There are benefits to being hatched a metallic, regardless which Weyr you hail from, or your personal views. For a gold is still the most powerful dragon color on Pern, and even among fire-lizards and whers, this hierarchy can often be on full display. Why shouldn't the golden girls of Pern be given their proper due?
Perhaps they might not feel worthy of such a crowd, but whether they like it or not, want it or not, there will always be dragons who are there for their every beck and call. Traditionally it is the bronzes of the Weyr that are the mates of the queen, though a rugged brown might also be considered in more recent Turns. And while blues, greens, and even whites might not be able to catch a queen, they could still be fondly adoring from the side or wish to serve in other ways.
To all those dragons, I say this is your lucky day.

How To Play
For Gold Owners
1. Sign up up to two (2) Queens max
2. Wait for us to roll their Entourge
3. Have fun!
For Those Signing Up to Win Someone in the Entourage(s)
1. Sign up a maximum of five (5) Entourage Possibilities
2. Wait for us to assign them to a queen
3. Win art (if needed) and create their profile asap
4. Have fun!
This game will be run in two parts. The first part is the sign-up stage where players with golden ladies may sign up a maximum of two queens. Additionally, players interested in being assigned a future dragon for a coterie can also sign up separately. While you won't know what pet you'll be given, and you won't know to whom which gold you will be devoted, you will need to create a rider name, a dragon name, and a short description of your dragon's loyalty.
This could be something brief such as: "Exampleth will be at the queen's beck and call, any hour, any day." or "Exampleth may have a devoted mate but will happily be an accessory any given time or day when asked." You may enter up to five (5) Coterie Concepts as you'd like, but know that we will try to share the love before we repeat. We are hoping to get each gold 2-3 dragons minimum in their coterie, which means we need more Coterie Concepts than entered golds.
That said, you may also enter premade bronzes and browns if you wish. Note: If you enter a brown, some gold's might not be open to having a brown in their coterie. That said, some gold's may not like bronzes period so it's kind of a mixed bag. The gold's who enter will be able to note a preference, but sometimes may still walk away with dragons in their entourage who were either assigned (looking at you Eveleth) or otherwise just are hard-wired.
They can be up to a small paragraph if you're really feeling it, but we mostly want to have a small idea of what dragon you're interested in playing. Keeping in mind the rest of their personality is up to you, all we ask is that these dragons remain a little loyal to their assigned gold, regardless what other connections they eventually find/have/get.
In High Reaches, very often the Senior Queen Eveleth will direct bronzes and some browns to tend to the needs of her favored queen's. In Western, any coterie that develops usually does without much aid or outside interference.
Once we close sign-ups, we will randomize a gold, randomize an assigned player, and grab one of the bronzes (or browns, or other colors) from our kitty! This is kind of a beta test so it might work out well, or it might be a disaster.
All we ask is ....
1. Please limit it to active queens. If you haven't RPed your gold in the past year, please don't sign them up. If this goes well we'll do it again later. You may sign up for an Entourage though (i.e. someone in the coterie)
2. If you win a dragon in an Entourage (or multiple) you will need to get them created and approved. We ask you do this soon as possible. No matter your feelings regarding the gold or the gold player, your Entourage must be committed. No changing their mind once you win them.
3. Please try to be a little active with your Entourage. We get everyone is busy but these aren't meant to be sig-candy. A coterie does no good if they're not at least attempted to be written/RPed. You don't have to RP often but an attempt would be nice. If you haven't RPed in the past year, or have no intention of RPing, we do ask you to sit this one out.

Devotee Type: A bit of an ambitious show-off, Daumaritj is the type of Brown to just want to naturally control everything. Not because of any micromanaging tendencies, but because he genuinely believes he is the best-suited for the role (which role? Any role). He is full of compliments and flattery, but his egocentrism and pride may be his downfall: he can be petty and jealous if he feels he has to share the limelight with some other fellow. He doesn't expect devotion, and surely will never settle down into a single relationship, but he does expect to be praised for the wonderful specimen he is. He may not be the most loyal, but he offers gossipy camaraderie, a great sense of fun and a desire to shine whilst the sun is still bright.

Entourage Type: Though weyrmated to a Blue, Lirasheth is the doting type who enjoys spending her time with other female dragons. She enjoys showering clutching golds with time and attention, bringing them whatever their hearts desire (if their own partners cannot or do not choose to do that themselves). Lirasheth typically falls into an 'auntie' role amongst newborn dragons, spending a great deal of time and attention on golds who would let her rest with them in the Stands. She dispenses good advice and counsel when called upon, and offers a soothing, comforting presence.

