It was one of those times where it was best to let the little ones run and play a little - that's what they'd been told, at least. Let the young dragons socialize, build dynamics between them that hadn't existed before due to a simple fact of egg in the way, and perhaps burn off a little of that rough and tumble energy that all young creatures seemed to have.

Playtime was....not something Khazariath rushed into with the enthusiasm that all of his siblings had. D'rok had pondered more than once if it was because of him - he'd also been a bit of a stunted playmate with others his age due to the crippling weight of responsibility that could have come. Khazariath's hadn't been optional.

No. You didn't do this. the young bronze spoke, looking out amongst the other young dragons at play. Certainly, there was a certain yearning to find some spot in there just right for him, but......

Indecision?

No, I- It was just a very big decision. But everything was to Khazariath.

If there was one time of the day that Niselle knew Uvaldoth needed more than any other, it was the group play sessions that were squeezed in between lessons and training and chores and all other manner of dragon care. She loved her little green more than she thought she could love anything in the world - but the fact remained that her lifemate had more energy than she knew what to do with. And the chance to romp and play with her siblings was a good chance to work out at least some of that excess energy.

Of course, there was also the fact that at times, it became necessary to encourage Uvaldoth to branch out a bit and interact with siblings other than her beloved twin. It was important she forge other bonds, after all - as a twin herself, Niselle knew that the bond between Uvaldoth and Wahokinth would always be a powerful one. And it just so happened to catch her eye that one of the dragonets had yet to find a playmate...

Dear heart, shouldn't you play with someone else for a bit? Perhaps your brother there off on the sidelines still?

Uvaldoth paused halfway through wrestling with Wahokinth, her head swiveling to spot just what Hers had mentioned - there on the sidelines was Khazariath, who hadn't joined anyone to play just yet! And that just wouldn't do at all. So with an affectionate boop to her twin's snout, she moved to disentangle herself and took off towards her bronze brother, somehow managing to stop just short of barreling into him. A small mercy, given that she had done just that to one of her other bronze brothers at the hatching feast...

Khazariath! You look lonely. Would you like to come play with me?

Ka'ia hadn't given Argamath another option here. The young Bronze had plenty of energy to spare on a little group play session, and he needed to meet more of his clutchmates properly--convincing him of such, however, had been a pain and a half, to say the least. But even though his lifemate hemmed and hawed plenty about it, they were still here regardless, although Argamath remained pressed firmly to his side as though nothing in the world would move him.
We've gone over this, darling. Ka'ia wasn't a man to beg, but he was starting to think he might have to. Don't be so worried! You're the greatest Bronze to ever be shelled, aren't you?
Oh, absolutely. But--hmm.
So, you'll do spectacularly at any game they throw at you. And even if you didn't-- Ka'ia reached down then, gently caressing one of Argamath's headknobs to take some of the edge off of the idea. That fact remains true. You'll always be wonderful.

He caught sight of another weyrling standing off to the side--and more importantly, a glimmering dragonet by his feet. That was--Khazariath!--yes. Argamath's joy was plenty palpable to Ka'ia, and he looked down to see the green whirls in his dragon's eyes; his next plan came easily enough, and with a gentle nudge to the Bronze, he set off in their direction. It made perfect sense to him; Argamath would have no issues with another metallic, let alone one of his favorite siblings, and if Khazariath managed to come out on top, he'd likely have no hard feelings about it, either. It would work out, he was sure.
You like him, don't you? Why not see if you can entertain each other for a while?
He is...rather exceptional. And I'm sure that between the two of us, we could come up with somethi--

And then there was quite suddenly a Green, skidding to a stop right in front of him. All at once, Argamath's mood went flat.
Unfortunately for him, Ka'ia wasn't about to be deterred.

"D'rok! Niselle!" he called, waving at the two of them--Argamath shot him a look, a few flashes of red in his eyes. "I hope we're not interrupting, but! Would Khazariath and, ah--" Uvaldoth. Argamath says her name as though he was describing his least favorite food, and Ka'ia had to fight the urge to laugh. "--Uvaldoth mind another partner? Argamath needs to stretch his legs a bit."
Why are you like this?
What, sociable? Simple! I like the sound of my own voice.
You're atrocious.

Argamath, Khazariath replied fondly, looking away from the rest of their siblings for but a moment to acknowledge the eldest bronze of the clutch. His attention would be sharply pulled away, however.

There was the smallest hint of guard that threw itself up, only to D'rok, as Uvaldoth came hurdling towards Khazariath. For his part, he remained as poised and presentable as ever, doing his best to not appear startled by his sister's sudden approach. No, this was fine.

Uvaldoth, hello.... he looked from her to the rest of the group, a certain envious panging in his hearts as his eyes passed over her twin brother. Ah, perhaps someday.... I cannot be lonely if you are here - and Argamath as well, Khazariath again looked to their brother, offering a soft, almost inaudible hwenk of invitation to him.

D'rok would just need a minute, maintaining his composure to keep from gushing at how adorable that had been. He'd thought he'd understood the love between a dragon and rider - and oh how wrong he was proven day and day again. He distracted himself from it to wave back at Ka'ia. "You're never interupting - Khazariath was just trying to figure out how to join in without barging in," a problem he noted Uvaldoth didn't have. All the better to not have such reservations.
