Learning the truth about her brother thanks to Sayer and Yusei, Misty wishes for Akiza to finish the duel and apologizes for blaming Akiza. Akiza does win the duel, thus freeing Misty from the grip of the dark signers, but just as that duel finishes, the sun sets making it too late to seal the rest of the towers. On top of that, it seems like a new dark signer has appeared in Carly's spot.

Rex Goodwin is both a signer and a dark signer, which means that he wants to rule the world. Crow Hogan, Jack Atlas, and Yusei Fudo plan to put a stop to the crazy before the ruler of the netherworld should arrive at the mark of the condor. Should the ruler arrive before the duel ends, the world is doomed.

Rex uses a Sun dragon and a Moon dragon for monsters before summoning his earthbound immortal that takes Crow out of the duel. It is now up to Jack and Yusei to finish Rex off.

Rex takes out Jack, but thanks to Yusei's bond to his friends and the fact that Jack and Crow had 1 life point left, the team was able to take down Rex and save the world. Now that the bridge has been built as promised, the question remains, what new adventures await our heroes?

As Yusei suspected, a new threat has dawned upon New Domino City. This time, there is apparently some "ghost" taking on duelists, but is able to bypass the safety features and is hurting them. 3 new directors has taken over Rex Goodwin's spot, but they obviously have evil intent.

Yusei duels the Ghost and wins and apparently, the ghost is actually a duel bot that was reprogrammed. Our heroes know that unless whoever sent the bot is stopped, the city and then the world will be in danger once again.

A teacher at Duel Academy was being unfair to the students and so the chancellor got Yusei to teach the teacher a lesson about dueling. When Yusei won, he showed the teacher just how valuable weaker monsters can be. Usually, a weaker monster will make up for its lack of strength with its ability.

An old man living in Satellite refuses to go live with Martha because he was waiting for his son to return, but the thing is, his son is not coming back. Using a junk deck, the old man duels Crow and Crow beats him. Deep down, all the old man wanted was a duel on his custom made duel arena with someone as old as his little boy before moving on. Now the issue is finding out who wants to destroy the world this time.

Yusei, Jack, and Crow have to earn a living now that they are living together, but Jack doesn't seem to be pulling his weight. He orders coffee that he cannot pay for, for example. Then Crow lays down the law to Jack where Jack finds a duelist who was being tormented by a Mafia lord. And so, by winning the duel, Crow realizes that if its everyday work, Jack can't do s**t, but when it comes to dueling he's only second best to Yusei, which is still better than everyone else.

Leo, Luna, and Dexter went to go investigate the rumors of the forest where evil spirits had taken two kids and now other kids go missing. Luna gets lured by the one responsible for the missing kids whose name is Haley. Haley wanted to protect his kid sister not knowing that he and his sister were taken by the spirits because the spirits wanted two fun kids to play with. As soon as Leo beats Haley, and Haley realizes the truth, both Haley and his kid sister return to the spirit world happier than they ever had been.

Everyone knows that Yusei Fudo is the hottest duelist around and because of the grand prix turbo dueling championship coming up, everyone wants him for their team. One group knocked Yusei out and stored him in a truck with his runner.

When that plan failed, another group, specifically a French lady by the name of Sherri LeBlanc turbo dueled him just after he was rescued by Akiza.

Yusei is trying to get it into everybody's heads that he has already formed a team with Jack and Crow.

The duelists that shoved Yusei into a truck tried to get their revenge, but once again was saved by Akiza who played Stardust dragon. Stardust was able to hold the truck that was falling for long enough that Sherri and Yusei could ride out of the way. Thanks to the truck on the road, the duel was forced to stop. Sherri would have won the duel most likely. Akiza wants to learn to be a turbo duelist because she wants to experience what Yusei and Sherri did up close. Yusei now has to figure out what he is dueling for. He always thought it was for the thrill of it, but perhaps there is more to why he does it.

Yusei has a nightmare about the ghost and cannot figure out what it means. He suggests a duel against Jack, but Jack proves that the ghost shouldn't be feared. Later, at a party, Yusei is still thinking about his nightmare when a duelist crashes it and one of the directors goes after the party crasher. Everyone thinks that the director is the ghost. Yusei, Crow, and Akiza were going to go after the ghost, but another duelist named Viser stops them claiming that they are not ready yet to face this foe. Instead, Yusei should duel Viser to get the answers that Yusei seeks.

First Viser challenges Yusei to a race, which tests to see if Yusei has the speed needed for the synchro solution. Then, it was onto a turbo duel where even though Yusei won, he had a lot to learn about accel synchro monsters. Apparently, if you have a synchro tuner monster and a normal synchro monster, you can perform an accel synchro summon, which is more powerful that normal synchro summoning.

Akiza learns to be a turbo duelist by first learning how to ride a runner and then taking on Trudge in a turbo duel and winning. Some bullies tried to stop Akiza, but they only showed how weak they are.
