Continuity Factors::
• Looking for all sorts of family; aunts, uncles, siblings, cousins, you name it!
• Trial by Fire(deceased) was the previous Chief and father to Catch Fire, Last Ash and Theft of Fire
• Origin Story is their mother and currently displaced outside the pack.
• Most extended family will resemble Origin Story as previous line of Chiefs had no male heir; Trial by Fire assumed the title when life-mated to Origin Story. It is possible Trial by Fire also has siblings still alive and within rank.
• Origin Story had three total litters. Her first at the age of three, second at the age of five then her last at seven years old. So the youngest would be a little over a year old now, the middle litter over three years. Catch Fire, Last Ash and Theft of Fire are five years of age.
• Theft of Fire is available for custom-in, as well as siblings from the other litters.

Personality: Once quiet and unfocused in his youth due to the circumstances of his entry to the pack, Evergloam quickly has grown to be a papa bear of sorts. There are leadership qualities in him - a will to see things through, awareness of his responsibility in his actions and words, and an honesty that can sometimes be painful - but something keeps him from stepping up. Perhaps it's his want to see others shine or, more likely, his absolute terror of failing. Something has caused him to believe only the worst possible thing can happen if he takes point. In most cases, the only time he'll step up is in the act of protecting another, regardless of bodily harm to himself.

He's since taken up Warden of the First in the wake of the raid, though that doesn't mean he's entirely comfortable with it yet. Evergloam seems more the reluctant soldier than the upstanding leader he has the potential to be.

Mentoring seems to be his favorite hobby, though only in an informal sense. Evergloam loves to learn and then give those seeds of knowledge to others so that they may grow elsewhere. He seems to have a knack for knowing tics and quirks about others especially, as his intuition is rather strong, though he would pale at the idea of using it for anything other than gentle teasing. Indeed despite his size and strength, he's a pushover in general.

The only surefire way to make the berserker angry is in seeing him fail or make mistakes. There, one might see the rare instance of Evergloam truly embodying his species' name, reacting with rather inappropriate amounts of anger. To circumvent this, he tries to stay in the background and be more of a support to others.

Evergloam's litter came into the world as a conflict rather than a product of joy. Evergloam himself as the first-born male was treasured by their father as his would-be successor, but his younger siblings (and in particular his brother PhoenixAsh) were seen as pointless wastes of resources in the Waylands. Their mother fled south to avoid potential violence and abuses, and for a short time the four found a semblance of peace among the dead forest. The caves especially, with their bioluminescent moss, earthy scents, and strange crystals, became something of a home.

Unfortunately, a single mother with rather young pups is always at risk to be preyed upon - let alone a species that has never been seen before, and therefore is treated as Other, in a land she doesn't know. Set upon by a pack of starving coyotes, their mother sacrificed herself to stave them off long enough to get the children away. "Protect them!" she had ordered Evergloam as they fled. Perhaps it was too much to ask a pup to do, but Evergloam had tried to keep his siblings safe. Within a few days, however, the stress became too much, and the coyotes found them again. He doesn't remember much, beyond fighting, fleeing, pain, fear, and a sheen of red mist over his vision.

The Fire Bringer member that eventually found him half-dead claimed the only things he said were: "look", "for" and "ever". Those words haunt him still, though he doesn't quite know what they mean. The closest he's come to recollecting is his choice of dye, a strange pale green meant to mimic moss, evoking the smells of his childhood in an unknown place.

Growing up in the pack, he felt like he was always missing something. Evergloam's memory was filled with holes, and he actively avoided looking too deeply at it in fear of the nightmares that might come back to him - of losing something dear because he was too weak. Such was his need to "complete" himself that Evergloam was an oddly submissive youth, shouldering compliments and insults alike with a gentle giant's patience; it never felt like it was much about him so much as it was about others, anyway. He extended kindness to kinsmen and strangers alike, the latter of which eventually led to betrayal and murder. Only then did his fear of responsibility get shattered by the reality that if he continued to cower, more horrifying events like this could happen.

The moment he learned about the position of Warden of the First, a fire lit within him that he couldn't explain. This, he had to protect, just like he had to protect the pack. The drive was bone-deep, necessary as breathing - and until an ethereal appears to fulfill that niche, he will hover over all pack members alike with doglike stubbornness. Maybe even after.

Personality: Curious, skeptical, giving
History: Before the attack, she was a prolific and ruthless hunter, almost always bringing something back for the rest of the pack. However, though she was *good* at hunting, something had always felt empty in the pit of her stomach. It was a place that had never been full and so she thought it was probably normal and never spoke to anyone about not feeling fulfilled or truly contented. However, when the attack happened, with the chaos everywhere and wounded all over, she drew on knowledge she'd gathered about plants over the years and tended to any injured she came upon that she could lend aid to, wolves that were still able to be saved, sitting with those few who could not so they did not have to pass alone. In slipping through the shadows, healing and passing messages and gathering information, helping the other pack members to survive, that hole in her soul filled and she felt strangely happy in spite of the horror around her. She tried to return to hunting but went to the pack leader after a couple of weeks, described her experience and confessed that she'd like to become the pack apothecary instead, a request which she was exceedingly grateful to have granted. Now she lends all sorts of aid to the pack, from whelping to minor cuts and bumps, and still sometimes goes out on the hunt with the hunters, both to catch extra prey in lean times and to tend more immediately to any wolf who catches a stray hoof or beak in a target's fight to survive.
