Kumoimine Keep is the epicenter of politics in Kumoito and the Lightning Empire. A palace constructed within the boundaries of the former Village Hidden among the Clouds is the official residence of Emperor Chosokabe and his wife.
Kumoimine Keep was an on-going project as wartime conquests to unify the northern nations of the continent and whipping out the UHV regimes were the prime goals of the last Raikage who wanted to solidify peace. The palace was completed within a year's time from Shiro claiming control after the previous Daimyo was assassinated. As the leader in the foreground of a new, expanding military the construction and completion of Kumoimine Keep was a statement point the new Emperor held little restraint from exhibiting another mark of his commitment to the nation as soon as he could. This fortification saw the rise of its Emperor and the later addition of its Empress.
• In Shiro's taste of exhibiting the strength of the nation is reflected in the most exterior gate of the Keep with a grand, fortified gate in constant scrutiny under Keep guards. • A display of Kumoito’s roots in Kumogakure is apparent as a collection of maps, photographs, and information regarding the previous Raikage including Raikage Kaileer.

Tier Kyūden | 80000 A kyuden is a feudal palace, of massive scale and fortification. Kyuden are rare in the countries, and there is only one kyuden per district, which may only be purchased by one Shokō. Shokō are akin to feudal princes, and are the de facto community leaders within their respective districts, whether or not this status has been sanctioned by the daimyo. These buildings typically hold over a few dozen rooms with chefs, maids, laborers and even soldiers within, as well as large yards, and often even entire forests or mountains encompassed by their individual territory.
The benefit of possessing a kyuden is that the owner of the palace may create a second thread that will essentially mirror a village thread, as they own their own town. This thread can be a market, a hot springs, etc... and follows the same rules as a home in that the owner of this thread can use this to RP separately from even their residence. Additionally, lore-wise, the Shokō ruling this residence is given high prestige and may use this residence as the enclave of a faction - if approved by the Kage. Rogues must request crew approval.

•Barracks | 40,000 Barracks House the Guards for an estate. To begin purchasing guards one must first purchase a Barracks. Per every [3000] Ryo spent a guardsman is stationed of a Rank equal to [X] per every [3000] Ryo spent up to [C]. These guardsmen do not leave the location they are assigned but have no limitations to their designs or skill sets. They also cannot use these skill sets to influence anything outside of their place of residence as it is a breach in contract. Even when forced or compelled to do so these guardsmen die of mysterious causes in such events.
•Armory | 45,000 The Armory allows the user to make 1 additional custom item that does not count against their custom item total. The armory also increases the rank of present Guardsmen by [1] and gives them access to weapons with elemental affinities. Guards up to B-rank may be stationed. •Treasury | 25,000 The Treasury creates interest as you leave your money in the hands of intelligible market men. Every IRL [ 2 - weeks] the total amount of Ryo in a Treasury increase by [1.25x] the current amount inside. However, one should be careful as a Treasury is subject to being robbed and the owner losing all their assets inside. All members of the residence can deposit their savings into the house Treasury.
•Private Hot Spring | 45,000 Accompanied by pure relaxation and the opportunity for meditation, without the interference of unwanted individuals, the hot spring allows for the relaxed shinobi to expand their mind and acquire [two] additional custom technique slots. {This benefit does not stack with visits to other private hotsprings} This bonus is granted to officially listed owners/residents in a single residence.
•Health Room | 50,000 A health room is one operated by a nurse or even live-in doctor, with medical equipment, antibiotics and other medicines. These rooms can be used to perform transplant surgeries, and any home with one such room can give your character 200 chakra and 200 stamina as a permanent addition to their resource pools. This bonus is given only once and cannot exceed the 5,000 resource limit. This bonus is granted to officially listed owners/residents in a single residence.

