Suhar padded along quietly he was awake for the third day in a row now. His mother never slept and he had periods where he didn’t seem to need sleep but then the burden would always stack up and he would need to sleep for several days in a row. He was currently feeling as though he might be up for one or two more days before he would need to curl up and sleep. He could see his aunt and his cousin preparing to part ways. Sutāraion was leaving Eiru to go with her other mother. Inara seemed sad but accepting of the situation. His own mother was staying close to her sister. Watching the phims he considered things. He didn’t think he really wanted a mate outside of the tribe as it seemed quite hard. He noticed his grandmothers relationship was quite solid as was his mothers. He didn’t know how his aunt did it. She seemed to like the other fox she had kids with but they weren’t going to be mates. He didn’t know if she would find a mate outside of the tribe or not. He hoped she did find love one day. Seeing some of the other foxes in the tribe he did understand wanting to find someone outside of the tribe to get to know. He thought about reasons to date outside the tribe. Itov helped to raise the kits in the tribe and his family was quite large. It meant everyone knew everyone and there was some older fights or misunderstandings at times. There was interest in other foxes but the unwillingness to peruse and risk it not working out and changing the relationship as it was.
An orange blur darted past him. Hex was up to something. Looking around it didn’t seem that anyone was chasing the orange male yet so whatever trap Hex had decided to set up this time hadn’t gone off yet. Taking a deep breath he was glad there weren’t kits around the tribe right now as it might be hard to keep track of the little ones and keep them away from Hex so they didn’t learn his mischief. Sutāraion had become obsessed with trying to ‘catch’ stars after Hex had said something to her. Thankfully that phase didn’t last too long. Suhar smiled thinking about it. He saw a fox walking in the shadows. It was Itov the shadowed male seemed to be talking to someone but Suhar couldn’t see who it was as they were walking on Itov’s other side. The feet indicated it was one of his daughters but telling which one it was without seeing them directly was impossible in Suhar’s mind. Shaking his head he kept plodding along. He didn’t have anything special to do. It was clear the tribe was busy. It was close to their special holiday and yet he felt a bit disjointed from the rest of the tribe. The seer Karistal moved by and he noticed a few of her eyes followed him. Nodding his head in greeting he noticed she watched a bit longer before continuing on her task. He didn’t like the look on her face as she moved. Perhaps she was concerned for some reason? He really should volunteer to help with the festivities. Still she hadn’t handed off a task to him so he supposed it was normal to start to feel a bit overwhelmed trying to put a fest together.
