Pale hooves stumbled over uneven ground, almost sending the large stallion to the ground. Korimizu was tired, he was so tired, but he couldn't stop moving, not yet. Not until he was at least reasonably sure that he was safe. Having left home merely a few days prior, full of the hope of adventure, Kori didn't know how it went so bad, so quickly.

It wasn't in these lands, at least not the ones called Soquili, where he'd encountered the stallion with bright glowing markings that were unfamiliar to him. Unfamiliar then, but unforgettable now. He hadn't even gotten a chance to introduce himself before the other was on him like a storm. Without his scales, Kori was certain he would have been beaten down into the dirt and forgotten. Or killed.

There hadn't been a point in trying to fight back, even as the older stallion tore into him, his blood bright and clashing against the colors of his coat. Kori didn't know how, or why, he'd gotten away. He'd fled to the sky and frantically flew in any direction that was away.
It was more like the other marked stallion had let him go, as opposed to him escaping. Kori felt like it was only a matter of time. There wasn't anyone nearby, but he felt like he was being chased, still being hounded.
It's why he couldn't stop, even as his exhaustion dragged at his wings and loss of blood made his legs shake.
He didn't even know where he was. But he had to find somewhere safe, someplace he could barricade and protect himself in, before he could rest.

Wandering in the middle of unfamiliar woods was not going to help him much. Kori backed up against a large tree and glanced around. He couldn't see anything, nor hear anything out of what he considered ordinary. Good a place as any to tend to the wounds on his flank, at least. Then he needed to find a source of water, even a puddle would do at this point. Someway of protecting himself. A cave where he could wall himself in with ice would be ideal, but he wasn't holding out that much hope. Not knowing the terrain here was becoming a problem.

Luckily for him, the blue cloth he had wrapped around himself had caught in the worst of the wounds, making a makeshift bandage to keep him from bleeding to death, at any rate. His left flank was covered in blood at this point. He itched with the need to clean himself up, but aside from rivers he had flown over in his haste, he hadn't seen a body of water big enough for him to clean the wounds, maybe seal them in ice until he could get to a healer of whatever sort graced these lands.

Kori shivered at the thought of keeping ice on his flank for that long. It wouldn't be good for him, but theoretically better than letting the scratches leak blood. He sighed, leaning hard against the tree as he tried to pull the cloth out of the biggest cut slowly.
