[ NOTICE ] Attn: Chief Rais and Princess Luna (Teigra, Fea)

The full moon lit the landscape, and the stars appeared to come alive as each one twinkled and fluttered around in the sky. Sparkling trails follow each as they spread across the island. Many bobbed and swirled while orbiting a peculiar glow peeking from within the trees in Ithyl Forest.

A single little spark broke free of the glittering dance. It was like a shooting star, falling to the Great Tree, Laisidhiel. Outside the Tree, the twinkle burst into a shower of sparks. A single, small little pixy that glowed like the moon hovered, with a small scroll in it's arms. Once alert of it's surrounding, it zipped in through the entrance of the tree. The pixy flew from nook to nook looking for a specific resident.

Stopping at the apartment of Princess Luna, the pixy affixed a small, moon-glow letter. To others, it is only a blank note.

The pixy flew to another apartment and put a tiny hand on the door with scorch marks along the edges. It lowed it's head, in a moment of quiet contemplation.

Once sufficient homage was paid, the pixy flew to one last door. The office of Chief Rais, Head of the Faun and Keeper and Protector of Earth Element. The pixy affixed the last small letter. After wiping its hands, it turned into a speck of light and after leaving the tree, it shot towards the glow among the trees in Ithyl Forest.

The small letters, written by a tiny hand, read as follows:

Beloved Leaders, we write to you requesting your presence once again to the Moon Tree in Ithyl Forest. The moonlight will guide you. Seek out each other and travel together. Only you two can read this, and I request that this quest shall not pass thy lips.

Added to the bottom of Princess Luna's note is the following:

My dear Daughter of Laisidhiel, in order to seek out the other who has received this request, follow the trail to the memorial.

Added to the bottom of Chief Rais's note is the following:

Teigra

Rais, Chief of Laisidhiel,the Daughter of Night shall find you. Be patient, and be humble in your travels together.

The little pixy left a trail only visible by moonlight.

Later that evening, the Chief's letter lay set to the side as Rais focused his attention on carefully, but swiftly adding several items to a travel pack. He planned on traveling light (not that it mattered in his case), in order to make the swiftest journey. Of course, he wouldn't be making this journey alone, from the sound of it.

The thought caused a frown to crease his forehead slightly, but he steadily finished his packing, then cinched the pack tightly. 'Beloved Leaders' the noted had been addressed. 'Leaders.' The note had been clear that it was addressed to two individuals, himself...and one other. With the mention of the 'Daughter of the Night' to find him, Rais had only a few ideas just who that could be.

But...why?

He hefted the pack without effort and slung it over one shoulder, testing the balance. Nodding, satisfied, he picked up the note, tucked it safely away, then slipped out of his quarters and closed the door behind him.

Wrapped in his thoughts regarding the journey and the implications of the letter, Rais hooves took him past a familiar, sobering sight. A scorched door to empty quarters, now perhaps more ornately decorated than it had been when previously occupied. Flowers, both fresh and dried, laid at the foot of the door, and around the frame small notes and even a few crudely drawn pictures from some of the little ones had been left.

Here, the Chieftain of the Faun paused, took a deep breath, and closed his eyes while reaching out to rest his hand on the memorial in silence.

Luna's eyes lay cast above, watching the star's twinkle in the night sky, basking in the glow of the moon. Occasionally her gaze drifted off towards a strange yet familiar glow off in the distance, her mind swirling back to the day her sister, her niece and herself met with Rais and urged him to consider the option of moving there to ensure safety. The meeting never went quite like she had imagined and Rais's clear disapproval still registered with the former night princess even to this day.

Sighing, Luna glanced down at her hands clinging tightly to the balcony railing. Slowly she tossed her head to the side and glanced back at her sleeping stallion Justmo. The wind tugged gently at the petals of the flower in her starry mane and she reached up to settle it back in place.

Gently and with grace she turned and strolled back into her alcove, intent on trying to rest. Old habits felt hard to break at times. She had just set herself down softly as to not disturb Justmo when a faint sound at her door drew her attention. It was soft, one that could have easily gone missed but her alert state of being managed to catch the sound of something being stuck to her door. Swiftly the princess strode to her door and peeked out. When no body was presently standing there she turned and caught the note left there. Curious, she removed it, withdrew back inside and moved once more towards her balcony.

What once looked blank for not even half a second was now illuminated more in the moonlight. Letters appeared in a radiance equal to the splendor of the moon.

Beloved Leaders, we write to you requesting your presence once again to the Moon Tree in Ithyl Forest. The moonlight will guide you. Seek out each other and travel together. Only you two can read this, and I request that this quest shall not pass thy lips.

Instantly Luna turned towards Justmo, but paused. The last part of the note rang across her mind again. This shall not pass her lips. Not even to her beloved stallion. An aching pang arose inside her but she pushed it down. Stealthily she moved to collect a bag and began packing supplies for a travel pouch. The note hadn't said how long her and whoever this travel companion was would be out. Once she had ensured she had at least enough of the basics, she went over to Justmo's side and placed a soft kiss upon his cheek. She then turned and wished a silent goodbye to her stallion before stepping out the door.

Bringing up the letter again, she read its contents one more time, noting down the place she was to meet her companion. Her fellow.....leader. Was it.... Sister? By why would the note not say such a thing? More and more questions arose in her mind.

Quickly Luna made her way down towards the memorial, the familiar singed door and left offerings of flowers already painted in her mind. As she hurried around a corridor, the sight of Rais standing there brought her to a pause. "Chief Rais." she spoke directly, somewhat loudly. Her peculiar way of introducing herself. Again, old habits were hard to break sometimes. Drawing closer, she lowered her tone to one more personal than royal canterlot. Her eyes glanced towards the pack he had brought, also obviously prepared for a journey.

And then a shiver shot down her spine. "Are you....?"
