▱▰▱Kenshin walked out of the Conference Chamber. He looked through the massive windows to see that the sky was dark above the mountain. It was a stark reminder that it was daylight before the Kage Summit began and how much time had passed. The leaders were beginning to leave the Citadel and were escorted out by the guards. After the Jashinists escaped, the leaders reconvened to discuss the international Jashinist task force. They had reached an agreement and many of the details were hammered out over the hours. Kenshin was exhausted as the time was approaching midnight. He was physically exhausted from the combat and mentally drained from the extensive planning to put a stop to this. His shoulders were sloping and tense from the weight placed on them. He gently held Ada's hand as he walked away from the crowd and toward their personal residence in the inner palace. Kenshin's face was solemn as he continued his walk through the tall spires that long marble hallways of the inner palace. The rabble from the dozens of people began to disappear into complete silence as the moonlight peeked through the curtains.
▱▰▱The guards opened the wide double doors that separated Kenshin and Ada's personal quarters from the rest of the palace. Kenshin led Ada quietly by the hand into the parlor room filled with seating and their bedroom adjacent to it. "I'm exhausted to the bone, yet my mind won't let me rest." Kenshin's eyes were drooping from their usual sharpness. He released Ada's hand so that she may sit before politely removing his shoes. "A sky guard told me that you got Emperor Shiro out safely. Thank you." Kenshin expressed genuine gratitude as he sat beside her. His usually upright posture disappeared as he leaned back into the sofa. While he was grateful, it was as if he was distracting from discussing how he truly felt as he gathered his thoughts for a few moments. Ada was there for the reconvening and knew that the leaders were determined to create their temporary alliance against the Jashinists but she did not witness the battles that preceded them. "Takumi, the Jashinist leader, she's far more powerful than what's natural. It took a number of us to subdue her. I stabbed her through the heart with Getsuruito, nothing. She disappeared. They all escaped from our grasp like sand in the wind." Kenshin shook his head before turning to look into Ada's sapphire eyes with his chest pointed toward her. "I pray that the gods give us the strength to end them. But Jashin's powers are as mighty as they are evil. The dark one's minions have grown so much stronger than I. Ada, can I truly vanquish them? I'm determined to do it, but do I have the power?" Doubt was overwhelming Kenshin as he remembered the power that they wielded. How they were able to suck the energy from a tailed beast of all creatures. It was the most terrifying threat that Kenshin could ever comprehend. Seemingly insurmountable stress was piling onto the Hyuga Lord.
▱▰▱Even more was weighing on Kenshin. Words began to pour out of him as violently as a raging river. He remembered Kameyo's face when her corpse was so callously thrown onto the summit table by Takumi. "I...I shouldn't have let her leave, Ada." He began to feel emotional as the words stuck in his throat and he allowed grief to overwhelm him. He fought through his sorrow as he mustered up the words to give Ada further context. "Lady Kameyo. She disagreed with me about inviting Satoshi to the Kage Summit. I insisted that we had no choice. It was necessary to form this alliance to face the Jashinists. She spoke true that inviting him gave him legitimacy. But was disinviting him worth risking the fate of the world? Surely the Jashinists are an even greater threat than he is. I must not allow myself to regret, yet it visits me without invitation." Kenshin was clearly conflicted as he recounted his discussion with Kameyo. "She decided to leave the Citadel when I refused to change my decision. Then they just...butchered her. They came into our home, our greatest achievement, the Jashinists tainted it. Then to see the look on her face. I shouldn't have let that happen." Regrets were overwhelming Kenshin despite his attempts to fight it.
▱▰▱Kenshin's head began collapsing into Ada's lap. The monumental man fell in front of the only person that he would ever allow to see his full vulnerability. The back of his head rested on her thighs as he stared up at her. His tenseigan reverted into his pale white eyes. "I wish I could just tell her that I'm sorry." Tears began to well up in his eyes as he felt pangs of regret and sorrow in his heart. He felt as if he would never shake away his pain. "Then to think of all the tailed beasts that the Jashinists got to ahead of me. They grow stronger while I exercise Evergreen's command to sanctify only three demons. That means six failures. I've failed Kameyo, the gods, and so many others who've died fighting the Jashinists because of my inadequacy." Kenshin held himself to the highest possible standard as he felt himself give way to the pressures that surrounded him. He looked away before turning back to Ada slowly. "Maybe I'm just not the man I thought I was." Kenshin expressed his ultimate disappointment as felt his voice break and his heart shatter.

Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.

__ Ada assumed command of the Pale Citadel while Kenshin was engaged with the enemy. Her first priority since leaving the conference room was to get her and his highness to safety. X was assigned as their personal sentry as insurance in case the other royal guard were inadequate against the present threat. From there she quickly dissipated any disorder in the ranks with the help of Vala and Yarugi. Truly, she was frustrated that she couldn't do more to help her husband or the other Kage and their own subordinates. Even with the area secured in a re-tightened lock down prepared to apprehend or execute these Jashinists, the enemy still managed to slip through their midst as easily as they came. Ada maintained the high alert until all of the leaders finished their resumed talks regarding the Jashinist threat, with an invigorated first-hand understanding of what they were all against. She had met with her husband while the others were being escorted out of the Citadel, also noting the twilight sinking away into night as the first few stars began to shine in the nearly black indigo hues in the heavens above. Ada could tell that Kenshin was severely enervated by the day's events and would physically support him as needed while they maneuvered their home's beautiful corridors. As much as she wished to talk to him, she knew it best to wait a little longer. The moonlight touched the shadowed marble halls with such subtle majesty, a calming ambiance that Ada was pleasantly surprised for being a product of the Pale Citadel's design. She was ever-proud of him for doing his best, as always. However, she could tell there was more to it tonight than any other normal long workday. 'I hope there is a reasonable moment to tell him the good news...' Ada quickly pushed the thought down to focus her energy on Kenshin.
Before long, they arrived at their personal quarters and Ada was led into their parlor. "I've just the thing for you, my darling." While Kenshin settled into his seat, Ada waved her right hand toward the parlor's fireplace and beckoned a small pot of boiling water to meet her at the minibar. She then prepared a pair of cups of her garden-grown chamomile tea while he settled in. Ada gave him an appreciative smile at his acknowledgement of her efforts to protect his highness while she poured the tea. While grateful for the recognition, she was more concerned for her distressed husband at the moment. Ada magnetically manipulated the gold-crested teacups and their similarly designed platters to follow her to where Kenshin sat- and not a drop was lost. Kenshin began to speak of the events following the disruption, and a cup of tea would float nearby in offering. 'He has been terribly disturbed by these foes.' As Kenshin began to wallow in his doubts to be able to face this newest, greatest threat Ada would not miss a beat to give boundless support through her particularly rational lens. Her cup was let to float just a few feet away as she took his hands back into her own and stared into his eyes before saying, "Regardless of if it is demigods, Jashinists, or whoever the next global threat may be, Kenshin, you will endure and prevail. Not because of your role as Evergreen's champion or by the will of any other higher powers. The Kenshin I know and love, even the you that sits before me in such a troubled state, is the man who can overcome all adversity through his infallible tenacity and admirable morality." Ada paused for a breath then said to him, "You remain a symbol of hope and justice to many, and you will find a way to face this threat with the help of the allies you have gathered together. Whatever you cannot do now, rely on another to see it through while you find your own way." She lifted and kissed the backs of his hands with a reassuring smile directed to him, like a ray of light to pull him from his looming darkness. "Kenshin, I still have complete faith in you to do what you have to. If you are unable to do it with your strength just remember that I am here for you to rely on. There is nothing we cannot accomplish together." Ada leaned in and pulled him closer for an embrace that lasted until a looming regret in Kenshin's heart weathered the his resolve even more.