tabFunny. The forecast hadn't foretold any eclipse. The desk the young Steward was hunched over had a grand shadow slowly overtake the documents under his elbow. He almost thought nothing of the change in the atmosphere and he simply twists the knob of a lamp on beside him. Behind him, the window looking out to Kumoito was dimming. Ujitoki, the presiding Steward was almost as bad of an air head his cousin Empress could be when their heads "weren't on straight". It was almost a shock to have been appointed to this position five years ago. Ujitoki had been fairing decently. He always had Unki and Shiro, thankfully, to turn to when stick situations threatened to pin him in a bind. Either Imperial were usually just a flickering, rainbow apparition away.
Darkness hadn't passed. It was a couple minutes before Ujitoki arched his head around to check whatever the deal was with the weather. Was it a huge passing storm cloud? Wouldn't be unheard of. Was Arashi dropping by? Lord Bro-so Hojo wasn't due to swing the village by. Not for a while! What was up? Like night. It wasn't the solstice. No wild winds like a storm brewing. The longer Ujitoki watches the city fall into night the more a sinking feeling burrows. He glances toward a clock on the hall with the eerie wonder that a half-hour over documents was actually half a day. No. The flow of time felt unchanged. Ujitoki turns to the window again and leaves his seat. He squinted his eyes to find signs of life among the city: businesses and homes were still dark with lights flipping on and vague impressions of human figures stopping in place or coming outside. Many were beginning to run. tab Panic? At last, Ujitoki raised his sights toward the sky. His hands pressed to the window in some attempt to be as close to the glass as possible and pry a peek under an exterior canopy over the window. "MaAaan." The sky had a tinge to it he didn't like. The blackened sun was beyond his gaze. "That ain't pretty, bro." He shook his head. "That ain't pretty. No way. I don't like the looks of this." In a huff, Ujitoki smacks the glass and pushes away from the window. This weird phenomenon could be spelling trouble and somebody had to keep things in check for Kumoito. The Steward made a run for the office door which untimely was swung open before he had any chance to grasp the knob. "Uji!"The head of the Palace guard, Udo, bursts through the door with a sense of urgency among all else. He was outdoors when the sky began its shift to darkness. Udo could see the sun turn an unnatural glow under a strange shadow that took its place. As did Ujitoki, Udo admits he held a similar skepticism about cosmos "pulling a fast one" with a surprise eclipse nobody on the Guard couldn't explain. Nothing they knew or could have known as adding up with so long as astronomers were minding the heavens. No reports of extravagant findings in the newspapers, not a word of news spoken days in advance in a verbal journey across the continent. Even Toso's technological hullabaloo felt unlikely as the culprit. Someone in the Capital would've been handed a notice if the Arashikage's inventions would carry a monumental impact! Ideally. One, very lengthy, rapid exchange between two like-minded shinobi brothers accordingly led to one painful assumption of the worst. Benign suggestions couldn't add up. Who else was seeing this eclipse?
"Should I....make a broadcast?" The steward asks upon a his stare peeing through the window. Radio and television broadcasting could seemingly bend at the whim of the Lightning Imperials when the matter was pressing enough to demand the broad scale. When wiring was right, Ujitoki could send his image across the wavelengths within the region under his watch. The first step, although improvised, was divided for both figures of leadership to take: the Tenrikishi had to be mobilized to protect the masses as Ujitoki had to somehow quell the masses. Udo's first step would be to tighten security around headquarters and turn to Intelligence to reach out to the other territories. Quickly.

tab tabThe young steward was trying well to keep the Capital calm and focused on renewing a sense of safety until the Sun's return. He had dispatched his message to the Arashikage and could only hope their findings could assist their dearest ally in some fashion, all the while, Ujitoki had forces on the move. He told the Storm shadow that his agents would continue looking into the airshop spotting and the plausible connection of reports from the Swamp. The Sky country would know.
Thus far, the passage of the airship and incoming reports describing a giant ray of light blasting skyward to the Sun. It wasn't difficult to miss, frankly, from the Sky's Imperial base. But of the written reports being rushed into Ujitoki's arms were verbal missives and a grand visual of the light returning to the sky. One weight was lifted from the Steward's shoulders.

