QUENTIN's OWLs
Core Classes
Astronomy : A
- Quinn wasn’t the best at astronomy, but it was fair from being the worst. He had been in the club for years which helped his studying in the class.
The class wasn’t the most exciting, but he made it through the written exam with an Acceptable grade.
Charms : E
- Quinn found Charms to be relatively easy for him to produce. Though he was fair from flashy.
The Ravenclaw enjoyed the subject and was happy with his progress even into his OWL year. When it came time for his exam, he studied hard and managed to Exceed Expectations.
Defence Against the Dark Arts : A
- Defence wise, Quinn knew the material fairly well and the defensive spells he could do pretty easily. However dealing with a boggart wasn't an easy task for him.
It was the only thing that made the class hard. So when OWL examinations came about and he was required to deal with one it was a struggle.
Luckily the rest of his practical and that of the written portion gave him a high Acceptable grade.
Herbology : E
- Quinn liked plants. He liked learning about plants. Professor Hill however scared him to death. He became very cautious while working on any plant and found he relaxed more during lessons.
This transitioned to being overall prepared for his OWL exam and obtaining an overall grade of Exceeding Expectations.
History of Magic : A
- Quinn found history to be sadly boring. As such he found it hard to focus in class.
Though he did push through the boredom to study he only managed an Acceptable grade. At least it was a pass.
Potions : O
- Potions was an unexpected interest for Quinn. He came to be rather good in the subject.
As the Ravenclaw thought of it as an art he excelled landing himself an Outstanding grade come his OWL exam.
Transfiguration : E
- Quinn found transfiguration to be right up his ally. He took an interest and managed to excel at the subject. When it came time to do his practical vanishment, it came rather easily to him.
Though he did dislike the thought of hurting a kitten. Luckily no kittens were harmed, and he managed to Exceed Expectations.
Electives
Art : O
- Art was something that naturally came to Quinn. He saw life in a colorful way and was quick on picking up techniques in class.
When it came to the exam it was no surprise that he came out on top with an Outstanding grade. Not even the history of art would slow him down from an over the top grade.
Care of Magical Creatures : A
- Quinn liked learning and sketching the different creatures him class. However actually interacting with some of the more scarier creatures, wasn’t the easiest.
He tried his best to remember all the facts when it came time for his written exam and did his best on the practical.
Coming out of the exam with an Acceptable grade he couldn’t complain, sadly magical creature might not be for him.
Muggle Studies : A
- Quinn wanted to learn about muggles since his family didn’t agree it necessary to learn about them in the first place. However, there were so subjects that were far more interesting.
Thus, when it came time to do his exam, Muggle Studies was not high on the list to study. Though he had studied he’d only managed to get an Acceptable grade.
Mythology : E
- Mythology sounded interesting to Quinn and as it turns out it was more interesting then standard history.
The Ravenclaw took to the subject rather well. Studying hard, he did rather well on his written and practical portions of his exam. Thus, landing himself an Exceeding Expectations.
