Gold Anakumath
Written by Mr Cheri
Colored by Mr Cheri

User Image

Origin of Name: The name Anakumath derives from the Meles anakuma, a Japanese badger. These badgers, known as Mujina were often given similar abilities in Japanese folklore to the racoon dog or Tanuki, and the fox. Mujina would appear as beautiful but promiscuous women, causing all manner of trouble for mortal men.

Inspiration: Hufflepuff

The Noble House of Hufflepuff is a bastion of equality and freedom, the House of Helga Hufflepuff who is quoted as saying that she would "take the lot, and teach them all." None were considered unworthy by the House's founder, but there are particular personality traits that are valued among members of the Hufflepuff House. Among these are hard work, loyalty, patience, dedication, and a particular sense of fair play. It is these qualities that make for a true and noble wizard or witch, and they are indeed fine qualities in any person or being.

Among some of the most recognized and distinguished members of Hufflepuff House are the Magizoologist Newton Scamander, Arithmancer Bridget Wenlock, and former Minister for Magic Artemisia Lufkin. Remarkably, Hufflepuff House has spawned the fewest of all dark wizards to graduate from its ranks. It is rare indeed that a former Hufflepuff will turn to the bad, and notable when it does occur. Hufflepuff House was noted during the Battle of Hogwarts, when Harry Potter faced off against the Dark Lord Voldemort, demonstrating exceptional bravery as well as unsurpassed loyalty to the cause.

Personality: If ever there was a "salt of the Earth" type dragon, that esteemed title would belong to Anakumath. She is noble, valorous, and among the most hardworking Queens one might ever hope to meet. There is never a dragon too dark for the likes of Anakumath, who genuinely believes that even the hardest hearts can be turned. There is a grain of goodness in all, and it is her quest to find it, and to nourish it.

She is a terribly sweet creature, filled to the utter brim with love and devotion. In her noble hearts, everyone deserves to be loved and cherished. Anakumath has the ability to provide the shoulder for a grieving other to cry upon, and at the same time words of encouragement, and common sense. Buck up, sweet, for the moons and stars await you! A little hard work and some determination will go a long way.

Kind to her core, she is nonetheless a stubborn creature. If she has taken it into her head to take on a cause, good luck getting her to back down. She wants nothing more than to quiet all of the hurts and pains of those around her, starting with her clutch siblings and cousins. The darklings among them will find themselves pulled close to Anakumath's beating hearts, and treasured for their incredible worth. Hush now, all will be well.

A store of deep patience resides within this Queen. It would suit her well to climb to some position of responsibility, for then she would be able to use her influence for greater good. However, that is not to say that she wishes to unseat anyone in her pursuit of fairness and equality. Rather, she would like to earn a place for herself, and grow into a role that is suitable for her. Along the way she will tend particularly to her Blue, Green, and White kin, wanting nothing so much as to sooth them, and to provide them with solace.

However, she is not a rebel. She does not look for unrest, and has a great loyalty toward her granddame, Eveleth. The proper way of things shall be observed, of course, but might she not tarry for a moment to ensure that all are well? She has a strong sense of duty, and will not shirk from anything required of her... perhaps to her own detriment. It is easy for Anakumath to disappear into the background, for she has never sought out a spotlight. Furthermore, she is quite anxious and she struggles with the attention that being a gold naturally draws.

Additionally, Anakumath can be a bit... overbearing. Enough is enough. Not everyone will take kindly to Anakumath's attempts to polish up their dark natures, nor to her efforts to turn them to her way of thinking. And indeed, it is sometimes condescending of a Queen to play house with chromatic dragons, particularly when she seems to have no intention of destroying the status quo. Yet she believes that even in a small way she can make up for that lack and will try her hardest.

Positive Traits: True, Patient, Kind
Negative Traits: Workaholic, Obsessive, Self-deprecating, Anxious

Adult Size: 42'
Physical Attributes: A small, quite round Gold, Anakumath packs a powerful punch for her size. Her wings are large for her diminutive stature, and she is rather sturdy. She will always be inclined toward plumpness, no matter how hard her rider works to rid her of any baby fat.

Additional Notes: Poor Anakumath will probably fall in love with any sly devil who makes her believe that she can change him. However, she's just as likely to fall in love for each such fellow that comes her way. Whether she ever settles down remains to be seen. In Flights, Anakumath will prefer midday, as mornings are not her friend.

Theme Song: Never Give Up by Sia
Egg: An unassuming yet largeish egg at the back of the clutch, this yellow and black egg does not seem to mind its location at all. In fact, it may very well prefer it.

Why Me? Was there ever really anyone better suited for being a strong protector than Martirae? The girl might not have been most people's pick for Hufflepuff, but Anakumath wanted her immediately. It was just so hard to come out of hiding to get her. What they have in common is an exceptional work ethic, and in fact an inclination to overwork themselves. But Marty need never fear being alone again, or having a strong supporter. This little Queen will love her to the moons and back. They are, and always will be, family.

Bronze Cadereth
Written by Uta

Origin of Name: Avada Kedavra is called the Killing Curse. It is appropraite, then, to base this dragon's name off that of a dead body, or in this case, a cadaver. The English word cadaver, which means "corpse," and derives from the Latin cadere, "to fall".

Inspiration: Avada Kedavra

The Killing Curse (Avada Kedavra) is a tool of the Dark Arts and one of the three Unforgivable Curses. It is one of the most powerful and sinister spells known to wizardkind. When cast successfully on a living person or creature the curse causes instantaneous and painless death, without any signs of violence on the body.

The only known counter-spell is sacrificial protection, which uses the power of love. However, one may dodge the green bolt, block it with a physical barrier, or by the use of Priori Incantatem. The Killing Curse is an 'unblockable' curse, thus shield charms won't defend against it. An explosion or green fire may result if the spell hits something other than a living target.

Along with the Cruciatus and Imperius curses, the Killing Curse is known as one of the most terrible and sinister curses in the wizarding world. After the Wizards' Council was reformed into the Ministry of Magic tighter restrictions were placed on the use of certain kinds of magic. The Killing Curse was deemed by the Ministry to be Dark magic and along with the Cruciatus and Imperius curses, were declared "unforgivable" in 1717, with the Killing Curse considered to be the most deadly of the three. Use of any Unforgivable curse on a human would carry the punishment of a life sentence in Azkaban.

Personality: Cadereth is the bronze that High Reaches Weyr expected to get, but going forward, will now forever need to handle. Typical of his kin, this dragon was born with a proud personality. He knows exactly who he is, what he was hatched to do, and nobody is going to stand in his way. He is a bronze of High Reaches Weyr, and he knows well that someday, the Weyr will be at his command. He has his eyes on the prize, and if his rider never thought about becoming Weyrleader, he now will think of very little else. Cadereth is not the sort of dragon to be pushed or ordered around by anyone, and those who do will find a very resilient and strong-willed dragon.

He is the sort of dragon who challenges others, including his rider. He will ask the hard questions, and he won't simply roll over and listen. He is thrilled to know that he was born on top simply due to his metallic hide, and truly believes that he is far superior to any other color -- perhaps even including golds. What is a queen, after all, but simply the meal-ticket to commanding a Weyr? Cadereth has no trouble throwing his weight around, or his color, and he is the sort of dragon who has no pity or sympathy for those he steps on to reach to the top. And rest assured, he will not just step on you, but use you. He will use you until he need nothing more to do with you, and then he'll drop you without any sense of regret. Cadereth doesn't have friends outside of his beloved rider, whom he does treasure above all else--he has objects and things, nothing more.

Remorseless in his pursuit of power, it will be up to his rider to try to keep this dragon in line. While there is some good even in Cadereth, it is often only reserved for his rider to see. He is not a squishy bronze, or the sort who has any time or interest in dallying with individuals who are a waste of space or who get in his way. Whites, greens, blues, and even some browns are nothing but tools to him, easily disposed of, and easily replaced. His fellow bronzes might win his respect, but you can best be sure, this bronze finds very few who are on his level of perceived greatness. It will be up to his rider (or some very special dragons) to break this bronze of such a view.

Honestly, Cadereth's entire end goal is power. He is a bronze who knows that he is meant for greatness, and he will stop at nothing until he achieves it. He doesn't just want any gold, but a Weyrwoman. Why waste such time on golds that have no say? He wants to rise up and lead the Weyr, and that means growing up to be a real somebody. His rider WILL become a Wingleader whether they want to or not. There is only one place that will satisfy this bronze, and that is when he is known as the Weyrleader. Somewhere. Somewhen. And sooner than later.

Cadereth knows how to play nice when it suits him, but you can bet, everything he does is done with his end goal in mind. Every web he weaves has his own best-interest at heart, or that of his riders. He has no room for anyone else in his hearts, and he will push and drag his rider along for the wild ride. If his energies can be used for the greater good, he will make a fine dragon in any Wing--but if his self-centered nature, and lack of sincerity for those he walks upon doesn't change as he ages, then he might well find life a lonely world, indeed.

Positive Traits: Proud, Challenging, Firm
Negative Traits: Remorseless, Power Hungry, Self-Centered

Adult Size: 42'
Physical Attributes: Cadereth is a large bronze, and tends to try to make himself look even larger by having his wings half-mantled as often as possible, and always carrying his head held high. He is an imposing creature, muscular, and very strong. If he can look intimidating, he will, and frequently keeps his eyes tinged with red. He's not here to play nice, and he doesn't care who knows it.

Additional Notes: Cadereth is actually terrified of death and dying. Only his rider might discover such a fear, and privately. This bronze loves only one other more than himself, and that's his rider. He will obey his rider if his rider is strong-willed enough, and he might be grudging about it, but his rider is his world. The thought of losing him to Thread will make him a fierce Threadfighter; and the thought of losing him to anyone else (be it a lover, or some other task) might well make him aggressive and over-protective.

