1508: Konosawa Saeki

Patrick walked with his cats to his boyfriend's abode for today's outing. Today was focused on their pets and the destination is the island. It was agreed to meet up here then go together for the ferry. Hiro was lounging on his human's arm and Emerald was walking by leash. Patrick took out phone and speed dialed his boyfriend's number when they were close by the front of Saeki's house. As he waited for a possible response for his boyfriend he stopped on the sidewalk near the house. Calmly keep an eye on their surroundings in the meantime because you can’t be too careful no matter what neighborhood you’re in.

Saeki had been awake for a while already. He had picked up his bo staff practice again as he said he would and already walked Aki and ate some. In fact he had already been cooking for a while. The Asian spent some time cooking Bento for them both and when he finished he had packed it in a backpack accordingly once it cooled and then added dog treats, cat treats and some bottles of water to the bag as well. He hadn’t told Patrick he would make lunch though, so he hoped that they didn’t bring some too. That said, between them Saeki was sure they could finish any food together no matter how much. The young man just finished and picked up his mobile to give his beloved a call to see where they were and if they were ready when his ringtone sounded. Saeki chuckled and picked up. "Good morning, my love. Great timing, I was just about to call you." he said with a light laughter in his voice. "Are you all set for our day out?" he asked and smiled waiting for their answer while he leashed his Akita for the road..

Patrick had most certainly not brought any food or drink with him. His presumption was that his boyfriend covered all that without having to ask about it and him coming here empty handed was proof he had no doubts. At this point in their relationship bringing any homemade food unless it was for special occasions letting his boyfriend take over the main cooking role. “Good morning, Saeki. Could very well show how in sync we are as a couple” he replied with a chuckle. “Why don’t you bring your sexy self out here then? We’re waiting for you just outside your property” he said being playful. “Also I do have something I want to give to you” he added before hanging up. What he wanted to give to him was a spare key to his house thinking they were ready for this next step. After they have been studying for the past few months, he has gotten to know a lot about Saeki. In hindsight, the trial period was when he was out of town for the weekend and temporarily gave the key to him to look after Hiro.

Saeki chuckled when Patrick spoke of being in sync and smiled to himself, since his boyfriend couldn’t see yet. "Was there ever any doubt?" he teased back. "We’re on our way, love." he said and they hung up. Saeki put on Aki’s jacket which had decorative embroidery and looked fitting for this weather before he put on his own jacket and in a short time they came outside and locked the door. He noticed his boyfriend right away and smiled happily, quickly joining him outside the garden. "Hello sweetheart, good to see you again. I look forward to our outing." he said and gave him a kiss. Aki greeted the company in his own way, well used to the cats now as well. Saeki was really surprised when Patrick handed him the key. They had been hesitant so far, even though Saeki gave his a while ago. He smiled happily and gave Patrick a hug. "Thank you my love. I’ll take good care of it. Let’s go everyone, a great day awaits." he then said and off they went. It was a great day indeed. They had a wonderful walk and a great time together as the pets played around them. By the time they went home it was evening, but not too late as Patrick had to work. Saeki went to bed soon after.

It was still early when Saeki got out of bed. As he had told Patrick the day before, he was picking back up on his exercises. The Asian got dressed in his dojo uniform and looked at the spot where Aki was still vast asleep on his blanket. Saeki had added it to his room since the canine tended to switch between his bed and the floor, so he gave Aki his own blanket to avoid them laying straight on the hard floor. A small smile played over his features before he silently slipped out of the room, kept the door slightly open and walked towards his inner dojo on his bare feet. He could feel the warmth from the floor heating on his skin. Both Aki and him loved this feeling. As he walked past the window, he glanced outside. The clouds in the sky had a pale silver hue, which told Saeki that it was maybe five o’ clock or reaching to six. He stood before the door of the room that was his dojo and looked in for a moment.

The last time he had practiced here had been the day that he collapsed. So he had been hesitant. Saeki took a deep breath before he did some general warm up and then he grabbed the bo staff and after a moment of focus he started slow before he gradually picked up his rhythm and speed. He went on for several hours before he ended his exercise. Much to his surprise, he wasn’t doing that badly. Sure he was more tired and breathed heavier than he usually would, but then he hadn’t exercised like this in a while. Satisfied with the results in the circumstances, the young man put away his gear and after picking up clothes in his room, he walked to the bathroom for a nice warm shower. Once he was done, dried and dressed he started on breakfast and picked up his mobile to look at the clock. It was about the time that his boyfriend went to work if he wasn’t mistaken.

He smiled and pressed the speed dial button for his beloved’s number, turned on speakers and placed it nearby while he worked on his breakfast cooking some rice to start. He listened as the phone connected and started ringing. Saeki wasn’t sure if he was on time with his call, but if he wouldn’t pick up he could try again later. Just at that moment Aki also came to the kitchen, so Saeki switched tasks to give him food first. "Good morning Aki, here you go." he said and placed down their first half of the daily portion. He always fed Aki in two parts. Half in the morning and half in the evening. After giving Aki a gentle pet he got up and washed his hands since he handled wet food for his dog and then resumed making his own breakfast as he waited if the phone would be picked up or would end in voicemail.

When the phone rang more than three times, Saeki was about to turn off the call thinking that Patrick was busy and try again later. But just at that time, Patrick picked up and Saeki smiled hearing their voice. Aki barked once hearing Patrick’s voice over speaker before he trotted off to his food bowl that was just filled with fresh chow. The young man chuckled and moved the phone near his working area for breakfast. "Goodmorning my love, it’s always great to hear your voice too." he agreed and admitted. "Have you slept well? I hope I am not calling at a bad time. I wasn’t sure if you went to work at the usual time today." he replied as he turned back to the rice which was done now and he started to work on the rest. While he spoke with his boyfriend, Saeki would continue to finish his breakfast because his stomach was rumbling from exercising in the morning again. Thankfully this type of breakfast was easy and fast to make.

Saeki had an easy wake up. He woke up early as he reinstated his normal schedule. When he had fainted from the flu, he had been hesitant for a few weeks but he was doing better now. The Asian had been busy already with walking Aki and practicing his martial arts. When he was certain he wouldn’t wake up Patrick, he picked up his phone and dialed the number of his boyfriend before making the call and waited for an answer from the other side. Aki had also walked into the room after drinking some water and Saeki smiled before he lowered to their height and gently petted the Akita Inu’s fur. They had been his for a while now and he absolutely adored his canine companion. It had also been a plus that Aki got along so well with Hiro and Emerald. It made a lot of things easier for the couple.

Patrick sighed heavily as he pulled along a wagon behind and his two cats walking ahead while they headed for Saeki's home. Wasn't just physically and mentally tired, but he was also tired of hiding his situation from his boyfriend. Using concealer on his face to cover up how tired he looked underneath, hiding what has been going after the mysterious package, and pretending he has gotten it since he didn't want to worry him about his lack of sleep. He has been avoiding sleepovers, but has been doing things with his boyfriend to avoid suspicions. Continued to pull along the wagon that had some of the cats’ necessities while he thought over the excuse he will be using for leaving them with his boyfriend. Didn't want them any harm to come to them if this stalker makes a move in the near future. He knocked on the door when he arrived on the porch then double checked that Hiro and Emerald was with him.
