- Personality: Where he was once a fairly obedient lad, if a little theatrical, the influence of his dragon has turned E'ran into a much more impudent adult. When he's not actively fighting or training to fight Thread, he strives to create opportunities to say exactly what's on his mind, and revels in any bitter reactions he receives, especially from his parents and their friends. While some of his siblings might feel sympathy toward their mother, E'ran can rarely dredge up anything but vitriol for her. The one person who might have shown their father how assholes deserve to be treated waited around and watched her children's hearts be broken by him instead.
E'ran is the mouthy cover for Haphoth's schemes, and while he's far from the chromatic hater he was before he Impressed one, he still has a reputation for treating them as something less, himself included. If you're paying attention, however, you might notice that E'ran only talks badly about the more common colors when he's around someone who will take offense. He is an exceedingly hard worker, but when he's between drills and Threadfall, his duties are the furthest things from his mind. When he's not working, it's almost always instigation time.
One of his only real ambitions is for Haphoth to one day catch a gold, and for that gold to give birth to, like, a thousand bronzes. Take that, dad.

History: As a child, Eoran never really thought to analyze or rebel against his father's bronze-centric world view. Metallic riders like E'rok were held in the highest regard at High Reaches. What was the harm in wanting a little of that recognition for himself?
His early life as a weyrbrat passed without remarkable incident. He got along with his family well enough most of the time, and when they were busy or belligerent, Eoran found others who would fawn over him for an hour or two. There were always tasks to complete that would earn him an approving smile or an encouraging clap on the back, and Eoran was a glutton for praise. He was honestly the perfect son for E'rok: pliant, eager to please, and well suited for leadership, even if it was tinged with grasping, second-son-itis. And then his older brother Impressed and it ruined everything.
Eoran honestly should have known what would happen. He had seen how E'rok treated Dorana, and why should a son fare any better than a wife? Still, Eoran had been optimistic, and it gutted him when he saw how his father dismissed Einan for not attracting a bronze, so much so that he spent the next year a tangled wreck of hopes and nerves.
When Haphoth slipped into Eoran's thoughts, he found the perfect field of intelligence and self-loathing to plant his mischievous little hatchling seeds.
Today, E'ran and his dragon are a little too volatile to be considered for greatness, but no matter how questionably E'ran acts, he never does anything to others that could be deemed quite bad enough to be severely reprimanded for. To be honest, he really only ever ends up hurting himself. Few actions are too much for E'ran to at least consider, as long as they keep heads turned in his direction.

- He might not be all that snazzy on the outside, but Haphoth prefers it that way. If you're underestimating him, he's doing it right. He's perfectly respectable in the proportion department, and he carries himself like nothing can get him down.
Personality:
- Most of the time, Haphoth acts as perky as he looks. He has a bounce in his step and a smile in his mindvoice that spark pleasant thoughts in many of those with whom he deals with superficially. The major sour spot in his personality is how much he adores manipulation—nudging people this way and that in the hopes they put on a show. He clutches grudges tightly in his claws and doesn't let them go for anything, but never acts out if he can avoid it. His memory is impeccable, and he's more than willing to wait and see his enemies get what's coming to them.
