Her experience at Western had been incredibly bittersweet. She'd seen enough Impressions now to get a glimpse of the magic that was Impression, and she'd be lying to herself if she wasn't both envious and wistful of such an incredible bond. She'd seen large, strong boys reduced to tears as small hatchlings found them, watched as quiet girls seemed to transform into something more than they had been only seconds ago. Her feet crunched against the snow as she quietly walked around the Weyr Bowl, bundled up as best she could against the cold. She didn't want to burden Elibrie with her feelings, knowing that she'd, in her haste, already dragged her sister into a life that perhaps she didn't even want.

The thought haunted her.

So here she was, trying to sort through her thoughts. She wanted that feeling for herself, she'd decided. To have a dragon that knew everything about her, and loved her for exactly who she was. She'd failed as a perfect wife, failed as a good daughter... and perhaps failed as a big sister, too. Oranie bit her lip hard to keep the emotions from welling into something she couldn't quite contain.

A blue firelizard popped into the air just above her, his eyes whirling yellow even as he gave an anxious peep. "C'mere Warble." She held her hands out, unable to help a smile as her little friend didn't hesitate to settle. She needed to keep her head up, she knew. She had Aunt Nadry here, and Warble... and Elibrie. She had to do her best for all of them. "No more wallowing." She told the flit, who peeped back in response.
