User Image Shadow Song shook herself before settling down to watch the others in her pack. The sun was starting to set and the rock felt welcomingly warm beneath her belly. The pack had recently moved up the mountains, and the sun starting to set behind the mountains was something she didn't think she'd ever want to let go of. It was impressive in the thinner air this high up, and the stars seemed so close when night drew in like you could touch them with your nose, or perhaps even bump your head against them if you stood too fast.

She was still a new member of the pack but already this was the most at home she had ever felt in her life. Even the sense of what she had with her own mother was nothing in comparison. As for relationships with the other wolves, sh wasn't sure if even half of them knew her name yet, but she didn't worry. They were a fascinating bunch to watch. She wouldn't admit it aloud, but talking to others made her anxious - she was a good judge of character, but it was so hard to figure out how one would react in her presence, and that left so many questions in her head that it was hard to get straight and often left her feeling very confused.

So, she remained quiet. She simply soaked in the the pack life, went out with Swiftfoot to the patrol the borders at least once a day, if not twice (once during the day, another at night), but tonight was a rare night. Two Tone had told her it was okay to relax tonight, she didn't need to be quite so....lost in her work? For a moment, the unexpected freedom left her feeling lost, but her natural obsession to wolf-watch quickly filled in.She felt so happy here.

Speaking of her companion, a bold young bunny about her same age who'd pretty much adopted HER instead of the other way around, she wondered where Swiftfoot had gotten to, but let it go. Here, he had freedom. It felt peaceful knowing he was safe and not going to end up someone's dinner at the next opportune moment. Yes the chance still existed, but least the others in the pack knew not to do so...rogues and other packs would be dangers, but that was simply life. It would go on as it always had, right? He would come back when he was good and ready.

A sigh escaped her maw as she turned her gaze once more to the mountains touched in shades of reds, pinks and purples and let it soak it. Yeah, she was happy here. She was home.
