Akoto can't remember much about her parents. The tidbits that float in her head show a mother and father placing the girl in the care of an orphanage from a young age and vanishing without so much as a trace. She spent her days getting along with the rest of the kids. While awkward, Akoto would do her best to fit in with numerous difficulties. Coming across the ninja academy one day, she would find herself curious about what they did. Her mother and father had been ninja of the village, a stray dream helping her come across that memory, and the girl suddenly wanted to find some kind of way to reconnect with her parents, would pester her caretaker to sign the papers to enroll. After numerous months of bugging her, Akoto would eagerly begin her enrollment. A short while later, little Akoto would be among the youngest Genin to graduate.

Personality: Xifeng isnt as serious and melodramatic as she tends to give people the impression of. The female is rather sarcastic in nature and tends to handle most conversations with appropriate levels of sass and sarcasm. Always eager for a fight, her aggressive style can land her in some pretty tricky spots, but there's nothing a good sword and a half can't handle, right?

Once she meets her Destined One, however, she becomes a totally different person. When alone or interacting with her bonded, she becomes attentive, caring and a bit protective of them. They're always on her mind and she would give anything to defend them. Regardless of the feelings back Xifeng holds them in the highest regard and will often shadow them in their duties and such. She takes such duties very seriously and is often doting when alone with the bonded. Very little will keep her from them, though will begrudgingly stay out if told to.

The Lao family is an inclusive and rather secretive branch of women, primarily made up of those found from neighboring villages or on the road. Those taken in are trained exclusively in the ways of the house. Combat is trained as front and foremost, turning each and every member of the house into a formidable warrior. Other topics taught, oddly enough, deal with more residential topics. Cooking, conversation, and dance are among the strict curriculum's many classes. These classes continue until the turn of adulthood, where the girls are taught the clan's most important tale. The founder of the clan, Jiunh Lao, was a fearsome warrior in all of the lands. Her reign of the lands was known and feared across the Land of Iron. Yet instead of robbing or poaching, she desired a worthy opponent. One by one, Jiunh bested every opponent she came across. Then on a rainy twilight's eve, she came across a great warrior. Much like every other opponent, they danced across the battlefield in a flash of steel and flesh. But she was bested, kneeling and claiming defeat. Dishonored by her loss, Jiunh allowed her opponent the final blow. Yet he did not deliver such. Instead, the man ordered her to lay her weapon down. Once done, he tore a part of her robe in two and attached it to her upper arm and then his own. "You strike with such fury, such devotion, Jiunh. By this bond we now share, our souls will forever be bound to one another, never to separate. Now rise, and we will march into oblivion." The woman was stunned by such mercy, but traveled alongside the woman, whom introduced himself as Jinchu. The two would continued on, soon falling in love and remaining by one another to the very end.

Xifeng was one of such children to learn the ways of the Lao family. She was found on the side of the road one day, bundled comfortably in a wooden crib, her Ukyo Mizo and a letter, begging for whoever found the girl to give her a good home. Once in the care of the family, young Xi was given her name and quickly put in line with her new siblings. She took these teachings seriously and aimed to find her "Destined One" somewhere out in the world like many girls before her. She rose through the ranks and established herself as one of the fiercest fighters in the clan. Her mysterious abilities, being the manipulation of ink from both her brush and mouth. Though odd by nature, it helped her gain an edge in battle with it's diversity and unexpected style. Xifeng, among many other girls, would be set out upon the world at the age of 20, told to seek out their soul mates and to return only when they had done so.

Unfortunately, Xifeng tended to take the teachings of Jiunh to heart a bit too much. She would walk the roads constantly in search of fights in hopes that she would one day be beaten. Multiple opponents came, each defeated by her worn blade without much effort. She eventually bested the leader of a small time gang, The Lotus, and usurped the position of leadership within. But still, she had yet to meet the person who could best her in combat. To this day, Xifeng continues to search for opponents far and wide, hopeful that she may finally end her search one day.

{Your character's background. Please keep in mind a few things when creating your character's history. All members of this guild start out as D - ranked Genin, or the equivilent. You have taken your classes, you know some basics, you know how to fight on a very simplistic, and small level. This means a history of excessive violence with years of training to be a murderer, or having committed killings or missions, isn't possible. For Tabletop players, you are a level 1 character. For non-tabletop players, you are child with just the bare minimum of skills. A tragic past is fine. A history of some basic training and knowledge might be okay. But severe bonuses? No. Also, please, do not include such things as "graduating top of his/her/they're class". This immediately assumes that everyone of your group is immediately inferior. There are no geniuses, no experts as a genin. Start from the bottom, and work your way up. Explore your history, don't be afraid to ask questions along the way to the Approval Committee if you are struggling!}