These special cells, however, will always have a fault somewhere however, that fault when found treats the prison as being [1]-weaker than usual.

tab tab Not long until further reports came regarding the light came word of residents fleeing from the light to the Sky country. Consequently this influenced investigation. Ujitoki held coordinates in his hand noting the Northeastern region of the 'corrupted swamp'. Those coordinates would service the Storm. Another missive, meanwhile, was requesting permission to venture an in depth investigation into the neighboring lands while another message was already bringing back more reports of the rogue sky ships from the fleeing locals.. A supply caravans, worthy of note, which knew the treacherous roads of the Swamp better than their Imperial neighbors ultimately turned tail and felt to the Sky agents purely out of convenience to beseech anyone who had the technology to foward a distress signal to the Swamp Officials. The distress? A murder. A massacre. Not a body left standing in the village that was due to be caravan's next destination.
The reports flooding in from Intelligence were revealing more sightings of an airship by such supply caravan. Going? The ship's direction of travel and its rising distance from the ground left many with the haunting worry the airship carried the culprits. In light of the concerning connection to Storm and airship vehicles, Sky noted their cooperation to assist the Caravan and investigate the massacre was almost immediate to appease any allegations of supporting the airship. All this could only leave the Steward to reason these incoming requests were just plainly formalities that needed his signature. But what was it that he could offer than to just keep the lines of communication open? Forward a distress signal and offer assistance to their neighbor for good face? Extending their hand, Ujitoki felt, was probably what Unki would do to keep Swamp's suspicions lowered. What Shiro would do, on the other hand, kept the Steward wondering. Keep their neighbor's at peace on the borders felt like a priority.
For now, Ujitoki could only forward what he felt was best and demand all details he could get on any airship flying without checking in. The light rocketing skyward and their circumstances around that was another issue also needing review and preparations to forward to their ally. Having the sun back in the sky sure was nice, at least.

An envoy from OASIS arrives, the Head of Finance donned in a fox plague mask signs a few pieces of paperwork and then unloads trade goods and funs worth 120,000 ryo to help sponsor the construction of a hospital fir the capital. They're gone as quickly as they arrived.
A small caravan from the Rio family's Rion Banking Conglomerate arrived one day to deliver financial donations totaling at three-hundred thousand ryo as well as surplus materials collected from their associated Nuwa Conglomerate's operations. It was noted that Ada Rio proudly offers these gifts to the empire as a show of her loyalty and pride in their nation. Her subordinates seem to gladly support their president's views as they depart to return to their other duties.

Thanks to the generous donation from an outside party, City Planning and Management sectors begin right away with immediate construction and necessasry upgrades needed on the standing hospital. In light of the Rion Banking Conglomerate's financial support and building material donation, the city makes the strides to fortify its military and giving back to the community of Kumoito. {Unki :: Enters from The Hidden Storm} Reaching Kumoito was calm but a rather lengthy trip. A couple hours, maybe, from where the Storm had been present and some unforeseen weather swept itself in the way. With the unscheduled arrival of the airship and a notice from its captain, the Tenrikishi lept into action to assure the returning Imperial couple would have a smooth return while Kumoito was enthralled with a surprise return. Word spread from Tenrikishi guards to concerned citizens and onto Imperial officials. Kumoimine Keep was already expecting its owners’ to return with a candid notice to anticipate the move.
The Emperor and Empress didn’t need to be on solid ground before their immediate world was ready for them with applause and welcome. Their departure from the airship unfolded with a greeting where the couple stood in place. Shiro, seeming to reflect a sense of relief, was certain to return the warmth Kumoito’s fanfare was giving him. Unki too. Shiro’s dashing smiles caught Unki’s affection quicker than any adoring on-looker and a smooth, stirring wave which endured until a lavish palanquin arrived. The tromp of massive oxen pulling the wheeled vehicle wasn’t anything to dampen the fanfare even as the couple boarded the palanquin to return to Kumoimine Keep. A five years wait was too long for some, it seems. The palanquin was another lavish component able to announce its passenger with just a glance to the Imperial Lightning Crest and careful construction. A clever way for Shiro both play and look the part of his title through the door windows.
At the end of the oxens' haul was Kumoimine Keep. Behind the gates of the grand entrance stood the steward who wore a look of relief on his face, the stoic presiding head of palace security, and one eccentric seamster beaming with pride and privilege to be the first at the Palace to meet them. Along the way, however, behind the walls and curtain of the palanquin Unki’s temperament kept her enticed on Shiro. She whispered sweet nothings and moved onto his lap. Shiro didn’t hesitate to return with his affection to raise his spirits about being in Kumoito but all the restraint in the world kept his longing on a tight leash.
When the palanquin stopped Shiro and Unki’s departure was like a stately, practiced performance on its own where the Emperor would always hold the Empress’s hand as she’d jovially hop down to his side. He totally wasn’t just smooching a lady on his lap and trying to hide it by being timely. Nope. Definitely not. It wasn’t suspicious either how the Emperor then bent to scoop the Empress off her feet before she could go any further from the palanquin. Unki’s vivacious laughter echoing into the entrance of Kumoimine Keep as she was effortlessly collected Shiro’s arms was unquestionably normal behavior that could indicate any pleasantry far from sorrow or malaise between them.
The warmth of her laughter consumed the Emperor’s attention and desire so much that his interaction with the three men, awaiting to greet their Empress cousin, was cut short with a nonchalant, casual greeting. Unki wasn’t any help either. She ultimately arched her neck for an upside view of each bewildered cousin long enough to enthusiastically wave at them as Shiro carried her away.
That was just day one.

