Dehka and Lufianth
Inannath! She joyfully nuzzled her twin back in turn, pausing to peer up at Re'nori with purple eyes. What a lovely young man! Oh, he seems so nice! I'm so happy for you. Dehka turned to greet the newest arrival with a smile. "Hi! No one will let you freeze, I promise." It wouldn't be the first time people had Impressed from Western!
"Nimiseth..." He murmured to himself, already ready to memorize everything and anything even as he smiled at the portly blue. He was extremely cute--but weren't all baby dragons? The mention of names had him perk up, listening intently even as he continued to feed his darling green.
A low, angry rumble was enough to make him glance at the brown--Sathanaseth. Lufianth helpfully offered--and he practically beamed at Haveli. "Thank you! Congratulations to you, too!" While he didn't think Sathanaseth could be called lovely, he was a strong-willed, powerful dragon.
Lufianth crooned at the sweetest compliment from her sister, unable to help but look back up at her own rider. He is! I knew he was the one... oh, but yours is so sweet! She trilled at Kinye happily, utterly besotted with all these perfect people.
Dehka laughed out loud, not even the slightest bit ashamed. "No, I did too! I just... had to hold her for a little bit and cry." He'd been so overwhelmed... he looked up with a smile as Nalacko joined them, waving. "Congratulations!" Lufianth added a welcoming croon, sending nothing but love for her sister.

R'him & bronze Hybreoth It did not take long to get to the feeding tables, where others were already settled with Theirs. He took the first open seat available, settling down next to D'hka and Lufianth, whon't far from Re'nori and Inannath, and a few other weyrlings. He recognized Re'nori as a fellow Westerner that he knew decently enough, but the other one, like most at the tables, was all but a stranger.
Thankfully, R'him wasn't a shy man, and had no problems taking a seat nearby. His first order of business was feeding Hybreoth, who had come to settle down next to the duo of greens in a languid fashion. This was, of course, a great honor to bestow among his sisters--but he was not above giving them such a thrill. They were his sisters after all.
The bronze inclined his head to both, before nudging R'him's hand for the first cut of meat. I shant be kept waiting, Mine. He reminded his, though there was no rancor in his words. He was hungry, and R'him could feel it most abysmally.
"Yes, yes your Lordship," he mused, taking the nearest bucket and carefully slicing a piece off. He offered it to his bronze, who took it with far more delicacy than the man had expected. This time his bronze did give a small snort of amusement. I am no savage, no matter what some migh think. Another, and be quick about it.
All in due time. This time, R'him did push back. He adored his bronze, but he wasn't going to take being ordered around like a drudge. He could tell his bronze did not entirely expect it, but the dragon said nothing. He would be patient. For now.
"Your greens are lovely," he complimented, finally tearing his eyes off Hybreoth long enough to compliment the nearby pair. Hybreoth, for his part, did look upon his sisters with ease. They were no threat to him, after all. Commendable choices. He stated, even if neither boy had been interesting enough to tempt him.

As Ardoxshoth led Yunara around the Sands the girl mused that she was going to well and truly have her hands full. The little queen was certainly a force to be reckoned with... but then again, she'd known others with similar wills, hadn't she? Before the hatchling could fixate on that thought, Yunara gently distracted her with a more pleasing one. "Oh look, little love, your sister has chosen Hers!" she told the queen, who looked grandly from the circle of her arms to where Ara and Damahath stood.
Congratulations are in order... but YunaraMine, I am very hungry, the queen informed her, and the young woman made haste to close the distant between herself and the feeding tables. The space seemed a little crammed at this time, but Ardoxshoth had been very clear in her wants. It had seemed like such a harmless idea, taking her around where she wanted to go. With a creel, the infant queen stared up past the tables to where her great-grandmother, the great Queen Eveleth sat.
It did not escape her notice that her great-granddame was positively surrounded by Sparklies. One day. One day, such a collection of Sparklies would be hers! Grandmother, the little queen said, although she did not add the great- to the forefront (why, after all, draw attention to the distance of the relationship?) I want Sparklies. All of the Sparklies her greedy little paws could have.
