Core Classes:
♋︎ Astronomy OWL - A
- Astronomy wasn't too difficult for Detch, even though he didn't like the fact that he had to stay up so late at night for the class. He decided that he didn't need to study it much as he was planning on going into other directions for a career and got an Acceptable as a result.
♋︎ Charms OWL - EE
- Charms was one of the easier courses Detch pursued. He had no problem with incantations or wandwork, and managed to get an Exceeds Expectations for his efforts.
♋︎ Defence Against the Dark Arts OWL - EE
- Because of familial pressure, Detch decided to spend quite a bit of time working on his Defence Against the Dark Arts class. While the course wasn't difficult, he however didn't do as well as he would have liked and got an Exceeds Expectations for his efforts.
♋︎ Herbology OWL - EE
- Again, this was yet another course that Detch was pressured into doing well in. Detch studied hard for the course and exams and as a result, got an Exceeds Expectations for his efforts.
♋︎ History of Magic OWL - EE
- Detch found history told by wizards to be an interesting perspective, and as a result, followed the course avidly. While he didn't get the grade he would have liked, he did manage to get an Exceeds Expectations.
♋︎ Potions OWL - EE
- Detch found Potions interesting, and found he enjoyed the idea of mixing things together to get different effects for brewing. He studied the course, and managed to get an Exceeds Expectations.
♋︎ Transfiguration OWL - EE
- Transfiguration was merely numbers and working things to create objects, which was something Detch's goblin forebears were renowned for. As a result, Detch had no problem with transfiguration work, even though he found it slightly cheating to use magic to craft items.
Elective Classes:
♋︎ Alchemy OWL - A
- Alchemy was something that was a curiosity to Detch. While he didn't mind the idea of working materials to make new ones or even the idea of inventing new potions, he found it wasn't as interesting as he first found it and only got an Acceptable for the exam.
♋︎ Arithmancy OWL - O
- Detch, because of his goblin ancestry, was a natural with numbers of all kinds. He found himself enjoying Arithmancy immensely and found that it was more like playing with numbers than actual work, and got an Outstanding for his work.
♋︎ Care of Magical Creatures OWL - A
- Care of Magical Creatures was interesting enough, but not interesting enough for Detch to determine to make a career out of it. As a result, he only got an Acceptable for it.
♋︎ Cursebreaking - EE
- Cursebreaking was a course that Detch was pressured to do well in. While he didn't mind the coursework and completed it easily enough, he didn't get the top grade in his class like his father wanted and got an Exceeds Expectations instead.
♋︎ Wandless Magic - O
- Wandless Magic came as easily to Detch as breathing, mostly because goblin magic was also wandless, though he was one of the first in his family to ever own a wand. As a result, he netted an Outstanding for his work.
