The moment she had heard of Snow Rabbit calling for sparring partners, Harvest Moon made sure she was the very first in line.... If any were to hand her father his tail, she was set on being the first.
Not that she undervalued his skill- he was alpha for a reason, and she looked up to him greatly, the wolf that underestimated him as old and blind would be the wolf to fall... He was keen, and experienced, of that she didn't fool herself. But she had been training too, in her time away... And she fancied that he had not truly taking notice of it, either, if for no reason other than the fact she had avoided him while she could.
Now, however... There was a chance to both vent her frustration, and prove herself. And she had quite a bit to prove...
"I do hope you're prepared to meet the other wolves to meet fangs with you today," The trial had started- and yet Harvest stalled, eyes scanning the chosen dueling grounds carefully for leverage, "I'd hate to steal the pleasure after the first duel..."
She didn't want to rely entirely on trees unless she had to- it was of her training, yes, but there was fear that Snow Rabbit's footing might not be quite so sure, and despite her confidence, she had no desire to truly harm the alpha. Still- there were benefits that could not be denied, even without scaling them... Snow Rabbit's senses were sharp, even if he was blind. The first step would be to properly blind him.
With a sudden snarl, she kicked off from the ground, scattering some convenient stones in the opposite direction with the force of her leap, as unlikely it was that her alpha would fall for that, running to get purchase on the trunk, to scramble just high enough for the higher ground to push off of, aiming for Snow Rabbit's face with a snarl- aiming for the muzzle. All the better if she could pin him, but if she could fill that nose with the scent of blood... All the harder to track her.