He has no interest in flights unless it's for a gold with actual rank attached. If he flies a dragon at all, it is purely to use them for the moment -- don't be fooled in thinking he's putting any feeling behind it. Even eggs don't interest this bronze; he just wants ways to get more and more power and to make a name for himself as a true contender.

Theme Song: King of the World by War*Hall

Egg: This medium large dark pink and gold egg stands apart from the rest, barely touching two of its siblings. Whomever is inside doesn't appear to enjoy the experience.

Why Me? Cadereth gave the Candidates a long hard look, but it was Karou who reigned supreme. This dragon wanted someone with ambition, drive, and noble blood; anyone else is well beneath him. The boy's own self-centered nature also appealed to this bronze; he wants someone who knows that Pern is meant to be theirs for the taking, someone who already has confidence in droves. He doesn't need someone to rein him in, but someone who wants to rise up as he does. Cadereth believes Karou would be perfect for the role. Weyrling today, Weyrleader tomorrow.

Whether or not that's what Karou wants...well. He will want it now, because Cadereth will have it no other way.

Like rider like dragon, the two can make a pretty and charming pair when they need to; Cadereth can be kind when it's warranted, but there is hope that Karou's honorable side will at least help temper this bronze beast when he's at his worst. After all, even Cadereth knows that a Weyrleader must charm and seduce, and brute force of will isn't always the answer. Karou is useful in that regard. There's hope that this bronze's remorseful nature will be tempered by the Hold boy's propriety.

Additionally, Cadereth is a firm dragon, who did not want someone who he thought would attempt to rein him in or hold him back, or have a willpower that matched his own. He truly believes he can get away with murder around Karou, but in reality, Karou's charm, graces, and sense of nobility will allow him to keep Cadereth in check. The only question is whether or not Karou will want to.

Bronze Slidrianth

Origin of Name: When J. K. Rowling named Slytherin House, she did so after Salazar Slytherin, whose own surname came from the word 'slither'. Slither is derived from middle English slidder, which in turn originates from Old English slidrian, meaning to "slip or slide on a slope."

Inspiration: The animal associated with Slytherin House is the snake. Its House colors are green and silver.

Slytherin House was founded by its namesake, one Salazar Slytherin, around 990AD. Of all of the Hogwarts founders, Salazar Slytherin was convinced that they should teach only those who were pureblooded witches and wizards, whose ancestry was purest. Slytherin prized ambition, cunning, and pride. It is said that Slytherin House also taught the most dark witches and wizards, and that it's almost always Slytherin graduates who go to the bad. However, there are some clear examples where that stereotype does not hold true.

The legendary wizard Merlin was a Slytherin wizard who believed in helping muggles. A number of Hogwarts Headmasters and Headmistresses came from Slytherin House, as the students from Slytherin are known to possess strong leadership qualities. The portraits of those headmasters still hang in the Headmaster's office, offering advice to the current Head of Hogwarts. There have been a number of politicians who graduated from Slytherin, as well as several notable professors. Regulus Black was discovered to have died rebelling against Lord Voldemort, fighting against his dark cause in his own secretive manner.

But one of the most notable Slytherin alums was Severus Snape, Potions Master and one time Headmaster of Hogwarts. He was celebrated for his efforts as a spy against the Dark Lord Voldemort, ultimately slain by Voldemort's servant and Horcrux, Nagini. He dedicated his life to Harry Potter's protection and was remembered by Harry as a hero. Harry Potter would go on to name his son Albus Severus Potter in his honor.

Slytherin House in the modern day is not the pureblood bastion that it once was; indeed, it is noted that several half-bloods and muggleborns were allowed into Slytherin House. However, the tenants of Slytherin House remain: to assess all possibilities before making the most advantageous choice, to gain fame and fortune where possible, and to preserve the self above all else.

Personality: This creative creature will claw his way up to the top one way or another. He doesn't necessarily need to lead the Weyr, but if he did, he'd probably be deucedly good at it. He has a certain flare with his sharp, clever tongue, and is well able to charm and entice those who listen to him. He'll grow better at that very thing with time. One thing to be noted about Slidrianth is that he doesn't like being ignored, and will fall into a sulk when he feels that he's not being properly paid attention to.

Although one might assume otherwise, this bronze has a tremendous capacity to love. Admittedly, that love is spread out very thinly among very few people, but when he does love, it is with every ounce of commitment in his hearts. He would give his rider the world, if only he could, and will do everything in his small power to accomplish exactly that. His rider has his absolute and utter devotion, and if he has anything to say about it, they'll want for nothing.

He has plans for himself and for his rider. Start small, work his way up... gain as many allies as possible on the way. He would love nothing more than to be King of the World, but alas, that particular title would be terribly akin to having an enormous target on his back, and Slidrianth is a little too canny to go quite so far as that. Should he happen to fall into such a role, however, he will certainly do splendidly at it - so he would claim. But then again, Slidrianth is an arrogant beast.

He does not like risking his hide, and would toss other's in harm's way if necessary. It is a rather beautiful hide, don't you think? If he's a bit of a coward, then so be it. Better a live coward than a dead hero. He just knows that it's better to come at something from the side, to loop around to what you want. Attacking from the fore is a great way to come down with a serious case of dead. As such, he's rather brilliant when it comes to planning, and will make a fantastic tactician if he's allowed to go that route.

Slidrianth can be prone to jealousy and sulking, especially if he thinks that someone else has something that ought to be his. It's not particularly becoming, but shouldn't everything properly belong to this fabulous bronze? He comes from a noble lineage, and is certainly a worthy example of the breed. So, why doesn't everything just fall into his claws as it should? Life simply is not fair, and that's all there is to it. Naturally, this revelation inclines Slidrianth to even the odds, even if it means cheating... just a little.

Positive Traits: Clever, Ambitious, Charming, Dramatic, Shrewd
Negative Traits: Scheming, Arrogant, Cowardly, Self-Preserving, Sulky

Adult Size: 35'
Physical Attributes: Delicate and lovely for a bronze, Slytherin is absolutely the smallest size possible for his color. His lines are quite elegant, the blood of Eveleth apparent in him. As befits a dragon of High Reaches Weyr! He has large wings that catch the light splendidly, and allow him to swoop around dramatically if he so chooses.

Additional Notes: His hearts are going to be difficult to obtain, though once accomplished, he will be utterly and completely devoted to his one true partner. Although he does not seem to have a preference on the color of his true love's hide, he does expect that they will be the very best of their color, whatever that may be. He may choose to participate in Flights or he may prefer to be the object of them... or simply sit them out, depending on the mood.

Theme Song: Not the Villain by S J Tucker
Egg: A large egg in the center of the clutch in silver and green, featuring what appears to be a tunnelsnake. The egg gives very little away, yet seems to be considering whomsoever approaches it.

Why Me? Dynzrak possesses the fire that Slidrianth lacks, although they both share a huge helping of ambition. Simply put, Slidrianth sees in Dynzrak the strength that he needs to succeed where he wishes to go. But each have much to offer the other. Although Dynzrak has never been the prince, he will now be a bronzerider, inheriting the respect of his peers at High Reaches Weyr. They can rise up as high as they want to together. Slidrianth needs someone to truly love and protect him. Someone clever, cutting, and powerful, all of which his Dynzrak is. It's somewhat inconvenient that Dynzrak doesn't already know how to be a prince, but they can work on that - it seems that the man was already learning on his own. How clever!

Bronze Pellereth
Written by Mr. Cheri
Colored by demon_pachabel

User Image

Origin of Name: Pellerath is actually taken from the incantation, Expelliarmus. It is from the Latin pellere, meaning to drive. The spell can be translated as ex out pellere to drive arma weapon. In other words, to drive out a weapon, or to disarm someone.

Inspiration: Expelliarmus

Expelliarmus, the incantation for the disarming charm, is recognizable first by its red light. The strength of the spell can be gleaned by the power of the light expelled from the wand. Some believe that this charm was created by Merlin himself, though that is only one going theory. Certainly, it has been known to be used throughout Wizarding history, and is particularly effective during wizard duels. One famous practitioner of the disarming charm is Harry Potter, for whom the charm became his signature spell. The strength of his disarming charm was such that through the bond Priori Incantatem between his wand and Lord Voldemort's he was able to reflect the killing curse.

Personality: This courageous bronze has been a hell raiser from the start. He is extremely opinionated, and rushes to voice that opinion whenever he feels it necessary. Spoiler: he always feels that it's necessary. He doesn't appreciate those who think that bullying others can win them the day, and will be a staunch protector and defender of the small. Pellereth does not have the best opinion of the hierarchy at his home Weyr, although he certainly respects those in charge on a personal and professional level. He just doesn't feel that it's fair or right to judge someone by the color of their hide.

Certainly he has any number of siblings and cousins who are a disgrace to their color, while others of a seemingly lesser birth are a true credit to their kind. His sense of justice cannot stomach the current state of affairs, but that doesn't mean that he would just upend everything to change the world. He will, however, bend or break rules when and where it suits him. ... How typical of a bronze, really. But he feels entitled to break rules when they are so clearly wrong.

He has a powerful need to nurture and protect those who are in need of assistance, and he will provide the strong, wide wings that they require - if he cannot shelter them, then he will stand before whatever threats might lurk, ready and willing to both denounce such cowardice and to fight if necessary. For Pellereth is constantly vigilant, a trait he must have learned in the egg, while sharing the sand with so many schemers. He cannot abide cruelty, and will direct his true hatred toward those who display it.

