The attic of Rhun's home though he himself never goes there. Since he is blind he prefers to stay on the ground floor, though he goes to the first floor as well. Just the attic is something he doesn't mess with. Perhaps it can be re-purposed in a different way later on.
Ground Floor Bedroom:
This is where Rhun sleeps and it has a door to it from the Living room in the back.Liking to keep the nature close as possible he has filled it up with plants. Which also helps him in finding his way.
Guest Bedroom:
The bedroom on the second floor. This is set up for possible guests that Rhun might receive that will stay for a day or more. It has a whole different look to it than his own bedroom since he has some help from the family in cleaning the house (against his own wishes but he accepted it as he knows it is harder on his parents than himself that he struck out on his own.)
Bathrooms:
The bathroom has been filled with plants as well. Not only does Rhun love nature, he uses them as living beacons as to where he is going around his house, using their auras. The bath is round and very large that could easily fit three people in it and the shelves are filled with nature scents like Bamboo, Lily of the Valley, Lavender and more. The roof has been replaced with double glass to provide a lot of sun for the plants around the bathroom. Behind the bath is a shower head for those that prefer a shower over a bath.
Living Room:
This room has actually been kept modest as it was furnished the same layout as he is used to at home. Though it has been given a seamless wallpaper to fit the natural theme of the rest of the house. There is a tv but that is more for guests, Rhun himself prefers the radio which almost always is turned on with calming music with nature ambiance mixed into it.
Kitchen:
His kitchen has been kept similarly modest since it also receives guests. Thanks to it being the same layout as the kitchen at his parental home, he already finds his way really well through it. There are some potted plants being grown with herbs ready for cooking, but other than that it's a kitchen like any other.
Conservatory:
Rhun didn't really have use for a garage so his family has helped him turn it into a connected conservatory. The room is filled with plants and there are two parrots flying free. Though they have cages, Rhun never closes them, but the birds stay near him either in the conservatory or outside. One bird follows him nearly everywhere but he has been house trained.

❁The day started like any normal day would for Rhun really. Though he was elsewhere than his parental home the morning didn't change. Like usual, while she was there, his mother walked into his room and to the curtains to open them. Not for her son as it didn't benefit him but to open the window and letting fresh air in before she would turn to the sleeping elf. She smiled, perhaps with a hint of sadness knowing this was the last day she would be waking him up. The lady walked to the bed and gently placed a hand on the young man's shoulder before softly shaking him a bit. "Wake up my dear Rhun. The day has started already and I would like to spend some time before I leave." she said, her voice gentle like the ringing of bells. Her singing voice was rather sought after at their home.
❁Her wording was a bit off since this was what happened everyday normally. Not because she wanted to spend some time, but today was extra important to her. Rhun stirred a bit in the bed before he opened his eyes. Of course he was met with darkness as always but he was used to it by now. The young man smiled a bit and stretched. "I am getting up." he replied a little sleepy still but his voice was similar to hers, just deeper which would tell anyone he was, in fact, male. "Right, good man. I will get the tea set up." she said and rubbed his arm for a moment before her touch left Rhun as she walked to the door. She didn't leave right away however. She wanted to make sure that the male could find his way alright enough in this new environment. For as far as Rhun was aware however she was in the kitchen by now.
❁Rhun got out of his bed and carefully walked to the door that connected his bedroom to his bathroom. It helped a lot that the lay out was kept the same from back home. Without much trouble the elf found his way to the bathroom door and he walked in at which point his mother finally went on ahead to the kitchen though she was still rather on edge about the bathroom. Never had she imagined it would be this difficult to let go of her son. But it was time. Rhun didn't really take long this round, he knew how his mother felt after the last few days with her. Both his parents had helped him set up the house but his father had to return earlier than planned. After a quick but thorough shower, Rhun dried himself off, brushed his teeth and hair and walked back to his room to get dressed.
❁It was funny how his mother fussed in a way. Especially after convincing a friend to visit once a week to make sure everything was in order. They were even paying her to do it, since she would miss out on some work while at Soleil. Rhun had reluctantly agreed. At least until he would have found a way to let himself know which clothing was where in his closet. He could take care of himself perfectly fine but his mother had been adamant. Once he was all done Rhun made his way into the kitchen using all the plants for beacons as he meant them to be. Without incident he arrived at the kitchen which was also the same layout as he was used to and he sat down at the kitchen table. They spend about two hours together before she, too, had to go and once all was quiet in the house, Rhun felt relieved in some way. But also kind of overwhelmed as he had never been on his own.
❁Still it was the big chance he had been waiting for and he smiled a bit to himself. He was finally on his own. Something most elves would already have been some hundred years ago. Of course he knew he wasn't completely like everyone else, but he did like to be treated equally. Rhun had closed the door behind him and made his way back to the living room. The way he set up the house the plants 'showed' him the way once he passed close enough to feel their energy in the more unknown areas which were setup differently. So far it was going alright and the elf wanted to get a feel for his neighborhood as quickly as he could so he was getting ready to go out. It was time for his new life to finally start. A life completely his own.[EXIT]

