames danced over his paws but he didn’t let it spread lest it catch the whole place ablaze. Once Nos and the others rested Ælfsige would guide them to the edge of his lands and let them go in peace then he would have to return to stand vigil over his lands as he was pretty sure Nos and his party had stirred up a hornets’ nest. A hornet that Ælfsige very badly wanted to singe.