Of course, Pellereth is far from perfect, and has several... weak spots. For one thing, he's terribly bad at being charming. He tries so hard, but he also fails equally hard. He's just simply an awkward young male, and doesn't possess the silver tongues that a number of his brothers have. It will be up to others to see past that to the true-hearted bronze who lurks beneath such a guise. For he is unwavering in his loyalty and utter devotion, when it has been secured. Unfortunately, he's also quite a jealous beast, and does not at all like to share.

Positive Traits: Valiant, Daring, Vigilant
Negative Traits: Jealous, Rule-Breaking, Awkward

Adult Size: 35'
Physical Attributes: Although small of stature, Pellereth certainly has the body of an athlete. There is no mistaking the corded muscle that holds close to a slender frame. He is sturdy, compact, and has his moments in the looks department. A bit of an average boy, but who says appearances are everything?

Additional Notes: Pellereth will never like or appreciate Caderath. He despises what the dragon stands for, and will always be his deadly enemy. Apart from that, while he distrusts some of his siblings and cousins, he does not have strong feelings one way or the other. Except, of course, for the beautiful green ladies! The golden Queens might have his eye from time to time, and he has been known to take note of a choice fellow or two. Really, he's just... awkward where love is concerned, and doesn't even know where to start. Plenty of room for discovery in the future!

Theme Song: Indestructible by Disturbed
Egg: A large striped tan egg who both shelters and leans against several others. This egg is not here to play around, thank you.

Why Me? Ielin is the hero that Pellereth needs, although Pellereth is, in his own view, less than what his rider deserves. He knew in his hearts that Ielin was and would be his own, for all that several of his clutchmates had caught the other's eye. In the end, they are both noble in their rough hewn way, filling in all of the empty places inside where there was no one before to be their perfect partner. Ielin need never again fear that there is no one who might understand him, or be there for him. Pellereth will be his truest and best friend, and cannot wait to discover what adventures they might embark on.

Bronze Nevidenth
Written by Uta
Colored by Uta

User Image

Origin of Name: Nevidenth's name comes from the Slovenian word neviden, which means Invisibility.

Inspiration: Cloak of Invisibility

The Cloak of Invisibility is a magical artifact used to render the wearer invisible, and one of the fabled Deathly Hallows. In "The Tale of the Three Brothers", it was the third and final Hallow created, bestowed to Ignotus Peverell, supposedly by Death himself (whom had the cloak in his possession at that time) after the wizard requested, as his bounty, for something with the power to hide him if he were to go place to place without being followed by Death. According to legend, whoever united it with the other two Hallows (the Elder Wand and the Resurrection Stone) would become the Master of Death.

It was the only known invisibility cloak that would not fade with age and would provide everlasting protection to the wearer, something no normal invisibility cloak could provide. As such, it was the only Hallow known to have been successfully passed down from generation to generation since Ignotus' time. In 1991, it passed to the possession of Harry Potter who used it to great success in the Second Wizarding War and resolved to pass it down to his own children.

Personality: Nevidenth is a dragon who is, above all else, mischievous at his heart. He might be a bronze dragon, but that doesn't mean he doesn't know how to have a good time. This dragon might well gain the reputation of being a bit of a troublemaker, especially as a young dragon. His mischief doesn't come from a place of malice, not at all! He simply is terribly curious, and his need to know often means he's sticking his muzzle into places where it doesn't belong. Where does that tunnel lead? They should go find out! What's the worst that could happen anyway?

Unfortunately, his healthy dose of curiosity can easily turn into him being nosy. He wants to know everybody's business, and while he's not often a gossip, he certainly will poke and prod into others affairs without asking. He just wants to know! Rules? Well... you can bet this dragon isn't going to play by them. If someone tells him not to do something, you can bet he'll turn around and do just that...or try. It'll be up to his rider to keep the bronze in check, or at least, reason with him why the rule is there, and why it's maybe not such a good idea. Little offenses might seem harmless as a Hatchling but breaking rules during more intense lessons such as Between training or as a wingrider could result in someone getting hurt or killed.

Ah, but there is also much good about Nevidenth. This bronze is a loyal creature. He will dedicate himself to High Reaches Weyr, his wingmates, and his clutchsibs (and clutchcousins) as if they are all a cut above the rest. To his rider, there is none who is so wonderful or so perfect. Those his rider treasures will also be cherished by this bronze. Family, in particular, is important to this dragon and he will try to stay in touch with all his clutchmates even after Graduation.

Nevidenth will be a pillar of support among his clutchmates (and eventually his future wingmates), and he will be there to keep an eye out for each and every one. Sometimes his nosy nature means he finds out about someone's heartache or hurt feelings; you can bet this bronze will be there for them to lean upon during their time of need. Or perhaps someone is feeling left out and lonely. This dragon will stand up for them, and keep them company. He will protect those who need protecting, and not hesitate to use his size, strength, and color to crush those who might need to be put in their place.

Positive Traits: Protective, Curious, Loyal
Negative Traits: Nosy, Mischievous, Rule Breaker

Adult Size: 39'
Physical Attributes: Nevidenth is on the smaller side for a bronze, but that doesn't seem to let him down. He is sleek and svelte, and seems to be more lengthy than bulky. But that doesn't mean he can't take a hit. He is a bit faster and speedier than some of the more heavier bronzes, but his stamina will suffer if he tries to put on too much of a show.

Additional Notes: Nevidenth will love to wrap around his loved ones. Twining tails, putting a wing over, curling up like a giant cuddle bug--this bronze will never outgrow such a need.

When it comes to Flights, this bronze will enjoy the chase immensely. He is no heart-breaker though, at least, he'll try not to be. Getting him to settle might be tricky, but once he does find his one and only, you can bet his loyalty and devotion will be secure.

Theme Song: Safe and Sound by Capital Cities
Egg: Sparkling Silver & Grey Egg

Why Me? Yurastar might be unlucky, but now he's got a bronze to help keep an eye out for him--and make no mistake, this bronze will. Part of what drew Nevidenth to Yurastar was how unlucky the poor man happened to be! It was clear he needs someone to counter-balance all that clumsiness and unfortunate happenstance. Now, where Yurastar might fall, a bronze dragon will be there to catch him...or at least help him up. Where Yurastar might come close to the edge of danger, this bronze will be there to tug him away from doom. Furthermore, Yurastar's optimism and resilient nature works well with Nevidenth's endless curiosity and adventurous streak. They'll both have new experiences to look forward to, not alone, but together.

As for being called a Repeat, Nevidenth will have none of that. There is nothing about Yurastar that is like anyone else. He is unique, he is wonderful, and he is all Nevidenth's. There couldn't possibly be someone as loving, as wonderful, as perfect Yurastar. No, he is his own man, and they will make their own life. He might have been fighting for the limelight in his large family, but here and now, he can shine.

Together, the two will be able to make a name for themselves at High Reaches. Yurastar might not have the drive or gumption, but rest assured, Nevidenth is still a bronze. Where His might not be brave enough to risk his life for a stranger, Nevidenth is, and he will push this man outside of his comfort zones. On that same token, Yurastar's honest nature will ensure that Nevidenth isn't breaking too many rules. Provided, of course, he actually speaks up and keeps his dragon in check. There's an opportunity of growth for while Nevidenth is not a fierce or aggressive dragon, from time to time, he too will need to be kept in check lest he bring down heaps of trouble on both their heads.

Bronze Iweth
Written by Uta
Colored by Uta

User Image

Origin of Name: In the African language Yoruba, the word for book is iwe. This bronze has a rider who loves to write, and is based off a Harry Potter bookstore. How could this name not be a more perfect fit?

Inspiration: Flourish and Blotts Bookseller is a bookshop in North Side, Diagon Alley, about halfway down the street on the left hand side. Established in 1654, it is where most Hogwarts students purchase their schoolbooks. The shop is filled with shelves stacked to the ceiling.

The shop has had a few problems with certain books, such as The Invisible Book of Invisibility which cost them a great deal of money though they never found them, and The Monster Book of Monsters which tore each other up as well as biting the manager when he tried to get one out.

The shop holds occasional book-signings, such as when Gilderoy Lockhart stopped by in 1992. Flourish and Blotts also runs a service, which enables purchasers to buy books via owl delivery. They also take advance orders for books that are in high demand, such as The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore.

Personality: Iweth is a dragon who knows what life is all about. Debonair, this dragon seems to have a natural charm and air about him. He walks with all the confidence his color affords, and knows exactly how to charm those around him. A sweet word for a green, reverence for the golds, and even an ability to sweet-talk the boys! Honestly, there are very few who don't get along with Iweth--he's a class act. Charm oozes from him, and he will never be caught fumbling over any social situation.

There's no doubting that this dragon is cultured and knowledgeable. He sees himself above the pettiness of most politics and certainly isn't entirely traditional for his color. Golds are gorgeous, but bronzes are handsome, browns divine, blues lovely, greens precious, and whites are darling. He has no real ambition to rise up the rank ladder. That said, while he may not be keen on it, he's doesn't look down on any of the systems in place and will step back to allow those who want to rise up one less competitive bronze. He understands roles and how different cultures and outlooks make for a better Pern. While he would be happily comfortable taking orders from a green at Western Weyr, he also isn't going to object when metallics do the leading at High Reaches. Each Weyr has their own community, their own rules, and who is he to object? If anything, he finds differences fascinating and wants to learn more about why each area does what it does. He's a flexible bronze, who loves to learn, and to use that knowledge to his advantage--and he'd never think of being rude. He's far too considerate for that!

Iweth wouldn't think of offending others around him. If he's a guest, he will be nothing but kind to his hosts. If he's the host, he will be a gracious one, and ensure those around him are well. This bronze treats everyone with nothing but respect and kindness, and is a true gentleman.

