Many miles north of Kumoito is a scenic stop known as Gakemichi Wharf. Just one spot along the expansive north coastline forming Gaikotsu Bay. Several trails lead from onto the rocky coastlines as others lead up and onto the tops of timeworn cliffsides for an amazing view.

Salty air reached to her nostrils as she let out a sigh to relief. There was something about the sea that always put her at ease. Helped her calm down as her heavy and fast-paced breathing had slowed to strong deep breaths. The wind picked up yards ago and now it was really blowing through, her blue hair dancing with the salty wind. The waves crashing against the rocks gave silence to her overwhelming mind. When she made it to the sand, she removed her footwear and carefully walked on the sandy and rocky beach. Gakemichi Wharf had always been one of her few favorites, mostly because of the lack of people. The other areas of the Gaikotsu and Haran Bay were beautiful and more people-friendly. Not many dare to swim against the harsh and choppy waves that the Wharf gave. But for this jinchuriki, it was one of the best spots to visit. She much rather be on the sands than the rocks above. Calm and still, she made her way over to the waves and stood there, the high waves reaching to her ankle so she looked out at the horizon. Nami noticed that despite the waves were rough, they were actually calmer than usual.
'The calm before the storm. Isobu chimed into her mind as Nami's lips curved into a slight frown. 'Not many know that you are with me... how can they find us,' Nami asked pensively. 'Jashin created us. If he wishes to find us, we will be found.' There was a tone of malice in his voice, despite Isobu hiding into his shell right now. Nami closed her eyelids and sees Isobu before her. He emerged from the shell, 'Don't let him have me... Nami. Nami frowned as she walked up to Isobu and gently rested her hand on a small space of his massive jaw. 'I'll do everything I can, Isobu. They both let out a long slow exhale as Nami opened her eyelids and sees the horizon lay before her once again. Walked into the sea, her body started to be covered with peral-y like solid substance as she went into the sea.
PassiveEffects: • • Crystallization | All Shoton techniques have the innate ability to crystallize chakra upon collision. Techniques that are not a rank higher nor overwhelm the Shoton technique will be instantly crystallized through. For example, a B-Rank Shoton technique colliding with a B-Rank fireball will result in the Shoton technique being destroyed and the fireball being rendered a useless clump of crystal. Once techniques are crystallized they are rendered useless to the caster. Additionally, the Shoton user can shatter a crystalized technique or object at will with no chakra or combat action cost. Finally, if the cost is paid twice for a Shoton technique then it will be able to crystallize overwhelming techniques and techniques up to one rank higher. This does not consume a combat action and can only be performed once per post. • Born Enchanter | All Shoton users of the genjutsu class automatically obtain the enchanter/enchantress path of a genjutsu class specialist (see genjutsu/genjutsu cross class). If the Shoton user is a genjutsu specialist already then they may be an enchanter/enchantress as well as a second path (illusionist, trickster, and conjurer). Ergo, if you are single genjutsu class then you get the enchanter path from genjutsu specialist and if you are a genjutsu specialist then you get the enchanter path as well as a second path of your choosing. _✧Those who are a specialist can choose one category of genjutsu to follow as a path. You can follow the path of the illusionist (illusory focus), enchanter/enchantress (enchantment focus), trickster (instance focus), or conjurer (chain focus). Selecting a Path grants [3] additional custom slots and [1] keystone for techniques of that category. Genjutsu that are cast by those of this specialization are more efficient as according to the user's body rank, all Genjutsu are [10] Chakra cheaper to perform with the user's specialized Focus are further reduced by another [5] Chakra per body rank. No cost can be lower than a minimum of [5] Chakra. Once every other post all three of the genjutsu specialist's actions in a post can be used for genjutsu.
Genjutsu Path: Enchantress • Crystal Ball | The Shoton user's crystals can act as a crystal ball and produce divination visions by applying an E-Rank amount of chakra for no action cost. This allows viewing the crystals to be used as a sight trigger for genjutsu. Genjutsu triggered with this method cost one rank higher to kai but require one tier lower to release through pain at a maximum of S+ chakra and a minimum of tier one pain. In addition, as a clairvoyant, all genjutsu with sight as the primary sense can last for an additional [2] posts with no upkeep cost. • Crystalline Rampart | Defensive crystal techniques are one rank stronger against spiritual techniques in collisions. Crystal techniques also lose their weakness to sound techniques. Finally, all doton techniques can be classified as shoton techniques for no resource or action cost but only originally crystal defenses gain the one rank increase.
As part of her training and evolution into a proper soldier of the Lightning Empire, Tsukiko was tasked with learning about careers and assisting in minor ways in order to become a more well-rounded asset. The first career that interested her the most was that of Monster Hunting. Sea Monsters were a thing that captains of boats often ran into, so she reported in to the docks to work on a ship and help an old salty captain in exchange for tips and lessons on becoming a good beginner. 'The first thing ye gotta have, lass, is a good set o' 'quipment. Maintainin' and keepin' it in shape too. So ye' can help me out by cleaning the nets and sharpenin' the blades. In exchang, I'll teach ya about them thar yokai an monsters.', the old man explained as he put a pipe between his lips and began to smoke. Tsukiko noted with her own keen observation that the pipe was made from the bone of dragon, probably a Tatsuo. The frost soldier knew the man was credible, but as she cleaned his net and considered the pipe, it was clear she was learning from one of the best.

So, as she sat down and began to study his stories and tall tales, Tsukiko spent time getting the grains of truth from them while she worked for the man. Some of her family might find the menial labor of cleaning and sharpening blades to be beneath them. Even Tsukiko was having difficulty with humbling herself to the task, but learning about the Ladon was useful. The older man droned on about them and about how they had a silver allergy. It then occurred to Tsuki that she had just cleaned a silver lined net, and it made sense why a sea based hunter would carry one on them. Even some of the hooks on his harpoons had silver tips, which lead her to believe that this must be one of her current mentor's primary targets.

The time spent on the boat in the wharf with the old sea-based Monster Hunter was not without it's own tedium and troubles. Tsukiko had never really done any manual labor like this outside of combat drills and physical training, so it was a new experience. It did leave the trainee in some binds. 'No lass, gotta sharpen' tha blade this'o way. Thas' it. Gots to be nice' an sharp for cuttin' away at them thar monster parts. One o' the profitable reasons fer doin' it in the firs' place besides the fame and ladies.', the old sea captain explained, as Tsukiko learned how to sharpen and clean monster crafting tools, specifically the blades used to harvest monster scales, teeth, and whatever else one might need.

The day turned into three, and during the course of this week spent on the old monster hunter's boat, Tsukiko had begun to gain a healthy understanding of why the Lightning Empire needed Monster Hunters. It was a valid source of income, but also provided a resource for stronger weapons and armor. There was also the fact that any civilized society needed brave individuals to take care of anything from pests to dragons. As she continued to refurbish, sharpen, and organize the captain's gear there was a decent build up of desire to go out and prove herself beyond just being a carefully bred soldier of ice, but a true asset to the nobles.

With the last day of her studies under the old sea captain complete, Tsukiko felt relieved as she placed the final harpoon in the rack with the rest. When she looked around, the man's old and crusty boat looked almost new. It seems the time she had spent refurbishing and fixing his gear while studying about monsters paid off for the both of them. Now she had an idea of how she could serve her country, and the captain had a nice and shiny sea-monster hunting schooner...at least until some other hapless trainee got suckered into doing free work for lessons.