Yours look very fine, she said approvingly, taking note of the number and variety of them. Curiously, there weren't so many golden sparkly hides nearby, but... well, perhaps it wasn't to her great-granddame's taste. Before her dragonet could cause further trouble, however, Yunara redirected her attention back to the feeding tables.
"Dearest, look there! Your brothers are already at the feeding table. Don't you want to join them?" she asked, and the little queen jumped down smoothly (or what she thought was smoothly) from her arms. Ah, yes. She did feel hungry, after all... and more than just her bronze brothers were in attendance. Nearly all of the dragonets could be counted among the company.
I hope you saved the best for me, she told them, as she quickened her pace to close the distance between herself and that lovely, lovely food. Yunara hastened to join her, quite aware that her child was likely to cause... a lot of trouble. Particularly if left to her own devices.

R’nori of Green Inannath
Inannath munched on meat with only minor commendation on the choices. Maybe a little larger? or Try that piece over there. But mostly she was content. She watched her siblings with blue and green eyes as they all settled in with their bondmates.
“I didn’t cry,” R’nori admitted, not that there was any shame in either crying or not, “but I do feel like I could burst from emotions.” Turning to D’hka he sighed. “I will be cold though. Not as used to you lot to the temperatures.”
He waved at the familiar face of R’him that came over. “Thank you. And congratulations! He is,” R’nori struggled for the word and finally settled on, “something else.” It was lack luster for what the bronze was, but really, how do you encapsulate a baby dragon into words?
Thank you, brother. Your's is quite fetching. Dearest sister, Inannath turned her attention to the approaching gold, all the food is lovely. I am sure that yours will find the very best just as Mine has.

Heida -- HR, she/her
Heida knew that all eyes were on the lone hatchling left, the little brown from the Black Cat egg who was preening and presenting himself as if to say "Look at me, aren't I glorious?" He was, too, all of them were. The girl watched him pose and thought as hard as she could Please remember me... I touched your shell, we had such a nice conversation despite the upset your siblings caused... Still, even if she didn't Impress, there was always the next clutch. She had to keep reminding herself of that.
~~~~~~~ Lojze -- HR, he/him
And then there was one, the little brown posturing and preening as if he was the star of the show. Lojze watched him -- he was sure every Candidate left on the Sands was watching him. I'm here, little guy, if you're meant to be mine and I Yours. And if I'm not, I hope you find Yours here. If he didn't Impress this time, there would always be other times, especially now as Threadfall was increasing -- more queens would be rising, more clutches would be laid, more dragonriders needed to defend Pern. There was always another chance.
[ a'ide of blue elipsath ] - high reaches weyr - they/he
It wasn't much longer before they'd settled in at the feeding tables, with Elpisath absolutely overjoyed to be in the company of his siblings once more--A'ide was working quickly to ensure that their Blue was well taken care of, passing him his bits of meat without hesitation. In between wolfing down his mean, Elpisath was all too busy creening his greeting to his siblings, eager to be back with all of them again now that he'd found His. However, there was one in particular that he had to address first--
Feidemeth! Did you see? I even got an escort! Of course Elpisath was going to speak to his twin first--while all of them had their own special places in his hearts, Feidemeth had her own little shrine. He sent her nothing but waves of adoration and delight, even if he was a touch distracted with his dinner. I'm so happy for us--Yours is so lovely! You've picked perfectly. It's nice to meet you properly, too! He'd shifted just a touch to speak to Nalacko as well, his tail whipping behind him in unbridled delight. Feidemeth really had chosen well, and Elpisath couldn't be prouder of her. I know you'll do great things with my sister. Watching you go is going to be incredible!
A'ide turned to look over at Nalacko, having little trouble recognizing the pale Green at her side--she was every bit the mirror image of Elpisath, and having them this close just made it all the more obvious. They were both absolutely wonderful dragons, and A'ide couldn't wait to get to know her as well. "Hope you don't mind us scooting in here." A'ide began, flashing a bright smile at Nalacko. "How're you feeling? I know I wasn't expecting this to be--well, this much!"