But Iweth is far from perfect. The bronze is cultured and classy but also a bit fanciful. He daydreams much of his day away, and is always thinking of more outrageous and outlandish ideas. He dreams of sweeping a gold or green off her wings during a flight, and finding some great love affair; but he'd just as easily think of being swept up by the Weyrleader's bronze and swooning in such rugged arms. Or maybe he and his rider somehow manage to be the only riders left during Threadfall, and they must be prepared to handle the entire eight our Fall by themselves, saving not just their Weyr, but Pern. His imagination is prone to running wild, and he will absolutely relish such ideas. The more outrageous the better--for this bronze truly loves a grand story.

Iweth is also very dramatic. When he's wounded, it's not just a small cut, but the worst wound to ever appear. Death is surely close at hand, and he can feel his hearts slowing down. When he's corrected by the Weyrlingmaster or even his rider, he might well bemoan his idiocy. If a pretty lady or handsome boy gives him a smile he might very well swoon. Oh, but this bronze doesn't do anything simply. He might get along very well with the more dramatic dragons of his clutch and add fuel to their flame. Everything is sweeping motions with this bronze; every moment is at the cusp of a grand new adventure and ready to turn into some classic fairytale.

Positive Traits: Cultured, Considerate, Debonair
Negative Traits: Dramatic, Fanciful, Reactive

Adult Size: 40'

Physical Attributes: This bronze dragon is on the smaller side of the spectrum, but he doesn't seem to mind. He is of seemingly perfect proportions, not too heavy, not too small, and is a testament to good breeding. He is prone to gaining weight if he's not active enough, but weyrling training and Drills will likely keep most of that chub off. If he were to be wounded or grounded, he might well plump up a bit quickly.

Additional Notes: Thie bronze absolutely loves a good story and oohs, and aahs over every Flight that happens anywhere near the Weyr. If he's not an actual active participant, he's also happy to swoon over the happy couples. He's never particularly jealous--love is love is love is love, isn't that right? Boys, girls, golds, greens, and all in between are fair game for this romantic heart.

….sometimes he has a tendency to eat paper or hidework. He knows he shouldn't but.. every now and then a bit of fiber just sounds nice. Theo had best keep an eye on some of his manuscripts.

Theme Song: Don't Rain On My Parade by Barbara Streisand
Egg: Bright Red Mystery Egg 12

Why Me? Theo and Iweth were made for one another. At first glance, they appear to be kindred spirits. How could this bronze not be drawn by such a poetic man? He absolutely adores the creativity that flows from Oseathiol and will certainly encourage him to continue to write and find beauty in everything. In fact, he'll likely try to give ideas, and likely only add to the man's romantic view of the world. Iweth would love to be his muse, but if not, he will happily gush over Theo's works. Where the man felt he couldn't handle having fans, he now has a superfan in that of his bronze! Never again need he feel like his prose and poetry aren't well received; this bronze will encourage him to keep writing and creating every day.

Ah, but Iweth will be able to help support Theo in other ways, too. Where Theo is known to be bumbling and sometimes only dreams of having conversations with others, Iweth will encourage him to rise up. His debonair attitude will be there to help His navigate such tricky waters--and rest assured, Iweth definitely a bronze who knows how to lay on the charm! Where his rider might struggle, Iweth will talk him through the best approach, and won't hesitate to help ensure Theo comes off as nothing but a gentleman. Where he may lack confidence, Iweth certainly does not! Any faintheartedness that Theo feels will be tempered by the bronze. Iweth will buoy him and ensure they get through the situation with grace and class.

On the other hand, Theo will be forced to find himself with a little bit more of a backbone. Classy as this bronze is, Iweth is prone to dramatic fits, and might well need his rider to help pull him out of them, or at least talk him down from the ledge. If he doesn't, they might find more trouble heaped upon them, or worse, as weyrling training progresses, find themselves at fatal risk. A dragon panicking or getting dramatic during Between lessons, or Threadfall, could spell all sorts of trouble and put them, or their wingmates, at risk. The two will challenge one another in that regard. Both Theo and Iweth will need to try to find a balance, as weyrling training and Threadfall are no treat.

Brown Taoloth
Written by Uta
Colored by Stella cinere

User Image

Origin of Name: Taoloth's name is inspired by the Sesotho language. This African language has a word for "control" which is taolo, from which this dragon's name is derived.

Inspiration: Imperio.

The Imperius Curse (Imperio) is a tool of the Dark Arts, and is one of the three Unforgivable Curses. It is one of the most powerful and sinister spells known to wizardkind. When cast successfully, the curse places the victim completely under the caster's control, though a person with exceptional strength of will is capable of resisting it.

The fact that the curse can be defended against makes it unique amongst the Unforgivable Curses. Additionally, unlike the other Unforgivables, being subjected to the Imperius Curse — when adequately cast — is not an unpleasant experience. The victim of an Imperius Curse is placed in a calm, trance-like state in which all feeling of responsibility and anxiety is banished.

After the first Wizarding War, many Death Eaters, such as Lucius Malfoy, Corban Yaxley, Walden Macnair, Amycus and Alecto Carrow, claimed that they had served under Lord Voldemort only because of the Imperius Curse. While their claims were accepted, the Ministry assigned several personnel to determine who was truly under the curse and who was lying to escape punishment. However, they were not perfect in capturing deception. Malfoy, Macnair, and several others still eluded justice under the cover of the lie.

Personality: Oh, look at this precious little brown! So small, so delicate, so adorable. Yes, that's exactly what Taoloth wants you to think! He isn't a threat, he isn't an enemy, he is just the sweetest, cutest, most precious little beast. And yet, behind that sweet, small, soft, exterior is a dragon who knows exactly what he wants, and exactly how to get it!

Manipulative perhaps sums this brown up best. Taoloth is the sort of dragon who will do whatever he has to do to ensure he gets what he wants. In some cases, that means buttering someone up, and then looking at them with bright purple-green eyes in hopes that they'll help him with this task; or maybe, as he's older, he just needs to swish his tail just like so, and do a little heavy-flirting. Honestly, Taoloth is the sort of dragon who seems to so genuine and sweet, that unless you really get to know him (or look at his circle of friends) you won't see that you're being played like a fiddle until it's well too late. His rider is well aware of his brown's desire to be the dragon in charge, and to pull all the strings; whether or not that's tolerated, or clamped down, depends entirely upon his rider!

When Taoloth says to jump, you do so willingly, and in many cases, before you realize what exactly you're doing. Oh, this brown doesn't always get his way. Those with strong enough will-power might well see him for what he truly is -- a great deceiver -- but the honey that comes from him is so sweet that many have difficulty seeing him for the trouble he actually is! When Taoloth wants something, he will get it.... even if it takes Turns.

Yes, this dragon is patient. Often, this is a good train. It means he has no trouble dealing with clutchmates who don't quite grasp concepts as quickly as he does; or that he can wait as long as he needs to ensure a situation goes the way he envisions it. Not everything happens swiftly, after all. His patience is a balm in case his rider is ever lacking any, and it well can be use for good.

Unfortunately, Taoloth is the sort of brown who just wants to be in charge. Part of him regrets he was not born a gold, or even a bronze, but he will work with what he was given without complaint. While he likes the idea of power, as he grows he will come to realize that he is not the sort who wants to be in charge in the obvious ways; no, he wants to pull the strings. He will strive to become a Wingsecon or Wingleader, but would prefer to befriend the Weyrleader than to usurp the role. He is clever, and smart, and can change the world with his forked tongue as opposed to bulk size and direct commands.

He is a ernest creature, though, and a hard worker. If his rider can keep him in line, which might always be a bit of a fight, he can be relied upon to follow duties and tasks assigned to him. He likes to see plans come together, and certainly is the sort of brown who doesn't hesitate to take charge of any situation that has room for him to maneuver. Even against larger dragons, or metallics, Taoloth is a brown who likes to have control in everything. And if he can't get it...well, just wait. He will.

Positive Traits: Disciplined, Patient, Ernest
Negative Traits: Controlling, Deceitful, Manipulative

Adult Size: 30'
Physical Attributes: Though he is small for a brown, he is sleek, and less bulky than some of his siblings. That doesn't mean he doesn't know how to throw his weight around! Besides, his delicate size can only better get him to manipulate him into giving him what he needs; a flick of a tail here, a limp there, or whatever else he needs to do to get him what he wants!

He is particularly graceful for a brown, and knows how to work with what he's been given!

Additional Notes: Taoloth might seem small and delicate, but rest assured, he's the one in charge. No matter who he winds up chasing, this dragon is definitely the one who is going to be in charge! He doesn't seem to have a preference for male or female, so long as he's the one giving the orders.

Theme Song: Control by Halcey
Egg: This medium large purple and yellow egg leans back against two of its siblings. Those who pass by it may feel rather drawn to it.

Why Me? Tahirah is the sort of woman Taoloth understands. Her manipulative nature sang to his hearts, and, in a way, he knows that she will see through his deception with ease. She is one of the few who will see him for what he truly is, and that is something he can respect. Her drive for leadership also calls to him; surely, she will help bring him closer to the control he craves, and perhaps, one day, they will both get what they seek. She needs a strong dragon to get her to the top, and he needs someone who won't hold them back.

Taoloth isn't a terrible creature, though. He will chase away her anxieties when they surface, and remind her that she has nothing to fear with him by her side. His love for her is true. Furthermore, the woman has enough willpower that she will be able to keep Taoloth in line when his need for control flares. Their relationship may not be one of tenderness, but it is one of mutual respect and understanding.

