i haven't watched this show ( I totally should) but this song is very beautiful and harmonic.
You so should watch it. It is one of my all time favorite anime. This opening came from the third season. However, the third season was actual a prequel to the first season in a sense and could be watched beforehand, but I kind of liked it in the order in which things were released best.

Lain is one of my fav anime ever, and it makes me both happy and sad that you sort of have to watch it dubbed and subbed side by side because the sub, the characters say things, which they never sub, but with the dub, the Japanese writing, in some of the notes and graffiti (sort of?) isn't translated
My pick is so tough to choose, but I have to go for the opening of my favourite anime of last year, and all round best soundtrack for the entire show.
hehe,i love opening 6 as well.actually i like all of the openings for Naruto Shippuden,there was not one that i didn't like
