There is...something going on right a "hunt" of sorts and puzzle game. So far the first 2 clues have been figured out, but there is still a third. It is to build "the trap" at the end most likely in Alchemy...if my memory serves me even half way decently at this point. I should probably put the SOURCE of all these clues...where it starts in case you want in on the puzzle fun. ^_^
Clue one gives you: This item is soulbound to you.
Clue two gives you: This item is possible off of market but I haven't seen one yet. soulbound to you it has been confirmed all of these are soulbound.
Clue three gives you: Yup also soulbound.
Clue four gives you:
Clue five gives you:
To solve the clues and get to these answers and where to find them....
Clue 1: Was kind of easy if you've seen this kind of puzzle/code before. The puzzle was a serious of numbers...
17:4:2 10:13:4 2:2:2 15:8:1 19:1:5 18:3:1 9:8:4 11:12:5 17:3:5 3:12:8 1:14:2 4:1:6 6:5:1 10:2:1
Now this often times refers to a code regarding a particular book and then it can be various combinations of Page, line, word or paragraph, line, word, and a number of other combinations.
Now to figure out the "book" that is needed to break this code you look to the statement before. What stood out to me were "by-the-book kind" and "done what she was told" and "she knew which rules could never be broken". These few phrases lead me to believe it had to do with the ToS.
Now for me two sections stood out the actually ToS and the Rules and Guidlines. So now tests had to begin on which combinations was correct. Eventually it came down to not Line as I had originally thought, but RULE and the Rules and Guidelines doesn't have a rule 13 so you're left with ToS being the "book". So you go Rule, then Word, then Letter. Eventually you got the answer...
Over the Rainbow
This you then take and add to the end of "https://www.gaiaonline.com/grant?key=" grant link and you are given the Box.
Clue 2: This one you were given a word search puzzle. First you find words relating to St Patrick's Day. For example Shamrock, Charm, Luck, Fairy, etc...
Once you've found these words you disregard them now look at the letters left that weren't used. These letters you gather in order which is...
c d c d b e a a
Then you take those letters and convert them to numbers. This took me a bit to figure out. But eventually the letters convert to...
34342511
After you have this number I...had to hunt for a tip on what to do with this group of numbers. What you do is go your profile, at least that's what I did, remove the group of numbers for your profile and put in this group of numbers and it will take you to Mr. Chompy's profile which is...
At the top of his profile is the stick you need click it and you've got it.
Clue 3: Was a troublesome one for me. The clue...
Clue #3
ZUCLS
U ZUCLS, MIGYNCGYM MJYFFYX ZUYLCY IL ZUYLS, CM U FYAYHXULS WLYUNOLY QBI YRCMNM CH HOGYLIOM FCNYLULS UHX ZIFEFILCW NLUXCNCIHM. Made no sense but eventually someone indicated that you take the letter you start with so for the first word Z is the first letter from it you count 6 spaces forward in the alphabet which would give you F. You do this for every letter in the clue which will eventually give you...
FAIRY
A FAIRY, SOMETIMES SPELLED FAERIE OR FAERY, IS A LEGENDARY CREATURE WHO EXISTS IN NUMEROUS LITERARY AND FOLKLORIC TRADITIONS. FAIRIES ARE OFTEN DESCRIBED AS TINY SPRITES THAT RESEMBLE HUMANS AND POSSESS MAGICAL POWERS. SOME STORIES DEPICT FAIRIES AS TRICKSTERS WHO ENJOY PLAYING PRANKS. IN OTHER TALES, FAIRIES ARE PAINTED AS MALEVOLENT BEINGS WHO ACTIVELY SEEK TO HARM. AS BOTH VARIANTS ARE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS, PEOPLE HAVE SOUGHT DIVERSE MEANS OF PROTECTING THEMSELVES AND KEEPING THESE ENCHANTED ENTITIES AWAY.
Which was solved first by GriffinFire. I never would have gotten there without them.
Now the next part took a lot of thinking and trial and error. I was eventually going in the right direction when it was solved. They keep mentioning the dangers and needing to protect one's self from them so the answer you imput to the end of a key grant is "talismanforprotection" and that will give you the final item one needs which is the string.
Apparently others also realized there is a Talisman of Good and a Talisman of Evil. In the description is the item you need click it.
Clue 4: Was a bugger! The clue...
Clue #4
When I was very young, there was this poem my gran would always recite to me. It was so long ago, but let me see how much of it I can remember…
Where dips the _____ _____ _____ _____ _____ _____ _____ lake, There lies a leafy island Where flapping _____ _____ _____ _____ _____ _____; There we've hid our faery vats, Full of berries, And _____ _____ _____ _____. Come away, O human child! To the waters and the wild With a faery, hand in hand, For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.
Where the wave of _____ _____ _____ _____ gray sands with light, Far off by furthest Rosses We foot it all the night, _____ _____ _____, Mingling hands and mingling glances Till _____ _____ has taken flight; _____ _____ _____ we leap And chase the frothy bubbles, While the world is full of troubles And is anxious in its _____. Come away, O human child! To the waters and the wild With a faery, hand in hand, For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.
We figured out it was an old poem...
The Stolen Child W. B. Yeats - 1865-1939
Where dips the rocky highland Of Sleuth Wood in the lake, There lies a leafy island Where flapping herons wake The drowsy water rats; There we've hid our faery vats, Full of berrys And of reddest stolen cherries. Come away, O human child! To the waters and the wild With a faery, hand in hand, For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.
Where the wave of moonlight glosses The dim gray sands with light, Far off by furthest Rosses We foot it all the night, Weaving olden dances Mingling hands and mingling glances Till the moon has taken flight; To and fro we leap And chase the frothy bubbles, While the world is full of troubles And anxious in its sleep. Come away, O human child! To the waters and the wild With a faery, hand in hand, For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.
After that we were stumped. Once again GriffinFire to the rescue! He took the number of syllables from each consecutive string of missing words and plugged it in as a thread number, and found the bait. It's on...
HERE The cake between the banner and words.
Clue 5 was murder....
Clue #5
I’m wearing green in honor of my gran. It was her favorite color. She said it reminded her of home. She would often gaze out across the sea with a far-off look in her eye.
_ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
It took us ALL DAY to finally get the answer to this crossword puzzle as it was various shades of Green.
Then we had to unscramble the letters in white which eventually gave us...
promo/awaywiththefairies
We then plug this in to... https://www.gaiaonline.com/.... we put it here at the end and we get our answer. Which gives you this which you then click and open to get your prize.
OH BOY what a job it was but everyone came together in their own way to solve it!