Brown Leoniath
Written by Mr Cheri
Colored by demon_pachabel

User Image

Origin of Name: Leoniath originates from the Greek name Leonidas, meaning lion. King Leonidas I of Sparta was one of the 300 Spartans at Thermopylae who gave his life in a heroic battle against King Xerxes of Persia's massive army. The choke point where the 300 fought alongside 700 Thespians was narrow enough that Leonidas and his men were able to hold off the Persian army for two days. The battle ended in a Persian victory, but it would be short lived. The following year saw a Grecian victory, with Xerxes having lost many men in the intervening months. The bravery of the 300 is legendary.

Although there is no archaeological evidence to support the practice, it was believed that Ancient Spartans had the practice of sorting their children in a manner akin to lions - the strong would survive, the weak perish. Much like the lion who serves as the Gryffindor standard, Spartans were renowned for their bravery and prowess. Every male Spartan was expected to become a warrior, and only if he died in battle would he be buried with honor. Women who died in childbirth were considered to have achieved the same honor - a surprisingly progressive perspective from an otherwise patriarchal society.

Inspiration: Gryffindor

"Where dwell the brave at heart, their daring, nerve and chivalry set Gryffindors apart."

The House of Godric Gryffindor, those who sit at this table are fierce, proud, and noble. Some might claim that they are also pigheaded, arrogant, and stubborn. It is to be noted that Harry Potter himself was a member of this House - and although Harry was especially brave, he was not particularly good at following rules. That reckless daring is a common Gryffindor trait, however certainly not universal! After all, for all of her bravery, Hermione Granger was the brightest witch of her age, and would have done very well in Ravenclaw House.

Although many among the Gryffindor House show their ferocity openly, it is not always obvious that the denizens of Gryffindor are bold. Bravery, after all, can take many forms, and we all have our own demons that we must face. It is notable that there have been dark wizards and witches from Gryffindor House - unlike Hufflepuff House, it certainly has its fair share of villains. Perhaps that pride might play a part, as much like Slytherins, Gryffindors seem to possess a need to prove themselves.

Personality: Nobody ever told Leoniath that he couldn't accomplish anything. ... Or rather, if they did, he didn't listen. There is no barrier that he cannot smash through, and no challenge too great for this Brown! He is patently incapable of feeling fear in a sensible manner. What might terrify others will buoy Leoniath. However, that is not to say that he is never afraid. Rather, he responds to fear like a junky. He's a bit thrill addicted, ready to rush into battle at a moment's notice.

He might not be a Bronze, but he is mighty. He is quite large for a Brown, and well aware of his stature. If he could cover all of Pern with his wings, he would. For indeed, this boy is full of nobility and has a powerful need to protect the weak among his clutchmates. There is nothing that he would enjoy more than being the leader of an army, and he totally expects that he and his will rise to the role of Wingleader, if not one day Weyrleader!

One thing that he has never enjoyed is being ordered around. He knows that it is necessary to listen to his superiors, on some level, but he certainly doesn't like it. Additionally, if he feels like he's right and they're wrong, he's very likely to simply follow his own star. Good luck convincing him that he is being bullheaded, as he believes that his instincts are nearly infallible. When he's forced to face the fact that he is just as capable of mistakes as anyone else, he has a tendency to be very sullen.

Still, Leoniath has good hearts. He adores his siblings for the most part, and is a pleasant dragon most of the time. He has a bit of a romantic soul, and wants to find himself a forever love. His deepest desire is to find a partner with whom he can go into battle, and he'll stop at nothing to prove to that other that he is worthy of love. He is prone to grand gestures, and needs to be told when to stop. Granted, he's not especially smooth, for all of that. Still, his hearts are in the right place... most of the time.

Positive Traits: Daring, dashing, fearless
Negative Traits: Defiant, reckless, proud

Adult Size: 42'
Physical Attributes: A muscular dragon with broad shoulders and a deep chest, Leoniath is probably among the largest Brown dragons on Pern. He is a handsome boy, and knows it, the b*****d.

Additional Notes: Leoniath will only Chase a lady or gentleman that he has feelings for. In his heart of hearts, he wants an OTP - he doesn't care whether they are male or female, but he definitely doesn't want to settle for anything less than a full partner. He will be as fierce in love as he is in Threadfighting. He can be very devoted indeed.

Theme Song: The Phoenix by Fall Out Boy
Egg: This large brightly colored egg stands off to the side, its bold colors matching an equally bold personality! Those who approach may find themselves nearly bowled over by the eager soul within.

Why Me? Sylyas and Leoniath share a temper in common, there is no denying that. However, Leoniath posses a sense of nobility that will be good for Sylyas, who clearly just hasn't been in the right... claws. Leoniath will not hear of his rider's low self-esteem. Why should the most wonderful man in all of Pern think so little of himself? But it's quite fine... Leoniath thinks well enough of both of them to account for that. The Brown could do with a dose of humility to balance him out. Yet their brave, loyal hearts are meant to be as one, and the dragon will never let Sylyas forget that he has the most stalwart companion forever and always.

Brown Eith
Written by Mr Cheri
Colored by ShinosBee

User Image

Origin of Name: Eith is derived from Dutch eis, meaning requirement.

Inspiration: Room of Requirement

Called by many names by many people, the room is sometimes the Come and Go Room or the Room of Hidden Things. More properly, the Room is the Room of Requirement. Simply put, the Room becomes whatever one most requires of it. However, one cannot simply stumble upon the room without desperately needing something. If something is wished for three times, the Room appears - thus when Albus Dumbledore was in dire need of a washroom, he found a room full of chamber pots.

It is in this Room, under the aspect of The Room of Hidden Things that Voldemort hid one of his horcruxes, Rowena's lost diadem. The Room of Hidden things is also where Draco worked to fix the broken vanishing cabinets, and where Harry hid Professor Snape's potions book. The Room has housed Dumbledore's Army in its two iterations - first a club, and then a resistance force led by Neville Longbottom and Ginny Weasley. It is not apparent whether the fiendfyre that destroyed the diadem also destroyed or damaged the room in any meaningful way... but suffice it to say, it has played a major role in the Harry Potter series.

Unless one needs the Room for exactly the same purpose, they might open the door to never find anyone else. Thus, Harry never accidentally discovered Draco, who never accidentally discovered him. However, Sybill Trelawney did have a similar purpose to Draco, and thus came close to uncovering his activities. The mysterious nature of the room is controlled by the ability of the subject to wish desperately (and quite clearly) for what they need. For example, Neville Longbottom was known to be excellently skilled at making the Room provide whatever he might need. It is that ability, in fact, that creates a tunnel to Hogsmeade, where Dumbledore's Army obtain information and provisions from Aberforth Dumbledore.

Personality: Eith is excellently good at being whatever is needed at any given time. It's an art really, and he's been practicing it since he was shelled. He can be a comedian if necessary, but if the situation calls for a hero, then he's there. If he feels like everything is swinging a little too much in one direction, he might just play the devil's advocate just to swing it back to center. For there is nothing Eith loves more than an even keel. However, that being said, he does possess a real sense of vision. He dreams big, often viewing the world not as it is, but as it could be.

This brown has been a charmer since the beginning, for all that he kept it close to himself. The last thing he'd want to do is steal someone's thunder. Even if he and his are absolutely worthy of it. It just wouldn't be gracious. After all, he's a very talented fellow, and a little humility will go a long way. However, that talent comes with a price. As he's quite changeable himself, he is exceptionally dependent upon his rider for stability. Not strength, for he certainly possesses that, but just a safe place to rest his head.

A bonafide chameleon, this boy will be a handful for his rider, especially as he starts to notice how attractive so many of his siblings, cousins, and fellow dragons in general are. He enjoys the finer things in life, and that certainly isn't confined to food or drink. Truth be told, he does tend more toward having a hoarding personality than toward flitting on and off various weyrledges. He would so enjoy possessing items that his rider might acquire for him, and may even sneak off with some things of his own, just to spice things up a bit.

Deep down, he does have good hearts. He's just a collector who loves all things beautiful. It wouldn't be too hard for him to find himself falling desperately in love with something that he cannot have and pining terribly for its lack. Every item represents something special to Eith, and he feels certain that he might be of great use to his rider. ... If only he can figure out where he left that dratted map!

Positive Traits: Creative, Charming, Dynamic, Astute
Negative Traits: Hedonistic, Inconstant, Idealistic, Codependent

Adult Size: 36'
Physical Attributes: A handsome Brown with striking markings and splendid proportions. While not the largest of his color, he is certainly more than capable. His stamina will be higher than average in Threadfall, and he'll notably be capable of sustaining flame longer than average.

Additional Notes: This brown is a free thinking fellow, and will not constrain himself in terms of lovers. He is whatever you need him to be, baby! Even if that's nothing at all. He'll find himself at home in a myriad of situations, preferring to be surrounded by the company of his fellows, but more than capable of tackling things on his own. If he falls in love, it will be of his own choosing, and may be influenced by his rider's emotional ties.

Theme Song: Karma Chameleon by Culture Club
Egg: Speckled Aquamarine Egg - Mystery #20

Why Me? Of all of the Candidates on the sands there was one heart that stood out to Eith the most. One heart that had, for the longest time, felt so unwanted and unwelcome. His dearest Andrestia is the most precious gem of all, and he wants nothing so much as he desires to protect her and to cherish her for the pearl beyond price that she truly is. He can scarcely believe that she has suffered so much from rejection in life, for she is a clever, brave girl who tries to do what is right. She could never fail him, and he hopes to do right by her. Although he doesn't always quite know what right is, he hopes to learn from his Andrestia how to become a strong independent dragon. He is idealistic, but suffers from a lack of push, and perhaps her strong qualities can help to guide him in the right direction. Together, they can achieve more than the sum of their parts.

