In his last duel, Blurred Vision had bested - near narrowly - a rather nice Berserker. He hadn't expected to win, but the two of them seemed to fumble so much that neither of them truly deserved the claim of a victory. But, alas.
The female before him now was striking and appeared serious. No words were exchanged, just a wolf low to the ground, stalking towards him and aiming a blow for his legs. Blurred Vision was caught a bit off-guard, but managed to escape with only being knocked into the ground, having the wind taken out of him briefly.
Then, it was his turn. He swiftly turned tail and lunged at the other wolf - Nameless, was it? - with his claws out, aiming for her flank.

Her attack had succeeded in only momentarily slowing her opponent down. She had to give him credit for his agility, but that was it. There were no empty platitudes with her, not that she was inclined to ever verbally praise another individual. The only wolf here who had earned her respect was Sweet Terror, and that was because without her, Nameless may have very well remained bound in metaphorical chains.
Her gaze flashed to the side briefly, noting the bright red and yellow pelt of the she-wolf in question. To know she was watching only pushed Nameless to do better.
Blurred Vision's next attack was seen through. As his claws reached for her flank she deftly twisted away just out of his range. Nameless knew that if she could just carry the momentum of this battle, she would win. She was not nearly as skillful as some of the other fighters in the tournament. However, she had an edge when it came to pure tenacity. Pain was no inhibitor for her, fear did nothing to slow her down. She had already experienced the worst - there was nothing left to fear.
Again she lashed out, throwing her weight against his side to try and knock him off center. Her goal was clear - pin him, and win.

If his claws landed, she did not feel it. Often it happened like this, where she would find herself in a fight and come out of it only to then realize that she had been injured. She did not yet smell blood in the air, nor taste it upon her tongue. That only meant she did not bleed, but her opponent was yet to do so as well. Nameless had successfully thrown him to the ground, and his futile attempt to kick her off of him had done little to actually dislodge her.
He did not give up, that alone was remarkable. In a duel, neither's life were at stake, so perhaps that gave him comfort. Perhaps that was the reason he chose to fight on, because at the very least Nameless would stop short of permanently harming him. "Yield," she demanded with a snarl, as she moved to press her paw against his throat. The action was slow, deliberate - he could fight her off if he tried hard enough.
"Or bleed," she finished her train of thought with red eyes focused intensely on his gold ones.

STR: 10 DEF: 11 STA: 0 (1-5) SPE: 10
In the moment - and, likely, in many other moments outside this one - Nameless' eyes flashed, the red glaring against her dark face. Vision's feeble attempt to move her away from him, to avoid being pinned down was brushed off as you would brush off a pesky fly. It was impossible not to be impressed by her. Between the intensity in her voice and that look in her eyes, Blurred Vision felt content in saying, "I yield!" to her, a bit breathy from the struggle. He had lost - viciously, even - but still found himself satisfied at the decision to join in the tournament. It was difficult for him not to stick his nose in things, and now that he had decided to settle down into pack life, this was his last hoorah. At least he went out against a very worthy opponent, even if it was his worst fight to date.