He can feel auras of any living being. People as well as Flora and Fauna. That is how he is able to find his way. However since inanimate objects have no aura, he can't 'see' them. He is also not able to determine if people are good or bad. He just notices them and can avoid walking into them unless they go really fast.

❁ It had been an early start for this day. Very early. Their family friend who came checking up on him at times came extra early on Rhun's request. He wanted to go out and buy a smartphone he could use with his disability so he could have a way of contacting his new friend. Of course it was paramount that it was sensitive to speech to text, since Rhun could not see the screen or even see the phone for that matter. They had come over and went to the store first thing and then she walked him through the possibilities he had with this smartphone. Their friend also hooked it up to his smart system which he used to control the radio or other electric devices. though these machines had been a shock at first, by now the flexible high elf wondered how he ever managed without them. Since their friend traveled and knew a lot about the latest inventions, she was the perfect person to accompany him. By now Rhun was sitting on the couch as he held the smartphone and his unseeing gaze aimed on the screen so it would pick up his voice before anything else. Thankfully it was connected to google. He had just added the phone number he had been given but he hoped he remembered it correctly. Thankfully he did have a good memory. "Hey google send a message to Pëllumb." he said and waited for the tone that would tell him it was ready.
❁ Once he heard it, the young man would dictate the words that would be in the message. "Hello Pëllumb, this is Rhun. I hope I remembered the number well. I finally got that phone, so now we can keep in touch this way. Speaking of which, do you want to meet up if you have the time? Let me know." he said and then listened to screen reader repeating the message that was written on screen and smiled happily. It seemed to really work, this was amazing! "Ok google, send the message." he said and once he heard the sound of sent, Rhun carefully ran his finger over the side, located the lock button and turned off the screen for now before putting it in the pocket of his robe. Despite the more modern area, Rhun still preferred these. Now all he could do was wait until his friend heard the message and replied. The high elf got up from the couch and walked to the kitchen where he went straight for the coffee machine without hesitation. It really had been a brilliant idea of his parents to furnish his house exactly the same as his parental home was. Even with no one else in the house, Rhun could navigate easily and he didn't need anyone near him to be able to live his life. Granted it was quiet at times, but it felt good to be more independent.
❁ The high elf made himself some coffee and walked back to the couch before sitting down with the drink and leaning back. He was eager to find out if this sending of the message worked as they intended. If it did then he had made one more step into an actual, sort of, normal life. He also looked forward to meeting up with Pëllumb again. They were really nice and they even shared a disability: their sight. This meant they knew what the other went through at times when familiar situations happened. And it might be a bit easier to talk about it too. Not that Rhun needed to, he had long given this loss a place in his life. But he would definitely help his friend out if they needed it. The young man decided to relax a bit and leaned back as he reclined on the couch for a moment before giving his smart system the command for turning on the radio. It didn't take long before calm, soothing music played through the house, Rhun's favorite. He didn't do much else though as he wanted to be ready in case Pëllumb indeed had time and wanted to meet up somewhere.