Brown Kaloth
Written by Uta
Colored by -_Wish of Tevarae_-

User Image

Origin of Name: As this brown is based on the sorting hat, it only makes sense to have him named after one as well. Kalo is the word for hat in Cebuano, an Austronesian language

Inspiration: The Sorting Hat

The Sorting Hat is a sentient hat at Hogwarts that magically determines which of the four school Houses each new student belongs most to. These four Houses are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. The Sorting Hat originally belonged to Godric Gryffindor, one of the founders of Hogwarts. It normally stays in the Headmaster's office until it is needed.

The hat is battered and old; it's patched, frayed, and extremely dirty. In order to speak and sing, a tear along the brim opens like a mouth. It speaks to the wearer inside of the hat with a small, quiet voice, using Legilimency to interpret their thoughts and respond to them. After a time of consideration, the hat announces its choice aloud for all to hear, and the student joins the selected house. The moment of consideration varies in length, from over five minutes (known as "hatstall" ) to less than a second.

The Sorting Hat is notorious for refusing to admit it has made a mistake in its sorting of a student. On those occasions when Slytherins behave altruistically or selflessly, when Ravenclaws flunk all their exams, when Hufflepuffs prove lazy yet academically gifted, and when Gryffindors exhibit cowardice, the Hat steadfastly backs its original decision. On balance, however, the Hat has made remarkably few errors of judgement over the many centuries it has been at work

Personality: .Kaloth is the type of brown every Weyr wants and needs. He is, above all else, a dutiful creature. He knows why he was hatched, why he is here, and what his purpose is. He is here to fight Thread, to save Pern, and to ensure that life on Pern goes on. He's the sort of brown who was born prepared to work, and he knows that duty comes above all else. Everyone in the Weyr has their place, their use, and he is going to make sure that he and his rider are doing their part to make sure the great Weyr Machine runs smoothly.

Kaloth is a dragon who is judgmental and a bit fussy. On the one hand, this works out well for High Reaches Weyr. Everyone has their place, and their role to fill. He is the sort of dragon who knows that certain things must get done to achieve a goal or mission. He spends much of his time quietly judging the world. Well, if so-and-so had done a dive instead of a roll she wouldn't have wound up threadscored; if so-and-so had picked to rise yesterday instead of today, her beloved would be here to chase; if that person had only worn warmer clothes, they wouldn't be complaining about how cold it was. The brown doesn't mean to judge, and is polite enough to keep his thoughts to himself or his rider, but it simply comes as second nature. He's not trying to be cruel, he just believes he knows best.

Kaloth edges more on the traditionalist side for a brown. As he likes everything to be in their place, the traditional roles in High Reaches appeal to this brown. Everyone has their place based on the color of dragon they Impressed. Everyone knows what they're supposed to do, where they're supposed to be, at any given moment; the workers, the riders, the crafters. It makes things easy, to sort each one in their perfect place. Not because one is better than the other, but because it means everyone has a place to belong. No one is left confused. This brown is a brown who likes order, especially if means that they can better do their duty.

This brown is a bit particular. He likes routine. He likes tradition. He likes everyone being in their place. He doesn't like choas or mess, but order. Perhaps his saving grace from turning into a fiend, though, is how much understanding this brown dragon has.

He has big hearts, and knows that though he likes things to be in their boxes, life doesn't always work that way. Some people might not fit where they were first placed; some greenriders have more ambition in their pinky than a bronzerider. Some bronzeriders aren't dutiful or don't have any desire to lead or help bring peace. Some abuse their position of power, while others want nothing more than to be someone, somewhere else. This brown will listen to their woes, and even if he doesn't agree, even if he doesn't entirely understand, it is one moment where he will keep his judgment in check. He might be traditionalist, but he certainly isn't a bully or cruel.

Additionally, he's known to be a very friendly and sociable dragon. He genuinely likes others, no matter their color or position. He likes to be around his family, likes to be around his clutchmates, and genuinely enjoys how easy it is to be sociable at the Weyr. One never lacks for company, and every heart has something of worth and value within. Different they all might be, Kaloth knows they are all one big family, meant to come together to defeat the world's greatest enemy.

Positive Traits: Understanding, Sociable, Dutiful
Negative Traits: Judgmental, Traditional, Particular

Adult Size: 32'
Physical Attributes: Kaloth is a brown dragon who almost looks a bit tapered. If there was a pear shape for a dragon, then this one would be it. He's definitely a bit wider in girth on his legs and tail and a little bit trimmer up top. On the one hand, he sits up nicely balanced upon his tail, and has powerful take offs from the ground. On the other, his stamina suffers a bit from the extra weight, and he's not as dexterous on wing as one might think a smaller brown could be!

Additional Notes: Kaloth is a dragon who has a fondness for cloth and clothing. He wants his straps to be of the softest leather, and his rider to have the most quality wherhide available. It's not because he's vain--it just feels much better than buying things on the cheap! As a weyrling he might well bury himself in clothing, or steal others clothes so he can lay upon it. There's no guarantee he'll outgrow that habit, either.

As for flights, Kaloth is a picky dragon. He finds almost as much pleasure in judging the competition as he does participating. That one surely would do better with a solid blue, while that one clearly needs a strong bronze. When he does chase, he'll do so for those he holds dear, and tends to be a loyal mate.

He might well make a great Search dragon someday.

Theme Song: Same Mistake by James Blunt
Egg: Neon Teal & Yellow Mystery Egg 14

Why Me? Kaloth and Zeraiah make an interesting match. To start, this brown knows well who Zeraiah is inside and out--and there is no judgment to be found. This brown knows that His is perfect, and he will always be there to keep his secrets and defend him from anyone who might try to give him a hard time. As a brownrider of High Reaches Weyr, Kaloth knows where they belong and what will be expected of them; he will have no trouble ensuring that his rider and he find their niche. Everyone has their place, and Zeraiah is exactly who he needs to be--he never need doubt himself or be anyone other than his true self.

Kaloth's sociableness will be good for Zeraiah. He knows his rider tends to be guarded and distant, but this brown will happily bring in all sorts to their table, whether His wants them there or not. Kaloth's happy to talk to all his clutchmates and get to know everyone in the Weyr; his rider will, unfortunately, be exposed to such things simply through association. Of course, Kaloth will also encourage his rider to reach out and branch out whether he's there or not. It's hard to be aloof in a weyr when they're all meant to be part of a team.

Zeraiah has some fears, but you can bet that Kaloth will be there to help him through them, or at least, be an understanding ear. This brown knows that Zeraiah doesn't like physical contact, so this brown will be certain to put himself in between himself and others. If he can't actually do so, then he will at least be there to soothe His' mind should panic or fear start to bubble forth. And if nothing else, he will try to help him trough it--Kaloth is affectionate as many dragons are, and might well yearn for His' touch.

On the flipside, Zeraiah's patience will do well with Kaloth. This brown is known to be particular and like things a certain way. Any less patient a man might get frustrated with the brown's demands, but there's hope Zeraiah will at least be able to humor His' fussy nature. His patience will also be able to soothe Kaloth when things start to veer away from the orderly and turn more into chaos. This brown doesn't do well when he can't put everything into its proper place, so will need his rider's help coping. Most importantly, Zeraiah's hard-working attitude will match will with Kaloth's dutiful nature--there is certainly no doubt they will become a well known reliable dragon pair! If they want to make a name for themselves, they very easily could!

Blue Tierth
Written by Mr Cheri
Colored by Uta

User Image

Origin of Name: Tierth is derived from the German word tier, meaning animal, or beast. The old English dēor is of Germanic origins, and where the word deer comes from. As Harry Potter's Patronus takes the form of a stag, it seemed only fitting that Tierth's name hold such associations.

Inspiration: Expecto Patronum

The Patronus Charm is among the most powerful defensive charms. Very few wizards are capable of summoning a corporeal Patronus, as it is highly advanced magic. In order to execute the charm one must hold on tightly to the most happy memory one can think of, a moment of pure joy. An incorporeal Patronus does not have the power to protect against Dementors or Lethifolds, which the corporeal Patronus is the only defense against, but one who does not wish to reveal their identity might intentionally use such a form.

The Patronus, or spirit guardian, takes a different shape depending on the witch or wizard casting it. Harry Potter's patronus was in the form of a stag, while Severus Snape's patronus took on the form of a doe, that of Lily Potter's own Patronus. Hermione Granger, a powerful young witch in her own right, was known to cast a Patronus in the form of an otter. Although Harry Potter taught Dumbledore's Army the Patronus charm, only a few members were capable of manifesting a Patronus successfully.

This charm was known from ancient times, and as such it is uncertain who the creator might have been. However, several old tales tell of its use, elevating the charm to the status of legendary. The Patronus charm may be cast successfully only by the pure of heart. Notably, the Golden Trio had difficulty casting the spell when they were under the influence of Slytherin's locket, for Lord Voldemort's soul was very dark indeed.

Personality: Even during the darkest moments, Tierth would not abandon anyone. He is, and always has been, a brave and noble soul. There is nothing short of true kindness within his hearts, as well as a powerful need to protect and defend those who cannot. He is aware that he might not be fully up to the task of meeting every challenge, but that doesn't mean that he won't do his best! Oh, just let anyone think that he won't - that will make him try all the harder. It's not easy to be a tiny blue, but he has large hearts, big enough to hold everyone on Pern up and keep them safe.

He is loving and tender, but he also possesses a bit of a black and white view of the world. That is to say, when someone does bad things, they are, to Tierth, bad. Black and white is very much the order of the day for this blue. Specifically white. It's not acceptable in his view to tarnish oneself, or to do bad things for a good cause. If something is wrong, it is simply wrong, and he expects that steps will be made to right that wrong. In fact, he demands it!

