[MATCH] Black Bone vs Big Bad

tab As obvious as it was that Black Bone did not want to be here, his disdain for his chosen opponent was more obvious by the growled shout of "YOU!" when his Alpha approached. Any other would probably speak to him with much more respect and restraint, but not Bone and not today more than any other day. "Shoulda never let ya talk me into this, ya big galloot." He rolled his eyes with such emphasis the brilliant gold of his iris disappeared for a moment.

tab Upon the signal to begin, the thinner male squared his shoulders and locked his eyes on the darker, larger Alpha. Bad would likely try and take him down quickly and if he wasn't careful to avoid his advances, he'd succeed. His mind raced as he tried to come up with a plan of action that would ensure his 'survival' against this wolf.

tab Head on would get him nowhere and he knew it. But maybe Bad wouldn't expect it? It could take him surprise and give Bone the upper hand for a split second. Figuring it was worth a shot, he crouched, claws digging into the ground beneath him as he launched himself forward, intent on using the full extent of his weight and momentum to... well he wasn't sure, off balance him, if anything.

Big Bad wasn't too surprised by the lunge, mostly because he saw the pure rage in Black Bone's face a mile away. He felt bad, honestly. Terrible might have been a better word for it. He had dragged the Healer to the event mostly out of humor. The blasted bird was at fault for their pairing, and Bad had felt guilt seep in despite the dorky grin he bore. The poor Healer couldn't catch a break.

He stepped to the side, dodging Black Bone's charge. It just... it didn't feel right, honestly. In fact, suddenly his guilt was gone as the giant wolf realized a new possibility; if he purposefully lost Black Bone would progress further. Hell, he might even win.

Oh, that'd be fun.

The swing he offered was lackluster and slow, although Bad wasn't dumb enough to let it look purposefully weak. It'd just irritate Black Bone more and perhaps belittle him. Instead, he pretended to stumble under his own weight, grappling around for stability.

tab The side step wasn't entirely unexpected and Black Bone whirled about to keep the Alpha in his line of sight. Bad's paw grazed his nose as he turned and he narrowed his eyes on him when he stumbled. His brow furrowed, the possibility that he legitimately could have stumbled crossing his mind for a moment. It was hard to believe, all things considered, but not impossible.

tab He took his chance, regardless of how it had come about, by kicking at Bad's back legs. It was a good kick, if he did say so himself, but his jaw fell open in shock as Bad simply stumbled around. He really was quite terrible at this and not only did his pack know it, now another knew as well. Great.

Oh man, he felt bad. Black Bone continued to struggle and Big Bad kept feeling the guilt piling on. In the back of his head he gently encouraged Black Bone. He could do it! Bad knew he could! He just needed encouragement -- that's all!

Like, say, if there was an opening then Black Bone would certainly win, right? He 'stumbled' some more before 'tripping' over a stick, exposing his belly. He swore he could see Forbidden Oath in the corner rolling her eyes.

tab He was not convinced that the Alpha actually tripped. Still, Black Bone didn't let his chance go untaken. Given to him or not, he'd make Bad at least marginally regret convincing him to do this.

tab In a matter of moments, he had his paws against Bad's shoulders in an effort to pin him. Which, now that he thought about it probably looked a little funny given how much smaller he was compared to the Alpha. He didn't think about his next move, he just did it. And by 'it', he meant headbutting his Alpha. Okay, maybe it had been a bit harder than he intended but it still got his point across

tab That would teach the stubborn Alpha that he was just as hard headed.

Big Bad almost laughed when he was 'pinned'. Really? Him? By Black Bone. He was so thrilled he absolutely forgot this was a spar and didn't lash out, instead looking up at Black Bone with 'surprise'. And then it turned to real surprise as his head was smashed in. As large as anyone could be, their skulls weren't immune to another one smashing into theirs. He yelped loudly, tossing Black Bone off of him as he rubbed at his forehead.

Ow! Okay! Black Bone won! Just... just give him a minute to recover from his brain being rattled.