Queens' Color Preferences Vicortath is very definite that bronzes are the only appropriate dragon to fly a queen, but dragons of any color may do well from a queens beneficence, and will welcome dragons of any color to her coterie, so long as they are respectful and always aware that she is doing them a great favor by granting them her time and attention. Her rider is both shy and eccentric and uninterested in befriending her dragon's friends' riders.

Entourage Type: Chaioth is a model Bronze, and does whatever he can to maintain his image as such. He's intensely vain, which makes him an excellent example of arm candy for his queen--it just so happens that that's his favorite role, fortunately, and one he's more than happy to fill at a moment's notice. His aloof nature makes it a little hard for him to make close friends, especially when his ego comes into play, but he's well acquainted with the hierarchy and the nature of his own duties as a Bronze of High Reaches, and has little issue with convincing himself to do as he needs to. Second only to his opinion of himself, Chaioth is most concerned with what he can do for his queen--and by extension, his weyr. Serving his queen is serving the weyr, after all, and he's wrapped both up in a convenient package that he can process all at once. Although he may not be the sharpest dragon out there, he's pretty and makes for delightful conversation, and his compliance with the traditional views of the weyr means that he won't rock the boat, either.

Entourage Type: Soft-spoken and supportive, Neferisth is a pillar of comfort for his queen to turn to, ever ready to lend a sympathetic ear or loving hearts should they be needed. He's not an especially showy Bronze, however, and quickly gets awkward when placed under the spotlight--he at least hopes that it's viewed as something endearing rather than annoying, and will do whatever he can to push himself through these bouts of nervousness for his Gold should she require it. He's a romantic and a poet at his core, and is prone to waxing on and on about his queen when given the opportunity; never can it be said that Neferisth doesn't devote all of his hearts to someone. He doesn't have to be his queen's one and only, but she is his, and he can only hope to be good enough for her when called upon.

Entourage Type: Seurlacth is an upstart, plain and simple. His biggest issue is with Bronzes, and he's competitive enough to challenge them for more of his queen's favor if given the opportunity. He understands the traditional limitations of High Reaches, but wants to be so much more than some second in command Brown--he's eager to do whatever he can to prove to his queen that he's more than just his color, and perhaps even the weyr at large as well. He's vocal and at times aggressive, with a fiery intensity that manifests in nearly everything he does, but his prickly nature softens when faced with his queen--he's devoted himself to her in the hopes that she'll see him for who he is at his core, and although he knows he'll likely never capture her hearts, Seurlacth finds little reason to stop. He's intensely loyal, and will always be ready to serve the Gold that's chosen him for her own; she's his sun, and he won't choose another unless she allows it.

Entourage Type: Between Voishteth's sheer energy and how enthused he is about things, his queen can be sure that this Bronze will be ready at a moment's notice. He's a veritable ray of sunshine, and it's nigh impossible to keep him down for long. Voishteth's attention may be somewhat hard to hold for long periods of time, but his queen is one of the few who can command it for as long as she needs; he's more than willing to bend over backwards for her, driven by a need to please that will see him putting almost too much energy into what she asks of him. He's a dutiful chaser, and is a perfect, albeit command hyperactive, gentleman in the air.

Entourage Type: A gentle, well-meaning Green with a penchant for sticking her nose in others' business, Plusoth is a fine choice to gather information for her queen. She's an excellent listener and has no qualms with being something of a spy or a gossip hound, as long as her queen dotes on her enough at the end of the day--Plusoth is utterly smitten with her, and will do anything she asks if she only flutters her eyes at her for a moment. Although she knows she'll never be her queen's chosen mate, she can't help but yearn anyway; her devotion is lifelong, and she'd go to the ends of the earth if asked. While she can't be her queen's how she desperately wants to be, Plusoth is at least sure of one thing--if she can't have her queen's hearts to herself, she can be her favorite, and she's willing to work for it.

Entourage Type: He cute, but he dumb. Nemienth is all brawn and little brain, but he doesn’t seem to mind. This is a bronze who was hatched ready to spread good cheer and genuine affection to the world. For Nemienth IS an affectionate bronze; he will twine tails with anyone who gets close enough, and is always happy to nuzzle, cuddle, and otherwise find ways to get his snugs on. The gold he is assigned will find Nemienth eager to please and a constant figure in her life. He will be at her beck and call, regardless of treatment. He’s not, of course, entirely dimwitted--he just isn’t nearly as sharp and clever as some of his clutchmates and others in the Weyr. While he might not be the world’s brightest star, he is certainly one of Pern’s most genuine.