She listened quietly as he spoke of Lady Kameyo. 'Certainly not yet...' Ada couldn't help but recount the gruesome scene which Takumi had presented at the summit. 'It is always radicals like this who cause the suffering of the many, but they often share a talent for focusing their malcontent on those with the greatest potential to make a positive difference in the world. Contemptible." Lady Kameyo was a prime example of a good soul who had been snatched away by such darkness. Ada shared in Kenshin's lamenting as he described his unfortunate final interaction with Kameyo. 'Truly, this is a most unfortunate turn. Her head hung, remembering the woman for what little she had been blessed enough to witness and affirming those few moments with a list of small and great achievements she knew Lady Kameyo for. Kenshin's head came to rest in her lap and she gently petted his head, occasionally running her fingers through his hair and caressing that side of his scalp. If it wasn't evident before, it was certainly clear how broken he felt through his pressing regrets. The bijuu and jinchuuriki were the primary targets of the Jashinists, but progress was still progress in the face of such adversity. 'Certainly, we took a huge loss today, but...' It was painful for her too, albeit mostly due to how he was grieving, but Ada remained a pillar of strength for her beloved. "Kenshin... I understand your feelings, but you should know there will be opportunities to give Kameyo your apology as long as you live. We will pay our respects at her service and we will see it through that these selfish, heartless Jashinist extremists are brought to justice. Then, Lady Kameyo may surely rest in peace." Tragic as it all was, they were amongst the few who could put an end to any more tragedies. Even now, in his wallowing, he was a savior of the world over and she would gladly remind him of that earned feat. "I'm absolutely certain that the gods are understanding of our current standing in this war. You are everything the man I love and admire, but remember that you'll still be mortal and fallible no matter how strong you become to protect others. The dead and disappointed will also approve once we have finished what they sacrificed for to be done. Not only for those that have gone, but we have to act safeguard the future for..." She hesitated for a moment, but felt it was finally time to tell him. Ada hoped this news would also help Kenshin's convictions and resolve find proper place again, "A future for the world our children will grow in. There was no time lately to tell you so properly, and I admit this is still less than ideal." She took a moment to breathe and recompose herself but certainly felt waves of emotion pressing back on her, "Kenshin, my cherished husband. We are going to be parents very soon." Unable to hold back her joy anymore, her antiquated smile became a proud simper as small tears began to roll down from the corners of her eyes. She was vaguely sure she was just getting swept up in her happiness, but Ada wanted nothing less than to share it with Kenshin.

▱▰▱Kenshin took a sip of the chamomile tea and allowed it to calm his frayed nerves before placing the cup down on the coffee table. The tea was still a high temperature and he could feel it gently warming his core. He was able to gulp down some rather scalding coffee in the past so he had developed a strong tolerance to heated beverages. As always, Ada's unwavering faith in him was uplifting and comforting. He felt his heart race as Ada kissed his hands and reassured him. Kenshin felt even warmer as she hugged him while he still felt the soothing presence of the tea. He still collapsed into her lap and allowed himself to decompress as she soothingly rubbed his scalp. He wiped his tears away as she walked him through his crestfallen grief.
▱▰▱As Ada guided him through his intense feelings of sorrow, regret, and disappointment, the conversation began to take a turn. It was clear that she was beginning to reveal some truth that had been weighing on her heart and mind for some time. He wiped away his tears as he looked up at her and listened intently. His eyes widened when she finally revealed what it was. He sat up again and saw her joyous tears and immediately felt the matters that were weighing on his heart begin to dissolve. "I-" He was lost for words as he grabbed her hands and stood up with her. His arms wrapped around her waist as he excitedly twirled her around the parlor. A wide smile formed on his face as he spun around with her. It reminded him of when they danced at their wedding and at the gala. The excitement in the air was palpable and he was glad that he had time to decompress and gather his mournful thoughts prior. He was completely rejuvenated although he still felt a pang in his heart. "We will raise our child to the light." Kenshin spoke with confidence and excitement as he leaned down to dry her tears and kiss her forehead. He firmly believed that he and Ada would raise a morally upright child who would help mend this world. "You will be an outstanding mother, Ada Hyuga." Kenshin continued to loosely hold her in his arms as he looked down at her with beaming admiration. He felt pride in having a role in making Ada a mother. He spoke earnestly once he had a few moments to think through the invigorating excitement. "Your kind and nurturing soul is one of the things I love most about you. I'm proud to make you a mother." Kenshin's voice was tender as he felt so moved in this moment. They had been trying for children since they got married so this was expected but still pleasantly surprising somehow. He put his hand on her chin before gently kissing her lips and smiling again.
