	He got his dues, and he was given a token in return. Otherwise, he was walking back to his den, his heart heavy. Knowing now, what he knew back then, he wouldn't have chose this career path but he did. Like many others that changed families, he couldn't. The rest of the three other horsemen wouldn't allow it. They were in it together, a brotherhood. Mariko's brother was the one whom he protected the most out of all of them. Why? It was different with Makai, they become closer, even closer than his own blood brother but there was another.. He walked passed the center tree then his head went automatically up towards Mariko's den. He heard she had cubs... he didn't go see them. He just heard of them. The thought went through his head before. It rubbed him the wrong way when Makai told him that the father didn't pull through and marry her. That urked him. He sighed, he should have been there for her and the cubs. What...kinda friend only comes when their hurt. There was thought, maybe he should, but ... she had a family, and he, just had the horsemen. He found himself sitting and watching her den longer than he thought. His mind circling..

	Her children were grown now, but not quite adults, and despite having all this time to spend elsewhere they liked to hang out around home. At least one of them did, the red and multicolored female was lurking in the shadows of her mother's den. While the father was present he hadn't actually gone through with marrying her mother so they were bastards of the royal family now, what fun. Title's didn't really matter to the adolescent much anyway. Still, her pale gaze watched from a distance as she smelt a strange male outside. Mariko, watching her daughter's actions decided to investigate but only a smile appeared on her lips as she exited the den. "Well, look what the cat dragged in." Approaching the familiar face she glanced back towards her den. "My daughter had me curious as to who might be out here, fancy seeing you. Though, it warms my heart." She was glad he was doing well, it had been too long. "Akeldama, it's a friend of mine. Would you care to say hello?" Crouching down lower, tail whipping wildly behind her the adolescent tensed for a moment before relaxing, inching closer towards the dens entrance. Coming to a stop, her eyes and face visible she remained where she was. "Hello." Kids these days. Chi Sohma

	{ The first post is erebus, Astra posted it because she was porting my responses as we did last time } Erebus watched the female, adol come out just a little to see her reaction. He read reactions carefully, per his ranking. His tail was dragging as he slowly to decided to walk up. Meeting Mariko at the step below where she was standing. "So that is your daughter." He lowered his head slightly and flicked his tail with a most cautious tone. "I .. would use Makai as an excuse to be here, but I don't think that will help me now, seeing as though she saw me." Sighing. "What is your name then. If you are here, does this mean you are of the doctors in the pride now?" His eyes seemed heavy with sadness and work, even distant. Then looking back to Mariko. Whom in his chest, felt the twist of fate pulling at his heart strings. His feet uneasy and the pull of wanting to leave, but he fought against it to stand strong before them. "Can I get a quick patch as well.."

	Akeldama watched him curiously, but remained silent. She was aware of who he was and had heard her mother speak of him before so she could tolerate the strange male, even if he was close to their mother. Moving towards the side of the dens entrance she made herself comfortable and enjoyed the warmth of the sun on her pelt. It would seem he wanted to know her name and that meant she was going to have to respond to him. "Akeldama. I'm not quite as skilled as my mother, so I did not follow that path in life." Mariko ignored her daughters callous behavior and turned her attention towards Erebus and gave a nod, "Sure, just come inside and I'll get to seeing what I can do for you. Make sure you don't get too many scars to rough up that figure of yours." Giving him some light teasing as she motioned for him to follow. Chi Sohma

	If anyone knew how unwelcomed new ones were- he knew. From the pride- and going to new prides and feeling the unwelcoming disruption that others could cause. Shaking his head. "Lovely name." He genuinely meant it but he moved past her with a slight nod. Jumping up the step and following Mariko in. Closely. "She reminds me of a cub from the ol' days. Cold." Looking to Mariko- and watching how she looked, a lot more mature now, almost intimidatingly so. ".... Is it wrong for me to be here? The air seems... so. Stale. Is it because of me?"