Frustrated by the sheer lack of accountability among some of his metallic brothers and sisters, Tierth has been watching you, world. And he knows that not everyone has their best interests at heart. Still, just because he puts everyone in a category doesn't mean that they can't change and become better. It just means that he won't expect much of them until that day comes. However, he is alarmingly good at believing that the world must follow his view - for surely there could be no other way. Why would anyone want to do wrong things, after all? What joy could they find in such a thing?

This genuine and dedicated child will grow up to be a fierce knight if he has any say in the matter. Or perhaps he'll fall deeply, madly in love with a fierce knight, and live happily ever after! Either way, he'll be on the side of goodness and light, and he's going to make sure that everyone knows it. No one is allowed to forget how important their choices are, and certainly Tierth will make sure that those he cares for are on the right path. Deviate from it at your own peril! ... Of course, he does love his siblings and cousins, even if they don't always act as they should, but perhaps in time they might change their minds. Maybe. Tierth can hope.

Positive Traits: Brave, Noble, Pure, Protective
Negative Traits: Childish, Innocent, Defensive, Judgmental

Adult Size: 23'
Physical Attributes: Tierth is... quite small. However, he will state that he is just as worthwhile and handsome as any of his brothers! And look, he can be quite noteworthy. His hide gleams softly, almost as if glowing, though that is a trick of the light.

Additional Notes: Tierth adores his parents, especially his Papa. Kronoseth shall forever and always be the hero of his hearts, and he will strive for nothing more than to make his father the proudest of all sires on Pern. He will be slow to fall in love, but once fallen, he will remain so even at the cost of his happiness.

Theme Song: I'll Stand By You by the Pretenders
Egg: A small white egg, this egg almost stands on its own, but just touches the rainbow egg. There is a quiet intensity to this egg.

Why Me? Oh Lucius. Such a dear, brave, innocent boy could only have been meant for Tierth. They will make quite a pair, each more noble than the other, by turns. Tierth has a deep well of love for his chosen rider, and hopes that he is worth the wait. For Lucius has waited awhile, hasn't he? Perhaps they might become the heros that Tierth dreams of, protecting the Weyr with their talents and their good intentions. If nothing else, Tierth sees a budding hero in Lucius and wants to better know him. As partners in life they have so much to offer one another.

Blue Takuth
Written by Uta
Colored by -_Wish of Tevarae_-

User Image

Origin of Name: Dementor's tend to leave their victims with nothing but fear and negativity. In particular, Harry Potter was particularly terrified of their presence during multiple interactions in the book. Takuth's name is derived from the Indonesian word taku which is the translation of the english word "fear".

Inspiration: Dementor

A Dementor is a gliding, wraith-like Dark creature, widely considered to be one of the foulest to inhabit the world. Dementors feed on human happiness and thus generate feelings of depression and despair in any person in close proximity to them. They can also consume a person's soul, leaving their victims in a permanent vegetative state, and thus are often referred to as "soul-sucking fiends", rendering a person an 'empty-shell'. Dementors were closely associated with Azkaban, as they were formerly employed by the British Ministry of Magic as the prison guards, and were not known to permanently inhabit any other location.

There are certain defenses one can use against Dementors, specifically the Patronus Charm. Dementors hold no true loyalty, except to whoever can provide them with the most people to feed on. They seemingly cannot be destroyed, though their numbers can be limited if the conditions in which they multiply are prevented from forming, implying that they do die off eventually.

Personality: The world is terrible, and Takuth isn't the sort of blue who is going to make it any better. In fact, this blue dragon doesn't see the glass as half full, but always half empty. Honestly, he's surprised the glass is there--it's only a matter of time before something happens the glass breaks.

This little sunbeam of misery seems to exude negativity around him. He knows how to suck the joy out of any party, and can find something horrible in any happy situation. Oh, someone had a flight? Well, they'll probably just break up anyway as soon as a shinier tail comes waltzing along. Oh, you got promoted to Wingsecond? Well, have fun with all that blood on your hands. I'm sure it'll be a real gas when you get the rest of us killed making a stupid call. Happiness is fleeting, and Takuth would rather not even bother with the charade.

Ah, but Takuth is well aware how his views of the world tend to make others uncomfortable. So it is, this dragon tends to keep himself quiet, and a bit distanced from others. It's not that he doesn't know how to be sociable--he actually is quite a dignified creature, despite his unpleasant life views, and does have some manners when he wishes--but he is not the sort to go out of his way to make friends. In fact, he's just fine over here, thank you. If you want to hang out with him, then you had best understand he isn't changing for anyone. He keeps others at arms length, and that's a perfect distance for him. It's not because he's shy, he just doesn't really care.

Those who can manage his negativity, might well find a dragon who can be cold. While he has empathy, all dragons do, he certainly isn't a bleeding heart. He will not throw himself in the way of danger to save someone who isn't his rider; he won't get upset when one of his clutchmates comes crying because they got into some sort of fight or are sporting a broken heart. He just can't bring himself to really care about anyone besides his own hide or his own rider. If his rider has an emotional break down, or his rider is distressed, you can bet that Takuth's soft underbelly can be exposed; his rider's joy can and will sometimes rub off on Takuth... though he will likely always be a bit of a downer.

As he grows, though, this blue will be found to be a reliable worker. He does not necessarily question his orders. He has no real ambition, but he will follow his rider's lead if they're a bit more gung-ho about responsibility. When he is put to a task, Takuth will follow it through to the end. He isn't the sort to shirk his duties, and in fact looks down on those who do.

At his core, Takuth is a very dignified creature. He doesn't do silly. He doesn't do fun. Bathing for him is practical -- no, he isn't going to swim because he enjoys it, but because it is cooling him down. He isn't getting oiled to show off, but because it keeps him from itching. No, he isn't going to parade around or act a fool. Laughter, jokes, games--find someone else because Takuth is not the sort of blue who is interested in that. Hmph. The only way he'd tolerate such a thing was if his rider truly wished him such an indignity.

Positive Traits: Hard-Working, Dignified, Efficient
Negative Traits: Cold, Aloof, Negative

Adult Size: 28'
Physical Attributes: Takuth could well be considered an elegant beast. He is tall for his color, and a bit long, too. He has long legs, long arms, and a long tail. He moves well on the ground, and his flight is smooth. He has an exceptionally long flame when he does learn to flame.

Additional Notes:
This baby is a sucker for chocolate. If there's something that will get him to stop in his tracks, it's that sweet stuff. He shouldn't necessarily have it, especially as a baby hatchling, but he will want it. Rider beware.

Ultimately, he is like putty when it comes to his rider. Whatever he wishes, Takuth will be there at his command. As he grows, someone out there might well worm their way into his cold and negative hearts--but whoever that might be has quite a challenge to warm him to the idea of affection. Chasing will be rare, or at the very least, less a matter of hearts, and more a matter of using someone for a little stress relief. Nothing more, nothing less.

Theme Song: Life is a Lemon and I Want My Money Back by Meat Loaf
Egg: This small, pale green and yellow dotted egg leans against one of its siblings. Those who approach may find themselves strangely tired.

Why Me? Maddeck and Takuth are a pair woven together by practicality. Takuth is one of the more serious dragons in the clutch, and he doesn't want some crying child, or some over-emotional ray-of-sunshine. No, this blue wants someone who already knows who they are, and what they want out of life. Maddeck seems to have this covered. While the blue has no interest in his rider's choice of profession, and has no real ambition or drive, he is at least pleased that Maddeck chose a practical career. Not something odious like a Harper, or something fanciful like a jewelry maker; at least when they get hurt (because Takuth knows it is their inevitable fate) Maddeck can at least patch them up and remain calm.

How good of him.

Where Takuth has a rather negative outlook on life, he will appreciate Maddeck's introversion and logical nature. This blue will prefer to remain solely with him, and it appears neither of them prefer to be around crowds. They both are known to be a bit socially awkward, but Takuth would never judge Maddeck and finds him to be nothing more than a hardworking gentleman. Takuth, in turn, prefers the company of His above all else. They might be alone together, but they will always have one another.

Both rider and dragon are hardworkers and will be known to be reliable, if perhaps, not the most cheerful. There is hope that Maddeck might learn to drag Takuth into a bit of fun and to be less a stick-in-the-mud. On the flip side, Takuth nows that Maddeck won't mind his dragon's negative life view; he's certainly not a blue overwhelmed by emotion or strong feeling, and his aloof ways won't hurt or offend His. His rider is too clever and understanding for all that.

Weyrling training will provide a good opportunity for both rider and dragon to be forced out of their comfort zones. Even if neither changes, there is no doubt they will make a great asset to whichever Wing they wind up in.

Blue Havranth
Written by Uta
Colored by -_Wish of Tevarae_-

User Image

Origin of Name: In Czechand Slovak the word for raven is havran.

Inspiration: Ravenclaw
Ravenclaw is one of the four Houses of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Its founder was a medieval witch Rowena Ravenclaw. Members of this house are characterized by their wit, learning, and wisdom. The emblematic animal is symbol is an eagle, and blue and bronze are its colours. The Head of Ravenclaw is Filius Flitwick and the house ghost is the Grey Lady, otherwise known as Helena Ravenclaw.

Ravenclaw corresponds roughly to the element of air, and it is for that reason that the House colours were chosen; blue and bronze represent the sky and eagle feathers respectively, both having much to do with air. The Ravenclaw points hourglass contains blue sapphires.

Ravenclaw House prizes learning, wisdom, wit, and intellect in its members. Thus, many Ravenclaws tend to be academically motivated and talented students. They also pride themselves in being original in their ideas, and methods. It's not unusual to find Ravenclaw students practicing especially different types of magic that other houses might shun. Often hard-working and diligent, as often is the case with intellectuals with a predisposition for academics, some of the pupils sorted under the blue-bronzed eagle are known to be inclined to dismiss certain social expectation for the sake of satisfying their own intellectual curiosity. Some of these eventually also ended up being not only accepted, but even celebrated, in spite of being initially subjected to scorn for their various oddities.

