Soft Shadow sat near the lake, she had already gathered a number of herbs and dried them storing them the best she could, she was glad since the frost had started to appear on the leaves which would soon kill off many plants. Which would make searching for healing herbs very difficult. If she ran out of something Soft would have no other choice but to journey to another area in hopes she might be able to find a location that was warmer then their current home. Soft looked out at the lake wondering if it would freeze over or if the water would stay as it was. She stood up and leaned forward to get a drink from the lake water, the water was cold but she didn't mind. She sighed out as she looked around thinking she needed to find Dream Vision at some point. She wanted to spend more time with him. She was glad to have a new home and a pack of wolves who would protect her and any pups she might have with Vision. It was a great comfort to her. The idea of having pups without a pack had made her very nervous.

The two-toned pelted male took long strides as he patrolled the area. Above, the crows scouted from the skies. Next to him, his own coon familiar with dual colored eyes continued to peek out at him, before focusing ahead.
“Should you be traveling?” He asked quietly.
Two Tone scoffed slightly. “I’m fine, Pie.” The male grumbled slightly.
“Mhmm. Fine.” The coon couldn’t help but roll his eyes. “Whatever you say.” The multicolored coon stated.
The scent of another hit his nostrils as Two Tone slowed his gait. “Looks like someone is near.”
Cutie Pie paused, sniffing the air. “You canines and your noses.” He huffed, causing the alpha to laugh. “This way,” Two Tone said, turning his head in the direction of the lake. Sure enough, a she-wolf was there. One of the newest members of the pack, Soft Shadow, was at the water’s edge. “Ah, Soft Shadow, is it not?” Two Tone called out on his approach.

Soft shadow nodded her head at the figure "I'm afraid I don't remember your name, but yes I am Soft Shadow." She called back as the other wolf came towards her. She had her pile of herbs ready to take back with her to the pack, as a healer she had a responsibility to make sure she collected and dried enough herbs so she would be able to take care of her pack over the winter months when many of the herbs she needed would die, till the spring. Her mind was distracted from the idea of finding Dream with the addition of this new wolf.

Two Tone flashed Soft Shadow a small smile as she explained the herbs.
He lowered his head to sniff at them. “You know, I never understood how you guys determined the right herbs to use for healing. You should speak with Shout. She has a wealth of knowledge in the healing art too. She has tried to talk to me about it, but it goes over my head,” the male said sheepishly. “Something Dusk tells me all the time.” He hoped the conversation with Soft Shadow helped her calm her nerves being around the alpha.
“Maybe you guys can think of a nice way to store the herbs, and ease of transport for when we migrate between the den sites.”

Soft smiled and then said "I was thinking of that myself, trying to figure out how to easily to the den and thank you for the suggestion of who to speak to." She was considering the question of how they knew how to gather which herbs. "I'm not really sure, when I was taught to be a healer it was just what I was taught. I suppose long ago wolves watched human healers and their healing ways and passed that knowledge on to their pups and their pups?"

The talk of the two leggers was strange to Two Tone. They were a creature he didn’t hear of regularly. They were something of legend, no one actually alive that he knew during their reign.
“Maybe.” He said thoughtfully, shrugging just slightly. The art of healing was never his forte. He was just glad that others took interest in it. It came in handy when illnesses struck.
“Well, I probably should let you get back to you. I need to finish my rounds around the pack.” The alpha flashed his newest member a smile.

Soft Shadow nodded, there really was no way to figure out how the wolves had learned how to treat the wounded and sick since the past and history was rather blurred. Collecting history was not an easy thing, elders had to pass knowledge and some times that knowledge was lost. "Well thank you for stopping to talk to me." She said softly. "Nice to meet you offically Two Tone."

“Any time there, Soft Shadow. It’s always nice to get to know more about the pack. If you see me around more, feel free to approach me. I promise, I don’t bite. Much.” The alpha laughed, shaking his head while giving the female healer a small smile. “If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.” The male gave a small nod towards the white she-wolf, turning on his haunches and away from the female.

Soft blushed at the idea of so much attention she was still a rather shy and introvert female, so having the attention of a dominant alpha male was a little strange for her, but she then managed to smile and say. "Thank you Two Tone I will keep that in mind." His comment of biting also made her a little shy and nervous, she was unsure what he meant by that but she could only guess that he was joking. She then looked over her herbs and said "I suppose I should get these off to the healer's den to dry." She said softly.
