Physical Description:
Reekim has a lean athletic build to keep up with his energetic tendencies. His dark brown hair is wavy and kept short. He is well muscled across his arms and upper body. Reekim has freckles across both cheeks and a small goatee. He stands on the slightly shorter end of 5'6".
Personality:
Reekim is one of those people who does every task with great vigor. He is always energetic in everything he does, sometimes a little too much. It’s difficult for him to tone it back to an acceptable level, but if asked he will try. Reekim is always on edge. He is aggressive and walks with a strut. If he thinks you’ve offered an insult he won’t hesitate to attack. It’s worst if he thinks you’re teasing him about his parents. He isn’t the most imaginative either. Reekim is not good at coming up with new or interesting ideas or plans. He’ll stick with the tried and true.
He is a man who walks his path alone. Reekim is self-sufficient in most things and doesn’t need things from others. Particularly dragonriders. They became a sore spot for him after he got kicked out from being a candidate. He will never ask one for anything, and rather ruined on the idea of riding a dragon. If asked about dragonriding or does he miss being a candidate, he remains quite noncommittal. He hopes his siblings enjoy their chosen profession.
Reekim knows his weaknesses and shortcomings. He tries to explain or point them out in a self-defacing way. While he tries to do so humorously it sometimes doesn’t work. When talking about something he’s indifferent about, Reekim will drop a comment in an offhand manner. It doesn’t concern him and he is quite uncaring about it.

History:
Reekim is the oldest of three children between a bronze rider and a green wherhandler. His brother is a turn younger, and his baby sister is three turns younger. He was placed in the cache early as both his parents were busy with their duties. As a young boy, he was teased about his parents being a rider and a wherhandler. It made him angry and he often picked fights over it. Nothing too serious usually occurred from the fights, just a bruised eye here and there.
When he was twelve turns, Reekim impressed his blue firelizard whom he named Whipcrack. Not being the most imaginative boy, Reekim found a painting assignment during this 13th turn difficult and frustrating. Whipcrack, investigating what upset his owner, dipped his tail into the paint and living up to his name whipped his tail, spraying paint across the canvas. Together the two continued the process until a fairly decent piece was achieved. Reekim has kept the painting ever since.
Reekim joined the candidates at 14. He never felt like he fit in with the other weyrbrats or candidates. As a teen, Reekim was always edgy; he was watching to see if anyone was slandering him in some way, and quick to take offence if he thought they were. The candidatemaster spoke to him severely after each fight and assigned him extra chores.
He stood for the clutches, but never Impressed. Eventually his siblings reached the age they could become candidates as well. About the time he was 18, it was decided his disposition for fights rendered him unsuitable to continue being a candidate and the candidatemaster let him go. That moment ruined him for being a dragonrider. Reekim offhandedly made a comment saying he didn’t want to be a stupid rider anyhow as he left the candidatemaster’s office.
Free of his duties as a candidate, the older teen was at a loss for a little bit. Eventually he decided trying his luck at being a wherhandler after his mother made the suggestion. Reekim signed up and has been studying whers ever since.