▱▰▱With his spirits lifted, he continued to hold her chin while his other arm held her close to him. He was often frustrated with how difficult it was to articulate his profoundly affecting feelings for her. "I didn't know when I met you in the KPD ten years ago that it'd lead to all of this. You've given me so much. The Pale Citadel, my nobility, love, and now a son or daughter. I hate that I've had to be away so much. I just want this all to be over so that I can be where I belong, by your side." Kenshin spoke from the heart and there was so much that they needed to catch up on. He had been traveling nonstop but he felt relieved to finally be in his home with his wife. "When did you find out?" He asked as his mind wandered to when he had to leave the Pale Citadel to track down the tailed beasts and the Jashinists so long ago. He continued to gently hold her chin before his smile disappeared into a more serious expression. "My dear, you have to swear to me. No more combat until the baby is born. You know that I don't like to see you fighting regardless, but I know I can't stop your bravery. But now we have to think about more than just us. Ada was beyond relieved to witness Kenshin's reaction to the blessed news. Delightfully, she was twirled around by her husband in a wave of bliss and joy to contrast the recent misfortunes and shortcomings. Her teacup left her hand but did not so much as spill a drop as it magnetically hung just out of reach. She smiled and agreed with her husband, "Of course, and they will have every opportunity to share that light with the world however best suits them." Ada concurred with the notion of their children's upbringing. If nothing else, she would make absolutely certain that their babies would never disgrace themselves by emulating the stereotypical negative behaviors of the noble caste. As her mind wandered down that rabbit hole she came back to Kenshin's confidence in her maternal ability. She blushed while returning his lingering embrace. Ada felt indescribably thankful for his reciprocated, unwavering faith in anything she put her mind to, "Thank you, Kenshin." His kiss was as precious as the night they spent in the gardens after the engaement ball. Vivid memories of that moment left her in a state of perpetuated endearment toward their present. She held him tighter for a moment then looked up into his beautiful achromatic eyes and added, "You will be a wonderful father as well. I haven't even the slightest doubt about that. This child will undoubtedly look up to you and follow your example to the best of their ability." X, Vala, Yarugi and now even my little sister are organizing my protection and delegating my schedules to help limit the amount of work I need do. Three businesses simply cannot run themselves." ▱▰▱Kenshin's heart was full and he felt rejuvenated by even this brief time with his wife. His face flushed at Ada's admiration of him. The sentinel was far too self-critical to truly see himself from her perspective so to hear her words was deeply affirming. As usual, they were on the same team and had a strong understanding of how to proceed in their mutual duties. He just hoped that this would be the end of the globally catastrophic challenges. One was enough with Kogarashi but now a third? It was unreasonable and Kenshin was unsure of how much longer he could go on like this. Kenshin's one wish was that he could just retreat from the world's problems for long enough to focus on his budding family.
▱▰▱He was somewhat dismayed that she learned so shortly after he left and that she had to hold onto his life-changing news for so long. His spirits were lifted again, however, when she agreed to take elevated security precautions. Her plans were logical, well-thought-out, and precise as usual. Kenshin was confident that she would keep herself and their child safe from harm. When she returned his expression of love, he sighed blissfully before grabbing her hand and returning to their seat. They would chat some more to catch up while Kenshin finished his tea before settling down for bed. Kenshin's mind raced and he worried about whether his insomnia would revisit him until Ada wrapped her arms around him. He felt himself calm down as they drifted off to sleep together.

