[TD: 7/17/20] Rob Van Dam Vs. Bobby Roode [Non-Title Match]

Hello everyone, Renee Young here with the match cards of the evening! Tonight, The CWF Champion Rob Van Dam looks to steal the WHOOOOLE show as he goes one on one with the IT FACTOR Bobby Roode in this non-title bout! After a hard fought loss against Matt Gennison and getting attacked by AJ Styles on Monday Night WAR, Rob Van Dam looks for redemption, but the question is... is he 100%? Don't underestimate the abilities of Bobby Roode! a win here over the champion could indeed be a glorious one the IT-Factor could bask into!

The beginning of the instrumental theme of Bobby Roode, Off the Chain (Instrumental) would play in the arena as the lights dim to a totally dark, black where nothing can be seen, until they lighten up some at the top of the ramp to show Bobby Roode, the IT FACTOR of Pro wrestling, turned around, wearing his signature robe with his wrestling gear underneath. When the music changes its tone, he turns around and begins making his way down to the ring and is introduced, to a mostly booing crowd with some cheers mixed in.



Announcer:"Introducing at this time, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 235 pounds, the IT FACTOR of professional wrestling, BOBBY... ROOOOODDE!"



Bobby would slowly make his way down the ramp, at his own slow pace, as he was totally in his zone, ignoring the pesky fans at ring side, not letting them or anything else get in his head, the only thing on his mind was winning because he is a winner. He eventually makes it to the ring, where he walks up the steps slowly, walking down the apron and slowly enters the ring. The lights are still fairly dim, but lightened up some so he and the ring were more visible, as he walks to the farthest corner, and climbs onto the second rope and spreads his arms and looks straight up into the rafters, and closes his eyes in his signature taunt, as his neat theme song continues in the background, and after a few more seconds he gets down and takes his robe off, gently setting it outside of the ring, for someone at ring side to appropriately take care of. The lights would light up to their normal brightness, and Bobby Roode's theme slowly fades out, and he waits for what was next with the same focused look on his face.

Rob Van Dam was backstage, preparing for his upcoming match by performing various leg exercises, warming himself up so he wouldn't be rusty when he got in the ring, and when he was told it was time to go, he begins walking towards the ring, through hallways and other backstage areas, stretching his arms while on his way. He smiles at people he was passing by, before eventually making it to the curtains. When he was given the signal, and when his theme started, RVD began to head to the arena.

ROB VAN DAM!!!...... THE WHOLE EFFIN' SHOW!!!



As the beginning of RVD'S theme song he used in TNA would play in the arena, the audience cheers for their CWF Champion, as Rob Van Dam walks out from backstage with the CWF title over his shoulder. He stops at the top of the ramp and raises both arms quickly and a pyro goes off. RVD walks down the ramp smiling at the audience and shakes a few of their hands, making their day. As he was making his way down the ramp, the announcer introduces him.

"Introducing at this time from Battle Creek Michigan, weighing 235 pounds, he is the CWF Champion..... ROB VAAAAAAN DAAAAAAMM!!!"



Rob would make his way to the ring and leaps onto the apron and gets in the ring, walking to a corner and raises his arms, and then raises the CWF title proudly. He gets down, goes to another corner and does the same thing, before doing his signature Rob Van Dam taunt getting the crowd to go along with it. He gets down, paces around and starts warming up his legs so he doesn't come out rusty when the match begins. RVD's theme fades out and he waits for the bell.

Roode would watch the champ make his entrance, a while back it almost was Roode who got his shot at Seth Rollins but had his opportunity stolen by RVD, so Roode wasnt too impressed as he waited for the bell.

RVD would hand his title to the official, who gave it to someone on the outside and then calls for the bell!

Roode would attempt to attack RVD right when the bell rang, blindesiding him if you will, with an axe handle!

Rob was ambushed as soon as the bell rang as he was too distracted on getting his title out of the ring and he stumbles into a corner!

Roode would attempt to swarm RVD with punches in the corner now, trying to make a major statement here!

The champ was punched repeatedly and falls to a seated position in the corner.

Roode aggressively picks up RVD and attempts a big knife edge chop to his chest!

RVD had his chest chopped and he leans in the corner groaning.  

[BOBBY R00DE]

Roode would attempt to go for _ more knife edge chops to Rob Van Dam!

Rob was chopped two more times, falling down in the corner again, overwhelmed by Roodes early attack!

Roode would gather RVD and attempt to irish whip him to the opposite corner!

Rob was sent running to the other corner, turning around and his back hitting the padding.