Settling back into Kumoimine Keep was a long-winded process that spanned weeks. There was returning the furniture, Unki’s cookware, reassembling Shiro’s library, clothes pressed, rehung, and that was just the personal affairs of the Imperial couple. Palace staff who opted to remain in service with the move had to be re-assigned and taken care of however needed. After all, Unki had plenty of people employed who had families that had to be taken care of too. Those who opted to stay in the Storm were dismissed but not without assistance to establish employment as a form of repayment which Unki insisted be handled as a priority among her staff.
The Empress was taking charge. Unki’s forefront position was the primary trade-off within the terms she and Shiro agreed upon to reinstate their presence sooner than planned. Shiro could rest and play politics as he saw fit rather than filling the role of capital player for the Lightning Empire. In the time since returning to Kumoito, Unki has seen numerous nobles, governors, public officials, city organizers; spoken to civilians, the hospital staff, the Tenrikishi, make public appearances and planned one wedding in a month. With the ten years which Unki has kept her title by Shiro’s side, the Empress has fulfilled similar work to improve the Lightning Empire but never to this scale in a single month. She had help but often wondered if the assistance at hand was enough to sustain the Empire long enough to divide time up to celebrate her own wedding anniversary. She couldn’t help but worry that the chance to observe a day she treasured so much would be missed up.
There was still so much to pick up that even Shiro had brushed aside. The nations that formed the outer border of the empire were still labors of her husband’s dealings but had fallen astray over time. The Emperor’s faith in the future of these fell into the hands of appointed nobles to mind them. Unki still did her best to deploy her assistance across the empire but, notably, the Land of Water was difficult to relieve.
WIthin the first month of Unki and Shiro’s return, the Empress dictated messages to the exterior lands and appointed a special task force to deliver them. The recipients were appointed officials for the Empire who resided in the Land of Water. Several messages were sent off shore and to be delivered by hand by someone who could report back to the Empress. Within a few days time, considering travel, there were blips of surprise chromatic projections chiming in to present the Empress with concerning news. “My lady,”a messenger’s voice hums through an astral projection in the Emperor’s office suite. “Please pardon my intrusion but I’m following up with an issue to the delivery of your message to Lord Inaba. He’s recently passed on mysterious circumstances.” There was no restraint to Unki’s surprise. “Inaba died? What do you mean by mysterious circumstances?!” Despite the questions Unki pressed there was little in the way of details the messenger could offer. He was ultimately ordered to immediately return to port. It wasn’t long before Unki was interrupted by another messenger’s hologram with a second grim message: “your majesty, the estate of Lord Sō has informed me that he was found dead in his garden three days ago. I have given the message to Lady Sō but I fear she may be reluctant to open it so soon.” Another blow to her heart, it seemed, as two agents who accepted the assignment to a forgien land were gone. Leaving the Land of Water to its own devices was so far looking depressing for the appointed bodies to maintain the islands’ well being. A third report came carrying the news of the death of one Officer Kinkawa who was an official of conducting ceremonmonail and various celebrations brought to the Land of Water. The other deaths, all seeming to pile in on the same day, were blatant losses of authority figures who oversaw regional treasury offices, authorities minding industry, and a respected city planner. The lords appointed weren’t alone in their respective offices and each could survive without but still a problem which Unki worried she was only seeing the surface of. Unki held her breath as she could only ask and dreaded to hear more, “how many messages have reached their recipients?” 30 brief letters were dictated, written, and addressed to miscellaneous figures who operated under Lightning’s orders. The messenger entrusted with Unki’s question answers stiffly:”nineteen, majesty. Nineteen messages have been handed over to their addressee. Three are still unknown and in the midst travel and the remaining eight officers we are coming to learn are deceased. The nature of two of eight deaths have been concluded as assassinations. The remaining six are still under investigation.” Eight officers of the lightning government are dead. Maybe even more.
Why had nobody told her? Why hadn’t anyone notified the Grand Steward? As if a weight was beginning to creep onto her shoulders, Unki bit her lip and bowed her head. Before long, she finally manages a nod to the chromatic messenger flickering in the office suite. “I understand. Please get back to port quickly. The ship’s captain has orders to return to the ports in Nohara as soon you’re all together.” “May I ask what you plan to do, Majesty?” “Eight lives lost under Lightning’s banner are one too many. I’ve asked the officers in Water to reach out to me about concerns that need additional support and I imagine now some may return with troubling news. Fear, even. I can tell you that my plan isn’t to ignore this.”
Whatever Unki’s next steps would turn out to be would surprise the otherwise apolitical princess that she was, no doubt.