This was definitely not the first time that Ada experienced night terrors from her traumatic experiences in the UHV war in particular. Kenshin had similar difficulties although he would just wake up frequently and it was usually unnoticeable to his partner. "It's alright, I still get them too." He reassured her further as he tried to remember what he was dreaming tonight. It was a rather dreamless dead sleep so he had nothing to report on his end for now. He continued to soothe her before laying down and drifting off to sleep again. ' ▱▰▱Kenshin and Ada would keep this up for the next month. His days were filled with operations involving the global anti-Jashinist task force. Thankfully, he was able to remain around the Pale Citadel more often. He knew that he would need to travel again soon but appreciated spending more consistent time with his pregnant wife. They would wake up one morning with golden light peaking through the curtains. The sky was lavender from the sunrise as Kenshin lifted himself out of bed. He looked over to see that Ada was still asleep. Kenshin was even more of an early riser than her so he would immediately step out of bed, change, and go to the kitchens to order breakfast. The chefs cooked a delicious tray of eggs benedict and orange juice. Kenshin walked back to their quarters with the tray in hand himself before serving Ada himself. For breakfast all Kenshin would have was a large cup of black coffee was usual. He sat up on the bed beside her and gently woke her and allowed her to wake up to the presence of an excellent breakfast. "Good morning." Kenshin greeted her as he slowly sipped massive gulps of strong coffee. "Are you starting to get the pregnancy cravings yet? I hope this will satisfy them." Kenshin smirked slightly as if he was joking although he was somewhat serious as well. He kissed her forehead before returning to his coffee and would enjoy a brief breakfast with her as he internally planned out the day's work.

Ada's mind found peace in her comforted husband and even more so having him nearby to sleep beside. His recent travels had left her most often relying on herself for all of the little mediocre things she once believed she was more than independent enough to handle. She was unaware of how bad her night terrors had gotten lately. Of course someone as attentive and alert as Kenshin would pick up on the erratic movements of her closed eyes or even most minor of flinching as they laid together.
An averse scene of excessively violent barbarism was portrayed in memories to be dreamed. Civilians laid dead in the streets and homes of a mostly rural town tucked into the Land of Lightning's countryside, in a shallow valley where the sun had already set. The sounds of UHV artillery echoed through the once peaceful landscape in an attempt to shatter their enemy's rear ranks while infantry of both sides engaged each other in and outside of the farming community. Ada covered her allies with her magnetized metals while retaliating at any given opportunity with Migi and Hidari. A flash of enemy artillery fire ignited the position she temporarily fortified to advance their own combat line. She gasped in her dream which would have been witnessed in reality as a long, strained inhalation of air. The agonized cries, screams and wails of her comrades and even enemies caught up in friendly fire preceded the crumbling of her personal metal defenses, revealing her standing alone amongst the lingering carnage. Then, as out of place as anything in such a nightmare could be, two clouds in the twighlight sky shift to appear as a pair of eyes staring menacingly down upon her. Their pale violet hue and the distinctive ripple-like rings brought up another sense of morbid terror, as if serving as a reminder of what was to come yet already passed. Ada fell to her knees and screamed her heart out amongst the smoldering, mangled corpses of warriors who died. Ada was suddenly brought back with a waking gasp as Kenshin seized a moment to console her. She wiped some swear from her brow then gently rubbed her temples and sighed, "Thank you, Kenshin. That one was... difficult." Her moments of post traumatic stress weren't very common, but recurring nonetheless. Kenshin seemed to handle things better in his own way, but sometimes she wondered how much he might simply be keeping to himself. Ada laid back down in Kenshin's arms and drifted off to sleep. The days and nights following in the next month were majorly peaceful and enjoyed. Ada could feel changes in herself, understanding that these changes were for the sake of her bringing a new, beautiful life into this world for her and Kenshin, amongst many others, to love unconditionally. Security and defenses in the Pale Citadel were adjusted to compensate for the failings at the Kage Summit and to better guarantee her safety throughout the pregnancy. She slept peacefully as Kenshin rose at dawn. When the scent of breakfast entered the bedroom parlor she began to awake as well. She rolled over and sat up as Kenshin entered with a tray of eggs Benedict and orange juice. "Good morning, and thank you my love." The tray was neatly set across her lap and she would hear his joke about cravings. "Actually, I may be. Lately I've desired kiwis in between meals. It's a less common item to reach our supply routes, but the kitchen staff has been quite accommodating." She giggled softly at the surrealism of this conversation then dug into her meal after receiving his kiss. The chefs had taken notes from Kenshin's preparation methods yet somehow it never tasted as good as when he would prepare this dish for her. She finished her meal in content silence as her husband enjoyed his large mug of black coffee, sipping on some black tea that came with her breakfast, "Kenshin, I've been asked to help with the human-trafficking investigations in Arashigakure. X will accompany me for security, but I don't anticipate much, if any, hostility while questioning a priority witness." Ada took a sip of her tea after explaining her plans for the near future. She knew that Ken had to leave the Citadel as well to continue his role on the Jashinist Joint Task Force. If she wasn't mistaken, he was also heading to Arashi for his business.

