Abilities:
> He uses auras of living beings to navigate When born he inherited his mother's high sensitivity to energies. He still can't see the world itself around him, but every living being's rawest element is energy which generates their auras which is what Rhun picks up. Though he can't see the world around him, he uses the energies to map the surroundings in his mind. By doing so he can still 'see' the world in a way much like how one could imagine a mind's image of someone they know very well. Of course in Rhun's case he doesn't know the colors, shape of bushes etc in Soleil, just Saela in his early years, and only has to go by where they are and what way they are moving, though he can feel from the aura how big or long something is. Alternatively he can feel around with his hands to make a more detailed view of the bushes, animal or person or by asking colors of for example one's hair or eyes so he can link the aura to it. Otherwise this ability mostly generates the surroundings in his mind with shapes he does know and he can't use it on inanimate objects since they don't generate auras. A weakness of this though is that he can still not calculate rocks, stone, furniture and the like since he can't use his Aura ability when there is no aura to use as aid. So it is still important for him that his home is set up in a way that he knows it well to optimally be able to live by himself. If there is to much energy going on he can sometimes mix up the signals but it has to be extremely busy for that. At such times Rhun has to fall back on hearing and feeling.

Personality:
Despite his loss of sight, Rhun is a very friendly and cheerful young man. He likes to look at the bright side of things and will always look for optimism. He is not immune to despair, but he can take a lot of heartache before he gets there. He is a peaceful person and doesn't like fighting or arguments at all. He feels anxious if people are fighting. Though he will not try to break them up, he will try to stay out of the way. He is friendly to all but he has his caution, directly linked back to his impairment since he can't see how people react unless they make an audible sound or he feels it through physical contact. As such he has a big fear of drowning or falling as well. Since he can't see his environment, he has to be careful around large bodies of water where he is unable to stand or steep cliffs.
Bio:
Rhun is born in Saela, Odoraen. But he only lived there for about a year before his parents moved to Ystysti to be closer to relatives. His first years were quite normal for any elven child really. Considering children are rare with elves he didn't really have another to play with but they kept him well entertained and as soon as he could watch himself well enough the boy could often be found in the forest surrounding Ystysti. It was a great place to grow up. Despite the lack of friends around his age, he found companions in others living around him. This included some of the water dwelling creatures. In fact at first Rhun could often be found diving with them and exploring caverns under water that he could reach with the help of his Water Nymph friends. It was on a day much like those that everything suddenly took a turn for the worst. While Rhun was diving in the lake a storm suddenly broke loose above the forest and made it hard for him to see underwater so he was guided safely to land.
Just as he got out of the water though a large crack of thunder could be heard and the boy panicked. He quickly said bye to his friends and made a run for it to get to Ystysti and safely to his parents. The floor was wet and slippery rather quickly and at one of the higher areas he slipped and couldn't stop himself causing the young boy to fall pretty deeply and hit his head. Next thing he remembers is waking up in the healer's home still very cold, with a headache and unable to see. The healer said they didn't know if it was permanent or not, but Rhun's sight never returned. First he was very depressed about that but he soon learned other ways of getting around. He had always been rather sensitive to energies and as the years went on he learned to feel auras which made walking around a whole lot easier. He still needed an environment that doesn't change since his parents soon found out that items like tables and chairs didn't work out for his new found ability. By now he is a grown elf however and despite his blindness he is looking to spread his wings to live on his own. Since he loves the warmer environments, his choice fell on Soleil and he decided to move there to experience something new. His parents still worry, but they wish him the best and to live his own life as he wants to live it.
After living in Soleil for a while, Rhun has become quite known with the streets and areas and he can confidently move about now without relying on his aura ability overmuch. He has also made some friends. He loves meeting up with them, but Pellumb is definitely the most prominent of them. Perhaps it is because they are both blind and use different ways to find their way which can actually help each other in different situations. Rhun loves listening to Pellumb play as well.
Rhun has had flashes of light in his sight that always seem to come out of the blue. This happened spread out but now is also becoming more frequent. While it holds promising aspects for his sight, it does distort his ability to feel auras and use them to figure out his surroundings. While the light never lasts and the aura ability returns after it’s gone, it does disturb the highelf as he doesn’t really know what is going on.

Does finding his way rather quickly count? o.0 He is not a bad cook for the recipes he can learn from braille recipe books, as long as his kitchen isn't being changed around and everything is where it should be. (He made the lay out of his kitchen the same as at home as much as possible.

Doesn't get sick easily, but he is blind so is a little more prone to accidents when in new environments.
Strengths:
His drawing skills and his feeling for auras. They really help him a large deal.
Weakness:
He can't notice anyone coming from afar as he needs to be relatively near to feel their aura. Though he can feel ahead enough to not bump into people, he is unable to to if they are to far away from him or approach to quickly. It is also not unusual for him to trip or walk into things if he gets careless.