Oh, certainly, he can do his duty but he’d much rather be lounging with his toes in the sand, soaking up the sun, and gossiping with those in his crew. He’s delighted to have been chosen, and will devote himself fully to the queen, as well as those that are in the coterie with equal fervor. While he won’t outright disparage those in other circles, he knows he is supporting the best of the best, bar none. Azajenth might enjoy the beach, but he will go to the ends of the world, if his queen wished it. Entourage Type: Harbrigeth is a large, quiet bronze who says little, but feels deeply--not that many know it. Ever watchful, this dragon tends to be more reserved in a crowd, preferring to listen than speak, and can be known to put others in their place with a snarl or rumble; during quiet moments, if he is singled out for conversation particularly, Harbrigeth might allow himself to open up. He is not shy, he simply isn’t a dragon who feels the need to fight for attention and he certainly isn’t known to be wordy; let others with far larger egos take up the room or stay in the limelight--Harbrigeth is more then content to remain staunchly where he is. While he is a bronze of few words, he can be protective, and even aggressive or territorial around strangers, or perceived competitors. His lack of sociability makes him an odd one in a coterie--but it is clear he is there to do whatever is asked of him and his chosen queen. He isn’t easy to get close to, but his barbed-wire hearts are at least dutiful and loyal.

He is a bronze who can be, perhaps, a bit expectorant-- he does adhere to the chain of command, and can chafe when he must tolerate the presence of upstart or those who are rude--but Tieximath is far from callous or cruel. In fact, this bronze is very much on the side of good, and throws himself into his duties with gusto. While he has dreams of possible leadership, he knows knows that there is steep competition among his peers, and that it might be some time before he ever gets the power he craves. Ever a benevolent and knightly sort, Tieximath believes all ladies, of any color, are ladies, and should be treated as such. Bronzes, especially, had ought to be perfect gentlemen and is what Tieximeth strives to be. He will be wholly devoted to the gold, ever at her beck and call, willing to fight against any she might ask.

Entourage Type: Sunny, warm, and affectionate, Yinth definitely is there for being supportive and comforting. He's a quick, acrobatic fellow who is as amiable to doing quick errand running as he is to helping get a jump on a much bigger to-do or project. He truly just wants to be useful and to be there for his queen. He'd look to be friendly with the other members of the coterie, though Adar will be on the lookout to make sure her sweet, overly go with the flow blue isn't letting himself be taken for granted, potentially bullied, or taking on more than he can reasonably handle.

Entourage Type: A songbird and a showman, Chirikuth is a chirpy, gregarious, vocal fellow, full of bugles, trills, croons, and all manner of other noise, who loves songs and poetry. A bard? A jester? A friend or companion? Min brown Chirikuth is as versatile as he is agile. Need him to pop over somewhere to fetch something? Done! Protect or defend his queen or a member of the coterie? He's there! Want help staving off the winter's chill? He's happy to snuggle up and help provide some company! Really, all his queen need do is ask and he will rise to the occasion. Not over fond of tensions or awkwardness, he's the sort to try to lighten the mood or otherwise redirect energies elsewhere if he feels things have soured or stagnated. He's fully capable of taking things seriously, but that doesn't mean he needs to be stone faced serious all the time to show this. Tends to be pretty good at reading others but may cause more serious, dour dragons to chafe against him if he doesn't pick up what they're putting down quick enough.

Entourage Type: As large as a white can be, Inyinyonith has an intensity burning in him that can surprise some given his color in the Weyr he's in and generally quiet, composed bearing, which he applies equally to his duties as to more social or non-work related pursuits. He is fiercely loyal to his queen and has unwavering conviction for serving her, keeping her safe and happy, and doing his damnedest to be supportive however she may need him. He believes that the members of the coterie have a responsibility to look out for each other, to help each other be their best so that they can best perform what may be required of them. If another member seems out of sorts or if they become injured, Inyinyonith will go out of his way to check in on them, offer himself as a shoulder to lean on, or someone to talk to. A dragon of his word and a dutiful brother in arms, he's happy to play the paladin, the confidant, or whatever else he may need to be for his queen in her court.

Ok I think these are our lists....with a bit of redundancy regarding color gaia_star
What I am going to try is go down our lists. First I'll randomize a gold, then I'll randomize which derg out of the associated Weyr, attempting to keep color prefs of the queen in mind.
I think we can home 3 dragons for each listed gold at High Reaches, and have a few remaining which I can randomize which lucky golds get the extra.
For Western, hot diggity, just due to numbers alone I think each gold will get assigned 4, with a possibility of 5 for some of them. Assuming I math'd correctly.
I will also try to spread the character love around so the same player doesn't get the same gold for every entrant, and will try to avoid sticking players in their own gold's coterie--but no guarantees.
Let's see how this goes (once I double check the list).
Last note: I will likely be giving out premades from out kitty for dergs who need art -- some of these dragons might be from ex-colorists who are long gone, some might be more detailed, some might be more simple, these are literally just whatever we have sitting there. So please don't get jealous or salty if someone gets an extra-detailed one, and another one is more simple. It's not the art that makes the dragon, but the way they are RPed!