An additional 5 chakra can be applied to the blade to prevent it from causing physical damage from thrusting but instead seal tenketsu points and inflict pain similar to a stab wound in the area struck but slashing attacks can still cause damage. Half the resource cost of techniques from the rapier style of Sen Gekiretsu Nagareboshi applied allows the technique to carry the tenketsu sealing effects of a same-rank palm strike such as a B-Rank carrying 64 Palms effects. Getsuruito must be in its rapier form to use this ability and 5 chakra can be spent upon activation of this technique to transform it as such. The Righteous Sword of the Sentinel technique has a 10 post duration before necessitating re-activation and costs an E-Rank amount of chakra. Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.

One string of bad events toppling on after the other. Wrapping up with the Water messenger wasn’t the worst of bad tidings to come. Spying the off-colored projection caught manifesting before her table swept her off guard and she held her breath thinking some angry Lightning agent turned against her and found her out. Just Kenshin. Without much of a window to greet him, Unki was met with the gritty reality outside bustling about her borders and a sinking sensation began to burrow beneath her chest. “I see,” she replies and takes a breath. “I can forward half of my forces to you from Kumoito. More if you need them. I’ll have the regimes from the north end of the continent fall in to aid you and the border. Passage may take half a day but they’ll make it to this side of the country. ” Playing wargames didn’t come easy and others made it look so easy. Unki plucked a sheet of paper and began jotting a swift outline of her resources as she spoke. “I can send you Nami, even, with orders to return if the Citadel is compromised. It’s risky. I’ve never seen two jinchuuriki present themselves together. But I feel her placement depends on where Toso-kun values himself most. I’m certain I could rally Shiro enough to keep tabs on you all with his eyes, of course.” A moment’s more of scrawling another character on the sheet before she paused her scratching pen. “What are your thoughts about mobilizing the units from the West? Our forces are already split by Iron and pushing them forward into the Samurai could be favorable. It could split them where they might not have the resources to do so. And of course, If the worst befalls. I’ll get Shiro and myself to the Sky. I don't think Water will like to have me right now anyway. ” ”
Her assistant, Momi, was near listening in. She took to Unki’s side, regally and at the ready to take whatever message her lady had to send.

