Maisie Thorburn ~ NEWTs Graded!

OWLs:

Astronomy ~ A
Maisie wanted to do well in Astronomy, but having never been much of a night usually interfered with that. She was constantly dozing off or just sleepily zoning out in class. While she still studied for the exam, there were some gaps in her knowledge which showed.

Charms ~ O
Maisie had always excelled at Charms and wasn't very worried about the exam. She knew she'd do well on it even if she got nervous or rushed. Still, she didn't slack off and refuse to study either. It helped that she genuinely liked the subject.

DADA ~ EE
Maisie was determined to do well DADA and pushed herself to study hard and practice more offensive magic. The exam went well, except for the boggart, which ended up being too much to bear. In her defense, not many teens had gruesome memories for the boggart to draw on like she did.

Herbology ~ O
Maisie had always loved Herbology, even if she found the professor a bit terrifying. Still, she'd grown fond of Professor Hill over the years in spite of his attitude problems, and she did well on the exam, remaining calm the entire time and not rushing through it.

History of Magic ~ EE
Maisie usually did very well in History of Magic since she had a head for dates and events, and the exam was no different. She only made a few errors that prevented her from getting and Outstanding, but she didn't really care.

Potions ~ A
Maisie had always tried with Potions, but it just wasn't her best subject. Unfortunately she messed up on the potion, but her correct answers in the written test section saved her grade somewhat. She was just relieved she hadn't failed.

Transfiguration ~ O
Maisie counted Transfiguration as one of her best classes, and was very proud of how well she did on the exam, given how difficult it was compared to some other courses.

Art ~ O
Maisie considered Art more fun than anything else, but she still took it seriously enough to study. Luckily, her efforts paid off and she went through the exam like a breeze, scoring very high on it.

Care of Magical Creatures ~ EE
Maisie was always an animal person and thus not very worried about Care, but she knew the professor was demanding at times and that the exam wouldn't be laughably easy or anything. Thus, she studied hard and brushed up on her knowledge.

Divination ~ A
Maisie wanted to do well in Divination but alas... it wasn't in the cards. Still, she managed to scrape by with an Acceptable, which was better than the alternative, and about as good as it was going to get for her.

Healing ~ EE
Maisie took Healing very seriously, and as such, studied well for it. She kept a cool head and while she did not snag an Outstanding, still managed to Exceed Expectations on her exam, to her delight.

Music ~ O
Maisie had always been a fairly musical person and thus always liked the class. She also studied diligently and it paid off for her when it came time to take the exam.

Mythology ~ O
Maisie counted Mythology as one of her all time favorite courses and thus there was no question of her doing poorly on the exam. Of course she was going to ace it. Still, she did review ahead of time, even if she knew it all by heart.

NEWTS:

Charms ~ O
Charms had always been one of Maisie's best subjects, and while she knew the NEWT would be more difficult than the OWL, she still wasn't very concerned about her score. Her hard work and enthusiasm for the subject paid off, and she received and Outstanding.

DADA ~ A
Maisie wanted to do better in DADA, but knew she probably wasn't going to excel, either. She still managed to score within the range for an Acceptable, rather than a Poor, to her open relief, as while she'd never been the biggest fan of the subject, she knew it was important.

Herbology ~ EE
Maisie enjoyed Herbology and knew she was probably going to do well on the NEWT, as intimidating as Professor Hill could be. She made a few minor mistakes that brought her final score down to an Exceeds Expectations, but overall she still did well, and was pleased with her results.

History of Magic ~ EE
Maisie didn't love History of Magic, but she didn't dread the class like some of her schoolmates. Her good memory benefited her once again, although she also studied hard and kept a cool head during the exam, resulting in an Exceeds Expectations.

Transfiguration ~ O
Maisie as determined to really show off her talent for the subject when it came to the Transfiguration NEWT, and her hard work paid off with a splendid final score. She was very proud of herself after acing the practical self-transfiguration.

Care of Magical Creatures ~ A
Maisie enjoyed Care of Magical Creatures, but with all her studying for other courses did not have much time for it. She still pulled off an Acceptable and enjoyed her overall time during the exam, even when she messed up.

Healing ~ A
Maisie tried to push herself to do better in Healing, but the class was no longer a top priority and while she still tried, she knew she was not going to really wow anyone during the exam with her work. Her efforts were still Acceptable.

Mythology ~ O
Maisie had always loved Mythology and easily scored an Outstanding on the NEWT. She knew everything going into it and didn't have any moments of hesitation or uncertainty when it came to the work. She was not worried about her final scores in the slightest.
