Phoebe is incredibly compassionate, especially to the woes of childhood. She is good about taking care of those around her, especially younger people who may need a loving adult.

xxxxx⇾ Snakes. Phoebe loves most pets. But when she was very young, a snake surprised her from the underbrush. She was bitten, startled, and nearly killed before their family cat attacked it, saving her. She was rushed to St. Mungo’s and saved, but her cat was less lucky, dying as it took down the snake. Phoebe still has a pale mark on her ankle, and whenever she’s near snakes it tends to tingle. Ironic, because Ophiuchus and Serpens are amongst her favorite constellations.
xxxxx⇾ Pareselmouths -- she knows pareselmouths aren’t necessarily evil, but ever since her trauma with a snake, she can’t quite help but shiver when she hears parseltongue.

From a modest income pureblood family where she never worried about money but also rarely had money for luxuries. Parents were ministry workers--a secretary and an unspeakable (Clarke means clerk). She didn’t spend the most time in the world with them, but still had an amicable relationship with her parents. When she was five, Phoebe was playing in her backyard, when a snake slithered out from under a bush. While it did bite her ankle, her cat came to her rescue when she screamed. The cat was able to kill the snake, though it was bitten and unfortunately perished. Phoebe was saved since her mom was home to rush her to St Mungo’s. She showed her magic the next year, accidentally healing a broken bone suffered by her neighbor before he could be rushed to the hospital.

Phoebe was sorted into Hufflepuff, a house that she quickly fell in love with. One of the older students was able to help her with her struggles in Defence class, and the two became buddies of sorts. Phoebe did well in her classes, and quite enjoyed her time in classes, just as much as her time elsewhere.

In her third year, Phoebe’s father suffered a heart attack and passed away while Phoebe was still in school. With only a letter from her mom to go off, the girl was quite heartbroken. Louise, her older student buddy supported her through the process, even helping with extra homework and making sure she made it through.

When Louise graduated in Phoebe’s fourth year, Phoebe took on the role of mentor herself, helping a few of the new first years out and making sure they felt as safe as Louise had made her feel. It was a small thing, but it was the least she could do.

Shortly after Phoebe graduated, she took on a job as an Astronomer. She was able to study several places, including Chile, Haiti, and the States. A few years later, the offer for becoming a Hogwarts professor came to her. After careful thought, she accepted the position, moving happily into the school she once loved as a student. She worked at Hogwarts, teaching the upper years Astronomy. After several years, Phoebe was offered the spot as Hufflepuff’s Head of House, which she accepted gladly. She continued teaching, loving lots of the sweet students she met.