▱▰▱Kenshin quietly listened to the empress's words and observed Unki's actions with glaring night blue eyes. The tenseigan progenitor also observed the palace and discerned that it was stirring. There was much to do and scarce time to do it with. "Half will be more than enough. I'd only advise keeping one additional legion garrisoned between Nohara and Kumoito as an emergency reinforcement just in case." By his count half of the Kumoito forces would be approximately fifty thousand soldiers across eight legions. This would further supply the citadel's ample defensive capabilities as the world's largest mountain fortress. "If you use the legions of the western provinces then garrison them in the mountains between Waterfall and Iron as well as Rice and Iron. This will be the noose that chokes the life from Iron's ridiculous war effort, unable to send reinforcements into the imperial realm." By Kenshin's assessment, this would mean that the samurai army could be soundly defeated at the citadel without the worry of additional waves of samurai and yokai. "You may send Miss Nami and any other shinobi you wish. Jinchuuriki are a liability but I have plenty of experience putting down bijuu myself. I'm contacting the Arashikage now to make the possible arrangements for additional shinobi." The lord commander mused briefly as he recalled slicing off the hachibi's horn. Then he wondered what happened to the hachibi after the twin arashikages disappeared. This was a matter he was in the process of investigating but it would have to wait until after the samurai were defeated. "Rest assured that we'll annihilate the samurai in the frost mountains. This paralysis lasts for two posts per rank of the technique at a maximum of six posts. Applying Chidori chakra to the Juken consumes a second offensive activation. ▱▰▱ Storm Sage | Lightning techniques cast while in sage mode and when enhanced by nature chakra burn brighter and inflict a tier of blindness that is equivalent to the technique's rank. This means that strikes involving the blade cause physical damage including stab wounds as well as seal tenketsu points and any other effects of the technique used through the sword. An additional 5 chakra can be applied to the blade to prevent it from causing physical damage from thrusting but instead seal tenketsu points and inflict pain similar to a stab wound in the area struck but slashing attacks can still cause damage. Half the resource cost of techniques from the rapier style of Sen Gekiretsu Nagareboshi applied allows the technique to carry the tenketsu sealing effects of a same-rank palm strike such as a B-Rank carrying 64 Palms effects. Getsuruito must be in its rapier form to use this ability and 5 chakra can be spent upon activation of this technique to transform it as such. The Righteous Sword of the Sentinel technique has a 10 post duration before necessitating re-activation and costs an E-Rank amount of chakra. The initial activation of this technique consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not.
Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.

The Empress continued to jot down a clean list of offices, officers, locations, and revised instructions to match Kenshin's input. "I figured we'd task an ambush from the West but choking on both sides is a far better use of their abilities. It should reduce backlash on the homefront and the Citadel. I’ll send the word to my generals to begin the move." She signs, folds the note, and passes it upward for Momi to stow in her vest pocket. The prim and proper assistant zips from Unki's side without a moment to spare.
"We'll discuss what measures to take with Water after we handle the samurai. At the very least, I'm relieved word of their uproar has reached you." Unki couldn't help but wonder if Kenshin understood the lackluster focus Shiro had maintained on Water maybe he'd have a different tune but the man was stickler for justice and order. Still, his confidence and ability to take charge on a grand scale on the matter of conflict was a stark reminder she should be radiating the same grandeur as his superior. What was a leader without her own sturdy backbone? The seat gliding back as Unki stands to see off the image of Kenshin, 'Thank you," her tone taking to a stronger note, as she raised her head "and good luck."
With the projection's departure Unki would be alone again to deliberate her next move. The regimes to the Citadel would surely advance to their destination before nightfall and soon the supplemental force to reinforce the capital and the coast, should need be, will be due to arrive tomorrow afternoon at the latest. If only Shiro were feeling better; he came down with pneumonia some two-weeks after the wedding. At her side, they wouldn't have to flee anywhere at the worst of times.