He uses auras of living beings to navigate When born he inherited his mother's high sensitivity to energies. He still can't see the world itself around him, but every living being's rawest element is energy which generates their auras which is what Rhun picks up. Though he can't see the world around him, he uses the energies to map the surroundings in his mind. By doing so he can still 'see' the world in a way much like how one could imagine a mind's image of someone they know very well. Of course in Rhun's case he doesn't know the colors, shape of bushes etc in Soleil, just Saela in his early years, and only has to go by where they are and what way they are moving, though he can feel from the aura how big or long something is. Alternatively he can feel around with his hands to make a more detailed view of the bushes, animal or person or by asking colors of for example one's hair or eyes so he can link the aura to it. Otherwise this ability mostly generates the surroundings in his mind with shapes he does know and he can't use it on inanimate objects since they don't generate auras. A weakness of this though is that he can still not calculate rocks, stone, furniture and the like since he can't use his Aura ability when there is no aura to use as aid. So it is still important for him that his home is set up in a way that he knows it well to optimally be able to live by himself. If there is to much energy going on he can sometimes mix up the signals but it has to be extremely busy for that. At such times Rhun has to fall back on hearing and feeling.
It was another new day in Soleil. Thankfully the trouble seemed to have gone and the city was once again back in peaceful tranquility. At least, Pasadena was when Rhun woke up. After a light yawn he sat up a bit and after a quick comment sent to the smart device he had around the house he was given the current time, date and weather. It was still relatively early, but he was awake already anyway. He might as well get up. The highelf got to the edge of his bed carefully and after a quick moment of orientation he could tell which side of the room he was facing thanks to auras of the plants, of which two larger ones always stood at the doorways. Rhun smiled a bit and made his way to the door that had the smaller plants to each side, indicating it was his bathroom and walked in. It was really nice to live independently. It had been a while now since he started his life in Soleil and so far it suited him well. He had even made a new friend around the city. Rhun took a quick shower and dried himself before he brushed his teeth and hair and then got to the closet where each type of clothing had it's own braille naming and he got an outfit ready for the day. For a moment he was debating to send Pëllumb a message, but he didn't want to turn into a nuisance so he decided not to this day. Instead he got to the kitchen and started to work on his breakfast.
If someone who didn't know about Rhun's condition would see him in the kitchen, they might consider him just one of the seeing. But of course the elf was totally blind, the only reason he was able to make himself breakfast and tea was because everything in the kitchen was meticulously furnished to be the exact same to the kitchen he had been used to for hundreds of years back at his parental home. Once he was done, the young man took the meal to the living room with him and turned on the radio with another voice comment. The first thing it played was music but then it started about the news, which was what Rhun was waiting for. It told him that the weather was better than it had been, though still chilly and that whatever had been going on had ended alright for the victims. That was good news indeed. Rhun spent the rest of the day in his house and just relaxed between chores. He had no plans with anyone so he didn't need to rush or go out. It was a nice relaxing day at the house. When it got nearer to the evening, the highelf sat on his couch with a nice audiobook, cuddled up in a warm blanket as he listened to the story. It was probably time to sleep soon.

It had been a slow start for Rhun that day. With the cold that was currently holding on the area, he wasn’t as quick in getting up. But once he did he took a shower and got dressed at once. The highelf was quick to grab the unusual clothes he wasn’t exactly used to, but here in Soleil it kept him warmer than his robes did. Once he was done for the day, Rhun was dressed in black jeans, a gray shirt and a warm hoodie with a wolf on it. He wasn’t even sure what was on it himself. It had been a gift from their family friend, but since the young man was unsighted, he couldn’t tell how it looked. Or if this outfit suited him at all. He didn’t worry about that though, it was warm and that was all that counted. Rhun ate a quick breakfast and cleaned up before he pondered what to this day. Immediately he thought about his friend Pellumb.
It had been a while since they met up to do something together. The highelf smiled and picked up his mobile which he knew was next to him before he activated it with his voice and narrated a message to be sent to his friend with a question.
”Katze Allemon-Schatten”
Goodmorning my friend, I hope all is well with you. It has been a while since we met up. Would you fancy getting a coffee together?
As always he asked the device to repeat the message back to check for any mistakes, but satisfied it was correct, Rhun told it to send to his friend. He then put away the phone and went to water his plants around his home. After that he sat down to wait for a reply before he would make any other plans for this day. If Pellumb was willing to meet up, then the elf preferred to have a completely free schedule. The elf turned on the radio with his preferred music with ambient sounds which made the room feel like a forest. As if on queue the blue parrot flew in from the conservatory with the open door to the living room. Rhun chuckled when he heard the beats of the wings and it’s call nearby. "Well hello there. I haven’t heard you come to me for a long time. Did the move upset you?" he asked as he looked in the general direction of the sound.
Soon enough the bird landed on his shoulder and rubbed his head against the elf’s neck. Rhun smiled and gently rubbed their chest once he found it. "The cold here must be as shocking to you as it was for me. I hope the room is warm enough." he pondered out loud and the parrot cawed before saying “warm enough.” The highelf nodded. "I’m glad to hear that." This parrot was the more studied one. The other, green one, struggled with the speech part.

