At a recent Institute for Creation Research event, we passed out cards so the audience could submit questions for an upcoming Q&A session. Interestingly, several folks asked the same thing: Why don’t we find human remains in all the vast rock layers from Noah’s Flood? Though it’s a popular question, it carries one big assumption. Once that’s exposed, possible answers become more clear.

Because it wasn't a worldwide flood. It was localized. To Noah it was the whole world since mass communication and travel were not as simple back then.

Gen 7:19 KJV - 19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.

It is a modern interpretation that it was just some region around the Mesopotamian area that was flooded but the Bible says under the whole of heaven. That is a pretty universal phrasing.

We have no proof of a global flood, period.

The massive fossil graveyards around the world? Fossils buried in sediments deposited by water?

Animals live and die all the time. That does nothing to prove the account of a worldwide flood true. The world was once covered in water, yes, but that was long before any complex lifeforms were living on it.