Lusialu One minute she was holding both Kinye and Yunara's hand... and the next, they were gone. After the blue dragon had come to say hello, a brown had followed--giving Kinye some lovely attention. That the brown said nothing to her did not matter... she had wondered if her friend had finally found Hers, but it was not to be. The dragon had moved on.
She had been about to ask her friend what that was all about when a green appeared...
And this time, this time it was Hers. "Oh!" She had involuntarily stepped back, wanting to give the green and Kinye some space. Though she had been anxious on Elibrie's behalf, it was hard not to feel joy for Kinye. She had finally done it! She had finally found her green! Any pang of envy she felt she tried distinctly to flatten, to hide, to bury. Impression was a beautiful thing, and she would not, could not, stand in her way.
Maybe... Maybe her luck would change, too. Maybe...
Ah, a gold!
She was breathtaking up close, and for one hopeful moment, Lusialu almost began to hope--
But it was Yunara who suddenly had her arms around the queen. Yunara, who had only just become a Candidate, had found Hers. She stared hard at her foster-sister, her smile becoming just a bit more forced as her own envy welled up within her. If her eyes stung, if her throat caught, she fought to keep her composure.
Neither girl would notice, after all. Not when they had found Theirs.
"She's wonderful," she murmured to Yunara, stepping even further back. "They both are." She did not expect either to hear, and though she kept her smile on her face, the reality of the situation was beginning to dawn on her. By the time both of the women had left to take care of Theirs--as they should--she saw the dragonets remaining were few and far between.
No greens or blues looked her way. The remaining queen found Hers, and now, all that was left was a brown. She had nothing against browns, and had not yet given up hope fully... But she had no faith that a brown would want her, and at present, he wasn't looking at her at all.
Once again...Another sister--nevermind it was not by blood--had found a Queen. C'lusi had found a blue. And Lusialu remained alone. Any hopes she had of working with Yunara during Candidate lessons, or helping one another with lessons, went completely out the window. Worse still, Kinye and Elibrie would be gone and moved to the Weyrling Barracks. Oh, it was an exciting opportunity for them, surely... but...
Ah, there went the brown now, too. Any last hope to Impress was fully and utterly vanquished. Not this time, at least.
Lusialu was an envious being herself, and while she had managed to temper it well enough, today... Today was full of complications. She tried veyr hard to think happy, welcoming thoughts--the brown was quite welcome, after all--but her hearts were certainly bruised. She wanted so badly to be nothing be pleased for both Kinye and Yunara--but the sting of rejection felt doubly strong this time. If ever she had hoped she might follow in Alumet's footsteps, such dreams were surely dashed now. Even if she was lucky enough to someday tempt a queen, it would be of no consequence to her family. It would be something both Alumet and, now Yunara, had already done.
If she were to stand out on her own and not be, once more, overshadowed by her dearest family, it would not be through a dragon. Perhaps she had too lofty a goal. Perhaps, she was too jealous a girl, and no dragon would want such a thing. She would be happy for Kinye, Elibrie, and Yunara-- but certainly, before she ran to give them proper congratulations, she would excuse herself to have a good, private cry. She would not show red-eyes to her friends and family--they would be none the wiser.
She would get over it, as certain as the sun would shine, but in the heat of the moment, for just one selfish minute, she would let herself weep. Surely, a dragon would find her interesting enough someday, and she would get to be useful...Surely, she would find her own place, and do things to make her family proud. She would never fill the shoes of her beautiful mother, or her goldrider sisters; she would never be like her charming brother, who had two lovers and now two beautiful babies...
She gave a deep breath, keeping herself as composed as she could. With the last Impression made, it was time to go. The weyrlings would need to be fed and oiled, and the Weyr would prepare for its Feast. Juhvek... Well. Certainly, he would be at the infirmary, and she could weep for him, too. While she hadn't known him as well as Elibrie, she had been in lessons with him all the same, and they had been weyrbrats together (albeit with quite an age gap).
She would be all smiles later... but for now, it was time to exist the Sands, and compose herself. She truly was a selfish girl, wasn't she? But at least, for now, if she had her way...nobody would have to know.
