 It was getting dark, but Lifeblood was wide awake. Her bright eyes flashed in the dying light, looking around for something, anything to do with her time. She could go out and collect materials for herself and the other healers, but with the sun lying low, that was just laughable. It was quite hard to discern between plants, even with the incredible sight of a wolf. Was there anyone interesting around that she might talk to? Hm.
Padding back to the center of the back, her head swiveled back and forth, to and fro, looking around for someone to engage. Well, not someone, but someone who seemed... well, interesting. Though she wasn't quite sure what she meant by that. Even so, the rogue she-wolf she'd met as a puppy? Definitely interesting. Obsessed with death, believing in the existence of all these fantastical forest and mountain creatures that Lifeblood may have been slightly convinced into believing in, too. That was yet to be determined, as was the status of their relationship... oh, gosh, she really was thinking about Crypt again. Desperately, her eyes locked onto the shape of another wolf. Judging by the bit of coat she could see, it looked like Penumbra, one of the "kids" from Dusk and Two Tone. Son of the Alpha? Perfect target.
Lifeblood smiled a toothy smile and changed her direction, aiming straight for the other wolf that she at least hoped was Penumbra. If it turned out to be a boring wolf, of course she was too nice to just walk away, but she knew she'd be disappointed. She just hoped it didn't show.

Penumbra's mood generally speaking looked "dark and stormy" to those that didn't know him - and even to some degree for those that did. The set of his jaw, the way his bright eyes seemed shadowed under the dying light, his well-muscled physique subtly rippling under his thick fur with each step: there was plenty of evidence to give him berth unless something important needed his attention. Penumbra didn't mind this too much as he was a little antisocial by nature, but it wasn't very becoming as an alpha-son to look unapproachable. Whether or not he succeeded Two Tone, he felt it was important to be a model to the others, even if said model was simultaneously didn't care what others thought of him.
It was...confusing. Just like Penumbra was to the majority.
He was debating circling back into the shadows with night approaching - a few nights before, he had managed to hunt and kill a bat, and the trophy hung from his ear now - when he noticed someone nearing. As it was the seer, Penumbra straightened and attempted to look less broody and more dignified. His results were mixed: he looked more like a sour knight than a polite noble.
"Lifeblood," he greeted.

As she neared the male wolf, she could see an almost imperceptible shift in his stature. He made a clear, concerted effort to look... different. More serious, apt to his position within the pack. It almost made Lifeblood giggle, but she knew it was because she was the pack seer. Something about her strange ability caused others to act differently around her - and she hated it. Her sight was more a curse than a blessing, though she did like the curious fascination it caused others to adopt. She, too, was confused by her powers, so she could definitely understand why others were so interested. She just wished it didn't cause them to automatically treat her differently.
"Penumba," she said by way of greeting, smiling at the fact that she had been right, it was the alpha's son she spotted from far away. "It's getting late, shouldn't you be off hunting bats? Or maybe hanging in a cave like one?" Life's grin betrayed the humor she was conveying - Penumbra was an easy one to poke fun at. Though it was quite impressive that he had managed to nab a bat. Those things were fast - they barely looked like more than a blur of shadows when they took flight. She could appreciate the fact that he now wore the wings of his kill - it was a neat way to boast.

"I think they've seen enough of me to hunt elsewhere for a while," Penumbra replied in such a way that it was hard to tell whether it was a statement or a very dry joke. Most likely it was both. "Why, did you want new earrings?" He was considering hunting several for his siblings already, one more set wouldn't make a big difference.
"For that matter, shouldn't you be asleep?"

Lifeblood smiled at what she perceived to be a joke before finding herself nodding slightly. As soon as the words were out of his mouth, he head jerked down — something about her visions of death and having death decorating her figure seemed appealing. Plus, Crypt would totally dig them. "Actually, I mean, I wouldn't mind some..."
At his question, she tossed her head a bit and flicked her tail. "Couldn't get to sleep, but I'm sure you'll fix that." Another jab, which a part of her hated herself for. She clearly had a massive crush on Crypt but couldn't help the light and fun flirtation she was able to engage in with wolves closer to her. If only Crypt would hurry up and join the pack already... Lifeblood's eyes flashed as she glanced back over at Penumbra, manually pulling herself out of her own thoughts.
"So... I need some entertainment. Got any stories? Jokes? Lay it on me."
