The journal of Damen Daniels, tucked away neatly in one of his drawers. He doesn't write in it much, but he might about certain events. It is well kept and has various subjects in the pages. Being used for a journal, as a way to keep track of his company for the important things and his agenda. The handwriting is neat and clearly from an educated hand.

What does your OC's day to day outfit look like? What's something they like wearing vs something they would never be caught in?
Damen likes shorts and shirts since most the time the weather in Soleil has been good (as far as he experienced it) They are plain colors mainly and most of the time white, though he has a few colored ones. Before that he used to wear his long jacket, which he will don again if the weather gets cold enough and long pants. If he has to go to his company, he is dressed a bit more formal but it could best be described as Formal Casual. You'll never ever catch Damen in a tuxedo. He hates how they are tight around you and the ties.

What is your OC looking for in a friend? Are they looking for friends right now? If not, why?
Someone that wants to be friends for him, not for who he is. Someone he can have fun with or have good conversations with. Of course even the better if they have things in common but that is not something he desperately needs. He is always open to friends to hang out with, as long as they understand that his boyfriend Mark comes first at all times.

Has your OC ever experienced loss of a loved one? (i.e. Have they ever attended a funeral?) How did this effect their character development? If they were to lose another, how would they react now having that past experience?
As of yet, he hasn't lost anyone.

August 13th:

I arrived at Soleil a while ago now.
So far it has been an absolute boon, though I miss working inside my company.
I still keep up with e-mails and some phone calls but it leaves me kind of anxious about the company.
Still it is a great time here in Tropical Soleil.
I made a friend with whom I hang out a lot.
A younger man who seems to be struggling a bit as I noticed as we spend more time together.

I hope I can be of some comfort, if he even appreciates as much from quite an older man.
But I can say with certainty we are true friends and I enjoy out time spent together.
Mark has agreed to help me find my way around Soleil as well.
I hope we can be friends for a long time to come.
I met a young woman as well but haven't seen her as often.
Right now we are merely acquaintances but who knows.
Maybe it would be good to make more friends around here and enjoy my time in Soleil.
Let's see where this goes, but I look forward to spending more time with Mark.

The usual handwriting is slightly more shaken than usual, at the end it has gotten somewhat wet which can be seen in the paper.

Friday, September 28th:

It has been a while since I decided to spend some time on the journal.
But perhaps this is something I should do now.
Life has suddenly gotten a lot more complicated.
I am not sure when, or how but recently I have been feeling strange whenever I am around Mark.
For the longest time I couldn't tell what it was, but now I know.

In the time we spend together, I have fallen for him.
Gods why? There is no good to come from that.
Just looking at history it should be very clear I should stay well away from getting that involved with someone.
It must have been what I felt for her too and she ended up attacked and nearly killed.
I had to leave her, she had seen my true self and I did not want to hear the words of rejection, so I ran...

And today...I was just going to train, set my thoughts aside.
But then I got the message from Mark that just alarmed me.
With his door being open when he could swear it was closed the night before.
I went there as fast as I could, but still...I almost lost him.
It just seems that doom befalls any I end up caring for more than just a friend.
Perhaps I should create some distance...

John visited today. It was a little odd with bodyguards around, but perhaps he feels like he has need of them. I hope he isn't in any kind of trouble. We all drank and ate something and I finally told my friend about the fact that Mark and I parted ways. This, makes him the first person I ever told about it. He left later in the evening but we'll meet again.
