I should mention that I have a ton of sewing projects that I hope to have done either before the end of the year or by next year.

These pieces are either for minor events, costume fun pieces, or for someone else.

Ren Faire outfit (This without sleeves)
Fairy Jacket (This pattern)
Senshingumi Haori (Requested by my sister)
Green Cloak (Requested by my mother-in-law)
50's Style Dress (With classic red polka dot)
Dirndle Dress
Bloomers (Don't know if I'll do the short or long ones)
Rococo Overtop

I realized that I have a huge list of cons and costume related events that I may be popping up this and this isn't including any cosplay picnics or group shoots.

I want to note that when I say local con it means that I'll be sleeping in my bed at home at night.

Complete List

Radcon: Feb 14-16, Pasco, WA (Local Con)- Cancelled/Online Event
Sakura con: April 2-4, Seattle, WA
SageFenCon: May 1-2, Richland, WA (Local Con)-Cancelled
Rumored One Day Con: Probably May or June, Walla Walla, WA (Local Con)
Kuroneko Con: August 6-8, Spokane, WA
Ye Merrie Greenwood Faire: End of September, Kennewick, WA (Local Event)
ConfuseCon: Beginning of October, Pasco, WA (Local Con)
Mid-Columbia Pirate Fest: End of October, Kennewick, WA (Local Event)
Kumori Con: November 5-7, Portland, OR

For Sure Going is

So I may end up changing up my hard cosplay plans for two or three cons (The first three cons of 2021), so I may be doing different cosplays next year. 100% for sure, but I'll know by Thanksgiving.

Starting to wonder when conventions will start happening again. Right now the Covid numbers are way too high and I truly feel for everyone who is suffering from it. I've seen evidence already that Spring cons are getting canceled. Just have to wait and see how things go.

So far any cons up till Easter weekend are cancelled of the ones I'm going to.

Here's what the PNW (WA, OR, and BC) cons are looking like till Easter:

Orca Con- Not cancelled, and surprised by that. (Less than 40 days to go), In Jan
Fan Expo- Postphoned, originally in Feb
Radcon-Cancelled, In Feb
Emerald City Comic Con- Cancelled, In Mar
Crystal Millennium- Not Cancelled, Mar
Sakura Con- Not cancelled, Apr

Some cons might not get cancelled now, but who knows? They might cancel events the further this covid situation goes on.

I agree it's hard to know the future of the cons. Some are already going virtual. That's fine with me. I would prefer a combination of virtual and in person cons. It could make the cons even better.

My main issue with cons that are virtual is that there's a lack of an artist alley. I usually buy from artist alleys.

I love to support the artists that attend conventions, so I totally relate to this. In my case, the virtual events don't really seem to interest me as much to be honest.

Not that they don't interest me so much as I take a weekend off to go to the con and with it being online it means that there's not point of asking for time off.

Update on Cosplay Plans:

Complete goals:
Kokoro from Shaman King
Asirpa from Golden Kamuy
Princess Peach from the Mario Game Series
Ice Queen Elsa from Frozen

Side Projects (for miscellaneous cosplay):
Finish my ren faire overtop
Fifties style red with white polka dots dress
Steampunk Dirndl
Fairy overtop

I'm also thinking about doing Hera from Lore Olympus. She wouldn't be too hard to do. I just need to find a top that I like, black opera gloves, yellow tights, a wig, and make-up. It would be a throw together cosplay, but totally fun.