What was time anymore? It had been such a long while since Pëllumb had been out in the world that his perception of day and night had warped. Not that it generally mattered: part of his family was human or dhampir and the other was vampire, so there were always relatives up and about regardless of the hour. As a dhampir, he could function just as well in the dark as he could during the day, so even as a child this cycle had meant little. To that effect, he had been just about to go to bed when his phone alerted him to a text from a contact. With a sigh he shuffled over to the sound’s point of origin and picked up the device. Picking up the phone, he unlocked it with a thumbprint then had it read aloud the message. ”Is it morning? I guess I should be starting my day then.” Amongst a city full of non-vampires, a diurnal lifestyle seemed the only practical option unless he wanted Armin to do everything in the day, but then Armin wouldn’t be available when he was awake. So tedious. A few voice commands later and he had a response up for his friend:
“Rhun Tolihzeh”
It has been far too long, my dear Rhun. I am doing quite well, thank you for asking. i hope the winter has treated you kindly. I would be delighted to meet you for coffee, and in turn I would like to invite you to the grand winter ball that is being held at Saisons. Either way, I shall pick you up in, say, twenty minutes?
He called for Armin, who, as was his want, seemed to be waiting just around the corner. ”Armin, I am going on a coffee date with my friend Rhun. Would you please see to picking my attire and preparing the car? Oh, there is a chance I will be attending that ball near the beach, please pick something out for that as well and keep it at the ready just in case.” ”Yes sir,” was all Armin said before setting off to do his appointed tasks. In the meantime, Pëllumb would take a quick shower then comb out his hair. It took only a few minutes for Armin to get dressed in something warm. He wasn’t entirely sure what he was wearing, but Armin had a suitable eye for fashion and a healthy respect for practicality. Whatever it was, it undoubtedly suited him and would serve him well. Armin had the car waiting with the back door perfectly aligned with the end of the walk, still, Armin met his master a few feet from the vehicle and helped him climb in. ”To Master Rhun’s abode, sir?” ”Yes, quite right. And you know he would be embarrassed if he ever heard you call in such a name. And you really needn’t be so formal when it is just the two of us.” ”Unless it bothers you, I would appreciate it if you would let me be formal with you. Not out of any lack of affection, but because it properly reflects my respect and admiration for you, sir.” Pëllumb smiled and shook his head. ”I do not know what you see in me that is so worthy of admiration, but you humble me with your words. Of course you may still be formal, since it is what you desire.” About ten minutes later the car pulled up, empty seat facing the end of Rhun’s walk. Pëllumb sent him a quick text saying they were here whilst Armin got out of the driver’s seat and waited by the car so that he might open the door for Rhun and help him settle in, if need be.

Rhun got up while he waited for the reply of his friend and walked to the cupboard he knew the bird feed was. His friend from back home always made sure that he always had a supply as well since he has the two parrots. Of course the elf had fed them and refreshed their water daily but this was the first time one of them left the room, especially now with the cold outside as the room was kept heated well. A magic barrier ensured that the heat stayed inside that room and the colder air out. Rhun was just refilling the feed bowl that was on a table in the room when he heard his mobile go off. He smiled and took it from his pocket and had it read the message out loud. For a moment he was surprised at the end of the message. He hadn’t heard anything about a ball happening today, not even from his family friend. The highelf made a mental note to ask help with his outfit since luckily, his help would visit today. Unlike his friend, Rhun didn’t have a constant tender nearby.

Rhun sent the message on when done and finished his feeding and refreshing the water for his parrots before he got ready for the day. He also made sure to let Serelle know about the ball tonight and asked if she could help him with the right outfit for it. It didn’t take long for her to reply and she seemed ecstatic about the outing. Though she seemed to be getting the wrong impression, that was for a later date to let her know they were friends, not lovers. Right now he had to be ready for when he was picked up. Granted he didn’t need long as he was already done for the day more or less. Just a few more chores and when the time came that Pëllumb sent his arrival message, the highelf put on his jacket and walked out of the house, locked the door and walked down the path of his garden which he already knew well. He smiled when he heard footsteps which he assumed were Armin’s and his guess was validated when he felt the support of the man as he helped him get into the car, which was not a machine he was very familiar with yet, though it wasn’t his first time in one. "Thank you for the help Armin. I am glad we could meet up again today, Pëllumb." Rhun said looking at Armin and then turned to his friend as he spoke to them in turn.
He had to admit that these cars were quite comfortable for the colder weather outside. The parrot had stayed inside when Rhun left the house and returned to the heated room. During the ride, the highelf was happy to speak with Pëllumb again and he hoped that they would meet more often than they had, though he well understood life could be busy. It wasn’t that long before they arrived at the cafe though and it was time to get out and inside the building. Rhun hoped that Armin would join them too as he would feel bad if they were left outside. But he wasn’t sure how it worked between the two. Perhaps Armin would go back to the house or elsewhere instead.