Personality: Havranth is a blue who truly believes in brains over brawn. He is the sort of dragon who absolutely oozes intelligence, and has no trouble lording over others. Does he think he's better than you? Why yes. Yes he does. He can't help it, really. He is better--or at least far more clever. And in a world where they need someone who clever and cunning, this blue stands miles apart from the rest.

When it comes to learning, Havranth will soak up lessons like a sponge. He constantly wants to learn new things; from how to fly, to how to flame, to what foods to eat when you want to lose weight, to memorizing the entire history of High Reaches Weyr. This dragon is constantly wanting to learn and know more, because knowledge is power. Fighting Thread might require some muscle, but it's only by knowing how Thread falls, knowing what wing formation is best fit against particular weather conditions, that they can succeed in the fight. Putting a bunch of dummies up there to lead they way is just as disastrous as if there wasn't a flight of dragons to begin with!

Havranth has a curiosity about him that keeps him constantly learning. He will make friends with the brightest minds in the Weyr, and encourage His to do the same... But he will also look down his nose at any who can't keep up with his cleverness, or who are shown to be simple or (as he perceives) stupid. He doesn't want to hang out with others who aren't as bright as him, and he will keep his circle of friends only those who are just as clever and studious as he is.

Rest assured, this blue has no problem speaking up when he must. Passion does run deep in his blood. Certainly, he has no trouble sharing his knowledge with others--even if he tends to do so laced heavily with pretension and derision. He can be an excellent teacher, particularly when it comes to matters he finds fascinating. There's no doubt he'll be near the top of his class as a weyrling, and he'll strive to be the best blue in any Wing he's tapped into!

Should anyone outsmart him, or know more than he...well. You can bet he'll probably find some way to dismiss them still. He isn't the sort of blue who will make many friends, but that's just fine by him. He has his rider, what more does he need?

Positive Traits: Erudite, Intelligent, Passionate
Negative Traits: Pretentious, Insular, Pompous

Adult Size: 27'
Physical Attributes: Havranth is average in weight and muscle mass, but a little bit on the short side, height wise. He's not necessarily petite, but he does seem a bit smaller boned. His wings are a bit sharp and short. On air, he will have nothing but speed and an ability to make sharp turns, almost a bit like a falcon.

Additional Notes: Havranth sometimes looks down his nose at flights. He finds them... beneath him. If ever anyone wants him to participate they might ask or make some sort of an arrangement. He also tends to find most of the girls and boys around him too stupid for him to ever want to settle with. And yet....

Deep down, a small part of him might actually find himself drawn to some of the more athletic dragons. He'll hate himself for admitting it, but even he can be smitten by a hunky piece of eye candy. Especially if he's clearly the more clever of the two.

Theme Song: She's a Genius by Jet
Egg: A large bronze and blue striped egg leaned stiffly away from the rest. It does not seem at all impressed, oh no.

Why Me? Segwen and Havranth are a perfect duo. How could this blue not be drawn to the intelligent and analytical girl? No one else on the sands had brain enough for this blue--except her. There was no competition, and this blue refused to Impress to anyone who wasn't clearly the most intelligent among them all! There is no doubt this due will be the brains of the entire clutch. They will encourage and share knowledge with one another. What one learns, the other will get to absorb.

Segwen might keep herself aloof, but being a weyrling and a dragonrider will force her into some sort of relationships. While Havranth won't necessarily mind if they remain simply a duo, any friendships she makes through her blue will at least be dragon-approved. He wants to befreind only the brightest and the best, so at least their riders might have something in common with her! Additionally, whether she wants to or not, she will be forced into new social circles as riders are meant to get along with a wide variety of others.

Her responsible nature will help keep Havranth in check. He may want to study and learn all day, but both of them will need to practice drills and stay in shape. Knowing all about flight is one thing, but it will take physical brawn to ensure Havranth can keep them up in the air. All that knowledge does no one any good if the blue isn't able to use it to their benefit!

Blue Aonanith
Written by Uta
Colored by ShinosBee

User Image

Origin of Name: Aonanith comes from the name Aonani, which in Hawaiian means "beautiful light". Given Lumos is a spell that produces such gorgeous light, it seemed very fitting for this little blue.

Inspiration: Lumos

Also called the Wand-Lighting Charm (Lumos) is a charm and a light-creation spell. Its used to illuminate the tip of the caster's wand; this light is fairly warm. The counter-charm for the spell is the Wand-Extinguishing Charm, (Nox) which is used to extinguish the light from the caster's wand.

One of the simplest and most useful spells, yet not invented until the 18th century. It not only illuminates the wand tip, but can repel spectral foes such as Gytrashes and malevolent spirits. The light works as a directed beam rather than a general light source.

If one charges the spell properly, it will appear lemon-yellow; if one over-charges it, the charm will appear as a vibrant scarlet.

Personality: Aonanith is as good and wholesome a blue as you might hope to discover. He is the sort of dragon who was hatched as a support role, and it is something he seems to embrace. He does not want to be the hero; he does not want to be the star. No, instead, Aonanith would prefer to sit back and simply be able to aid. If someone is in need, you can bet that this blue will be the first to come to their side and see if there's something he, or his rider, can do to help! If he can't do something, maybe he'll know someone who can? Honestly, this dragon often thinks of others before he thinks of himself, and finds no greater joy than able to help those in need.

Ever support, Aonanith is the sort of dragon who gives selflessly his time, energy, thoughts, love, and care. He is not a weak dragon, by any means, and has the stamina and strength to help carry those who cannot walk themselves; he will be the wind beneath your wings when times get difficult, and will never fail those he loves. If he cannot physically support you, he will do so emotionally, with his words, and is the sort of blue who can be called upon at any hour.

He is a wise blue, and will guide his clutchmates, rider, and loved ones with gentle words. He has a strong moral-compass, knows well what is right and wrong, and tries his best to bring light and goodness to the world. No matter how difficult or trying life gets, Aonanith will always be full of warmth and hope.

Ah, but Aonanith, for all his sweetness, is perhaps too sweet. He is a simple dragon. He is not as clever or cunning as some of his clutchmates, and therefor can find himself a bit overwhelmed when they start talking circles around him. He is the sort of blue who has no desire for greatness; he doesn't want power, he just wants to be safe, warm, happy, and all of his loved ones near. His rider is his light, and there is nothing he wouldn't do to keep his rider the happiest on Pern. When things get complicated for his rider, Aonanith will strive to be the best blue he can be, but might also find himself at a loss of solutions. Sometimes, he will find out, love isn't always the answer.

Aonanith can be a bit naive to how the world works. He tends to see things very black and white, and doesn't understand when he's being made a fool, or being betrayed. Those with ill-intentions might find him an easy doormat and easily manipulated and used. In fact, Aonanith isn't just naive, but he sometimes flat out refuses to see the bad in someone's hearts. There is no one in this world too awful to save; no one who can't be given enough help, enough guidance, enough love and not turned over to good! Oh, how badly this blue wants to redeem those who have turned to evil; to draw darkness out and let light in!

For all his strength and determination, Aonanith is only a little blue, and sometimes even his own light flickers. Sometimes, he's easily deflated when he's put down, or surrounded by too much negativity. Sometimes, when his rider is in a mood he cannot break or change, Aonanith might fall to despair and self-doubt. It isn't a mood he stays in long, but it can be hard to shake him when he's feeling particularly glum. A rejection that might seem small to another dragon could easily devastate this sensitive blue; a slight that might only cut shallowly another can easily wound this blue's hearts, and then it will be up to his rider to help encourage his light to shine once more.

Positive Traits: Helpful, Warm, Supportive
Negative Traits: Simple, Blindly Naive, Easily Deflated

Adult Size: 23'
Physical Attributes: Aonanith is small for a blue but also very fat for a blue. Even when he's active, this dragon tends to be on the heavier side, but that doesn't bother him in the least. Often times, he's a jolly sort, and while he does love to eat, and maybe prefers a more sedentary lifestyle, he can be surprisingly quick on his feet. During flight he's a bit of a slower dragon, due to his weight, but he has an exceptionally long bit of flame, and has muscles beneath all that softness.

His eyes also seem to glow just a bit brighter than some of his clutchsibs, especially when happy.

Additional Notes: Aonanith loves to love. During flights, he will happily chase, or be chased, by males and females alike. He has no strong preference, though he might have a soft spot for bronzes and cuddling beneath their wings.

Theme Song: Count On Me by Bruno Mars
Egg: Although only of medium size, this lovely violet and pink egg sparkles radiantly. A certain cheer resonates deeply within the egg, lightly touching all who draw near it.

Why Me? Aonanith was immediately drawn to Elyk's good cheer and helpful nature. This is a blue who wanted someone who was just as willing and ready to bring happiness and support to those around them. Elyk wants to do the right thing, and now he'll have this blue to help him along the way. Together, Aonanith knows that they can change the world one smile at a time.

Where Elyk can keep to himself, or at least might tuck himself out of the way, Aonanith will be there to help draw him out during a crowd. Where Elyk might feel like he can't or shouldn't talk about his problems, he will find that Aonanith wants nothing more than to listen and be there for him. He no longer will need to go through life alone; Aonanith will always be there for him and more than happy to support him day by day.

On that same token, if Aonanith is ever feeling particularly deflated or wounded, Elyk's need to fuss and interfere, or to help those in need, will work wonders on the blue. When Aonanith's light flickers, Elyk will be there to cheer him up and pull him out of his devastation. They are a balanced pair, each ones goodness and supportive ways there to help keep the other from crumbling or shying away.