He heard some rumors that the chefs referred to his morning cup as a "bathtub with a handle" as they set it out for him each morning. He walked up to his closet before carefully dressing in his black kimono. As he pulled his shirt on and listened to his wife's plans for the day he nodded reluctantly. "Just be careful." Kenshin's voice became more serious and filled with trepidation before he turned around, fully dressed. "I plan to meet with Lady Miyuki today. We can travel together with the sky guards." He was intent on being with his wife for as long as possible until their obligations would force them to part. This was for his own enjoyment as well as not needing to worry for a little while longer.
▱▰▱Kenshin would wait for Ada to finish her breakfast and get ready for departing with her. The spouses would walk through the sprawling fortress for some time before ten skyguards surrounding them in rows of two. He sighed as the gates were opened. Once the sentinel took his first step the rest of the guards would begin their march as they walked through each of the three gates. The Hyuga guards had activated byakugan and sterling white armor with blue cloth giving them a rather intense appearance. Kenshin was much tenser once he stepped outside of the protective gates of the Pale Citadel and Tenseisora. It was difficult to face the world again after being walled off in disappointment at his previous defeat for so long. What's more, he was particularly concerned for his wife who walked with him through the countryside.

Ada nodded and reaffirmed her promise from a month ago, "I promise to be nothing but, darling." She realized that admitting to lacking in anticipation might be construed as oxymoronic in the face of this promise. An ensuing sip of tea helped her reinforce resolve to protect herself and, in turn, protect the life forming within herself. Ada dressed herself in skillfully woven, magnetically compounded clothing. This time she adorned her APD uniform for her present duties. Ada summoned her badge and commendations before placing them on with attentive precision. As they left the Pale Citadel and Tenseisora behind, she felt a tense aura from her husband and took his hand into hers to offer reassurance. She could feel lingering doubt in his palms, and his fear for her in his heartbeats. Ada only held his hand more tightly, quietly reminding him that she had faith that they would all do what was necessary to enjoy long overdue peace.

"Lord Hyuga, the delivery was a success. Please come in." This was music to Kenshin's ears as he hopped to his feet and was escorted to her hospital room. He immediately walked to her bedside and kissed her forehead. She seemed weary but elated as she held her first child in her arms. "Meet Hideo." Ada sat up and handed him to Kenshin who smiled softly as he held his son for the first time. Kenshin enjoyed this blissful moment for hours including taking Ada out of the delivery room and setting Hideo in his crib.

When the katana was reworked to its fullest potential it had the abilities of his own weapon in addition to incredible lightning abilities. ▰ Ability Summary: Righteous Sword of the Sentinel [ Senchineru no Seigi no Ken ] | Rank E | Bloodline | Spiritual All forms of Hyuuga techniques including the gentle fist can be used through the sword for the 10 posts that this technique is active. This means that strikes involving the blade cause physical damage including stab wounds as well as seal tenketsu points and any other effects of the technique used through the sword. An additional 5 chakra can be applied to the blade to prevent it from causing physical damage from thrusting but instead seal tenketsu points and inflict pain similar to a stab wound in the area struck but slashing attacks can still cause damage. Half the resource cost of techniques from the rapier style of Sen Gekiretsu Nagareboshi applied allows the technique to carry the tenketsu sealing effects of a same-rank palm strike such as a B-Rank carrying 64 Palms effects. Getsuruito must be in its rapier form to use this ability and 5 chakra can be spent upon activation of this technique to transform it as such. The Righteous Sword of the Sentinel technique has a 10 post duration before necessitating re-activation and costs an E-Rank amount of chakra. The initial activation of this technique consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not.
Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.
